Midnight shook her head. "Yes...it was...but we don't know for sure whether or not these are a part of the assassins. ...Though, if we had a video camera, this would definitely have gotten a few of them in jail. That would be impossible to fake." She watched them going into the art store. "...But we definitely know that those guys in jail...if the police are working with them, they could easily say that it was a staged picture; that we had them standing there like that." Everything was just getting confusing now.

"If it turns out that the cops are working with them, then we really have no choice but to take it upon ourselves. It's scary, I know, but it may be the only way" Brianna said. "The next thing we can do is to run a wire through a window, then we can have voice recording evidence. It's the next best thing to a video camera."

Midnight sighed. "And how do we run the wire through a window unnoticed? Someone's bound to either see us setting the wire up, or see the wire itself," she pointed out.

"Well, not a literal wire, but rather a 'bug' or a wireless recorder device. How to get it through? Disguise it as something they'd never suspect, like a spider. Or embed it in a real bug or something. It'd have to be a dead one, though. Living ones fly or crawl away. June bugs are very common around this time of year, and they usually die right away. So a dead June bug in the windowsill would not be suspicious" Brianna explained quietly.

Midnight nodded. "Oh...a bug...yeah, a june bug would work just fine...but supposing any of them are like me? I can't stand dead bugs lying around. What if one of them throws it away, or out a window? Perhaps disguising it as something else would work better...something they aren't as likely to throw away...hmm..."

"Good point. Hmmm" Brianna thought. She held the tiny device in her hands, "What can we disguise it as?" She eyed the device, slowly scanning over its tiny exterior and taking in each little detail of it.

Midnight looked around, too. "...Well...it's tiny enough that, if we hid it in shadows, they might overlook it," she suggested. Then she sighed. "But then the problem is whether or not we'd be able to find a suitable place in the shadows close enough to catch the conversation..."
