Titus lay still trying to hold his breath. Who the hell was this? One minute a hunter was about discover him, the next minute, a human women lay before him in pain and was about to die.
"Damn" he cursed under his breath. Titus rose up out of the bushes and knelt next to the her. He cleared his throat and spoke to her in a rough coarse voice. Obviously he hadn't had water in a few days.
"Miss, my name is Titus, i'm going to take care of you. Don't panic, I just need get you out of here, Ghoul can smell death from miles away.He took a few moments to secure her to his back so she wouldn't move an inch. Then placed her belongings in his bag.
"Hold on tight miss and what ever you do, don't panic." Then suddenly an ear piercing screech appeared out of the shadows of the forest. Titus turned and there, at the bottom of the hill was a Ghoul. Not just one Ghoul, but dozens of them.
"GHOUL!" In a matter of seconds Titus had forced himself to transform into his wolf form.
(With the Andrea still strapped to his back)The transformation was painful, it always was for Werewolves. Within moments Titus leaped over the heads of the Ghoul and sprinted as fast as he possibly could
(Which is about 40 miles an hour). For almost an hour he ran and somehow the Legion of Ghoul had managed to stay right on his tail. Then suddenly Titus turned around and roared. With a flick of his wrist a spark of fire illuminated the trees in front of them. The spark caught fire and before the Ghoul knew what was happening a wall of flame had blocked them from their prey. They quickly retreated as fire will instantly turn a ghoul into ashes. When the coast was clear, Titus turned again and ran straight to the south western edge of the Jerichon Forest.
There was a small cottage with an elderly women there to greet them. He quickly transformed back into is Human form and then attempted to catch his breath. "She is wounded mother and need medical attention."
(His mother was what many people in Overdark would call, a Cleric. Which means healer.) Titus lifted into his arms and walked inside.
"She is fading mother." The elderly women took a deep long look at the girl. With a quiet rasping voice she ordered Titus to set her on the wooden table so she could examine her.
