They had reached the end of the hallway and next to a staircase when Kein'Vei couldn't keep quiet. Turning to look at the girl, he stammered slightly with embarrassment "Look, if you want you can go... get changed." He looked away, cheeks flushed red "I'll meet you back here." He finished, looking back. He didn't look her in the eyes, instead he looked at nose, chin and hair, changing subject at random intervals. The dimension jumper waited for her response expectantly, with a smile, even if she didn't like him he would try and be nice in return.

She asked herself this question as she re-dressed in the incredibly small bathroom stall. Her elbows banged against the sides and her knees knocked against the toilet, her nose flaring at the notion of actually walking through the halls looking like such a mess. Jiji, you better be in my room after ballet, Elina wished furiously as she shoved the stall door open and clutched at the counter, glaring at herself in the mirror.
Her cheeks were an unattractive shade of red, and her hair was everywhere. Suddenly, Elina noticed her opal pendant was hanging out of her shirt, the flecks in the opal catching the sunlight. How beautiful, she thought as she ran her thumb along the smooth surface, entranced. And as if her mind and hands weren’t her own, Elina quickly shrugged the necklace off of her neck.
At first, nothing happened. A wave of relief crashed through Elina, then annoyance. The necklace doesn’t even- Elina’s train of thought was interrupted by the sudden shadows crawling up the bathroom walls. Just shadows, she reminded herself before looking down at the sink. The counter was full of writhing snakes, blood, and a grinning woman’s head in the middle of the counter.
Elina didn’t realize she was screaming and crying hysterically until she was crouched on the tile, her arms wrapped around her knees, hiding her face from all the blood dripping slowly from the counter. “Elina, my Elina, don’t be afraid of these illusions,” a man cooed. Elina paused for a minute, glancing through her tears to see an attractive, golden haired man stalking towards her, grinning like the head on the counter.
His footsteps were interrupted by a cat’s yowling and hissing. Jiji had slid through the door and was now attacking his feet. Elina’s heart thudded as she realized it as her chance to put her necklace back on. “Elina, dear, please listen.” The man’s voice and the blood dripping stopped as soon as the pendant was back on her neck. Elina stared at the floor, trying to erase the images running through her head like a never stopping film, Jiji settling himself next to her. “What just happened?” she whispered to herself, numb with shock and horror.

Kein'Vei watched the cat go with a shrug before switching dimension once again, it was by far the quickest way to get around and he didn't want to keep Elina waiting. It only took moments to return to the foot of the staircase, the change out of the dead silence into the resounding ambience of Earth was more of a shock in that trip, for adding to the background a screaming filled the hall. Without thinking Kein ran down the hallway, finding the source of the screaming as a girls restroom. The door was already slightly ajar and the Dimension Jumper thought he could see a flash of white tail disappearing through the crack. He ignored this as instead of screaming, which had stopped slightly beforehand, there appeared a more catlike yowling, confirming the presence of a cat. Then there was silence, the lack of noise made Kein'Vei pause for a moment before recovering himself. He knocked lightly on the door, looking down the hall, "Elina, are you in there? Are you alright?" He looked down the hall as he asked this, checking that this was the direction she had gone and so it made sense that Elina was the one in there. His voice and face was filled with worry as he waited anxiously for a reply.

"We're here miss." The driver said as the cab jutted to a stop. "Okay, thank you." She said, paying him and getting out. Going the back of the taxi she pulled her large suit case out of it. Putting her backpack onto her shoulder and pulled out the handle on her luggage. Rolling it over to the front of the school, 'Wow.' She thought, It looks so magickal.'
Walking down the hall she found her dorm. Taking a deep breathe she unlocked the door. 'Oh thank God, I've got a room to myself.' She thought, closing and locking the door back. Her room was a modern, the bed was large. She loved the modern look, it's beautiful. Unpacking, she put everything where it needed to be.

The world tilted again and Elina’s stomach cramped as she stumbled through the door, placing one hand on the wall for support. No ballet or school for me today, I guess.
“On second thought, maybe I should go to the nurse,” she said softly, a smirk pulling at her mouth as she wiped her forehead absently, panicking at the sheen of sweat that coated her hand. Elina definitely didn’t remember sweating like a pig before. Now iIt felt as if the air was trying to suffocate her, and suddenly all Elina could see was snakes, blood, darkness. She’d never fainted before, but she certainly did not plan on doing it again.

"You don't look fine," He said, examining the sweat on her forehead and its paler hue. She smirked as she responded, and the small movement of her facial muscles comforted Kein who relaxed and his grim, worried face, breaking out into a much needed smile. There was concern still in his eyes as he looked at her, nodding.
"Come on, I'll take you there. You don't look like you can walk in a straight line." He chuckled, grin dominant on his face. Still holding her arm, with his books tucked under his other limb, he began to make his way towards the infirmary. He noted the white cat tracing its way around their feet, "I guess you found Jiji then" he stated, "I saw him disappear into the garden this morning, when you were calling for him." He looked expectantly to Elina, he didn't want to have a one sided conversation.

Elina wasn’t feeling much better by the time they reached the infirmary, but she fortunately didn't feel much worse. Suddenly she became more aware of the boy’s hand on her arm, the fact that she should go but some part of her didn’t want to. What is wrong with me? I don’t even know his name, she thought furiously, staring at him without realizing it.
She reminded herself of manners and stuttered,“So, um, thank you-“ Elina’s words died immediately as she mentally slapped herself on the forehead for not remembering his name. She smiled awkwardly, clearing her throat again. “I’m sorry… I don’t really remember your name. I know I should, but everything’s just been distracting, I guess...” She trailed off, at a loss for words and mentally slapping herself over and over for the situation she'd unwittingly put herself in.

He released her arm, realising that he had stayed attempting to support after they already arrived in the infirmary. 'Damn' He thought 'I'm only making it worse for myself.' He tried not to let anything show as turned back to look at her again. For a moment it looked like she was staring at him and his began to race, but he calmed it. Convincing himself that it was only his imagination. Kein'Vei smiled at Elina, finding her cute as she stammered "Don't worry about it. I guess you pay as little attention as I do in class." he laughed "I didn't know who you were until you were asked to come with me. I'm Kein'Vei, its a bit of an odd name but this is a bit of an odd place." He shifted the books under his arm into a more comfortable position. He looked down at the white fluffball that had been following the pair, slightly distracted "What are you going to do with him? I'm not sure they will allow him to follow you all day." He grinned, looking back up at Elina and regretting it as her face took over his mind again.

As before she was very careful not to get caught being out of her room and slowly made her way down into the Day Dorms. The dorms were empty with classes still going on and quickly making her way to floor 4 she stopped in front of room 26. Kein's room. She reached into her pocket and prout out a small kit in which she removed a bobby pin and a small nail. Carefully she picked the doors lock and with a satisfying click the door opened. His room was quite nice, artfully designed like her own but she slowly walked around. Finally she crawled into his bed and throwing the covers over her completely as too make it darker she drifted back off to sleep, feeling much more secure about herself.

Jiji stood up and stretched as if he had read Elina's thoughts, letting out a soft meow. Elina picked him up with one arm, relived to have him safe and in her arms. "It was really nice of you to help me when you didn't have to, so thanks. I probably wouldn't have found Jiji either. I guess I'll see you around,” she said brightly, trying not to blatantly stare at him as a faint blush spread across her cheeks.

Zahina finally entered the large library and looked around. There were floor to ceiling shelves filled with books as far as the eye could see. She smiled slightly and walked around, looking for the correct section. "No..no.." she whispered to herself. Suddenly she stopped and turned down an aisle. 'Aha!" she whispered excitedly. "The Historical Cultures section!" She ran her fingers along the shelf, looking and studying each book title. Most of the ones she found she had already read. She grabbed a few of those just in case she had missed anything. She also grabbed some books on similar cultures and checked them out at the front desk, then headed outside to read. She sat down under a large, shady oak tree and opened a book and began to read, her eye darting back and forth on the pages.
