Misty stood their smiling as she watched Ash fulfill a dream he had a long time ago, she was proud of him, she had stayed with him and his mother last night. It had been a little awkward for awhile, his mother was upset that he was leaving again. But she was happy that he wasn't going alone, togetic watched intently.

Leila watched the ceremony she had been packing last night and she knew that Professor Oak hadn't even gone to bed last night.

'' This gym is being built for the Pokemon Trainer's that are to come. My Journey has taken me all over the world. I've made friends. Human and pokemon alike. This gym is for them. Pallet Town will always be my home, and so its here that a leave my Legacy for every one to enjoy. Because along with this Gym. more things will come. Like a Pokemon center, and shops and all kind of things. So with out further a do.'' The Mayor hands him a Golden shovel Ash took it and Dug a small hole in the dirt then stuck it in the ground. Pikachu leaped off Ash's shoulder and stood on the shovel handle as ash and the Mayor posed shaking hands for pictures.

Misty smiled this was an event that will talked all over the Kanto Region, and it will be remembered for years to come. But no matter all of the publicity and fame Ash will always be the same, that boy she ran into almost twenty years ago. It seemed like yesterday, but Ash was still that brave fun loving boy only now he as a man and handsome one at that.

Leila almost cried after Ash's speech she could feel his sincerity and love of pokemon he was allot like her uncle in that respect.

People walked away as a construction crew's moved. In pallet town Square there was huge block party with food and games. Ash managed to catch up with Misty and Leila. " woooh I hate haveing to make up long speaches.'' Pikachu sighed. '' Piika, Piika.'' as he walked up and stood next to Togetic and Vulpix.

Gary walked up from behind Ash. '' Hay ketcum.'' Ash Turned around he put one hand in his pocket, Where he obviously had a pokeball ready if he desides to pull another stunt like he did yesterday.

Misty gave Gary the evil eye, Leila shook her head "Gary, I don't understand why you do the things you do but please try to act like and adult instead of the way you did when we were kids" said Leila shaking her head.

Misty abruptly turned to Leila, what was she talking about when they were kids.

Gary rolled his eye's. '' oh hush leila, Just because your my cousin doesn't mean I'm gonna baby you like My grandpa Oak. Ash got a shocked he turned to look At Leila then back at Gary. he could see the resemblance.

Gary walked up closer to ash.'' Any why this isn't about you.'' they both stood there for a moment then Gary smirked the lightly punched ash in the shoulder. '' Okay fine you win. Mr big time champaion.'' Ash looked confused. '' Huh....I win, What ya mean.'' Gary rolled His eye's '' Ugh what do i have to do spell it out for you, Okay Look I was desperate. So I went to the black market. To Buy out a high Level Pokemon. sure the guy was a shady figure. But I didn't Know he was a member of team rocket.'' he Pulls a Normal Pokeball outta his Pocket. He Sold me this Salamance under one condition. That I take you down and Strip you of the champion title.''

Ash Looked at Gary sternly. '' Well That's what you get for trying to cheat out and use pokemon for your own gain, Garry. Come on guys.''

'' Your right.'' gary said. Ash stopped. he turned his head back in his direction. Gary continued. '' That's why I'm quitting. No more trying to best you. You win Ash ketchum.'' he holds out his hand in friendship. Ash takes his hands outta his Pocket, and shakes Gary's. ash smirks, '' I don't think your done yet.'' he smirked.
Gary Opened his palm and in his hand was a badge



" What Is this ?'' Gary asked. Ash Pointed at the badge. '' Its the Basic Badge. the League is already having them mass Produced. Its Gonna be the badge of My Gym. But I want you to be the leader. I couldn't think of anyone better. Even if They where a total Jerk.

Misty was surprised that Ash had chose Gary to be the gym leader, but the truth was that Gary was a good trainer he just had issues.

Leila smiled it was priceless to see the look on her cousins face, he had always been the type to want to compete with someone to have your rival tell you that he wants you to take a job that is technically his well Gary was speechless and that was a miracle in itself.

Ash turned away from Gary. '' Come lets go, We got things to do.'' Pikachu hopped on ash's shoulder and he walked off. leaving Gary as he looked back at the construction sight of the Gym.

'' Okay Lets get on our way to Pewter City.'' he turned to leila. '' Guess I'm gonna have to teach you as much as I can. On the way, Its just are you sure your Vulpix can battle.''

Blake had just arrived in pallet town. Blake hopped out of the hydro plane and onto solid ground, he stumbled a little getting used to being on firm ground again. Brute jumped out of the plane After blake, Brute was a Manectric, Blake had had him since he was a pup electrike Blake smiled at Brute. "Lets get to the new gym." Blake said, he had come from Sinnoh and was a huge ash enthusiast. Blake had seen ash battle and he now wanted to be at his gym and possibly become a worker there.

Blake walked through pallet town, the new gym causing a huge mess in the usually calm town. Blake saw Ash and a couple other people walking down a path with a sign that said 'To Pewter city.' Blake ran after them and finally caught up. Blake looked at Ash in awe. "Hey... what's... up?" He asked in between deep breaths for air. Brute stood beside Blake and looked at Pikachu, Brute wzs also an enthusiast but of Pikachu, not ash.

Leila laughed and knelt down unzipping the bag that was slung over her shoulder, "I do have pokeballs Ash and I'm professor Oaks neice there would be no way he would let me sit around here and not at least know the basics of training and catching pokemon" she said as she pulled out a belt of pokeballs. Thats when she heard a voice coming up behind then and a boy with his pokemon running up.

ash saw the kid approach him with an apparent Sinno Region pokemon. '' Oh boy a last minute fan.'' he thought to himself. But Ash Decided to be nice. '' uhh Hi, Umm the party is in The town square. What are you doing here. kiddo.'' Pikachu notice the fellow electric type pokemon and nodded In greeting. '' Pika...pikachu.''

Blake looked over his shoulder at the party. "I'm going to the Pewter city gym to get my badge." Blake said. Brute let out a bark to show he agreed. "I'm Blake." Blake said putting his hand out for ash to shake it.

Brute looked at Pikachu. "Manetric." he said to Pikachu as a greeting.

"Well I don't see why he can't follow us to Pewter City" said Misty, togetic flew over to the unfamiliar pokemon "Togetic!" said togetic cheerfully.

Leila smiled at the guy, "Ash you called him Kiddo like your an old man he's not that much younger then you" she laughed.

ash thought it over, He didn't exspect this and he trusted misty and leila not to sare ash's plans to go after team rocket soon after meeting with Broking he nodded at the other two. and amiled at blake. '' By all mean's. I don't see why not. but we better get going. I wanna get to Mt.moon before sun down, we'll make camp there, agreed.''

"Agreed." Blake said marvelling at Ash and Pikachu.

brute barked his agreed and happily wagged his tail. he was happy they got to travel with pikachu.
