|Background/History|
Stella always knew she was special.

She was always popular, mostly because of her beauty. She always had a caring heart. Her mother and father split early on, and her mother took full custody of her. She was constantly popular through Middle School and High School, even though she moved a lot, and when she did settle in Toronto, Canada, after living in New York for three years, she was the girl everyone wanted to be. Somehow, she was still humble. She took time to do charity work, and always put others before herself. When she found out about her being a god,

She wasn't surprised.

Not to say that in a rude way, but she did have a few signs.. when she was eight, she was suppost to go play with her friend, and she was hoping to make a lemonade stand to raise money, and it began to pour. She thought about how nice a summer day would be, and the clouds began to part...

So begins...

STELLA DONVILLE

I woke up from my long sleep, groning. I hear faint talking in the back, from a female and a male. I rub my eyes to clear the sleep. I rolled over onto my side, and nuzzled a part of my face into the pillow, as if I wanted to go back into my nightmares. I had been having nightmares for the past few nights...

I rolled back onto my back, and slowly opened my eyes. Pulling myself up, I glance over at the brunette girl and blonde boy. The blonde boy appeared to be changing, so I slid my hand in front of my eyes to be polite, and yawned.

"Good morning." I said, trying to be nice and awake, but still had drowsiness lacing my voice.

I slipped out partly from under my blankets, showing an olive green tanktop and white stretchy short-shorts. I yawned once again, and pulled my hairbrush from off my bedside table. I began to run it though my silky blonde hair.

I step out of my plain sleeping bag, and stand up. The olive tank top stretches to about a quarter down my thigh, just showing the bottom of my white shorts. I twist my hair around my neck and down my shoulder, forming a sidewind. I don't have the guts to get dressed in front of everyone, but I can at least pull myself together, after all, I am the deity of beauty. I chuckle to myself a bit, thinking about how much I lounge around in my sweatpants and a t-shirt so often at home.

Once I'm pulled together, I kneel down on my sleeping bag and look around the room. Everyone is beginning to wake up from their long sleep. I look around the large room, which looks to be a theater. There is are two pairs of red eyes on the stage.

I shutter.

"3000 years ago. The old gods reigned with an iron fist. Basking in glory and power on their throwns in Olympia. But then came the war. A war which ended with the imprisonment of the old gods. Thrown into the pit they were. Left to live their immortal lives in agony for 3000 years. I have created you because a great change is about to occur and you must pick a side.

The Void smiled. It was obvious he already new the outcome of this "change" but he didnt give anything away. The future is blured to you.

"Look at you all." He said with pity.
"You are weak and don't understand the full magnitude of the powers you have."

Blake sighed. He knew exactly what this was about. "Let the humans fight. A war will only make me stronger." Blake said. He let himself slump down in a seat in the theatre. "Choose your sides, fight, do what you will. But remember at the end of the day the more people that die from a bullet or blade on the battlefield the more powerful I become." Blake said, he checked his hands nails dirt and cleaned then with his thumbs nail.

"If you really sought was was good for humanity you would stop them from fighting. Not be choosing sides and rising the body count." Blake said. His armor clinked as he rest one of his harms on one of the armrests then his head on his fist.

"I agree with her." I back up, then point at a redheaded girl now next to me. "Plus, we would just end up killing everyone! There are good humans out there, I know myself."

They have nothing against us, from what I know, to make us fight. They can not simply walk up to us, and tell us to kill thousands of people due to a petty war that probably started with only two groups of people.

"We are humans at heart, even though we are gods. We have lived among them, and now you simply can't tell us to kill them. They can fend for themselves, create a bloodbath. But think about it, if we fought, the bloodbath would only be bigger, and it wouldn't fix anything." I said, stating my point effectively, from what I think.

Allison frowned. She knew in her heart that it was wrong to help the people destroy themselves. They shared the planet, they had been her friends. She looked up at the void, her green-blue eyes full of emotion. "Please, I don't mean to disrespect you, I'm very happy that I've been allowed to exist because of you. If there's no other choice, I'll do it." She clenched her fist, taking a deep breath in. "Please. Give me another option. Don't make me choose who to defend. Everyone has a right to peace..to living without fear."
Allison then smiled at the blond next to her, happy that not everyone had lost their humanity.
She looked at the young man who had spoken to the teenage boy in the armor. He obviously held the Void in the highest regard. She wasn't quite sure what to make of him yet.

The crowd fell silent.

"Without the gods, man will fight themselves to extinction..."
He takes a moment to make eye contact with everyone in the room.
"But with the gods...some of them at least...may be saved...

The old gods still suffer in the bottomless pit. All but immortality has been taken from them.
Their power, has been passed on to you."

The words echo in my mind. They need a leader, we are the only ones. We are the ones capable to stop this fight.

"I'll fight." I said, loudly.

As Stella, the goddess of Air, Beauty and Weather rises to her feet, a sense of awe came upon the others...
He face appears to be glowing with beauty and her voice is filled with determination.
As alluring as she was. Those next to her were forced to take a step back. Its almost as if she was radiating light and energy.

The Void looks in her direction with a grin on his face. He had hoped this would happen to at least one of them while he was there.
He says in a whisper.

"Behold Stella goddess of Air and Beauty and Weather. You have taken the 1st step to discovering the magnitude of your divine. power...

And this goes for all of you. In the next few days your power will continue to grow. Until you achieve your divine form. But until that time comes. You will remain in human form. Weak and vulnerable to those who currently seek to destroy you."

The Void glances out the window and you see the light vanish. Its now pitch black darkness. The Voids red eyes glow but they appear to be fading away into the shadow...

"I will be watching." He whispers.

Then the red eyes disappear.

The 16 of you are left alone in a room which you have no idea where. And the only light from the window has been mysteriously blocked. You hear footsteps outside. You deduce from the shuffling and the level of sound that there must be at least a dozen of them. Currently surrounding the place from the outside.

"Someone is coming in." I yell, and somehow make it sound soft. "Look at that door.."

Through the dull light, controlled by a boy a little bit younger then me, I saw a thick wood door right to the stage. The lock on the door rattled around, like someone was trying to get in. The rust that caked the metal lock rubbed together, making a heavy screeching noise.

I looked around, looking for a place to hide. I see a small, concrete circle, with a steel, also rusted handle. A hiding place, an escape?

Then it hit me.

The void is testing us. Fight or Flight. We can fight the invaders, if we can not make peace with them, or we can run away, flight. I bit my lip, looked at my two options, then at my fellow gods and goddesses, then I clench my fists.

I don't know about them, but I'm going to fight.

“I am the dark and the night and the cold. I am the light and the day and the peace. I am the war and the suffering and the never ending chaos. I am the order and the judgement of the living. I AM THE VOID! The chaos from which all things came."

“Fascinating!” Lucas said to himself, he turned to this Alison “It seems even higher beings have a taste for the theatrics.” he chuckled to himself.

Lucas listened intently to the beings words and the words of those around him. Like a true scholar he simply observed the exchange, calculating moods and personalities from the brief exchanges. They were a mixed bunch, the boy and an older man have an intense exchange of words.

“I don't want any fights with any of you” he heard the deity of war say, Lucas at least agreed with that.

With a final ominous warning the higher being fled the area and plunged the theatre into darkness, eventually one of the others created a light source, illuminating the room. There was an awkward silence as everything sunk in. Lucas just scratched his chin, this truly was fascinating stuff and he was living an historians dream being a part of it. But could he get involved with a war? His role was to observe, record...but then again, who better than the God Of Time and History to make sure you don’t repeat the mistakes of the past? Lucas thought about these things in silence for sometimes before the sound of people rushing around outside. The doors began clattering and few of the others geared themselves for battle. Even the Goddess of Beauty, who had proudly proclaimed that she would fight in the war, a statement that made Lucas roll his eyes and tut.

Lucas strolled forward calmly.

Perhaps this was some kind of test; the void could have been preparing them or studying their reactions...a real possibility. No doubt there was a hidden escape route somewhere, but... Lucas had a lot of curiosity. Either way Lucas’s indifference was dissipating. He studied the hammering door for a while.

“This could get ugly...” he turned back to the Alison girl, who looked as white as a sheet. “You hanging in there little one? ” Lucas cleaned his glasses casually “If I was in this situation when I was your size, I’d be terrified.” He put his glasses back on, the hammering was getting louder. “Tell me young one, can you use your abilities...offensively?”

Blake sighed as the door began to rattle. He allowed the helmet to sprout back on his head. He Drew Misery, his longsword and as he put his left arm out a large kiteshield appeared on it. Blake took a stance by the door. He began thinking strategically. "I'll distract them. If any of you want to run, do it while they're trying to get at me." Blake said. "Any of you that are going to fight, get ready. Whomever or whatever is out there sounds like it's frantic to get in here." Blake said. "Don't attack unless you're sure they're hostile." Blake thought aloud. He could see all the other gods, some looked ready to kill. Others looked ready to piss themselves.

Blake watched the lock rattle and it finally broke...

I scrambled to the rest of the group. The moaning of the zombies, or whatever they are, grew louder and louder.

The lock began to rumble even more...

I ducked down, and slid my legs under the seats, and hid slightly.

"I have an idea!" I scream. "Due to the fact we are immortal, no air in the room won't affect us, right? I'll slow them down for sucking the oxygen out of the for a few seconds, just to weaken them. A few will pass out, and they will all generally weaken, whatever then are." I pause. "Keep the light on."

Allison hadn't had time to reply. It was all moving so fast, almost too fast. She had remembered Lucas' unanswered question. Had she been able to tell him, it'd have been a no, she was not alright, and a no, her abilities would not attack, only shield and heal.
Of course she hadn't said anything, she had just stood there, dumbfounded.
She wasn't brave like the others, she wasn't old enough or strong enough to handle herself. Her abilities were useless in this situation. Her pulse quickened, and she tried to calm down. She hadn't been prepared for this. What had the Void been thinking?!

The beauty queen snapped up a great idea, but if they were immortal then why would they be afraid of whatever was coming through that door? Raiden just looked around wondering about what to do. Perhaps no one heard his idea, but the knight said he will defend them and was holding the door closed, It seemed like they wanted to fight, and perhaps that door was the way out.

Raiden then thought back to what the void said. Something about making a choice, picking a side. He never said what he was talking about though. So no one knew if this was part of it.

Nonetheless a strange voice creeped through the door. It was definitely hostile.

Raiden was ready to fight or run, but he would not make the first move.

I watched all of my fellow gods and goddesses escape.

Well, there my plan goes...

There was no way I could defeat him alone.

I ran towards the hole that they all climbed down in. I hopped in, not even touching the ladder. I landed, feeling the shock go up my legs.

"Oww..." I muttered.

Inside the hole, I saw the redheaded girl, the blonde boy with the armor, and the brunette boy. I felt a wet substance on my converse, and I shuttered. I don't want to know what that is.

Inside the tunnel, it was damp, cold, and pitch black. I turned to the rest of the group.

"Let's go." I muttered.

Allison smiled a little at Jasper. It was dark in the hole, and she managed only barely to make out the figures of the people and recognize who they were. She was left tired since the excitement had died down a little, but she was still thankful she wasn't getting beaten up like a cyclops instead.

Jasper's eyes, though, his eyes were glowing. Allison didn't say anything, just looked at him in awe. Stranger things had happened. She really was beginning to enjoy this, it was like one of her books; only this was real. And instead of reading about the amazing things the characters did, she was doing amazing things.

It appeared that most everyone was in the hole with her, which made her glad, even though she knew that by the end of their journey, not everyone would be together as a group in the same sense as they were now.

SPLASH

Raiden had landed in some horrible smelling liquid. "Damn sewer" he yelled after which the others came climbing down as well. After a minute most of the others were in and were fumbling around in the dark. Just as Raiden began to power up one of the men asked for him to create some light.

With a quick movement of his hands Raiden created another ball of light and sent it forward so that it lit up a large section of the pipe network. Raiden smiled and looked towards the others, "My name is Raiden by the way." He told them his name because it would be easier for him to respond by his name instead of the name "Light."

When Raiden spoke he listened as others introduced themselves.

"My name is Raiden by the way." The boy with curly brown hair said.

I scraped some of the liquid off my feet by scraping it on the wall.

"Stella Donville, Deity of Air, Beauty, and Weather." I said, cheery.

I flipped my hair around my neck, putting it into a sidewind again. Raiden lit up the tunnel again, and I walked down in large, what looked like a sewer. The pitch black surrounded me, almost swallowing me. With only Raiden's light, I couldn't see much.

((Sorry for the shortness, I don't know what to add. :P))

The others one by one dropped down the hole, Asper followed cautiously. He jumped through the hole landing in the most foul stench he could imagine. "My name is Raiden by the way." One of the boys said, "Stella Donville, Deity of Air, Beauty, and Weather." Another girl said cheerfully. Asper said loudly so that they could all hear him, "I am Asper Alissarian, Deity of the Cosmos and the Astral Plane." He didn't expect any of them to know of the Astral, but it would be easier to work together once they knew each others names and fields of power.

“Just call me Lucas.” He said bluntly, shuffling down the narrow corridor. “God of Time and History...apparently.” He turned to Stella “Air beauty and weather? Didn’t expect that...” Lucas shrugged “Not after you lined yourself up with the front liners up there. Thought beauty and air would be a little less willing to get her hands dirty...”

Sounds of battle could be heard above them, the sewer shook a little. Lucas eyes the place nervously. “I wonder how stable this sewer is...”

Without warning Blake dropped down the hole, he looked out of control, crazy even. All of them stepped back, all of them except for Alison, who seemed to calm Blake. Lucas watched nervously, soon silence filled the sewer once more and Blake looked normal again. The sounds of creatures above them could still be heard. The sewer rattled.

This...is going to end badly.

He stepped forward from the crowd. “Yes, yes that was amazing. Hats off to our half sized hero again” he said with a nod towards Alison. He stood next to Blake, grabbed him by the shoulder and hoisted him to his feet. “But as the God Of Time, I really must point out this is the time to get the hell out of here! We can talk about our feelings and scowl at each other when we’re not being chased by Cyclops through a sewer!” Lucas looked down at his feet “Now there is a sentence I never thought I’d say.”
“Light boy, I mean – eh – Raidon, lead the way! And let’s be quick about it!” A large rock fell from the ceiling “I have a feeling we’re running out of time.”

Allison blushed, and stepped away from Blake. "My name is Allison Stone, Goddess of Peace, Growth, and Harmony." She hesitated a second, tucking a few loose strands of hair behind her ear. "Let's go." Allison felt a little more sure of herself now, but she still was nervous.

She waited for the others to lead the way, thoughts running wild. How do I keep doing that?

Allison shook her head free of those thoughts, knowing that now was the time to escape, not wonder about..well, whatever it was she had done. She looked at Blake once again, relieved that he was calmer now. He had seemed scary and in so much pain earlier.
