Stereotype Game

Stereotype Game

0 INK

A group is forced together of all the different cliques in a last ditch effort to unite the school.

3,320 readers have visited Stereotype Game since Nykizta created it.

Introduction

Must read: IMPORTANT POST

Tigermont High School. Cliques everywhere. School yard is completely divided between groups and the principal is sick of it. In a last ditch effort to unite the school, the principal decides to create a group of students from the various groups. They'll meet for the first time this coming Saturday under the guise of a detention.

In the group, there's only a single student from each clique. Each student should be both the epitome of their stereotype, but unique and realistic. They are normal human beings. While fitting a stereotype, there's also gonna be things in the stereotype they prove wrong.

Also, all stereotypes need to be specific. No Nerd stereotype. No Prep stereotype. Get specific. Anime Nerd? Computer Geek? Rich Girl? Head Cheerleader?

Rules:
1. I'm going to refrain from putting the normal roleplaying rules, cause I expect anyone who joins to have the common sense as to know what those are.
2. You break my rules more than twice, you're out. Hell, if you break my rules more than once, I probably won't like ya much and will be staring at your posts like a hawk. But I don't expect to have any of those problems.
3. Be literate, please. Correct grammar, good punctuation, and a decent sized post. That's all I ask. Please keep it above 200 words per post.
4. Romance is fine. Hell, it's encouraged. But if it escalates past PG-13, take it out of the forums and into PMs, please.
5. This is sort of contained within the first post, but I wanted to make this clear;
NOT OK: Tanya jumped on Joshua, twisting his arm back and slamming him to the floor.
OK: Tanya jumped at Joshua, reaching for his arm as she attempted to put him into a hold and get him on the ground.
6. Mild violence is ok, but there really shouldn't be too much of it. This is a fun, character driven roleplay.
7. Keep your characters within your own stereotype. When I close the RP, you can have a little more freedom with that, but I'm not looking for a Computer Geek with killer fashion sense or Stoner who loves reading 400+ page novels. Like I said, when we have the stereotypes in the RP set, you'll have more freedom, but otherwise stick to your stereotype.
8. No more than 2 characters per person please. :)

Robin nodded "I see, your lucky I'm only a fourth Japanese on my dads side," she replied to Katrina, before glancing back at Honip "hmm... no one usually feels like talking to me..." Robin stated, one slender eyebrow raised, 4 people so far have talked to her... and amazingly one is a guy, this would prove to be an interesting detention.

Robin yawned, covering her mouth, before resting her head on the table, she stared at the wall boredly, her hair covering parts of her face again, she began wondering as to why people insisted on talking to her here, but not in the usual school environment... maybe because the rest of their usual stereotupe groups aren't here to judge them on who they talk to... did the principal plan this?

... 'if she did she's smarter then I thought'

At the sight of a cookie, Katrina's embarrassment faltered. She took it gratefully, munching on it through, "Konnichiwa and arigato Honip-sempai! I'm Katrina Westwood..."

She held out her gloved hand, shaking Honip's slightly while bowing quickly. "Oh yeah! Kabuki is theater with the really cool costumes, and No are those long musicals, ne?" Katrina finally returned to her manga. After scanning the page and taking note of the number, she carefully closed it and slipped it away into her chibi-covered Tokidoki bag.

Turning back to Robin, Katrina cheered, "Really? Have you ever been to Japan?"

Robin blinked at the cookie, deep within her heart she felt a longing to have one of her own... she shook her head, 'damn my obsession with sweet things,' she thought bitterly, "yes, I have been to Japan, as well as Australia, Russia, England, China and Korea," Robin stated boredly, her family was quite rich, not that many people knew that "I think we're going to Spain this year," she added thoughtfully

A short time later she added "and just when in the hell is the principal gonna get here?" she added

Meanwhile~

The principal looked up at the side of the building, "*legasp*" she gasped, "its the bat signal!" she exclaimed before running into a janiters closet and emerging in a fullblown batman outfit. She then got into her black-van-o-doom and zoomed away into the city.

Reality~

Robin suddenly sat bolt upright, before shaking her head and resting it back on the table, "that's the last time I'm gonna fall asleep in detention..." she mumbled into the wood.

Honip's dramatic introduction brought no reaction from Matt. Almost asleep, he didn't stir until his hearing picked up a word it was well-trained in listening for - probably more so than his own name.
Leaving his backpack, he slipped out of his chair and under the table. Some stealthy scurrying later, his mess of dark hair warily rose from the edge of the most crowded table where Katrina, Nia, Robin, and Honip now sat. His weary eyes, encased in dark circles, followed the cookie that had been tossed onto the table as it was picked up and nibbled on by Katrina. He was so quiet and his movement so languid some may not even notice him; which happened a lot. Matt could be quite startling because of it.

~

"Wow, really?" Then Nia frowned. "Nothing better to do..? That's terrible! There's so much fun stuff in the world to do besides brush your hair!" She laughed. "We should hang out sometime, I know a lot of cool places you might like." Robin turned away then, gazing over at Matt again. Her brow furrowed slightly as if with concentration. Nia blinked, but smiled faintly. She must really like him.

Then a boy made a flamboyant entrance, wearing a Guy Fawkes mask and reciting a line from V for Vendetta. It must be that theater kid, Honip. He could be a little over the top sometimes, but he was pretty neat. Nia wished she had acting skill; but she didn't have the memory to remember lines. When finished with his monologue, Honip calmed down, removing his mask and approaching to sit at their table. It wasn't long before he struck up conversation with Robin, who was also talking to Katrina. My goodness, we've really made Robin into the social butterfly today, she thought, smiling.
Then movement caught her eye. Messy, black-brown hair had popped up from the edge of the table by Robin. Through the curtain of hair she could barely make out a dark eye that was quite intently focused on the cookie in Katrina's hand. Blinking, Nia glanced over at where Matt had been... Only his bag was there. "Looks like our table is getting pretty popular." She laughed.

Robin looked at Nia, "I think I'll pass... not to fond of new places or... large groups..." Robin said, slowing down the last part and looking at the ironicly large group forming around her.

Robin squeaked in the way she usually did when frightened and fell off her chair, she frowned at the person who appeared, silently beside her, it was Matt, Robin's frown turned into her usual blank expression. This was all getting to be a bit to much, first there was one and now there are 4 or 5 people around her, not to mention Matt and the loud drama kid...

Robin clutched her forehead and got up, looking around, 'empty table, empty table, empty table,' she repeated in her mind, seeing none she sighed and sat down again, she reached into her bag and pulled out a muffin, this was all she had to eat today, not that she couldn't of gotten something else, she just couldn't be bothered... simple as that.

Katrina kept nibbling on the cookie, only seeing a head of dark hair after she finished it. She blinked twice, realizing that he had wanted the sweet. "Oh! Sorry Matt-san..." Katrina looked slightly sad. She brightened suddenly, continuing, "Do you like Pocky?"

Without waiting for a reply, she reached deep into her bag and pulled out a red box full of chocolate pocky. Katrina had run out of her usual confectioneries when she had to bribe some street gang on her way to school last night. As strange as she was, she was bound to attract all sorts of attention. But yet this Matt was so...unnoticeable. Katrina would've usually seen him. She shook her head of these thoughts, then looked back at him, placing the box in front of him. "Do you want some?"

Honip looked at the box, which clearly had some form of chocolate, muttering. "I sure wouldn't mind..." He looked at robin, silently nibbling her muffin. She looked somehow sad... He dug into his pocket, and pulled out another cookie. Several, actually. He held them out to her. "Oreo? Sugar cookie? Thin, frigging mint? I've got good stuff here." He held them closer, expectantly. "You know of course, that you are unbearably pretty. I may fall in love with you by seven o'clock." He shook his head, trying to stop talking in character. "No offense Katrina...san." He awkwardly tried using the phrase. He looked back at Robin, embarrassed. "Really, though, you are quite beautiful..." He blinked, blushing slightly. You'll do fine, man. Just pretend you're still acting. World's a stage and all that, yeah? Slowly, the blush faded. "So, want the cookies?" He looked at the kid staring at Katrina. "Oh, and I suppose I better give him one too." He tossed an Oreo his way, wondering if he would catch it in his hand or mouth.

Robin looked at the box of pocky, she did indeed love pocky, but she was focused on her muffin, of course Matt would come over here, there are cookies, muffins and pocky over here, who doesn't want to come over now?

Robin blinked at Honip's offer and blinked several more times at his statement, she didn't know if he had fallen into character or was speaking truthfully, she guessed it was option A. She thought for a moment and took an oreo, putting it in her bag, she then broke off a peice of her muffin and held it out to him.

Matt seems oblivious to his effect on Robin, even as she falls out of her chair. He has tunnel vision aimed at the cookie in Katrina's hand that is nearly gone now. She notices him looking, though, and offers something else. Pocky... Cracker sticks covered in chocolate, very addicting. A dangerous offer but certainly not one Matt was going to pass up - not that he ever passed up offers of sweets. His white-gloved hand darts out from under the table to grasp the box of pocky set before him and pull it closer protectively. He sniffs it, enjoying its heavy scent of chocolate before beginning to pick it open.
The theater guy then pulls out a whole handful of assorted cookies, drawing Matt's eyes away from his trophy. Honip acknowledges this and tosses a cookie his way. Matt catches it in his teeth as expertly as a dog catching a frisbee; the cookie is quickly inhaled. Though his gaze lingers on the remaining cookies, he resumes work on opening his box of pocky.

~

The raver frowns. "Ohh, they wouldn't have to be crowded. I know of some really peaceful, secluded spots, too." Then Robin notices Matt, emitting a startled squeak and falling out of her chair. Nia can't suppress a giggle. When the girl gets back in her chair she looks flustered and stands up to leave, but looking around she soon sits back down. Nia frowned. "Aww, we're not that bad, are we Robin..?"
She watches Honip offer his ton of cookies to Robin, seemingly in character but Nia sees a sincerity in his pleading eyes. She smiles. Awwww. Too bad her heart seems to be elsewhere... She glanced at Matt, who now appeared to be focused on Honip's cookies despite the whole box of pocky pinned under his hand. Honip gives in and throws him a cookie, which he catches skillfully in his teeth. Nia blinks. "Wow." She smiles. "Hungry thing, aren't you? Don't you have any food at home..?" She extends her hand to pet Matt, further messing his dark, scruffy hair.

"This table is getting to be, like, an underground sugar trade." She laughed. "Might as well throw in my two cents!" Nia reached into one of the many pockets of her bag, pulling out a bag of Twizzlers and some Ring Pops to lay out on the table. "You can all have as many as you like, I've got plenty."

Johnny has been sitting in his corner for the last few minutes watching the girls trip over themselves with a sort of mixed look of disgust and curiosity. He brushes his nose quickly with his thumb and leans back in his chair, resting his dirty boots on a stack of books on the table, and crosses his arms behind his head as he gazes up at the ceiling. The thought of that Matt faggot choking to death on his food brings a large smile to Johnny's face and after savouring the thought for a moment he chuckles, causing him to sit back forward in his chair correctly. He quickly and subtly glances around the room to see that he hadn't brought attention to himself. After seeing that he had indeed did not bring attention to himself in a manner he did not desire he leans forward smugly, resting his arms on the table. This sucks. Johnny thinks to himself over and over again.

Robin looked at Nia "there are plently of peaceful and secluded at my home as well," she stated bluntly, not trying to seem cold or rude, "and no I do not wish to leave beacuse I don't like any of you, I just hate large groups," she replied, running her fingers threw her long hair, so it rested over her eye's, before once again resting her head on the table, forgetting about her half eaten muffin sitting on the table next to her.

She frowned noticing a guy on the other side of the room, grossy puting his feet on a pile of books, 'how could anyone disrespect books like that' she thought bitterly, if she had the courage she'd rip him a new one.

Katrina smiled quickly at Matt as he took the pocky, then returned to her manga. It was getting pretty crowded. It seemed forever ago wen the principal told her to get to the library. Where was she? Momentarily, she peaked up from her book to glance around. A large amount of sweets had piled up, and she momentarily giggled to herself. L would love it here. Of course, her favorite manga was Death Note, so it was incredibly hard not to relate sugar to him.
---
Kenny was quite tired of sitting by himself. Finally closing his notebook, his eyes wandered to a large table. He immediately pulled out his skateboard, skated the distance in a flash, and copped the nearest seat. The cliques weren't separated here, since all types seemed to have come together. Congregating to one table? There was probably some poetic reference in there, but he was to focused to notice. His social fulfillment was running extremely low. Flipping his dark hair that covered his left eye, Kenny looked around. A raver, the shy girl, that otaku, some drama kid, and hey-that odd guy had even come over. He had talked to a few of the people, but he knew their names.

"So," quiet as a whisper, despite his noisy arrival, "'I'm assuming there's a reason behind the candy?"

Robin glanced up at the new arrival, then at the table he had come from, 'now... theres an empty table,' she thought with a slight frown, 'but seeing as I forgot my book... it'd be boring... soo I guess I may as well stay here,' she thought breaking her gaze from the empty time to return her head to their own table, resting it in her bent elbow, letting her hair cover her face once more.

Re: [OOC] Stereotype Game

..... Good question. I really do like Ms.Tidwell there! :) Hope I am accepted... :P

Re: [OOC] Stereotype Game

Hi...and greetings litria, I didn't realize that was you for a while! Long time no see. Also, I give my seal of approval to both of the above stereotypes, what do you guys think? I figure a vote or at least some kind of consensus is in order?

Re: [OOC] Stereotype Game

Image
Name: Justin Daun
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Stereotype: Bi Kid
Appearance: Originally born with Brown hair, dyed it blonde to go with his eyes. His eyebrows are still brown. He has blue eyes.
Personality: He is somewhat of a horny kid. He makes out with as many people as he wants on a daily basis, be it both guys or girls. He first seduces them, then leaves them after their make out session is over. Not known to have lasting relationships, but that's how he rolls. He's a party animal, and you could find him at any major club or house party outside of school. He tends to lean towards his gay side, but when he gets with girls, he isn't displeased. Being Bi is more of a formality to his friends. Constantly harassed by homophobes. Doesn't care much for school, but gets by on C's or B's. The main thing in life that is his passion is performing. as long as he is the center of attention, he is cool with that.
Unique Quirk: Justin tends to flips his hair constantly. Every minute or so, he does it.
Brief Bio: Born February 6th, he has been living in a well-financed life. His dad died when he was 6, leaving him and his mom with a ton of life insurance payment. He doesn't see his mom around much, and decides to fuck it and ditch his house to go party. He has no siblings, getting almost everything he wants, when he wants it. He came out in his christian private school when he was surrounded by guys, and his sexual desires for girls were denied, leaving him with guys to go at.
Anything else we should know: Justin has been known to forget condoms every once in a while. He has joined the school late due to movie out of his last private school for "being gay" as the constant harassment by the religion kids forced him to leave

Re: [OOC] Stereotype Game

Name: Savannah Annebelle Tidwell
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Stereotype: Southern Girl :)
Appearance:
Image
With shoulder-length, baby blonde hair, ocean blue eyes, and ginger-colored skin, Savannah is your average Georgia girl. She is always sporting her homestate in some form or fashion, be it her Georgia Bulldogs hat or her "Ain't No Place Like ATL" hoodie, she's got the Southern girl spirit. She stands around 5'7" with an air of "Hell, I'm a good time!", and, well, that's just how she is. Beauty is hers, born with the Tidwell girl bossom and the Grady girl figure, she's a fine little missy that any boy would like to have.
Personality: Savannah is fun; simple as that. Savannah is the girl who don't give a damn who you are, as long as you're nice to her and you don't smell like cow fields, she'd invite you a party and spend the evening introducing you to everyone. :) She is an utter and true friend, one who'll defend you to the end, and stand by you if you believe in her. She wouldn't ever let someone give up on their dreams, even if it was as stupid as hell; as long as you had the faith in yourself to do it. She is very supportive, encouraging and cheerful, being a wonderful person to partner with in a class assignment. She can wiggle a conversation out of anyone, no matter how shy they are, and can make people feel like they belong. She's also a wonderful singer; she won second in the high school talent show, and can play guitar better than half the goth-rocker boys at that school can.
Unique Quirk: Taps things when she's nervous, often smiles and giggles a lot in times of emergencies.
Brief Bio: Savannah hasn't really had anything totally dramatic happen in her life, besides the fact that her father and mother divorced when she was eleven. She hasn't lost contact with her father, in fact, she sees him at least every few months. Back in Georgia, one of her best friends got pregnant and depended on Savannah on keeping her secret and taking her to the doctor about it every few weeks.
Anything else we should know: Savannah is deathly afraid of spiders; if there's one near her, she'll jump up and run around screamin'.
Theme Song:She's Country-Jason Aldean
