Introduction
This roleplay takes place long ago, in a land still ruled by the animal gods. The humans have taken over and destroyed much of the sacred forest in their quest for iron ore. What is left of the Sacred Forest is ruled by the Wolf Goddess, a larger than life wolf, the Monkeys, and the Sprit of the Woods.
Even though these gods and goddesses still rule what is left of the receding Forest, they are very angry with the fact that THEIR sacred lands are being taken over, so they lash out against the humans.
There is a town, the main town destroying the Sacred Forest. Iron Town. This is where the majority of weapons are made. Guns, bullets, anything made from iron. The people of this town are very hard-working, but they are also scared of the Forest Spirits. Most of the gods don't mess with the humans, but the Wolf Goddess and her two sons have been attacking the town lately, mainly getting detered by the shots that are taken at them.
The only thing keeping the people from completely destroying the forest, and the only thing keeping the Gods from completely destroying the humans, is the great Shishi-game, or Forest Spirit. He is working hard to keep what little peace they have. And he is keeping the peace wonderfully.

Ryuka sat, crouched, on the edge of a cliff, over-looking Iron Town. Fears pushed his nose up against her arm, and licked the tips of her fingers. Ryuka looked down at him and sighed. "What are they up to?" she mumbled softly, her eyes flashing. She wrapped her arms around Fears's soft neck, and sat there, watching the movement in the Town below.

Khazu was eating a small bowl of noodles, and around him were five other men, each one much older then him. Each one was doing either preparing their equipment, or eating as well. Unfortunately only six of them were hired to help Iron Town, and hopefully enough the others weren't paid to help one of the rival towns. They only wanted the five, but the eldest of them pleaded to take Khazu, and even said that he would work for such a small payment. The words, 'he is just a kid' still fresh in his mind. " Im still gonna beat your head in Kiuto," the old man in the corner tensed up, "Just don't fall asleep." Khazu laughed jokingly.

As they neared Iron Town's high walls, Ryuka carefully, gracefully, moved to a standing position on the wolf's back. Almost immediately, she threw herself off the wolf, and to the top of the wall. She moved enough to hide her shadow from the light, and stood, crouched, looking over Iron Town. She held the back of her hand to her nose, growling at the scent. So far, she had remained unseen.

Khazu stood and exited the small building feeling that it was rather cramped. Everyone in the town was always so busy, and if they were not busy, they were all together gambling or eating off somewhere. Though the citizens here never did really have anything interesting things to talk about except how everyone wants their iron. So he walked over to one of the guards and sat down next to them, hoping to find some kind of answer. "So let me get this right, you are pretty much the most powerful town, you have stronger weapons, yet you hire us to help protect it?" He just got a dull nod for a reply, From what, your little weapons could take out any sword that tries to attack here.". Again the man did not even bother coming up with a full answer. "So why does none of the families go camping in the forest?"
That is what got the man all tight, "Families!?!? In the forest?! Your insane, do you have any idea what is out there?"
Khazu shrugged," deer, bears, maybe some other things?"
The guy replied by flailing his arms and walking off, "Darned kids don't know anything these days."

Quickly after the guardsmen left, a loud sound came from the stables. "THE WOLF GIRL!" people began shouting, as ox went charging through the town. Men raced to catch the oxen, and others ran towards the stables to catch her. When they got there, the insides of the stables were completely ruined, and no animals were still inside.
After a few more minutes, a sound could be heard from the rice building, not too far from the stables. "She's in here!" The women ran towards there.
Ryuka was still inside the rice building, scattering the containers. She jumped up, grabbing the wooden roof supports. She swung herself up and out of the building. She moved across the roof quickly, silently, and jumped up to the a different roof. She stood there, high above Iron Town, and looked down, the moon sitting dramatically behind her.
After a few more minutes, a sound could be heard from the rice building, not too far from the stables. "She's in here!" The women ran towards there.
Ryuka was still inside the rice building, scattering the containers. She jumped up, grabbing the wooden roof supports. She swung herself up and out of the building. She moved across the roof quickly, silently, and jumped up to the a different roof. She stood there, high above Iron Town, and looked down, the moon sitting dramatically behind her.

Khazu jumped upright at the sound of people hollering back and forth, men with weapons constantly running past him. Whatever was happening he needed his sword which was back at the building. He pushed through the crowds and stumbled into the room where the five looked at him inquisitively. He walked over to his great sword, and lifted it to rest on his shoulder. "They are all freaking out saying something about a wolf girl." He muttered, trying to inform them on what he did not know.
But it seemed to do the trick, they all jumped up and started racing out of the doorway barely having time to grab their weapons. "Well come on Khazu, this is the filthy troublemaker herself!" He never really got informed on any reasons as to why they are hired.
"What is a wolf girl anyways?" He hollered after them, waiting for a moment before chasing them down. They were just ignoring him weren't they. "Seriously guys, who or what are we up against? Some crazy person in town escape from their cage or something?" Again they all ignored him, running towards the buildings.
"Your just a kid, you don't need to know anything about this. Perhaps you should just go back home to your mom and work on a farm." This was one of the particularly more aggressive mercenaries who has been known to kill his own friends for a pretty small amount of money. " The old guy just feels sorry for you, just get over it and come on." Though Khazu came to a halt, watching them run off to the rice building. He would just meet them after all this, he suddenly just felt like being alone.

Ryuka dropped down behind Khazu silently. She pricked his shoulder with the tip of her blade, then danced back. Quietly, she licked the blade, tasting his blood. "You're not from around here." she whispered, meeting his eyes. She stood, taking in his sight, then dodged to one side, disappearing into the darkness again. People began racing in and out of the rice building, looking for the girl.

Khazu grabbed at his shoulder, turning back around to see nothing but a blur vanishing. That voice, could it have been this alleged wolf girl? He leaned his head back slightly as if to examine his shoulder. She dropped down behind him so quietly, and if she caused this much ruckus why did she not just kill him? He dropped the great sword into the ground, having it sit like a barrier to his back. "Now hold on, come back here... Who the hell are you?"
"What happened to your shoulder?" Khazu looked around to see another one of the five, this was Icha, he was always one of the kinder ones, but joked around all to much. "Did ya cut yourself carrying the sword again? Boy, I told you not to try and impress the ladies with that thing!" He chuckled softly before standing beside Khazu and gripping his shoulder. "Seriously did you cut yourself again with that thing, I keep telling you to get a shoulder guard or something at least.." Though Khazu glanced back to where he heard the girl's voice, before looking back at him and nodding.
"Yea, got a little to excited I guess."

Ryuka's entrance had caused quite a bit of ruckus, but it seemed like things were settling down. Quite a few of the oxen had escaped, but they seemed to be gathering up the remaining ones. Everybody seemed to think the wolf girl had just vanished again. However, she was crouching, completely hidden by darkness, and watching the boy she had pricked before. She moved silently forward, following him silently, waiting for him to get by himself.

Khazu picked back up his blade, and started walking back with Icha until he stopped him. "Acutally, hey Khazu, I am going to take the guys out to drink. Well, sorry bud but your to young for that. Maybe you can run back to the house and make yourself a guard huh?" He chuckled, leaving Khazu behind as he met up with the others. Again, he felt abandoned, and wanting to be alone as he walked all the way back and entered the small building. What was up with the others, he was just as good as them. After a few minutes of mingling around, he decided to lay down on his bed spread and stair at the roof.

Ryuka dropped down from the cieling, landing with her feet on either side of his waist. She dropped down immediately, keeping him from reaching for his sword, and held herself on her hands and knees, pinning his hands down. "What are you doing here?" she spat darkly, narrowing her eyes at the boy. She was wearing a grass green skirt and midriff top. She wasn't wearing the hat or jacket, but those were somewhere in the ceiling. Her hair fell over her shoulders, almost touching Khazu's nose.

Khazu stared up at her for a moment quietly, wondering exactly why the people of the town call her the wolf girl. " I was hired to help protect the town, but they see me as to young, and leave it all up to the others." The town did not seem to underestimate her, and she looked about the same age as him. She did not even seem to be causing any harm to the people, why did Kiuto say she was the main reason they were here? "You need to go, go before the five come back. I think that they are out to kill you." Even he did not fully understand why he had the urge to protect her, it just felt somehow right to help her out.

"I'm not scared of you, or any of the other humans." Ryuka snarled, narrowing her eyes darkly. Somewhere in the distance, a wolf howled. Ryuka looked up momentarily, then her eyes opened wide. She turned back to Khazu. "Get away from here." she muttered, then jumped up, disappearing into the ceiling again.

"But aren't you human?" He muttered, watching her disappear yet again from his vision. Only for his concentration to be broken by one of the citizens running in to check on him. " Yea, I am alright.. thanks." He waved his hand, wanting the guy to leave. "Get away from here.", her voice repeated in his head, what could she mean by that. "Maybe I can get permission to go on one of their trade routes for awhile, clear my head some.."

Khazu's eyes fell upon the villager yet again, still he resisted to leave? Maybe the five had this person come to watch over him. " It is all the more reason to protect precious cargo that has to travel through is it not? Mind running along and asking the captain for me?" Khazu tried to lighten his eyes, hoping to actually take advantage of his youth by getting him to do his will. "If you don't want to, I can try to find him.. But then he will talk down to me." A smile remained hidden in his lips, knowing the if he asked the captain himself, he would never get off the hook. But perhaps if another asked for him, he could go away for awhile.

Khazu shook to himself listening to the howl, perhaps that actually was the wolf girl. Made she was not a part of the town, but actually lives in the woods. Even more when Kuito popped his head in. "Oh, its you.." He sighed in relief thinking that more trouble was actually coming his way. "Quite a crowd out there huh?" The voice was light, almost like he was trying to chuckle but could not manage to.

Ryuka and Fears made their way through the forest together, keeping completely silent as they moved. What is wrong, Ryuka? Fears asked softly. Ryuka narrowed her eyes, bending closer over her brother. "I'm not sure..." she muttered. "They're beginning to bring outsiders into the town..." Fears shook his large head. It won't matter. When it comes time, no amount of humans will help them.

"So when the time comes I am expected to kill her huh?" Khazu mumbled to himself rolling over onto his side. But if he ever did come across her, would he be able to possibly kill her? After all she did spare his life when she could have surely killed him. He wanted one of the fives help to understand what the next course of action should be. But then again, they only care about the pay and want the girl dead. Should this count as a mercenaries stroke of luck, or a debt that is owed to an enemy that probably can not be paid? "Thats it!" He exclaimed rather loudly, making yet another head pop in the door. Khazu just stared at him blankly until the guy left. "I am going to have nightmares over this." And thats as far as his idea went.

She grabbed a long spear, and decorated her legs, under her skirt, with knives. She threw herself onto Fears, and the two bounded from the tall cliff. The forest was quiet, as it had been last night. Ryuka was, obviously, nervous, which put her brother on edge.

Khazu shifted his wait slightly, the way they designed the seats were very uncomfortable. But at least the space between them was wide enough for his blade to barely squeeze in. He managed to take one of the shifts meaning he would be out of town for about a week. Just long enough for him to clear his head and be alone for awhile. The trade route would take them across the mountains and into the plains where they could grab wheat and other goods from the fields. "Nice fresh air huh?" He looked around his blade to see the person driving. Though it seemed they were highly on edge, nervous about something. "Fair enough.." He leaned back, resting his head on the back of the seat and began to doze off. It was to early for his liking.

Moving silently, Fears kept his ears perked up. Ryuka was looking over the area. They are working on the trade route again. Fears told her. Ryuka nodded. "Yeah, I know." Want to stop them? he asked. The wolf girl smiled, showing her sharp teeth. She leaned forward on Fears, and the wolf turned towards the trade route. "Let's follow them... If we wait for their gathering, we can take the food... along with the men." Fears grunted his agreement, and they moved to hide amongst the trees, staying near the traders.

Khazu jolted as the caravan was going across one of the more bumpy regions. He slowly looked around the blade to peer at the one steering the thing. "You could have warned me about that." The bumping continued, annoying, irritating him to the point where he could not stand it. "Actually I am just going to walk." He pulled up the blade and jumped down onto the ground. Because of the size it went a few inches into the ground however. "Dammit!" He tugged at the blade a few times until it came loose. Then he continued walking up and down alongside the caravan. Maybe when the paths got smoother he could get some rest again.
