Jules isn’t like most girls. She’s blunt, speaking without thinking first, and most of the time, her sarcasm is her strong point. She often has a bit of a problem paying attention, so, if you’re talking to her, speak fast or you’ll lose her to the next interesting thing that catches her eye. It would most likely be something shiny. Everyone loves shiny things. Jules is smart, really. She doesn't just] use big words to sound intelligent, she actually knows what they mean. Jules is the type of girl who cannot stand an awkward silence. She's the girl who's sometimes shy, but other times, can be a loose canon just waiting to go off. She's got a spunky attitude, but luckily, she knows when to dial it down. She's definitely a fighter and her bite is...hopefully worse than her bark. Jules is one of those people who hates being caged or tied down. If she feels like she's trapped she might have a panic attack, who knows. When angered, she's always quick to insult and not listen to what people say, which also goes that she's extremely stubborn. On another note, she can often come off as a bit of a flirt. Maybe it's just something that stems from her energetic, sarcastic composure, or maybe its something entirely different.
Similarites to Their Godly Parent: She's competitive beyond belief, and sometimes she might be a bit...well, to put it bluntly, crazy. She can sometimes seem a bit full of herself. It's not that she means to, it just comes off that way.
History
First Memory: Jules' first memory is of some golden light and a lot of warmth. She's never been exactly sure what the light was, but it's always been there. Whenever she feels like there is no hope left in the world, she closes her eyes and imagine's that light. It surrounds her in her mind and it gives her the strength to push on. Sometimes it's all that keeps her going.
Relationship with Mortal Parent: Jules never had a perfect relationship with her mom. The woman was always working or away on a business trip. Growing up, Juliette was always desperate for her attention, so that led her to start acting out and getting into trouble. Needless to say the attention she got wasn't the kind she wanted. So, she tried to turn her act around, but sometimes she felt like her mother was still a bit stiff to her.
Jules' life has been a bit of a whirlwind. Her mother was always working, so she was never at home. She always felt like her mother didn't care. It was pretty easy to see why. Her mother never did all those things most mothers do for their daughters. She never read her a bedtime story, tucked her in or kissed her good night. Jules doesn't even remember her mother ever telling her she loved her. Maybe that's why she has a hard time talking about her feelings. Her mother was never there, and even when she was, she wasn't there for Juliette. She tried to get her attention. When doing better than others didn't do anything, she started acting out. Yes, her mother noticed, but it wasn't the kind of attention she wanted.
To fill the whole her mother had unintentionally cut into her, Jules buried herself in her passions. She was learning to play the guitar at six, and was able to play advanced compositions on the piano at 10. Jules found friends, and they helped her, but still, she always had a hard time really opening up to people, though it never seemed like it to them. She never knew who her father was. She just always thought he'd left because he didn't want her. Not exactly a confidence boost.
As Jules grew up, her talents stretched. At 13, she won the school talent show for her singing. At 14, a year before she came to Olympus, she played Eponine in Les Miserables, which was the play the high school she'd been going to had chosen to put on that year. She'd been able to get the part because she'd done so well at the audititons, and she was pretty tall for her age, so it was easy to make her look the part.
Then, before the year had ended, when Jules turned 15, her mother sat her down. This was when she told Juliette about her father. At first, Jules didnt believe her. It was pretty outrageous. But then, slowly, everything began to sink in. Her mother took her out of school, and dropped her off at Olympus. To this day, Jules still feels like her mother did it to get rid of her.
Once she started at Olympus, Jules' whole life changed. She made new friends, and started really getting into her music. She opened up more, like a flower finally starting to bloom, though, if you call her a flower she'll probably hit you with a frying pan. Olympus isnt just her school. It's her home, and the people there, are her family. And she wouldn't have it any other way.
