Arrow

“Love patiently… because Love is like baking. Wait patiently, and it will be sweet in the end. Rush it and it collapses on itself. Save some for later because if you gobble it all up, your insides will hurt, and you can't share it with another person.”

a character in “Love Cafe”, as played by ChildOfNone

Description

Appearance-
Image

Name-
Arrow
Age Appearance-
20 years old.
Role-
Average Angel/Baker
Second Animal-
Cat
Powers-
~Empathy; Arrow can understand and even feel the emotions of those around him if he so choses.
~Arrow can put certain emotions in his baking’s/cooking’s/mixtures; he guesses that this might be a result of his power in empathy.
~He can fully turn into his Cat form.
Personality-
Arrow is as sweet as the pastries he bakes. He’s kind, caring and all around lovable. He’s a fairly happy person by nature and nothing much gets him down. He loves making friends and meeting new people so that makes him a very sociable person. The fact that Arrow is mostly always happy doesn’t mean he doesn’t ever feel anything other than joy. It doesn’t happen often but he can have quite the temper. Of course his temper mostly comes out when people go into his kitchen without permission, when people try to sneak eat one of his pastries, when someone screws with his ingredients or some other things. Other times he’ll be blue/down but this rarely happens.
Bio-
Arrow started out as a pretty low messenger angel. He’d deliver any messages, letters, mail, summons, etc. to any angel that required it. Sooner or later he was placed into study so they could find out what his affinity would be. Turns out that Arrow had a talent in the food area. More so in baking than anything but still quite talented in cooking as well. So from there he was placed into an apprenticeship with a fairly well known baker. While this baker was well known, not many angels really liked him because of his eccentricities. But Arrow came to think of him fondly and even thought of him as a surrogate father. Sooner than most angels believed Arrow learned everything that there was to know. Still, there wasn’t many tasks given to him after that and slowly Arrow grew despondent. That was, until Cupid himself offered him a place in his grand plan to take humans into his own hands. Arrow gladly followed along, feeling giddy at the thought of finally making people happy with his pastry creations.
[color=darkred]Favorite-

Cake~
Strawberry Tart With Pastry Cream!
(Though really he loves all types of cakes; he’s a baker, of course he does!)
Drink~
Surprise! Tea: A special blend of tea that Arrow made himself, he uses the exact same ingredients and the exact same amount every time but somehow it always ends up tasting different but no worries! It always tastes perfectly delicious.

Arrow

Arrow had slept in his cat form again. It didn’t really bother him but sometimes the animal instinct to be lazy overwhelmed him. Still, he shook himself and streched out his muscles before jumping off his bed and landing on his feet as his normal self. Well, as normal as you can get with an angel. He blinked away the sleep from his eyes and dragged himself to the bathroom. After freshening up a bit he stepped out, freshly changed into his ever white Bakers outfit. His usual sunny smile adorned his face and his eyes sparkled in clarity that hadn’t been there just minutes ago.

Bounding out to the front of the café Arrow noticed Alex and three customers already sitting and in the “Singles” section no less. “Good day and welcome!” he said sunnily to all of them, throwing them a toothy grin in greeting. He turned then, specifically, to talk to Alex. “Will the regular batch do for today or do you want anything special done on the side?” he asked.

He made a mental list of every regular pastry they sold then another list of the ones he’d made last night and put to cool. He’d have to take those out in a few minutes, lest they get too cold and hard. They would be ready to put out in display and customers could pick from those while he baked the afternoon batch and then another night batch. He wondered momentarily if the chocolate was still rich and decided he’d check on that. Otherwise it would spoil and taste bitter and give awful stomachaches. His focus returned to Alex and he waited for his orders.

Farrah Nicolai

You have been cordially invited to the wedding of:
Violet Hilliard & Jean Nicolai
...
We hope to see you there in our most joyous celebration of love!

Farrah had read this for perhaps the hundredth time and it still didn’t quite feel real. Her brother, her geeky, lovable, dorky brother, was getting married. Finally after reading it one more time she let her eyes lower to the small message below written in her brother’s chicken scratch scrawl:

Can you believe it!?! :)

No. No, Farrah couldn’t believe it. She knew her brother had no idea about Gage, her mother’s ex-husband, but she couldn’t help feeling slightly betrayed. Her mother had given the invitation to her this morning and had been excited that her eldest son was finally settling down. She, on the other hand, wanted to give her brother a good shake and yell at him, Are you insane!?! What in the world are you thinking!? What drug are you on!?! She threw the card under the bed and quickly got dressed. For today she chooses her black antique dress. She puts on the matching old style lace up heeled boots and then gives herself a good look in the mirror. Her lips quirk and she ties the ribbon at her neck perfectly (from long hours of practice) to make the look more natural. Now she fully smiles, knowing she looks like a girl from a far off past when ladies weren’t supposed to show ankles. This will be her look today.

She hurries out with a “See you later!” to her mom and makes her way down her street. People are staring at her and giggling behind her back but Farrah doesn’t care. She loves to dress up and she isn’t ashamed to show it. Rounding the corner she stops in front of a small café. She’d been there yesterday, oddest thing happened… her wallet had disappeared. Next thing she knows it was still in her pocket. She gives the door a look, shrugs and bounds in walking straight for the “Singles” section. She hops onto the chair and gives a hello to every before turning to the owner of the place. “One coffee, black, really strong please.” She says, then mutters to herself, “I’m going to need it.”

Zachary Conway
The Troubled

~I feel insane every single time I'm asked to compromise. Because I'm afraid and stuck in my ways and that's the way it staaaaaays! So how long did I expect love to outweigh ignorance? By that look on your face, I may have forced the scale to tiiiiip!!! I'm not insane, I'm not insane! I'm not insane, I'm not- not insane!~

"Huh?" Zachary looked up to see that someone had spoken to him, snapping him out of the 'zone' he had been in. He offered his signature warm smile followed by the pausing of his MP3 so that he could actually completely focus on the man. "Oh, hello....Alex?" he said the name with a question-like tone, as he wasn't sure if that was someone else's name or not. He didn't want to seem disrespectful by not being completely sure of the names and accidently calling someone by someone else's name. He ended up scratching the back of his neck before speaking any further. "It's good to see you too, and...." he frowned. "I'm sorry about yesterday. However, I have come to the conclusion that my wallet might double as a ninja. In any case, I made sure my wallet was with me today, so I will pay for yesterday's previous order,"

Zach wasn't one to leave debts unpaid or kind acts to go unrewarded. He wasn't really sure how to pay them back for being so kind. It actually made him feel even more welcome than he already felt here. In addition to that kindness, there was always--

"Good day and welcome!.....Will a regular batch do or for today or do you want anything special done on the side?"

If he remembered correctly, that was the baker. He had briefly come out yesterday, but Zach never caught his name. The employees seemed a bit too gay for their jobs, and Zach briefly rolled the thought of asking their pay for this job to see if that was the cause. This thought was then replaced by another. "Something special done to the side?" Zach repeated in his head. Were they making weed brownies? He had to admit, these people were a bit too kind for the possibility of drugs to be completely proposterous. However, he could tell this was genuine happiness, and nothing drug-induced, so the thought was merely his bored mind entertaining itself.

"I hope everything 'special' you plan on adding is legal," he said jokingly, a light laugh occuring just after. "I would also like to tell you that I am a fan of your work, sir. I might've teared up when my piece of cake from yesterday was gone," that actually might not have been a joke, as he took carrot cake seriously. His head instinctively turned towards the door as the little bell chimed, betraying someone's entrance into the establishment. She when she ordered a coffee, she seemed a bit too enthusiastic when she ordered. Tense, maybe? Something wrong? Well, he couldn't really know, but he could offer a smile, which was probably the best thing a stranger could do for someone else they didn't know.

"Hmm, if coffee is needed, then someone's not a morning person," he offered the same warm smile from before to her. Then, he paused, remembering something. "Oh yeah.... I would like the same as her, as well as a Dr.Pepper," he said, not breaking his streak. His streak happened to be how many times he could go to and order a Dr.Pepper, even if he had already ordered another drink and finish both. After the work out earlier, he was thirsty as a dog, even after drinking water.

So far, his streak was at 51

Theo shrugged, eyeing her smoothie, and sipped it slightly, her nose wrinkling slightly as she detected an odd flavor. A hint of something else. It did taste good though, so she kept drinking it slowly, savoring the taste.
She smiled slightly at the other cafe worker and nodded to the other girl who came in and said hello. And then ordered coffee, probably as a pickup. She did seem a bit grouchy. Theo hated coffee. It made her sleepy and she didn't need things making her sleepy. Narcolepsy was annoying enough as it is.
Speaking of which...she glanced at her phone as it buzzed and growled a little bit. Her mother had sent a reminder that she had an appointment at four to visit the doctor who was probably going to recommend yet another medicine which either wouldn't work or would give her an allergic reaction. A bad one. They'd been trying for three or four years to find something that she could take and nothing worked. Ever.
She stabbed the keys on her phone, telling her mom that she remembered and she'd be back in time. She would always be in a bad mood whenever anyone mentioned her narcolepsy.
She ended up accidentally slamming her phone down on the counter. She winced, looking at the people behind the counter and around her. "Sorry."

Sebastian

Honestesly, Sebastian hated waking up. Not because he was groggy, or didn't want to do anything with his day, but simply because his dreams where a place where he could control what he saw and heard, make it so it was only the good ones. Well, he would like to think he controlled them, though in reality, his mind probably made the choices itself.
His is awkward for him to think of his Mind and Personality as two separate parts of himself? Even though they were so closely linked? Maybe. Oh well.

Sebastian sat up on his bare mattress- his sheets were across the room again. He was often told by female friends that he slept adorably, though Sebastian didn't see how when he seemed to kick so much.
He got up and scratched his bare chest, wishing his light abs were a bit more defined, then shrugged it off. He was a photographer not an athlete. Sebastian yawned and kicked open his bedroom door, meandering through the living/kitchen/dining area. Already he was beginning to hear music from the familiar sights of his two room one bath apartment. He was able to push them to the back of his mind, being so familiar, but it was still annoying. Unless he closed his eyes, silence didn't exist to Sebastian. And even then there was the dull thrum that nothing ness brought on. He really hated his 'neurological condition' sometimes, though he was glad he could see some beauty no one else could.
Casting aside his morning life thoughts, Sebastian jumped into the shower, quickly scrubbing down before stepping out again in less than five minutes. He really didn't understand why it took girls so long.
He didn't bother drying his hair, just pulled on clothes, grabbed his messenger bag, slung his camera around his neck and set out.
______
The tall figure, nearly 6', paused, leaning against a post as he winced. He hated walking through town, especially when it was busier like this. It was such a mental strain. Every sight sent a mash of badly matched music in his ears, every honk and yell a splosh of ugly color to frame his vision. Synesthesia was so annoying sometimes.
He moved his shoulder bag and unzipped a compartment, pulling out soundproof headphones. They were meant for music, but Sebastian usually just tucked the plug into his pocket, preferring the silence so his vision was clear. The music from his sight still played, but at least now he could concentrate where he was going.
Not that he really had a plan today. He was on more of a wonder and take pictures mission. Though, he had skipped his morning Latte, so stopping at that little cafe would be a fun excursion. The french boy pushed off the post, tugged his headphones cord into his pocket and set of again with a new purpose for his morning.

A few minutes later, after stopping to take some pictures, Sebastian entered Slice 'o Heaven with a good nature smile. He pulled his head phones around his neck and glanced at all the people in the singles area. They all seemed nice enough, judging by their music, and soft voices from the building spurred pleasant colors on the edges of his vision.
His black hair stuck up everywhere, except some of his bangs that fell over his forehead. He was wearing his usual black v-neck, blue hoody, and skinny jeans. He took up his camera from where it hung around his neck and took a picture of the forms backs sitting at the counter. It'd be a quaint picture if he could edit it.

A girl suddenly slammed her phone on the counter in the 'Singles Area' causing a few people to jump, and she apologized. Better than sitting alone! Sebastian thought cheerfully, moving to the stool next to her.

"Bonjour!" He said happily to the girl and the Waiter. He wouldn't order until he was asked what he wanted, but already did know. Brown sugar caramel latte. Always. Every morning since he was 12. With blueberry drizzle if available. Best drink ever.
He moved his casual lopsided grin to the girl, noticing off-handedly she had an eye patch that spurred a tinge of electric around a lazy harp melody.

"Are you always that cruel to technology, or did it say something mean?" He joked casually, a bit awkward with his English, French lilt all to obvious.

Alex heard Arrow walk through happy as always. His name was fitting for the god of love hence his weapons being a bow which was kept in his room. “Will the regular batch do for today or do you want anything special done on the side?” Alex thought for a moment. "Regular for today but just incase make a few cakes with just a dash of Grá." he said then turned to Zachary. "Oh, hello....Alex? It's good to see you too, and... I'm sorry about yesterday. However, I have come to the conclusion that my wallet might double as a ninja. In any case, I made sure my wallet was with me today, so I will pay for yesterday's previous order." Alex smiled and shook his head. "No, no, no it's fine just pay for today's order and we'll be even." he then heard a girl walk in dressed in a nice dress. It was quite pretty in his opinion but she seemed stressed. “One coffee, black, really strong please.” Alex nodded then heard Zachary again. "Oh yeah.... I would like the same as her, as well as a Dr.Pepper." "Very well I'll be back with your drinks momentarily." he said then went in the back. He pulled out a glass and filled it with the strange drink. He didn't care for it but humans seemed to like it. He then poured black coffee into two mugs. He remebered the girl was feeling quite stressed so he decided to help. He opened up a vial from the cabinet and poured half in each. They still looked as black and would taste as so but they would feel elated beyond belief.

He emerged from the back and placed the drinks infront of the boy then put the other black coffee infront of the girl. "Drink up." he said then heard a crash which almost made him jump. The girl with the eyepatch slammed her phone onto the counter. "Sorry" came out of her mouth and Alex shook his head. "It is fine" he said then heard a boy enter. "Bonjour" he said then Alex nodded and began to speak. "Bonjour, mon ami ce que tu veux? " he said in fluent French. He spoke every language for his philosophy. "Love is an international language."

Aria Christiansen
~The Nerd~

Aria smiled as the owner set the cake before her "One Cacen Brecwast freshly made"
"Thank you" she said softly, and opened her book. It was only moments later that another man came through the doors and sat in the singles section. She could hear the music pounding in his ears and she identified the basic rhythm as Avenged Sevenfold though she didn't really know many of their songs. It was interesting to watch the man and the owner interact. 'So he's been here before' she thought, seemingly entranced by their conversation.

A petite girl came walking in a few minutes later and sat near Aria. "A strawberry smoothie please' she heard the girl say. Aria raised an eyebrow. "May I have what she's having as well? That looks delicious" she said very quietly, almost as though if she said it louder she'd break the beautiful ambiance. Her attention was pulled again by another, what she could only assume, staff member. "Good day and welcome!" Aria smirked at his obvious cheerfulness. 'What do they feed their employees...?' she thought.

Aria picked up her book again and started reading, getting lost in her book once more. She barely heard the next woman come in, something about a strong black coffee, but Aria wasn't paying attention. The only reason she looked up again was because the girl drinking the smoothie slammed her phone on the counter, but even that didn't distract her for long. She plunged back into the pages of her book. She didn't notice at all when the french man came in...at least not until Alex spoke in french. It was beautifully said. ' Je parle français aussi!' she thought, but she didn't dare say anything.

She was staring at Alex as she put her book down and knocked her smoothie over onto her cake and her book. "Crap" she said under her breath. She pulled off her zip up sweater and started wiping her book off. The smoothie was seeping into its pages and she mentally cursed at herself.

~The Nerd~

Aria smiled and blushed when the french man asked the owner to get her towels and quietly thanked him when he placed a few towels in front of her. She finished wiping down her book and the counter and handed them back to the man. "I'm sorry" she said softly. But the other employee caught her attention again, she couldn't stop herself from looking up at him. His golden hair intrigued her and she wanted to know how someone could be so happy all the time. Something about the cafe made her feel warm in general.

She decided that reading her book wasn't worth it, so she stuck it inside her backpack and looked around again. The owner seemed to be playing match maker with the beautiful woman who had entered and the man down the bar. Aria heard the bell on the door jingle again and she saw a man come in and sit in the couples section. He didn't look like he was all too thrilled about being there...or maybe it was whom he was meeting he wasn't too thrilled about.

Out of the corner of her eye she caught the worker's blonde hair again. 'What is it about him that i'm so drawn to?' she wondered. She knew she couldn't keep staring at him, if he turned to look at her the situation would become awkward and Aria certainly didn't want the attention.

Aria Christiansen
~The Nerd~

Aria blushed as Arrow smiled at her...well it seemed to be directed at her anyway. She smiled back softly but she was sure he didn't see it, he looked extremely focused.

Suddenly Thomas' girlfriend burst through the doors and looked around frantically. "OH THANK GOD" she said, seeing Aria's face. "I can hear movement in the apartment but your brother isn't answering the door. I have a strong feeling that something is wrong, PLEASE come with me" Aria's eyes widened. Thomas always left the door unlocked for Mia, always. They were the type of couple that got into fights but neither could stay mad at each other. 'He seemed fine this morning' she thought quickly.

Aria didn't wait for her bill she just slapped a 20 on the counter and said thank you quickly. "He didn't say anything either" she asked as she left with Mia. It only took a few minutes to get back to the apartment. Aria unlocked the door and ran in, throwing her keys and bag on the floor. "THOMAS?!" she yelled, even though the apartment was quite small. She heard the shower running and she knew something was wrong. 'He told me he was going to take a shower before I left this morning...that was 3 hours ago' she thought. The bathroom door was locked as well but Aria knew how to pick the lock. When she entered the bathroom she saw her brother lying on the floor unconscious with a small pool of blood by his head.

Aria rushed to his side and turned to see his shocked girlfriend standing in the doorway. "CALL AN AMBULANCE!" She turned the water off and threw a towel over her brother. 15 minutes later paramedics were pounding on the door and Mia let them in. Aria let Mia get in the ambulance with him, and Aria ran back up to the apartment to grab her keys. In minutes she was at the hospital as well, asking where her brother was. They directed her to trauma room and thats when she started crying. She saw the gash on his forehead and the large purplish bruise starting to form around it. The doctors pushed her and Mia out of the room and told them to wait and that they'd update them soon.

Corinne groaned as the sun shone on her face, the reason that had forced her awake. The groan was almost inaudible, and she had to blink several times before remembering why. She had slept as a rabbit again. She was lying on her side and she stretched, extending her short limbs as far as she could. Sighing, she sat up straight and hopped off the bed, landing on the floor with an oomph. A cloud of sparkles engulfed her and within a moment she was back in her humanoid form. The downside to her shape shifting was that she wore no clothing as a rabbit, and was just as naked when she transformed back. Well, not like anyone ever barged into her room. A yawn soon followed as she looked down at her digital clock. Her eyes watered up after the yawn, and she thought she was still dreaming when she saw the time. Immediately her eyes widened and she quickly threw on her uniform and a pair of clean socks. She quickly combed her long purple hair and headed out her room, slipping on her shoes on her way out. Corinne quietly entered the café section wondering where Arrow or Alex was.

She saw him walk into the back room, looking quite stressed. Or annoyed? She couldn't really tell. Because he seemed somewhat occupied, she went to the counter and took the red head's order. She smiled at the girl and replied, "Hi there, I'll do that for you. Boss is taking a short break." Quickly and efficiently she made the girl's order and slid them towards her. "Here you go. Enjoy! Boss should be back soon." After she finished she went towards the kitchen and sent a quick telepathic message to Alex.

Boss, sorry I woke up late! I'm just going to go ask Arrow if he needs anything from the market. Be back soon!"

She then turned back and tried to guess where the baker was. Oh please don't tell me Arrow's baking already... She quickly peeked inside the kitchen and to her dismay, he was. Corinne sighed. He took his baking so seriously. She remembered interrupting him before and intruding his kitchen. The situation ended with her frozen before him after he sent a knife flying in her direction. He missed. Thank god. He probably meant to throw his rolling pin, she had just caught him in the middle of slicing fruits or something like that back then. Now knowing better, she knocked on the door to the kitchen, waiting for him to either answer it or even just give some sort of signal that she was allowed within his sacred zone.

She sighed in relief seeing that Arrow was finally done baking. Seeing him walk out of the kitchen covered in many assortments of baking ingredients she started to chuckle. Reaching into her uniform pocket she pulled out a handkerchief and wiped off some splotches of batter that had somehow attached itself to his face. "Morning love," she greeted with a smile. "I kind of just woke up, so my day has not been very eventful so far," she said with a nervous laugh. "Oh yeah, did you need me to flash to the market? I think you mentioned yesterday we were running low on something." Corinne had a habit of calling people by a pet name, whether or not they were close to her. The only exception to this was the person she called 'Boss'. For him, the only name she ever called him was 'Boss'.

Also, normally she wouldn't teleport to the market because there was a chance of humans seeing her magically appear out of nowhere. However on some busy days she cuts time when she decides to use it, making sure she warped into a secluded place where people won't see her.

While she was waiting for Arrow to reply, the sound of a loud screech came from outside the café. Her head snapped towards the direction of the sound that was soon followed by a crash. Worried, she ran outside the café and inspected the scene. There was a boy lying in the middle of the road, obviously battered. Oh no... She rushed next to him and knelt beside him. "Hey!" she called out. "Can you hear me?!" She pulled out her cell phone and dialed the ambulance's number frantically. Dammit.... Mei. Where was Mei?

Mei! Can you hear me?! Someone's hurt outside!

Alex sighed as he watched the girl walk out of the room. "Very well then" he said calmly knowing this would inevitably be the case of what happened. She thought to much about it and when it came she thought it wasn't strong enough. He could sense her anger but there was still an ounce or two of love still in the bottom of her heart. He walked over and picked up BonBon who was crying on the floor. He then had an idea "Arrow keep her inside for as long as possible I have an idea." he said putting his pet back on the counter then dashing to his room. He had a plan but it was a long shot but it was his only hope for her to stop meddling in people's lives.

Sebastian

Sebastian, while everyone else had been rushing about the accident, had pulled out a sketch book and was doodling little comics of the eccentric people in the cafe. It wasn't that he didn't care about the boy who'd been hurt, it just seemed to be taken care of already. He glanced up an nearly made eye contact with a familiar eye.
Oh, so Theo's back..? He smiled a little, then it fell when he realized she might still be mad at him. He made eye contact with the Theo's blue haired friend and smiled, giving a little salute in hello before looking back down to his sketch book.

He wondered where his waitress had gotten too. She'd rushed outside to help deal with the accident. Luckily the boy who'd gotten hit was now fine, eating cake and talking to a pretty girl.
Sebastian refocused on his paper, actually bursting into a little bubble of laughter when he saw what'd he'd drawn. It was basically a chibi rendition of most of the people in the cafe, including a cross looking Theo, the workers and their treys of goodies, his waitress looking all, the large buff boy tripping into another girl- Basically a comic of everything that had taken place in the cafe that morning.

He found it rather amusing.

Miki Rin

After the crazy effort to get the driver out of the car, and a short question-answer session with a paramedic about the crash, the dancer was finally able to grab her dufflebag from where she'd thrown it and meander into the small cafe every else had flocked to. It was kind of crowded, but Miki didn't mind. Despite constantly thinking about dance, she was a social person. Speaking of dance, she began running her routine in her head again, shuffling over to the singles counter with half effort swaying. As rude as her next thought would seem, Miki didn't want to be stuck waiting for an order. She wanted to get to school early, run her dance once, and do all the homework she had put off because of dance class.

So, without a second thought, she meandered over the the door that obviously led to the kitchen, tapping the guy standing there on the shoulder just as a dark haired man sped by, demanding "Arrow keep her inside for as long as possible I have an idea."

Miki raised an eyebrow, forgetting about her rush to get cake and leave in curiosity. "Are you holding hostages in your kitchen or something?' She asked the guy named Arrow. She assumed he worked there.
She stood on her toes to peer over his shoulder trying to see through the kitchen doors little window.

Corinne smiled seeing the the girl was going to deliver the cake herself. After the girl walked off in Zach's direction, Corinne giggled quietly and silently clapped her hands in joy. She was genuinely happy for the two. They were cute together. A few moments followed where Corinne's eyes simply followed the girl and watched her and Zachary converse, but she soon realized that it wasn't right for her to do so. She knocked her skull with her knuckle. What are you doing you idiot. She thought to herself. Sighing, she walked away, not wanting to invade on the two's privacy.

The head waitress made her way back to the counter and stepped behind it. It looked like Alex had stepped out, and Arrow was busy taking care of the girl she had seen outside. Oh, that reminds me.... She hadn't thanked the girl for helping Zachary and the driver yet. When she was done talking to Arrow perhaps she would pull her aside and treat her to one of Arrow's cakes. Of course Corinne herself would be paying for the treat. Although she was a worker at the café she didn't believe in getting free good whenever she wanted to give away.

Pulling out a cloth from underneath the counter, she started to wipe down the area. She needed something to occupy herself with before she started staring into nothingness and embarrassing herself. As she was wiping down the counter, she looked over at a boy with a sketchpad. It looked like he was laughing about something he drew. Unable to contain her curiosity, she leaned over to take a peek. It brought a smile to her face. He had drawn some sort of cartoon version of the café. It was adorable. "Cuute~" She said quietly.

Miki Rin

Miki raised an eyebrow at the emplpyee's comment.
"No we don’t hold hostages at all much less in the kitchen. My kitchen is sacred why on earth would I do something so tainted in it like that?”

"Dunno, I suppose it could serve to make things more interesting?" She shrugged and he turned to vanish into the kitchen for a moment. Her eyebrows dropped annoyed. Her reason for rudely not waiting her own turn and bothering the man in the first place was to get cake more quickly not have to wait for him. Luckily he returned before she cold really get annoyed.

“Alright, I’m done. Sorry you had to wait. Now, how may I help you?” Miki blew out a sigh, letting her annoyance leave with it, and sat onto a a stool next to her, propping up her sneakers to retie them.

"I'd just like a little piece of cake please, Red Velvet if you have it," She glanced around at the lively cafe, eyebrows quirking once more at the 'singles' and 'couples' signs. Well, that was one way to avoid getting hit on.
"What the idea behind this place anyway? Playing matchmaker?" she kept the comment short, since he was probably about to be off and get her cake. Glorious, magical cake. Nothing better for breakfast with a morning of dance coming up. Bring on the calories!

Sebastian

"Cuute~"

In surprise, Sebastian jerked in shock, slamming his knee painfully into the bottom of the counter. He rubbed it with a little groan, looking up to see another female waitress who was wiping the counter and had paused to look at his drawing.
"You startled me bel ange!"

He voiced with a chuckle, always quick to compliment in his native language. Though Sebastian would shamelessly consider himself a flirt , expressing compliments in English was always much more nerve wracking. He liked to stick with French. It was the language of love after all, some girls seemed to like it.

He spun his sketch book so it was right side up in her view from behind the counter. "You like it?"
He studied his own picture again, now from upside down, mouth quirking up again. It was rather cute if he said so himself.

Sebastian spontaneously reached out and seamlessly ripped the page from his book. He pulled it back for a second, signing his name with a flourish in the corner before holding it out to her.
"Here, think of it as a momento of me joli, and personification of this lovely cafe." He tilted his head and glanced at her. All the waitresses he'd seen so far seemed to be extremely pretty. Maybe it was a job qualification.
This girl was tall and slim with exotic purple hair and clear violet eyes. She looked a bit older than him, though not by much, and her heels and height probably just added to that visual.
"I'm Sebastian, just so you know. Now can brag to your friends about the amazing artist who drew that for you, eh?" He winked and laughed, mentally making a note to make an effort to still his accent. His 'th' and 's' were sounding very much like prominent 'z''s at the moment.
