Kyle is a tall and thin built guy. He used to be the small one in the family until his growth spurt around his 15th birthday. He is usually dressed in comfortable sweaters and comfy jeans. He does not care for brand clothing, he knows from experience that you can easily look through the façade. He does not have any scars or marks on his body except for his tattoo. He has a picture of a four leave clover on his right shoulder. His hair is usually a mess, whether it is on purpose or not.

Enhanced Vision (X-ray vision, Heat vision, Long range vision, perfect eye-hand coordination)
His powers come from his father, who has enhanced hearing instead of enhanced vision. His family on his fathers side never had any active gifts and Kyle is continuing this line. With his powers Kyle can obviously look through solid matter. He is not currently not able to look through more then one wall at the time, also he can not see through lead objects. With his X-ray vision he was the perfect person to assist the nurse of the school. He would be able to see broken bones and such, but due to his very sharp vision he can do more than that. From the conditions of someones bones he can see weak spots and previous fractures.
Aside from seeing like anyone else, he can also see heat signatures. Mostly he can use this to read body temperatures. Although he can switch this power on and off at all times, it is most useful during the night. Aside from body temperatures he is able to see anything that would be warmer or colder then its surroundings. He is able to combine his X-ray vision with his heat vision. In darkness and through heavy smoke, he would still be able to find his way.
Thirdly he has perfect vision, even on long range. This kind of makes him a sniper without a scope. He can see insects walking from 400 meters distance and is able to zoom in as if he is looking through binoculars. This gift is often called eagle eyes or Argus eyes after the Greek hero. The extend use of concentrating on far distances will give Kyle severe headaches that will last for about half as long as he looks in the far distance.
Lastly he has a perfect eye-hand coordination. He has mostly shown this shooting bow and arrow, his accuracy would put Robin Hood to shame. It also helps him in sports like basketball and baseball. And you should think twice before starting a game of darts with this Irishman.
Personality:
As a kid Kyle had a lot of personality traits that could be traced back to his mother. A happy, bubbly and care free attitude as they lived in seclusion. The happy relationship of his parents made for a very happy household. This changed drastically when his mother left to join the underground movement. Aside from his parents being apart, the tension in the house could be felt. He only saw his mom twice after that and both times his parents had started fighting.
Afer his moms death and their long way to where they now live Kyle's state of mind changed. He wants revenge. Revenge for the death of his mother and the broken spirit of his father. Ordinaries should either leave them alone or should simply die. If he would have had an active power like Declan he would cause mayhem to the towns around them. And that would only be the start. But with his passive power he couldn't do much. Instead he suffers in silence.
When he arrived in town he had made friends, many of them are still in his school. But the stories about his father, the strange hermit of this town, made him cut ties with pretty much anyone. In school he is quiet, does his wok, but not more then that. Although most people might not see it, Kyle is a great care giver. He takes care of everything in the house, as his father doesn't do anything. He cleans, cooks and even tries to earn money so they can buy food. He took a job with the school nurse, where his X-ray vision could be of great use.
Kyle greatly enjoys his times in solitude on some of the great hights of Sol. Whether it be the church tower or one of the higer places in school. He doesn't understand how so many people in the world can be affraid of heights. With his powers he can get great perspective. He sees all animals because of his heat vision, and also with his long range vision he can see very clearly over great distances. It is these places that he would like to keep secret, or maybe share it with one other person.
History:
Kyle was born in Ireland, in the Wicklow Mountains to be precise. Being an only child of two loving parents in a wide and spacious area he grew up secluded. Friends were few and far away, but they lived happily. In Ireland the war on the Breed had annihilated most of the 'freaks'. Completely extinct could never be confirmed by a country that fought not only the Breed, but also amongst themselves in the never ending religious stand off. When one religion was in power the opposition would use the Breed as instigators of riots and for missions. When the other party was in power the situation was switched. The motivation for the Breed was the same every time, keep your loved ones save and try to keep your head attached to your body.
Around the beginning of the new Millennium the religious war in Ireland calmed down. Riots and acts of terrorism were less frequent and the religious leaders started to work together. This was the moment for the Breed to go underground. Both parties were now ready for the complete extinction of the Breed and fighting for your life became a necessity even for the people in the safe Wicklow Mountains. Far removed family from his mothers side came to the house one day to ask for the help of Kyles parents. With two different opinions about what would be the best course of action he couple split up. Both were making decisions to keep their son safe, but while his father chose for defence and hiding, his mother chose that offence was the best defence.
She became a full fledged member of the underground resistance where a power like hers, lie detection, was of great use during interrogations. What was bound to happen eventually did. His mom was killed by a death squad shortly after the government had found the home base of the Breed in Ireland. The news broke Kyle's fathers heart, and staying in Ireland seemed to be an impossibility. With his fathers enhanced hearing and the young Kyle's enhanced vision they were able to sty out of harms way and eventually found their way to the United States.
For a year they moved from town to town, staying under any ones radar. Stories existed of a town where a member of the Breed would be safe, but a secret like that is not easily found out. However it must help if you can hear a whisper from a mile away, since his father took Kyle to a small town in Maine where they were welcomed with open arms. Since then they have lived in the small town. After finding a safe place for his son, Kyle's father spirit finally broke over the loss of his beloved wife. The happy grin that Kyle was so used to was gone, and his father didn't make any other connections in the small town. If Kyle wanted to bring over friends, his father would forbid it and slowly but surely over the last few years his father became known as the town hermit. Kyle himself started in the local school and initially made friends. But now that Kyle is his fathers only contact, he also lives more secluded and hardly talks to the other kids.
