Backstage

Brianna laughed as she watched Chou freak out. Chou was the guitarist in the same band she was in. "Chill Chou. I didn't get caught. Do you know how much I pay for that stuff you just put in the sink?" she asked in a more serious tone. She wasn't too mad about losing a cigarette, especially since she had plenty more left in the pack. She didn't take it out and get another, knowing that Chou would just do the same to that one. It would also risk the whole pack. She looked away and then back at Chou with a smile. "So, how is your guitar playing coming along?"

Robert just nods. He noticed it and he noticed a several times before, that she seemed bruised. He also thinks about it from time to time especially when he sees it, but she would not tell him anything - he is sure in that point, even though he never asked.

"Do you know who might be... responsible?" He should tell his parents, that they should stop speaking german at house... Another thing he is sure to forget during the day now. He now has a very serious face, too.

Chou shoot her a look "I wont let my friend wither away like that!" she almost wanted to scream at her for that stupid idea "If you did get caught you would die! your a brainiac what were you thinking?" Chou hated it when people smoked especially friends "my guitars going good." Chou remembered how her aunt smoked and it set the whole house on fire "one little cigarette can kill you on little cigarette could set the world on fire."

Danielle laughed at Chou's exaggeration. "Oh please. As long as I have some control, I will be fine. If it makes my life shorter, that is better. Why would I want ot grow to be an old person with problems?" She looked at the door and wondered how she was going to get out of this conversation. Maybe it would be best to just go along with it and let it go. "Okay Chou, you win." she said and threw the pack in the trashcan. "I think it is lunch time now." she said with a smile.

Chou stared at the trash can then turned around "yeah I guess." she mumbled knowing she would just buy another pack and smoke more Chou ran out of the room. she didn't want to be at school she skipped lunch and went to Sammy the librarian at the school. "Sammy!" she yelled as she slammed her hands on the desk "I hat everything in this world!"

Danielle smiled and walked out of the bathroom. She went straight for her car and drove away. After driving for a few minutes down the road, she stopped in front of a liquor store. She got out of her car and walked in to buy a new pack of cigarettes. Did Chou really think she was going to stop smoking? It was an addiction. Her brain now craves the nicotine. She did want to control it though and prove that she can have better control over herself than others may think.
