One thing that binds us all together, is the Earth. We all came from it, and in the end, we'll go back to it
Sometimes, it's important to just sit back, and enjoy the sound of the trees growing, the grass whispering, and the feel of the world around you. Sometimes you just have to stop the rush

Physical Description: At 5'5, Alethea is averagely tall, and she has a slim, but curvy feminine figure that she will rarely put on show. Her hair is an irresistibly bright red, and tumbles free and natural down her back in a cascade of crimson. Her green eyes are reminiscent of shady forests, full of honesty, warmth, and a glint of teasing playfulness. Her skin is pale, but warm and flawless and soft, except for a single scar in the crook of her neck from an awkward fall as a child. It is little more than a silvery line, but it is more sensitive to touch than any other part of her body, and she shyly prefers to keep it covered, and not tell anyone.

Personality
Put briefly, Alethea is a complete free spirit. She is a wild and unbroken young woman who hates to feel confined and pressured. Despite that, Althea is a calm and quiet individual, with an aura of complete tranquility that puts even the most disturbed people to rest. She is soft and gentle, kind and, for the most part, nonjudgmental. Her anger is slow to build, but she does forgive easily in the face of true repentance. However, she will mete out her punishment without remorse if that is what she thinks is right. She is incredibly loving, and looks at those around her as if all are equal to her. But, Alethea is still human, and like any human, she loves music and dancing, and she loves to laugh. She loves to feel loved and cared for, but will meet that love with the unhindered love of her own. Alethea gravitates naturally to those similar to herself.

Power Cost(s): The cost of Alethea's power comes from the lifeforce of living beings, whether that be herself, local plant or wild life, or other humans. By taking that lifeforce, Alethea weakens the individual, and is able to weaken them to the point of death. Each living organism has it's own amount of lifeforce - for example a human will possess more than a small flower.
Weakness(es): By taking the lifeforce of other creatures, Alethea takes that force into herself, and then expels it. This creates feelings of nausea, dizziness, breathlessness, and headaches, which dramatically weaken Alethea physically. She can only continue to use her powers as long as she can withstand these tolls, and there are sources of life around her for her to use.
Mr and Mrs Woodward had been trying to conceive for an innumerable amount of years, but had been unsuccessful. They were both getting on in their time, and it seemed that their hopes of a child were waning, and that was when a young girl arrived at their doorstep, with a bloody bundle of rags clutched protectively to her chest. Mr and Mrs Woodward took in both children, and for three days, sat by the side of the lonely young woman, until she finally passed away, quietly in the dead of night. This posed a problem to the Woodwards, who were now left with a child on their hands, but it wasnât a difficult decision to make. Thanking the good God for blessing them with the child they were incapable of conceiving, Mr and Mrs Woodward took in the child, who had been named Alethea by her late mother. They raised Alethea as their own.
Alethea grew up on the dirt and soil of her adopted parentsâ farm. If she had been elsewhere, she may have been a lonely child, but from her youngest days, Alethea found companionship in the animalâs on the farm. It wasnât a large farm â there were just some goats, some chickens and sheep, a couple of cows and some chickens, and a horse, as well as a few acres of land for crops â but Alethea loved each animal as she would have loved a true friend. Mr and Mrs Woodward doted upon her, and although she certainly wasnât spoiled, Alethea was never unhappy.
Like all children, Alethea attended school. Her day started by feeding the chickens and having breakfast, before being driven their by her loving daddy. She made friends, and for all intents and purposes, lived a happy life. Not once did she hear from her biological father, and it wasnât until she was thirteen that she was told about her true mother.
Among the usual gifts and treats that befit a childâs birthday, Alethea was given one single extra gift. It was a simple silver necklace, and it was then that Mr and Mrs Woodward explained to Alethea about her mother. Heartbroken and sickened, Alethea felt as though her entire world had been fractured, and she did the first thing that she thought of. Alethea ran. She stayed for three days in the nearby forest before shakily returning hope. After that single episode, Alethea changed. She was calmer, quieter, and more reserved. But she dutifully grew up on the farm, received her education, and in time, she forgave her parents for the lie.
