Brief history: Misty and Ash first encountered each other under strange circumstances. Ash was trying to rush Pikachu to the Pokémon Center in Viridian City. In the process, he took off with Misty's bike. Misty would catch up with him and demand remittance for the bike... which got wrecked. Just to make sure Ash pays her back for the bike, she decides to go along with him (to Ash's dismay). Still, they become good friends during their adventures together, and the broken-bike really just becomes an excuse.

Misty parted ways with the boys and has been the Cerulean Gym Leader for several years.

Misty walked into Pallet Town Togetic flying next to her, "Wow everybody is making a big deal out of this gym thing aren't they Togetic " said Misty with a smile. "togetic!", said the Pokemon, and he started flying around looking at all the people and children. She walked up to where Professor Oak was and smiled it had been a while since she had seen him. She had been so busy at her own gym, her sisters had all gotten married and decided to let their youngest sister take over the gym. "Hey Professor!" called Misty waiving with a big smile on her face.

"OH it's great to see you as well professor, my sisters are busy taking care of babies but they let my have the day off, so I could congratulate Ash", she said looking at the children and smiling. "Togetic!", said togetic as he landed on top of Professor Oaks head. "Togetic your too big for that" said Misty, "togetic.." the pokemon looked sad settled to hover next to the professor. "Sorry professor he forgets he's not a baby anymore sometimes" she said with a chuckle. "So when is the man of the hour supposed to arrive", she said with a smile.

Misty looked down at the ground "It's okay professor they wanted to have families it's totally understandable their older then me and well. It's hard to run a gym and take care of your husband at children so naturally... Well I'm not attached like they are, so yeah well I'll be glad to see Ash" she said trying look a little more happy with her situation. The truth was that Misty desperately wanted to go back out in the world and go on another pokemon journey. But that would mean the Cerulean gym would have to be put into the hands of someone that isn't a member of the family. She shook off her sad mood and decided that it was better to be happy right now, she didn't want Ash being all worried about her when he should be excited about the Gym in Pallet town. "It's going to be interesting having a Gym here in Pallet town. Now a whole new generation will have a new Gym to go to" she said with a smile.

Misty waived "Hey Ash over here" she called out to Ash "wow he really got tall professor" said Misty excited to see her friend after so long. For the longest time she was taller then Ash now she was sure she would have to stand on the tips of her toes just to hug him.

Ash Put his arms around her. '' It's Good to see you to Misty.'' Some people In the crowd Woooed. Some female Reporter's began spouting question to Misty as she imbraced ash. '' long lady are gonna be the next celebrity girlfriend to the raining Poke'mon league champion.'' Ash released misty and blocked her from press.'' Alrught that's enough. She's just and old friend of mine. that's all.'' Pikachu stood on ash's head and protested. '' PIK-PIKACHU!''

A male reporter and a cameramen suddenly approached has as he stood in front of Misty. Because of ash's height and width. Misty could completely be hidden behind him the reporter shouted. '' Mr. ketchum, dose this sudden love interest alter your Plans as the Pallet town gym leader. Ash thought on what the man just asked.
'' Huh what. I'm not gonna be the gym leader, Well sure The cost to build the the gym came from my winning's in the poke'mon league. But i'm not staying on as the gym leader. where did you get that Idea Mister.'' Ash said with annoyed expression.

She was surprised at how popular Ash was, then from behind her there was the sound of a pokeball coming open "Phyduck!" she heard. Misty growled and turned around "Why won't you stay inside, after all this time you still don't listen. And you wonder why I wanted to leave you at home" she said loudly "return!" she yelled. She felt her heart sink when he took Gary offer for a battle, "Oh man your boyfriends going down" said one of the cheerleaders, Misty gave her an evil look " He's not my boyfriend, but Im not worried Gary is one of the lousiest trainers I've ever seen I'm not worried but you should be".

Said a pokemon as they walked in the door. Misty looked around "Is Brock around or something" she said. A girl walked around the corner "Oh are you greeting people Vulpix. Oh hello welcome to the Pallet town Pokelaaa.... Oh My God it's Ash Ketchum!" the girl looked like she was going to burst a vessel from excitement. "Hi my names Leila Carinton I'm one of Professor Oak's assistants, and I'm one of your biggest fans can I have your autograph" she said as she excitedly jumped up and down.

Vulpix got a sad face when Pikachu scolded her Image "vull" is said in a sad tone and it's ears flattened down.

"I'm sorry about Vulpix she was just born a few weeks ago so she kind of doesn't understand that she shouldn't stand in the door way" said Leila. "Here you go do want me to run it for you?" she asked.

Thats when Vulpix popped in front of Misty. "vulllll!" it cried.

Leila shook her head, "Now Vulpix thats not your conversation right now come back over here with me" she said as she handed Ash his healed pokemon.

Misty laughed at the cute little pokemon "Oh Leila she's alright she just a baby, and curious" Misty said with a smile.

Leila nodded and let the matter go, she glanced at the screen at the man "Sorry she's mine" she said with sweat drop.

Misty smiled "Well I told them I'd be gone for a while and Pewter City is on the way there, It'd be nice to see you Brock". Vulpix rubbed her cheek against Pikachu, vull vull, she purred.

Professor Oak came in shaking his head he couldn't believe what his grandson had done, now that his pokemon had been cared for, he decided to come back to the lab. He came in on the group, talking to Brock over the phone and smiled it had been a while since he had heard all three of their voices at the same time it was kind of nostalgic. He stood next to Leila, "Well Leila looks like Vulpix likes Pikachu" he whispered to his assistant.

Leila turned and smiled "Yes she's been embarrassing me since Ash and Misty came in" she said slightly blushing.

The professor smiled at Leila, the girl needed to get out, "Why don't you go with them Leila, it'll be good for Vulpix to get out".


Leila turned to the professor "But what about the pokelab and the daycare" said Leila worried.

The professor chuckled " I have plenty of hands around here. You should have an adventure you've been kooked up inside too long Leila" he said patting her on the back.

Leila bit her lip, it sounded very exciting and she would be around Ash Ketchum, "Professor they barely know me they wouldn't want me around".

Professor Oak laughed "You don't know Ash very well just ask them if you want to go".

Leila leaped for joy "Yipee, I finally get to do something", she cheered.

Misty laughed a little, "Well it'll be different having another girl around" she said with a smile "Hope you don't plan on bringing a bike Ash has a habit of demolishing them beyond repair, she laughed."
