Personality: Nathan is the quieter type, usually holding everything in until he explodesālashing out at anyone in his path. When he gets drunkā¦well, thatās another matter entirely. He becomes a whimsical mess of sarcasm, optimism, chuckles, outgoing behavior, etc. Unless, of course, heās pissed or upset. Then heās easily agitated, aggressive, blunt, and something of an asshole. When heās upset, heās just a quiet drunk. Heās a nice guy to most, neurotic, has major self-esteem and anger issues.
Basic Background/History:
Nathan has lived two very different lifestyles. His dad was a big time lawyer, coming from a long family line, living in a big ass house with a pool, perfect lawn, food network kitchen, and all those extras. He was a married man, happily with his barren Victoria Secret Barbie wife. That wasnāt Nathanās mother, though. His mother was the mistress. Or, more accurately, a whore with a regular customer. Yeah.
Well, she had an idea and purposely got herself pregnant. She blackmailed him and took him to court, gaining child support and a shared custody agreement. Yep, she was living good. Nathan wasnāt, though.
His mom physically neglected him from the start, spending all her cash on hallucinogens and leaving to do her ājob.ā He wasnāt fed enough and her milk was laced with her drugs, screwing him over pretty badly. After 2 years of that, he started going to his dadās house for two weeks every month. His dad allowed him to eat, but showed no affection. As he grew older his father would tell him āIāll never love youā to his face, emphasizing what a worthless piece of shit he was. His fatherās wife, the Barbie, didnāt want to leave her rich husband and channeled her anger to Nathan. She physically abused him, making him hide the cuts and bruises on threat of his life. He took her word for it, not knowing any better.
He went between the two houses. The mansion where he was hit and blasphemed and the trailer park where he fended for himself. When he was 7, his mom overdosed and died, leaving him in full custody of his father. Astonishingly, he stayed for years while his step-mom kept beating him more and more brutally. One day, he attacked her. After a certain series of events, she died because of his attack. He still hasn't quite got over it.
He was a problem child. He started cutting after a few years without abuse, and he started drinking at 10 when an old homeless guy told him it made you forget about your problems. On his 18th birthday, he set out on his own. 5 years later he works at a smoothie place and as a cashier at home depot. He lives in a small trailer much like his momās.
