Please, just leave me be.
Illiana is well, shy almost. She doesn't speak to other people or make friends well, but it isn't so much that she is afraid to, but that she doesn't want to. She really, rather, doesn't like people very much. She gets close to a few select people, and that is it. She is often pessimistic, realistic, sarcastic, and intellectual and always polite. She doesn't like being around people for extended periods of time, but she is never rude and actually despises rude people. She spends her life absorbed by the APD, always training or doing assignments. She prides herself on her "married to the job" kind of attitude and her constant stride for excellence and control over her powers.
(This was longer and better, but it got erased and I did not feel like retyping it... >.<)
When Illiana turned nine years old, her powers became evident to her and her family. Whenever she became overly stressed or overwhelmed, a frenzy of flying objects would hurl themselves around the room. Her family became afraid of this, and hid her away in the house. However, people in the town began to wonder what had become of Illiana, and so her parents had to decided a permanent solution for their daughter. She had three months to either get her powers under control and presentable to the community, or she must be thrown out. Illiana became distraught, training endlessly for control day after day. Her brother, Griffeth, was her only source of support and comfort. He would often spend days alone with her in the house, helping her in her search for control.
Upon the third month, Illiana was still not ready. Her parents banished her and sent her to live on the streets and in the gutter, but her brother came with her. Despite struggle and hardship, they managed to find solace in each other. When Illiana was ten, the town had gotten wind of why the young girl seemingly disappeared. They sent police forces and other means to catch her and rid their city of the possible threat. Illiana and Griffeth ran, hoping to find refuge in another town. But upon reaching the boarder, a group of bounty hunters managed to find them. Griffeth made Illiana promise to remain hidden, no matter what. Above all else, he wanted her to survive. As they hid, the bounty hunters managed to find Griffeth. They tortured him, trying to force him to reveal the location of his sister, but he said nothing. Frustrated, the bounty hunters shot Griffeth and began their search for Illiana. Illiana, overcome with grief and rage, began a frenzy of nearby debris and foliage. Instantly, the hunters fell to the ground, dead. Illiana emerged from her hiding place and wept over the body of her dead brother, remaining there for three days.
On the third day, a man approached Illiana. Illiana automatically assumed he was another person trying to harm her and seiged an attack, but the man raised his hand and stopped it. Illiana was shocked and confused, no one had ever been able to control her powers other than her. The man addressed himself as a member of the APD, and that he had come to help her. Without anything left to lose, Illiana trusted him and climbed into the backseat of his large, black car. Despite not knowing where she was going or this man's name, she felt at ease and managed to fall asleep. When the car stopped, she woke up. Opening the door, she noticed a large building with "APD" written on it, but could not find the man who had brought her there. She walked inside and found a note addressing her by name and giving her instructions on where to go and what to do. Thus beginning her life in the APD. Although she entered the APD at ten, she did not start formally training until three years ago. However, she has been training non-stop since her arrival and lives to be part of the organization.
