Ice Maxi's Story

Patricia, or Ice as everyone called her, Maxi was secretly looking forward to school. Not that she let anyone else know. She always enjoyed anything that stimulated her mind and who knows, she might get new ideas for songs. Ice contributed to the lyrics and in fact, one of their latest hits had been co-written by her. She arrived to school on one of her Suzuki motorcycles. She always wore a helmet too as well as a black leather jacket. After parking, she looked around for any paparazzi and already saw several of them getting pictures of a few of her bandmates. She took their presence in with a grain of salt. It was a necessary evil they would have to do deal with the rest of their careers. She had already 'moved in' yesterday and decided to bunk with Rocket the other night. Because she rarely got the chance to ride her beloved motorcycle, she had decided to ride it, instead of riding the bus with Rocket. Taking her helmet off, her black and white hair came out. Ice was slowly coming out of her 'goth' stage for she didn't wear as much black clothes or dark make up as she use to. In fact, she was hardly wearing any make up at all. The only make up she had on was her dramatic eye shadow. Her skin was very pale to the point of being an albino. She could remember being called that as a child, but buried those thoughts quickly. Anything linked to her childhood was always buried deep within her. The only one who knew about her past was Rocket, whom Ice knew before joining the band. Like Rocket, Ice had been homeless at one point for she ran away from her last foster home one night. She took everything she had, including her beloved small keyboard she got from the one decent family she was with, and left in the middle of the night. She ran into Rocket one day and the two became friends somehow. Now here they were on top of the world and for once, Ice had a real family for once. However, she was terrified she would lose them one day, so she kept part of herself away from mostly everyone. It was how she earned her band name Ice. It seemed nothing could faze her.

After leaving her motorcycle, she walked up behind Roys to hear him ask where everyone was.

"I am right here Roys. I am sure the others will be here shortly." she said plainly.

She didn't bother to remove her dark sunglasses, which hid her piercing blue eyes.

"Rocket!" She hears some yell after her. THinking it was Paparazzi she just rolls her eyes and countines to walk. Not long after she gets ran into feeling that they did it on purpose. She watches as her hat goes to the ground she picks it up. "Watch where you're going,you little twit-Roy! Sorry to be such a bitch,it just you know how I am when people touch me or bump me or really even give me a high five." She saids as she looks up and smiles. She dusts of her hat and puts it back on the top of her red hair. "And no I haven't seen the other,Love. But by the way you ran in to me I could guess you saw the paparazzi aswell." She saids with a raised eyebrow.


A few seconds later she sees Ice,the band's keybaordist walk up beside Roy. She smiles seeing her closest and only friends together. She messes with her hair. "Hey Ice, how have you been?" She asks before taking off her glasses and letting them hang on her right jean pocket. "Have you seen the other guys on your way by any chance?" She asks before seeing Misha come up and hoping he doesn't trip on their stuff knowing he wasn't the most cordenated person on earth. "Hey,Misha. Well thanks alot guys. Thanks to you I had to fend off to members of Mending Hearts. I could have gotten jump or even worst killed." She saids being her drama queen self. She chuckles knowing they were probubly going to roll their eyes. She puts her bag aound her shoulder down and feels the sting of the star tattoo.

"Oh guys I got a new tattoo! And before you say anything yes I got another one knowing I have no more room on my arms." She comments looking at her tattoo filed arms seeing no way for her to get another one on either of them.

As if on cue, Ice did roll her eyes, but no one could tell because of her dark glasses. She knew Rocket long enough to know her friend had a flair for being melodramatic. None of the paparazzi knew how close the two were. One article even wrote they were bitter enemies, which was all bull in Ice's opinion. If they were so mean to each other than the band wouldn't have been formed in the first place. Still, Ice knew not to take it personally. She'd been threw hell and the razzi were nothing compared to her past.

When Rocket mentioned her new tattoo, Ice nodded. Ice had one tattoo on her back. People who saw it thought it represented the band because of the white rose. In fact it represented her mother, which only her bandmates knew. All knew her mother was gone, but no one except Rocket knew the whole truth.

"We should get going. Someone can text Jason to get his butt over here." she replied as she glanced around for their lead singer.

Meanwhile, Gabry finally found his dorm in the top floor of the Haile University. He went in the dorm and unpacked all his stuff. After an hour of moving stuff around and being settled, he gets out his guitar and starts strumming for 5 minutes. Soon after, he starts remixing "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen and for 4 hours, he finished making the arrangement of his original remix of the song and posted it on Soundcloud and YouTube. "Now that my remix is done, I'd better go meet my fellow band members" Gabry thought and then he runs off to meet his fellow band members. However, Gabry didn't see where he is going and he bumps into Patricia Maxi and the rest of the "Broken Roses" band members.

"Hey do you mind watch where you're going. You just bumped into my friend." She saids as she makes sure Ice is ok. "You alright Ice?" She asks in a worry way. She lays her guitars down and relaxes her shoulders. "So,where are you off to in such a hurry,anyway speed demon?"She asks looking back at Gabry. She sees her bandmate looking at Gabry. "Don't jump him, please." She mouths to Roy and Misha seeing that Gabry wasn't looking at her.

Gabry didn't say anything and gives Rocket Star a menacing stare, the kind of stare that says "None of your Business", and he looks back at Ice and slightly smiled at her. "Sorry about that" Gabry said as he popped his knuckles and clenches his fist. He then turns and walks away to meet his band members. Before he did so, he turned to Roy and Misha "Hey, if you want a fight, you got one" Gabry said and then he walked away nonchalantly with fist still clenched

Misha watched the exchange in amusement, he tilts his head this slight scuffle just showed how well two bands worked together. He rolled his eyes behind his mask, why would he fight someone he didn't know and only bumped into Ice, but said sorry. The whole interaction was reminded him a lot like when an animal trespassed into a pack's territory, but was strong-willed enough to pretend to be strong in an attempt to scare away the others.

He shook his head and turned away from the man, Misha thought about his wonderful summer mostly spent doing all the chores and hanging our with Mel. He felt a pang of loneliness, missing his sister. He adjusted his gloves, slightly uncomfortable at how quiet everyone had gotten. "So....My summer was spent doing chores, what about you guys?" he asked, his voice coming out dreadfully awkwardly. He winced slightly at how awkward he was sounding and moved from where he was standing.

Of course when he moved, Misha fell. Over what you make ask yourself? Air. He ended up sprawled on his back, staring at the sky in annoyance. Gravity had it out to get him, he just knew it. Or maybe fae like playing games with his already shitty balance. Either one was very likely in his mind. Misha laid on the ground, not really wanting to move, already feeling the newest bruises starting to develop to accompany his other bruises.

Unlike a few of her bandmates, especially poor Misha, Ice was not a clumsy person. So when someone bumped into her, it surprised her more as she found herself on the ground looking at someone. The action cause her sunglasses to fall off and her eyes held a little emotion in them for once as she looked at the tall guy with a little surprise. She remembered Rocket speaking up and asking her if she was okay. Ice recovered quickly and soon any emotion in her eyes was gone as she picked up her sunglasses, got up, and dusted herself off. Turning to Rocket, she finally answered her question.

"I am fine Rocket. Well if you guys want to wait for J that's fine, but I am tired of standing here in the open." she said before taking her stuff and heading for their dorm.

She couldn't quite get her mind off that guy that bumped into her though.

((Silly question, are the dorms co-ed and are the band members near each other?))

((That car crash took another couple years off me because I was in a head-on collision with a semi 6 years ago. Miracle I had no injuries. Nice song though and killer video hehe.))

Ice made it to her dorm and collapsed on her bed. Her own dorm was already decorated and set up. Her beloved keyboard was there too. She didn't feel like talking with the band this time around. Her summer had been an experience for she had decided to take a vacation in Scandinavia traveling all over Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Sweden. She actually 'roughed' it out mostly and enjoyed every minute of it. She couldn't quite evade the paparazzi there, but she mostly took the trip because her mother once dreamed of going there because she knew she had Scandinavian ancestry. It was that heritage that gave her the blue eyes, natural blonde hair, and pale skin. Feeling restless suddenly, Ice got up and started to fiddle with her keyboard, playing random music that sounded serene.

Ice always got lost in her music so she had lost track of time. By the time she finished playing on her keyboard, several hours had past. Today was one of those rare days she had very little to do. It was still light outside, so the keyboardist decided to spend some time outside. Besides, she wanted to explore the campus a little to familiarize herself with the place. Ice never went into a new situation or place without knowing where things were, just in case something happened. When avoiding the paparazzi, her band quickly learned a place's shortcuts to get to a destination quickly. It worked sometimes, but not always. So putting on her sunglasses, to grabbed the keys to her dorm and locked it. She was lucky to have gotten a private room. She needed privacy and she was highly territorial of her things.

Walking outside, the young musician stretched a bit and looked around, trying to decide where to head first.

Gabriele was sitting outside of his dorm and was looking at the mostly positive feedback from his remixes. He thought to himself "If I can keep up the positive feedback, then I'll or rather the band I've recently joined will be famous." However, for now, he saw the woman that he bumped into while finding his new band members. Gabry couldn't tell what color are her eyes and he pretended not to notice her by listening to his music on his headphones.

Ice was looking around when she noticed the guy that bumped into her from earlier. She took her time to look him over this time. Remembering his words from earlier, she didn't doubt he could beat up someone. People often underestimated her because of her small stature. She only stood at 5'2" and had a petite frame. However, one thing she had vowed to herself was that she would never be a victim like her mother had been. Living on the streets, she met some unsavory characters and quickly learned how to defend herself. When her band became famous, she learned even more fighting techniques. Ice was lost in her thoughts when her phone started beeping, indicating she had a text message. She pulled it out of her pocket and flipped it open to see it was Rocket. Grinning a bit she texted back.

Outside the dorm. I'll be waiting.

She always kept it short and sweet. Why waste words that weren't needed? She couldn't help but look at the lone guy one more time.

She hears Ice ringtone which is Stronger by Kelly Clarkson. She texts back after a seconds of reading the message.

Alrighty be there in a jiffy. I'm inside the dorms so I should see you any second. Love and Rockets, Rocket. :)

She sends the text as she goes down the last flight of stairs almost losing her balence and almodt tripping. Luckly she catches herself at the last minute. She walks out the door as the sun hits her olive colored skin. She puts her sunglesses on and sees Ice. She smiles and walks to her. "Hey love, So I didn't get to ask you about your-" She saids before seeing Gabry. She shakes her head and looks back to Ice. "Do you want to check out that coffee slash bookstore they have on campus?" She asks as she remembers she left her hat inside. She exhales noting to learn how not to be so forgetful this year.

She looks around not seeing any paparazzi, for some reason they made it seem that they hated each other. One article was called. USA vs. England Part 2.. They always were pretty close seeing it was two girls and three boys in their band They always had each others back.

Gabry slightly smiled at Ice but only to himself, he saw the text from Eloise on his phone saying:

"Gabriele, where are you? Turtle is freaking out right now"

and Gabry replied to the text:

"I didn't mean to freak someone out but I'll be right there, Dammi un secondo*"

Since Gabry was Italian, he spoke the language fluently and he got up while he stretched as he dusted himself off. But as Gabry walked away from Ice and Rocket, he dropped something precious to him, an abstract pendant that his mom gave him on his 15th birthday and his debut album named (D.E.B.U.T)* which had 10 of his remixes of pop songs and rock songs. He turned his back on Ice and Rocket knowing that he and Ice will cross paths next time. However, Gabry will also have to keep an eye on Rocket since she somewhat called him out. Anyway, Gabry walked up a flight of stairs and saw Destiny who has calmed down now, Lucia and Eloise. He didn't say anything and now bears a "usual" serious yet quiet look.

"Ok,Let's get going." She saids as she notices something on the ground. "Hmm,what's that?" She asks as she kneels down and picks up the cd and pendant. "Hm? Here Ice you should keep ahold of the pendant. We're bound to see him again." She saids as she hands Ice the pendant knowing exactly who they belonged to but not wanting to go all the way back up there. She puts the cd in her bag and gets up dusting off her new jeans.


She starts tp walk and can't wait to vent about her summer. "So,I'll start. All summer I stayed in this nice music studio to sleep and to stay in I wrote one song per a day. Man,that was harded than taking the SATS." She saids as she slows down and waits for Ice to catch up.

After 2 Hours of listening to a bunch of songs, he listed down the songs he was going to remix for his 3rd album. Gabry put the list of songs in his pocket but after he put his list in his pocket, he wanted to put his pendant on but there wasn't anything in his pocket. Also, his debut CD was missing and after a long search near the vicinity of his area for his missing items, Gabry said in Italian "oh cazzo, dove diavolo è il mio CD e pendente"* and he said to Eloise, Turtle and Lucia, "I'm sorry to cut the first-time meeting short, but I gotta find my CD and pendant". Soon, he ran off to find the CD and pendant and after going down 2 flights of stairs, he saw Ice and Rocket walking together.

Ice merely looked at the pendent and CD before putting in one of her pockets for safekeeping. It seemed pretty important and Ice sighed. She had something precious of hers and always made sure she never lost it. It was a simple necklace around her neck with a single pearl on it. It had been her mother's and she always wore it. As she and Rocket started walking, she listened to her friend talk and couldn't help but crack a grin. If anyone could write a song a day, it was Rocket. She was very passionate and dedicated to music, a trait Ice admired and shared with her. Music had been Ice's lifeline and kept her sane. Ice believed her about the SAT test all of their band members had to take. Ice ended up with the highest score and nearly aced it. Of course their agent couldn't believe it at first until she saw the results herself. Already Ice was getting invitations to be on several Honor groups, which she was still on the fence. Also for the first time, the "Ice Queen of rock" melted a little as she recalled her summer.

"I spent the summer traveling throughout Scandinavia. Plenty of inspiration there. The people in the rural areas were genuine folk too, not like any of the fake bi- here in the States you find a lot." she commented.

"Hey guys, wait up" Gabry shouted to Ice and Rocket. "I don't mean to interrupt but I've lost something precious to me and I believe you have it" Gabry said to Ice as he turned to her. Gabry then looked at Rocket, he could tell she was British not by the accent, but by the way she looks, her tattoos gave a punk rock feel to it in which Gabry knows that punk rock has influenced a lot of rock bands in England and around the world. "So, you're from England?" Gabry deduced to Rocket.

She looks in her bag and grabs the cd. "So, you're from England?" She hears Gabry ask her. "Yea,I moved her with my mum a couple years back. What gave it away?" She asks as she hands him the disc. "Here you are,all unlistened to and untouched by any american or british lady..as far as I know ." She saids as she smiles trying to make a better impression than she did before. "Look i'm sorry I was so...what's the word. Snobby to you before it just she's my best friend." She comments with a shrug. She bits her lip out of awkwardness. "So,where are you from? Because you're certainly not a Yank." She asks with a raised eyebrow.

"Scuse Accettate*" Gabry said to Rocket and he got the disc back putting it in a CD cover. "I understand that you stood up for her and all, but a best friend, now that's something I don't have" Gabry said in a serious monotone. "But, anyway, I was born in Torino, Italy but I was raised in Los Angeles, California" Gabry said to Rocket. "I guessed you're British cause of the tats, it has a punk rock feel to it" Gabry added to Rocket. He smiled at Rocket and tells her "How bout we start again, I'm Gabriele, call me Gabry for short and your name is...?"
