Personality: Dr. Robotnik has a goal of world domination, just as any main antagonist would have. He is extremely intelligent, which he puts into good use. Though he is smart, his hate for Sonic can cause him to act rashly, and do bad decisions. He is very demanding, and strict, and he will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. However, if the safety of the world is at stake, and he has no choice, he will help stop it, temporarily. He often comes across power too great for his own control, which often "bites back at him". Though Shadow may often fight against him at times, he still trusts him, mostly because he is his grandfather's creation, a creation of Dr. Gerald Robotnik. She also trusts Rouge almost as much. He thinks of all robots as lower servants to him, but anything of power he comes across, he assists, like Chaos. He will do anything to crush Sonic under his feet and his ultimate goal is to create a mechanical palace he can rule by, namely, Eggman Land.
Ability: He has an IQ of 300, and is an expert in mechanics, so he often makes machines he pilots, or robots to fight for him.
History: Dr. Ivo Robotnik's childhood hero was his grandfather, Professor Gerald Robotnik. Seeing him as wrongfully exacuted, he grew up to be a scientist to get his revenge on the government, however, soon, he became interested in world domination. Somewhere along the way, he met Sonic, who became a rival to Eggman, and Eggman, seeing Sonic's resolve is as powerful as his own, thought of him as a rightful rival to him.
Dr. Eggman often creates robots and machines to assist him, but he seems to team up with powerful beings whenever he finds them, as he did when he learned about Chaos or Shadow. He had once created a huge space station called the Death Egg, but which was destroyed and fell to the ground, but caused Angel Island to crash into the sea. He tricked Knuckles into fighting Sonic and Tails, but Knuckles soon went against Eggman as well. As for the Chaos incident, Eggman had come across ancient documents, speaking of a God of Destruction known as Chaos, and it was sealed in the Master Emerald. Eggman destroyed the Master Emerald, created the first 6 E-100 robots (ZERO was actually also called E-100 Alpha), created a base in the Mystic Ruins called the Final Egg, created the Egg Carrier, and even a backup, and constructed an empire of robots, and if all that went wrong, he even had a Nuclear Missle. He fed Chaos the Chaos Emeralds to make him stronger, but in the end, all of that he created was defeated. However, Chaos wasn't dead yet, he stole all the Chaos Emeralds and flooded Station Square. Eggman tried to use his Backup Egg Carrier to stop it, but it was shot down easily. Eggman was able to see Chaos being defeated by Sonic. So, some time later, anothee approach was taken.
Dr. Eggman had come across his grandfather's journal, and had learned of a weapon being held in a G.U.N base known as Prison Island. Eggman broke in and awakened Shadow the Hedgehog. When requested by him to find the Chaos Emeralds and bring them to him at the Space Colony ARK, he did exactly so. Of course, Sonic and his friends were eager to interfere. Dr. Eggman had met Rouge, who promised to get him the Chaos Emeralds, so Eggman decided to trust her and let her join him and Shadow. Eggman, Shadow, and Rouge attacked and snuck into a G.U.N base to get three Chaos Emeralds, and though Sonic and co. interfered, they still managed to get the Chaos Emeralds along with blowing the entire base up. At this point, he had six Chaos Emeralds, durring which he demanded the President to bow down to the Eggman Empire, or else he would blow up the entire country. To prove his power, he blew up half of the moon in demonstration. Sonic and Co. were able to board the ship, with 1 chaos emerald, Sonic's mission being was to plant a fake chaos emerald bomb into the ARK's cannon. Eggman caught him and knowing he had a fake emerald, set Sonic into a trap, tossing him into a capsule and sending him into space, where the capsul blew up, and Eggman thought Sonic was dead. However, after a fight with Tails, Sonic was proven to be alive and blew up the cannon. Yet, after this, the dying will of Professor Gerald Robotnik played, saying that the Space Colony ARK would collide with Mobius/Earth, wiping out all life. Eggman showed Sonic and Co. Gerald's journal, and showed them where they could deactivate the Chaos Emerald's power fueling the base. After Sonic and Shadow turned Super and stopped the Space Colony ARK, Dr. Eggman had managed to escape, but he was aware of Shadow's supposed Death.
As of now, Dr. Robotnik is in a base on an island, plotting his next move. The island is small, and likely artificially created, but it is cloaked by trees, tall grasses and rocks. It is near land, but near a clift. Most of the base is underwater. Dr. Robotnik is running out of options, however, there is one Eggman is considering turning to.
