Powers
Paige is a technopath, which means she is a wielder of technology manipulation. Her bond between anything that is considered 'technology' is so strong, that she can control machines, computers, appliances, and many other things as if they were puppets. Most people think that this is only limited to things like cell phones and computers, but it expands much farther than that. She can manipulate vehicles, weapons, lighting systems, robots, and anything that uses the power of electricity or batteries. Technology manipulation works if the user can interpret and generate electronic signals. Paige can do just that.
Technokinesis is also a slight form of telekinesis, so with her power, Paige can make metal parts move into a certain device within seconds. She can manipulate data, as well as electronic and digital objects. She can also build gadgets with far better function in terms of mechanical science. For example, she can create multi-functional weapons, as well as weapons deemed as 'impossible' to create. (Like heat rays and plasma guns) As a technopath, she makes for a great hacker and can easily get data that is locked away online or on any electronic device. Due to her technokinesis, there are some things in life that Paige doesn't need. (For example, she doesn't need a mouse or a keyboard for her computer, and there's no point in having keys, a gas pedal, or even a steering wheel on her car) Living in the twenty-first century, where everything is growing and changing, has brought more possibilities to technology manipulators like Paige than ever before.
Weakness
- Paige must be in generally close proximity to an electronic device in order to control it. She can't manipulate something that is miles away.
- Rural areas, where technology is sparse, are natural weak spots for Paige.
- Power outages tend to be a problem for her as well. (However, if she can fix the source of the problem or create a generator, she is fine)
- She cannot use her technokinesis on diamond, as well as pure platinum. So for example, if she was trying to create something that needed diamonds or pieces of platinum, she'd have to manually install them onto an object rather than simply moving them into the position she wants with her mind.
- Paige must be aware of her emotions. If she experiences severe rage, she can accidentally cause the destruction and manipulation of technology without knowing it. This is how her grandfather's life was claimed during an incident in a factory.
Strengths
- It's no doubt that Paige has an amazing mind for her age. Instead of simply just moving her hand over an object to create what she wants, she spends her time studying and understanding mechanics. This is partially due to her upbringing, as well as her simple curiosity. Her intelligence also adds to her creativity, and ability to make outstanding innovations and purposeful inventions.
- Although not as talented as other students with superhuman abilities, Paige has been trained in offensive kickboxing from a close friend, and can defend herself rather well to say the least.
- Even without her powers, she is a pretty good online gamer. She prefers PC gaming rather than console gaming, particularly because she gets to build her own computer instead of paying money for a pre-made device.
- With a dad who's hobby is hunting, Paige has been taught how to sharpshoot. This skill comes in handy when creating and manipulating weapons.
- As a DJ, Paige has remarkable stage presence, as well as a good taste in music. She is able to create her own pieces of music with ease, and is not a bad singer herself. (However, she'd never show her singing capabilities in front of the school in a play or talent show.)
- Due to her technokinesis, she tends to take really nice photos and cinematography, the reason why she's on both Yearbook committee, as well as the school's media arts program.
Flaws
- Although she can handle herself when it comes to kickboxing and shooting, Paige isn't the greatest when it comes to sports and physical activities. She tries, and she can actually do good at sports, but she really won't make that much of a difference for the team she's on.
- Her tragic flaw is her naivite. Unless you give her a reason right away for her to distrust you, the generous and caring girl will put her faith in you right away.
- She's a terrible liar, as well as a flirter. When she attempts to tell a lie, her awkwardness seeps through, and she is caught right away.
- Although she is caring, she is the classic deadpan snarker. Highly emotional people sometimes can't take her humor.
Personality
With her trendy, edgy, and ecstatic style, (as well as her stage presence when she DJs for a living) one would expect that Paige is a rather energetic and wild personality. This is not true. Paige, while always being a moderately optimistic and upbeat girl, is more mellow and down-to-earth than most of her family, as well as some of her friends. From her life experiences, she tends to be more introverted than extroverted. That's not to say she isn't extroverted at all. Paige is just a very single-minded person who closes up whenever she is stressed, or is tenaciously determined upon finishing her endeavors. Creative, as well as extremely intelligent in hard fields of study due to her upbringing and powers, she is considered very resourceful, and a valuable member of any team.
A very virtuous thing about Paige is that she seems to be remarkably understanding, and has a way with being able to talk to people. You can say that she is very versatile when it comes to making friends. However, despite this, Paige is normally seen to hang out with a close group of friends rather than a wide number of acquaintances. She is very careful, as well as compassionate. If there's one thing about her that you should know, it's that she'll never refuse an invitation from someone on her own, whether it be a party, or a cry for help. Another great thing about Paige is that she is remarkably humble. Although she's always trying to beat the clock when it comes to inventing new pieces of technology, she is truly happy with what she has and is content with where she is. She wouldn't ask for anything more.
Over the years, Paige has developed into a very honest woman. This can be a curse as well as a blessing. She isn't afraid to impose her views on things when she is around friends and family. (with strangers, it's a slightly different story) Also, influence from her friends has made her goofy humor turn more deadpan, snarky, and sarcastic. Although her humor is generally funny, at times, she can be snarky without really thinking about it. Paige is also known for making terrible first impressions. Because of her naivete and curiosity, she can be oblivious to people's true intentions until she really gets to know them. However, she can be cynical when people give her a reason to distrust them. Sometimes, she can be distrustful to the point of rudeness or intrusion. Another thing about Paige is that she doesn't really have a competitive side to her. On top of that, she doesn't seem to get furious with anger, either. This is mostly due to the fact that she has to be aware of her emotions, but even if she didn't have powers of technokinesis, Paige still claims that she wouldn't have much of a short-fused temper.

History
Paige was born to a famous engineer, and a superb member of the Navy. Because of this, she has had to spend most of her life traveling across the country. She never minded this, and always found it exciting to hear where the family would move next. However, she did find it daunting that she was unable to truly make friends, as traveling from place to place killed many of her newly-formed relationships. This is the reason why although Paige has many loyal and trusting friends, she can be single-minded at times, and turns to the comfort of technology in times of stress.
Due to her mother's expertise in engineering, as well as mechanics, Paige was always naturally interested in both fields. On top of this, she discovered she was a technopath at a ripe young age from her mother. While building new inventions, her mom would also teach her how to use her powers, as well as warning her of the dangers that came with them. Mrs. Johnson's father had also attained the power of technopathy, but due to his carelessness, he had himself killed in a factory accident.
As she grew into an adolescent, Paige started discovering more and more things besides mechanics. She became interested in music, and started creating her own. She also got into PC gaming, (as she enjoyed building computers from scratch) and grew to be quite good at many games. Her talents in video games led her to meet her long time friend, Hal Humble. After competing against each other, the two grew to become great online friends. They talked a lot over Skype, and as their relationship expanded, Hal repeatedly asked Paige when she was coming to Benjamin. She could never figure out a way to answer his question.
About six months after meeting Hal, Paige awoke to the sound of FBI agents pounding on her front door. They ended up going into her house and arresting her mother for robbery. Paige and her father were awfully confused, and investigated the situation to prove that the woman was innocent. Turns out, Mrs. Johnson used her powers of technokinesis to break into ATMs and steal sackfuls of cash. She had been committing these crimes for over ten years, but had never been caught due to leaving little to no evidence. Finding out her mother's true identity as a thief left Paige traumatized, so in order to cheer her up, her retired father decided to move the family one last time. This time, they'd be heading for Benjamin.
Getting to meet Hal face-to-face immediately brought Paige out of depression over her mother's arrest. With Hal's guidance, she easily fit in with the community of Benjamin. When Hal turned seventeen, he decided to reveal to Paige that he had the superhuman powers of enhanced speed. She, in turn, showed him her technopathy, and the two grew a closer bond with each other. He revealed to her the abandoned warehouse where students with advanced abilities gathered to battle and hang out, while also showing her how to offensively use her powers. Now, due to her prowess in her technopathy, Paige has managed to be ranked a secondary on the social hierarchy. (something she's never actually cared about) She is content with where she is on it, and is not really striving to go any higher.
Other
- Paige has a black cat named Sherry, despite the fact that she is allergic to cats.
- Similar to J.A.R.V.I.S. from Iron Man, Paige has an artificially intelligent computer assistant named Atlas who helps with her experiments and inventions.
- All of Paige's new inventions and gadgets are worked on in her garage. She does not put any of her advanced projects in any other parts of her house; not even her own room. This is to hide evidence of her technopathic abilities.
- She is known for her collection of headphones. She brings one pair with her to school every day.
- Unsurprisingly, Paige and Hal did try to grow a little more intimate relationship. However, it ended after one date. The two felt it was awkward to grow any romantic affiliations, as they view each other like siblings.
