History:
Alusan inherited the Throne of Ice as king of the Balt race at a young age. His father was the last king of the Balt to walk with the Giants, an honor that earned him the title of Giant-King and Alusan, the title of Giant-Son. However, Alusan's father was felled beside many of his army during a skirmish with the Dravasha when Alusan was 18, leaving him with the kingdom's weight to bear, the burden of which is known as the Throne of Ice.
Never one to shy from a fight that has anywhere over half a chance of success, Alusan has been called arrogant, prideful, reckless, and a miracle worker on the field of battle, but refuses to let his battle lust rule him when he is needed by his people. A strong, but fair ruler, Alusan will always do what he feels is best for his people, even if they don't want it right away.
Alusan's battle lust, however, got him captured in a more recent skirmish a few weeks before the story of The Tor began. He was locked in a cell, in a dark corner of Lorcliff, his axe and only chance, sitting just out of reach. This is where Alusan's story begins.
Oddities:
Obviously, Alusan bears his tattoo of Balt heritage. Otherwise he bears the expected scars a warrior-king would be expected to have, and the fresher ones that have become more evident due to his imprisonment and torture.
