Personality: Smart, Friendly, Sometimes Skittish
Backstory: When Lucas was born they were in a dangerous place. An allosaur pack had lived nearby and used Lucas's pack as easy food. Soon the pack had to leave, and life was fine until Lucas was 15. Lucas's pack split up after 2 carnotaurus had attacked, and Lucas decided to live on his own. He constantly passed by guilds and decided he wanted to own one, not create one. But that's difficult when everything sees you as easy prey.

Lucas the Coelophysis's Story

Lucas awoke and looked outside, sunshine poured into the cave. He yawned and began to stretch his legs before hearing a loud bellow. He flinched as a stegosaurus herd peacefully passed by the cave. After they passed he carefully walked outside and looked both ways for any predators. Suddenly the ferns in front of him began to rustle and he quickly chomped down at them, grabbing a comsognathus in his jaws. He violently shook the tiny creatures back and forth, killing and eating it. As he ate he looked around carefully.
He wasn't sure what to do next, on one hand this place was great for smaller carnivores like him, but he was growing bored of this place. He had been here for the last couple of days. He wasn't having any luck finding anyone to join him, his main goal right now. He was growing lonely, but everyone he approached saw him as food or in the case of small herbivores, a threat. And those that didn't couldn't see a point in joining one little coelophysis to create a guild. Being at the bottom of the food chain sucked. But Lucas was determined.
Finishing his meal he lie there with the tiny bones in front of him, and he silently watched out over the jungle, thinking of what to do and watching out for any danger.

Lucas stood up after hearing a flapping sound outside. He cautiously walked towards the edge of the cave and poked his head out, looking left and right he saw nothing. He carefully walked outside and looked around more, lying low. Nothing.
He looked up and saw a sea foam blue archeopteryx looking down at him. He relaxed immediately, knowing it was just an archeopteryx.
"What's up?" he asked, perhaps an archeopteryx could be a helpful companion for him, it could fly and tell him what's around.

Käthe gasped from a sudden voice and screeches in fear, accidentally falling onto the floor from being startled. She groaned in pain, lifting her head and shaking it slightly to stabilize her vision a little. She looks up and yelps, jumping up from seeing a Cleo and gently backing away. "Wh-who are you!?"
"Relax! I already ate!" Lucas said to the squirming critter, "I'm Lucas, and I'm not gonna hurt you, do you maybe wanna travel with me? Looks like you could use some protection, and I plan to make a guild one day, you could be a good start"
He heard a large below not too far away, looking to the right he saw a lone kentrosaurus, velociraptors pounced on it, digging into it's skin. The ferns near it splattered with blood and within seconds the poor thing was dead. It was never smart for lone herbivores to come through here, let alone herds.
"Come on we gotta get inside, those raptors are probably gonna be looking for more to hunt soon" he said turning back to the archeopteryx and running inside the cave.

Käthe gasped, flying straight into the cave in fear of the raptors. She lands next to a corner and shivers slightly. "Th-thank you.." Käthe quietly peeped. Should I trust him? W-what if he keeps me here to eat for later..? she thought to herself, her pupals looking like tiny specks of black.
The raptors quickly ran past the cave, but Lucas heard one come to a quick stop, he saw some of the dust it had kicked up from stopping. And it came into view of the cave, however it was looking away from them and sniffed the air. It's feathers stood up and it snapped down at compies that came running through, panicking.
Lucas sighed with relief as the raptors were distracted, and he could hear them getting furthur and furthur.
"So, about my question before, do you wanna travel with me?" he whispered.

"Well I think they're pretty far right now, I'll go check"
Lucas carefully went to the mouth of the cave and poked his head out, no raptors to be seen anymore. He turned back to face the archeopteryx.
"Looks like the coast is--augh!" Lucas began to say as he was tackled to the ground by a dilophosaurus. The two fought and clawed at eachother. Lucas snapped at it's neck and blood spilled. He got up and hissed as the dilophosaurus coughed up blood and gasped for breath. Lucas jumped on top of it, pushing it onto the ground, and he ripped at it's neck, killing it. He got off of the corpse and dragged it inside.
"Damnit" he said, feeling the pain from the scars on him, "Here you hungry?" Lucas said as he lied down, "Alright, we should probably stay in here for a while. I've been thinking about leaving this forest, it's just not safe as you can see, you can't trust anybody. But I don't know where we should go"

Käthe hesitantly nodded, feeling her stomach growl from the dilo's corpse being offered as a meal. She gently pecked at the carcass and tore of a piece of bloody flesh from the dilo's belly and swallowed. "...It would be a good idea for you to leave the forest, since you cannot take flight for an escape.." she says softly, hoping to not provoke the Cleo. "I-I guess I could help if you need someone to help you safely make it out..." she says, her feathers still twitching from anxiety.

Flies began gathering around the corpse, and Lucas snapped at some of them, killing them and spitting them out. They didn't taste that great.
"Well, I was planning to make a guild somewhere, this place isn't really the best spot due to all the ambushes that can happen on guild members. I was hoping you could maybe join the guild? I'm just not sure where such a small starting guild could survive at first, BloodRed Forest is a big no for starting guilds, here there's too many ambushes, not enough flat ground, you got any ideas where I should go?
(We may need a new area, if you have an idea for it pm me on EX Shadow)

Käthe shivered, "O-ok. I've never had anyone ask me to join a guild before, and I've never left the Shadow Forest all my life.." she thought, tearing out another fibrous, fatty piece of tender flesh from the dilo's scaly abdomen. She licked her beak to clean it slightly, feeling the still warm blood lightly stain her emerald beak strap. She gently puffed up her feathers self comfortingly.
"Maybe there is a river or coast we could go to that has other small dinos like us?" she peeped

"Alright then" Lucas replied before grabbing another peace of soft flesh from the now almost skeletal corpse, "So, it is pretty early, we should probably get going soon, but first, what's your name? I'm Lucas, if I didn't mention it before.

"Hey you 3 do you wanna--" he was cut off by their little voices.

"Ugh, compies, all the same" Lucas muttered before turning back to the little bird like dinosaur.

Käthe blinks, "I've only seen dead forms of them. My name is Käthe, once of the Forst flock," she said, slowly getting more and more comfortable with the little cleo. She pulled a piece of flesh barely hanging from the bone and saved it in her cheek. "We might need to store food somehow, in case we end up trapped somewhere for a night. I could scout for more food and a safe path out of the forest, if you'd like," She explained, her head twitching occasionally to check the cave opening.
"Alright, you mind flying around to find a post and then coming back here? It could take a few hours for you to scout the entire forest, by then it'll be midday. I'll try to get a compy or two to hold in my mouth during the journey for backup food. Although the little buggers are everywhere in this forest, I don't think food will be an issue if we can scare em outta hiding" Lucas replied, "Come back here when you've found a safe route, and we'll be good to go. Although maybe we should stay just one more night and leave really early tommorow instead of getting caught out there at night."
Käthe nodded, "Alright, Should I fly east or Westward?" she says, slightly embarrassed for not knowing the North and South directions herself. She looks back at the Dilo bones, slightly curious if she could use the bones as path markers in case of an emergency. She looks back at Lucas, "I could fly during the night then fly back if I find a good path if you want."
Lucas picked up a final scrap of flesh off of what was now a pile of bones sitting in the cave, swallowing it quickly.
"Well I believe it's east of here" Lucas replied
"I'm thinking we go to Brine Drifted Shore. And I think it'd be better if you just found a path now, it'll take a few hours to get out of the forest going east, but we have to go that way. No matter which way we go it'll take a few hours, so no shortcuts out of here it seems. I say you just look now and report back, then we stay here for tonight and if you want you can double check the path out at night. Good luck" Lucas said, nudging her as if to say hurry up.

Lucas sighed with boredom, a few hours had past, he was hoping Kathe would be back by now. He had already killed 2 compies to bring with them, and decided to catch another for a snack. It wasn't very hard, they were everywhere, just hard to catch. He ran outside and made a quiet screech, enough for the compies to hear though and dived down at the moving leaves. Snatched one up and killed it. He quickly ate it and ran back into the cave.
"Come on Kathe, where are you" he whispered.

Käthe soon landed and returned to the cave, puffing up her plumage slightly. "Ok, I found a path, but it's pretty small. There's a large log we can hide in for a stop." she explained, looking at the compies that were for the trip and nodding gladly.
"Alright, change of plans, we should go now, after so much happening around this cave, the raptors, the dilophosaurus, dead compies. Something is gonna get suspicious and come check it out and find us here sleeping. We can sleep in the log... well no time to lose, let's go" Lucas said before grabbing the 2 compies in his mouth and walking outside the cave, expecting Kathe to follow.
