Henri didn't even wait for an answer to the question before he walked over to Eight. "Just go up to your room, and stay there for the night," he said. "You are deffinately not going with Nine. I'm sure someone else can help her out, but you've done enough for the night. Nine, you can go to the store, but then come straight back." He paused and then sat back down at his desk. "And take someone, other than Eight, with you."

She could feel Vincent somewhere before her his emotions full of anger, betrayal and what she thought might be self loathing. She walked out onto the porch and found him pressed against the wall fists clenched. She tried to sense if there was anything she could do, it seemed he was fighting with himself the blankness of his stare made her think he might be reliving some old nightmare-ish memory. Deciding to leave him be for the moment she joined him on the wall, pressing her back against it and sliding down to sit next to him. She settled her jacket and katana on her lap and took a deep breath, letting it out slowly.
"Thank you for telling the truth" she said softly, a few moments later.

Sliding down the wall, Eight sat down next to Nine. He smiled at her, and decided to ask her a question. They had a few minutes before they'd be interrupted by some other person, so he thought talking for as long as they could was a good idea. "..What name did you pick again? I'm terrible with names.. fact that no one ever talks to me doesn't help."

"Henri Won't kick you out, he understands that we all have our own personalities but he also can see that we are too important to be off on our own," she said, trying to pick her words carefully.
A few moments passed and Vincent slid down the wall to sit next to her.
His next question caught her a bit off guard she wasn't quite expecting the shift in the conversation.
"I'm Kayla, Kayla Nightlocke" said Nine her expression relaxed, masking the turmoil she felt inside.
Kayla shot Vincent a lopsided smile "I'm talking to you... does that make me no one?".
She could feel him calming beside her, the tension slowly leaving his fists, She wasn't using her Sensior ability but it seemed almost to have a placebo affect. Maybe because he thought she was helping him calm down he was able to faster...
Kayla looked into Vincent's face trying to gauge where he was emotionally, she wanted to ask him, why he had done it, why had he gone into that gas station and killed those two people. She couldn't understand his motivation and it bugged her, scratching at the inside of her brain driving her crazy with curiosity.
Taking the risk of bringing the conversation back to the previous topic, she sucked in a breath and asked "Why did you kill those people?..... Was it really just to spite Henri?... I want to understand..." her grey hazel eyes searching his.
Her heart was beating loudly in her chest and she knew, deep in her bones that this question could make or break their relationship, she didn't want to push him away but something equally deep inside her just had to know.

"Dunno. She's..."
"Don't say it, asshole! She'll hear you!"
"I don't care. She looks like a freak."
Seven looked over at the two men at the back of the bus impassively, knowing all to well who they were talking about. She felt kind of nervous, but that's just normal for any kind of social interaction. She smoothed her hair over, and brushed downher clothes with her hands. She then looked away, and waited to pull the string. How long until they'd arrive at the theatre? She just wanted to watch the movie now.
"She just looked at us."
"I told you not to talk so loud!"
"She's kinda hot, actually."
Seven grinned at this, knowing that she altered their vision of her, and instead of her normal face (which Seven despises), they saw a lusciously beautiful face. She smirked and had to hold in her laugh. She felt better now. A little.

An hour had passed and she had heard no stirring of life from in the house.
She moved towards the car, her mouth set in rigid grimness.
Getting in she dropped her Katana and coat on the passenger seat, started the engine and pulled out of the drive.
Time to get this stupid shopping trip done she thought.
The drive was peaceful and the low murmuring of the indie rock mix Cd that she had made earlier in the week calmed her nerves.
When she pulled into the parking lot of the Krogers supermarket she scanned the area, putting her car under the surveillance cameras. She knew this would do little to discourage the advance of the mogadorians if they found her. Parking she swiftly belted her katana to her waist and thigh settling it into its customary comforting position. She then put on her coat adjusting it so that the sheath was covered, slung her plain purse over her shoulder and exited her car, pressing the lock button and dropping the keys into her purse.
