The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 3 authors
Looks like he has his first prisoner....
Seconds before the smash, the ground below the pod burned and singed before it was even touched. The light of the fire that once surrounded the pod spread out in a wave as nothing stood to stop it. Then it hit.
Much of the metal shattered instantly, slowing the unconscious contents severely. The tube from within the pod smashed into the ground, annihilating itself, shattering the glass, and causing the contents to be thrown from the tube at the speed of a horses half gallop, while the top of the tube joined in annihilation.
Waking with his face covered in burnt matter, black as night, Sav awoke on the new world. Moving his arms to propel himself from the ground, Sav stood. His eyes moved about, from the waves of fire now reaching distant and blank areas, to the black, charred ground to the white outlines of his impact to the crater where something once was.
Sav quickly checked his belt. His pistol managed to survive and the molecular holobench was intact. The nano-bots, now fully awoken, displayed his current condition to his retina.

"Good enough." Sav spoke to himself as he began to walk away from the crater. As he took each step, more of the burned matter fell from his plastic, self adjusting uniform, which was a vibrant orange and blue color. His skin, changing as much as his uniform with every step, slowly turned darker as the melanin began mass internal production.
Gabo spread his wings and flew over to the tall creature, his breathing coming out in low rumbling growls. "Welcome to your new home... Sav." Gabo took in another deep breath and smiled with a wicked grin. "I am your new master here, you do as I say, and live as I wish you to live..." The beast's claws scraped against the nothingness on the ground below him. With a simple stomp a mass of colour spread, and soon large formations of rocks surrounded the new creature. "I know a lot about you... who you are, what you can do... I am the master here, you are the pawn... This is MY WORLD!" Another stomp and a larger platform appeared. The whiteness was soon consumed in colour. The world being shaped by his nasty claws. "We will have a lot of fun here..." Gabo growled. I will watch from afar, if you can reach that island over there... survive the obstacles, and the monsters... you will proceed. I will go easy on you for now..." The large purple dragon spread his wings and took off. Leaving the new prisoner alone in this silver world of rocks and trees.
Then Gabo flew off. In his wake, Gabo gave Sav many useful materials. Wood from trees in its natural form works well as both a fuel and a building material, but also provided good amounts of carbon, oxygen, and hydrogen. From carbon, strong building materials can be made, or when mixed with oxygen and hydrogen, super-fuels can be synthesized. Even carbon-nanotubes (CNT) can be made from carbon itself, giving it nearly infinite applications. Stone, on the other hand, was a hard to separate mix-mash of elements, namely light metals and non-metals. Sav would be lucky if a 1x1x1 meter's worth of stone gave him five micro-chips, assuming he could find.
Sav looked ahead. He could see the island that Gabo had mentioned, but Sav would not be able to do this on foot. No, he needed to bring back technologies from his times to handle this, the closest one being CNT tech. The trees provided much of what was needed for it, but it was still a challenge. How would he power the holobench long enough to make a full sized raft to cross the small body of water between him and the island? How would he gather more materials to improve his protection from the monsters Gabo spoke of? The first step to the answer was finding a place to stay.
Walking down the path of stone and trees, Sav found a cave large enough for him to begin setting up in. Within the moment of its discovery, the location of the cave was well noted in Sav's mind. He would have to make a map of some sort later.
With a place to settle chosen, Sav walked towards the densest portion of trees that he could see. Using his weight to snap the branches off of the trees, Sav quickly obtained enough to reach the maximum that he could carry in one load. As the night began to descend, Sav had 7 loads worth of sticks. Going back into his cave, Sav built a small fire and plugged his holobench into his pistol.
Throwing some sticks into the working area of the holobench, Sav assigned the machine its task, to create a CNT tripod to hold his pistol near, but not in, a fire.
"That should prove well..." Gabo almost felt bad that Sav would have to battle a pack of dire-wolves on his own, but Gabo was also sure that Sav could survive. Humans are weak, this creature seems stronger...
"Right..." he sighed, "Time to learn some more about this place and how I appeared here...."
"KYLE!" The monster Gabo spoke. "My name is Gabo and I am the ruler of this place! You have interfered with my plans and must pay!" The smoke and small flames curled over his maws and over his scally head. "Learn the rules of this place! This is your new home for a long time!" Gabo stomped his foot and another dire wolf appeared behind him. "You will soon learn what happens when you try to ruin my plans..." The last words were growled at almost a rumbling whisper. Gabo spread his wings and began to take off, "You are not alone... Kyle... remember that..."
"I'd prefer to be referred to as 'Whisper', Gabo." Kyle spoke, crossing his arms as he did so, "I don't get what kind of crap this is, so it would be nice if you explained this world to me. And stop threatening me with these damned animals."
"This is your prison, a world of random hell and endless torment! I do as I please and adapt as you do. You are to survive anyway you can. That is all I will tell you..." The dragon Gabo lifted back on his legs and slammed his tail into the ground causing a loud sound to rattle the world wound them. "Heh heh heh... Go to the island over there... past that great body of liquid. You will find answers there..." Gabo darted off into the night, leaving the dire wolf and Whisper behind.
As the fire crackled subtly, Sav began to enter a planning state of mind. In the dirt he wrote the words generator, simple metals, and boat, looking over them carefully. He looked up again, his pistol was about three quarters full now. The fire seemed to be working wonders for the recharge rate.
Then Sav began to feel a ringing in his ears and the onslaught of an invading headache threatening to take over his thoughts. This meant something was coming, but what? What could make that kind of noise? Then came the echos of the howls' hearing range. Sav knew that moment that whatever it was, it was a pack animal. He also knew one thing, if he stayed unprepared he could be the next meal.
Grabbing his pistol from the stand, Sav quickly armed his weapon. He surely wasn't going to use the weapon unless he had to, but he could never tell when he might have to. He also threw some extra fuel on the fire, in hopes that it may come to save him somehow if he were to get involved in something violent.
Hiding in one of the crevices within his cave, the darkness concealed Sav well, his skin being forced to a dark pigment. Two of the six massive wolves, standing at Sav's breast height, entered. They sniffed walking around the fire, slightly confused at the lack of a "foreign" smell.
Then one smelled Sav. Leaping at his position, the dire wolf had not foreseen Sav's willingness to lose an arm. With the arm in its mouth to block the wolf from killing Sav, a shot ripped through it. As the body fell limp over Sav, he hid within it, confusing the wolves who were trying to find a way to strike at him.
When they pushed the body off of Sav, a shot rang out, nearly removing the head from one as it fell limp. As the 4 remaining wolves prepared to jump, Sav neared the fire, the sticks within about a fourth aflame. When the next to jump launched itself, the burning stick was shoved into its chest with its own force.
Taking advantage of the pause of Sav trying to move the body away from him, the wolves moved into a much better positions. Or so they thought. With a short sideways roll, Sav fired into two of the wolves from behind the corpse as the last living one threw itself at its target, only to land in the fire pit. Sav stood in the center of the cave, the six bodies lying around him. Sitting down, he spoke to himself "A whole lot of fun."
"The more I know of this mysterious Sav..." Gabo paused for a moment as the flames and soot curled from his wretched maw, "The more I can make him bend to my will..." Gabo produced a monstrous laugh and turned on his rock. "Let them try and fight," he whispered once more, "Let them try...." Gabo's laugh echoed through the now dense growth that sprouted from nothingness.
