Name: Jack Lexington

Personality: Jack is a complete maverick, and prides himself in being called one. He'll take on any challenge, no matter how utterly impossible they are, and will always come back with something. He's very diligent, always getting jobs when he can, and helping out around his small pirate community. Along with being a maverick, he's a complete and utter pyromaniac, with an insatiable appetite for destruction. He's always tinkering with Aethus to see what will blow up next. Jack also has an oddly spontaneous sense of Justice. During a raid, he might jeopardize the entire mission to release their slave cargo. Other times, he may viciously slaughter an entire drug ring without a second thought.

Equipment: Jack can always be seen with his standard Aethus handgun and his grappling hook, used to get onto enemy ships. But most of the time Jack uses much more, unorthodox equipment. A "chainsaw", about the size of its creator (Jack) and running on some 20 Aethus steam driven pistons to spin the chain, is one of his favorite "party crashers". It takes a few men to use the infernal contraption, but the result is a spinning blade that can chop through ships hulls like no pirate could ever do before. The chainsaw looks like a giant engine with a circular saw blade at one end and chains connected to the blade running back inside the machine. Jack also uses small, shrapnel bomb, made by filling a fragile container, usually glass, with a bunch of sharp metal and Aethus flakes. When the flakes are ignited by a fuse, they explode and send the shards flying in all directions.

History: Jack grew up in a large, pirate community nested on one of the outer branches of the Great Tree. He always showed an interest in making things, picking up scrap metal and piecing it together into small robot figurines. But as he got older, his creations started to get more practical, as well as much more dangerous. He nearly blew his hand off with his first hand-made gun if his parents weren't there to stop him from firing it. Now he's an established pirate, known throughout Ouranos for his "crazy" methods.

Today he's been hired to acquire some living cargo from the spire. The only description being, "You'll know it when you see it."
