Owner and CEO of the Heaven's Break Frame production and Mercenary Corporation, he is the Captain of the flagship "Legacy" and a former Frame pilot from the Peace Keeping Forces. His current allegence is unknown...
He is a business man and Mercenary who has a hardened persona when on the bridge of his ship, or in the offices of his Mercenary and Frame Production Company. That however is only one of his many sides that he has. His other side is the Father who has lost his family, but has filled that void with his new family, his handpicked crew and pilots of "Legacy". In this as a man of understanding and compassion, and as his enemies and friends discover, he is also a man of great vengeance against those who hurt his new family and especially against the man who harmed his original family. Don’t cross that line less you are prepared for him to bring his vast fortune and experience against you without hesitation and without mercy.
His personal equipment:
.45 caliber Revolver that he wears on the small of his back, 8 shots in the wheel and two hidden rounds that can be used in emergencies if he can't reload. (This is a gift from his former wife, and no one touches it but him, he is often found in his cabin cleaning it meticulously)
His cane he carries his short sword that also acts as a key too many of the functions of his ship. He can even control the whole vessel from a holographic terminal that the cane can project before him (though he trusts his crew and has only once used this system, it's glitchy as hell)
His uniform is one of his biggest secret weapons. It contains a neuro-link system that was developed as a predecessor (the suits was in competition for the contract to build the next generation of Frames, but lost the contract in the final days of test. It was said to be impossible to control) to the psycho system but was found to be extremely expensive and inefficient when compared to the psycho system never used. However, he kept the technology and wired it into his pilot suit to help him in his days as "the Seraphim". This is now in his uniform, which has the added feature of being able to morph and tighten into a flight suit that needs only the addition of a helmet and personal respiratory system. The neuro-link itself is just a term for a system of pressure plates placed about the upper body of the suit that controls the motor function of the upper portion of the Frame, while the lower functions are controlled by the usual pedal and pressure system.
Items at his disposal:
The "Legacy" is a Legacy class (first of its kind, though it has been rebuilt) Space carrier, that is armed with a large hanger bay and space for 8 mechs, and a secret 9th stored in what is labeled the secondary reactor room. The ship has a large missile system, but only four beam cannons (mainly used or anti asteroid operations). Its main 12 guns are projectile weapons that were designed for in atmosphere operations and thought they can be used for space combat, the ship usually relies on its Frame squad for space combat. The ship has a stealth system that while it makes it all but undetectable by radar and beam locating while the paint job (Black with scattered white lights) helps it blend in to the blackness of space, clearly visible if it has an object behind it however. Essentially the ship is out of date when it comes to space combat, but thanks to their first destination of the Mars colony, it may be getting some much needed upgrades. (Will evolve in game)
The "Archangel": this is his frame; it’s an 8th generation from the peace keeping force that the federation used to put down small insurrections after it formed. The Coalition is the latest in a long line of old dissenters, but clearly the largest and most powerful. The federation government used Mercenaries and such to put down these small rebellions so as to save face in the media and life kept going. It is not as advanced or responsive as the new 9th and 10th generation psycho frames. The unit is a bit out of date, but its melee combat is still on par with the new units, and its wing system gives it a mobility advantage in space. The unit uses a halberd for its main weapon, and has a small 3 barreled Gatling-like cannon that fires 5' shells in quick succession. The wings are flanked by a missile system that uses a large number of scatter and various other missiles to distract enemy mechs while the unit gets in close to use its melee prowess against them. The wings use experimental (though now it’s a bit old, and it never really caught on) propulsion called ER plating, which glows blue and produces thrust from reflecting electrons from the wings surface causing massive thrust for energy used (a major component in its melee skills). Its main firepower comes from the targeting beam that is fired from the tip of the halberd. This beam allows the unit to use its primary offensive weapon; the "Legacy's" full armament. This beam lets the ships guns lock on to the point targeted by the unit. (The captain doesn’t use this normally however as it makes his crew a target, something he avoids unless he knows they won’t be in danger)
Note: later the unit will be equipped with various weapons of melee use, such as swords and daggers.
These are the later weapons. A sword that uses a plasma membrane to cut through armor plating, it’s a simple longsword design and it slung along the back of the mechs waist. The other weapon in a system of four SLASH's (Slash stands for Singular Launch Attack Shrunken Harness, essentially the Slashurikken from Code Geass.) the Slash units replace the missile packs at various moments, the sword is also detachable equipment he may use when specified.
His history is no mystery while at the same time it is completely unknown. While one side is his public face, the genius architect and designer who developed the strands that now grace the Suez Space Elevator and the man who orchestrated the newest mining facilities on Jupiter he is known as a neutral man who is quoted in saying, "This war is between governments, not companies, I see no reason to get involved unless there is profit to share with my employees." His Heaven's Break Company is used by both sides to build several varying internals of the frames and his mercenary unit was previously employed by the Federation at the start of the war. That unit was wiped out in an instant on the front lines, and though not many know it they were basically used by the feds to assess the enemies’ psycho units and as bait. This is what has led him to secretly face off against the Federation under the guise of a deserter that captured the "Legacy" and now uses it as a mercenary unit for the Jupitris forces. However fallowing a brief battle near Jupiter they have now vanished and have not been seen on the battle field for some time. His secret past is that of the legendary pilot "Seraphim" from the Peace Keeping Force. He was the pilot of the neuro-link 8th generation frame "Archangel" that fought in many battle fifteen years back. This side of him (the "Seraphim") is presumed dead after the "Archangel" fell before the first squadron of Psycho frames at the start of the war. This was also where his mercenary squad, "the Magi" was wiped out. Since that betrayal he has networked with the Federation, though his company has kept supplying them and the Jupitris. Finally, he doesn’t work with the confederates because of who the leader is. The man who is a dictator is suspected by Michael to be the same man who ordered him and his family killed in an attempt to seize the mining rights to his mine on Mars. This attempt took the life of his wife and two children (a daughter and son, either of which someone is welcome to play as at a later point if they so choose) and left his distraught and with a severe leg injury that while it healed mostly, can still be influenced by memories of that day. He is wealthy and can be found making deals and acting as his companies CEO at various times, but his true life is as a pirate on his ship while waiting for his chance to rebuilt his fallen squad and take down the men who have crossed the line. He rarely pilots now, his old Frame hidden in a secret hangar in the vessel and is most likely going to stay there for some time. However, if forced, he will launch and reaffirm the legend of the “Seraphim of Battle” in the minds of those who threaten the crew he considers his new family.
