Weapons: "That's funny, you assuming that I have any real weapons." He often has to rely on other people to help him out of physical situations, but he can think himself out of a box. Whenever he got himself into a jam he could always think his way out of almost everything. He is not without protection, he does have a dagger strapped on the inside of his leg. He only uses in emergencies only. He doesn't like hurting anything. The dagger is a single piece of steel with a leather stripe wrapped around the hilt.
Personality: Harold is a person who tends to keep to himself. He is generally a nice person, but he had trouble with bullies when he was a younger kid. So he has little patience for people who bully others. If he does like you, which there is a decent chance that he will, Harold will start making terrible jokes... Well puns mostly.
Even though Harold is a jokerster, he can have a serious attitude about him. If he is attempting to figure out a problem, then he will go all quiet and it would do well to serve you if you did the same. Usually his problem solving skills have saved his butt more times than he can count during his younger years.
Due to his life being picked on, he often holds deep hatreds for people for long periods of time. He doesn't like hating people so in order to avoid any conflict he often stays away from people. When he does hold a hatred, if the other person at least makes an attempt to apologize he will forgive them. He isn't religious but it is much easier to forgive than it is to hold a grudge for more than for a few days. It's time consuming and wasteful, he thinks there are more important things to be doing besides hating people; like reading or solving a difficult math equation.
During his spare time, he often figure out ways to solve problems more efficiently, and he likes to read a lot of horror stories. His favorite by far is Hannibal Rising.
History: Harold is an orphan. He bounced around from foster home to foster home. His caretakers always though he was a self absorbed child who was always locked inside his room doing things that kids at that age don't normally do. Every 6 months he was in a different home and a different school. He didn't make many friends, in fact the only true friends were his books. They never picked on him, they never lied to him, and they never stole from him. Due to his lanky stature, the fact that he was an orphan, and he was the new kid every six months made him an easy target all the way through middle school.
When he reached high school, the school councilor had him tested to see where he should be placed in what classes. When he got the results back he saw that Harold had aced the freshman test packet. So, he tested him again. This time he aced the sophomore test packet. The final time, he got a mediocre score on the junior packet. He did excel on the math portion of the packet however. It was decided that Harold was to skip two grades and start high school as a junior. This wasn't the greatest choice for Harold, he was instantly made a target and people made fun of him. He often opened his locker and found that somebody threw a stink bomb in there.
He graduated top of his class and effectively told his fellow class mates fuck you in his speech. There he went to college, he wasn't even trying as hard as he could be. He just allowed to be the middle of the class. He was sick of being of picked on. There he made his first true friend. They shared something in common. They both loved horror novels. They did have their differences. Harold though Stephen King is the Master of Horror, and his friend believed that Edgar Allen Poe is the Master.
What do they have to say about their situation?: Day XX Month XX Year 20XX, I have arrived here in this weird castle. Such a wonderful building, the architect was a genius. I can see the different ways of figuring out how some of the stone was set. Truly marvelous. Anyway, the people that have arrived with me are a strange bunch. Not that I'm not saying I'm strange either. I completed high school at 16, I'd say I'm pretty strange. Now, our host on the other hand might be the strangest one out of us all. I would love to inspect the library, it must of have thousands of books. I honestly can not wait for tomorrow.
Theme Song: Harder Better Faster Stronger by Daft Punk.
Anything Else?: Not that this player can think of honestly. I might add something later, I'm running on fumes here and I was lucky to get out this character sheet.
