Description:
What do you imagine when you think of a centaur? A mythical creature with the head, arms and torso of a human and the legs of a horse? Wrong. A centaur isn't a creature of myths and they surely aren't a half-breed between humans and horses. It is an insult toward them and their kin to think so. With perfectly normal human parts, Chiron is a healthy and handsome centaur. His skin is healthily tanned with a touch of softness that often presents in the skin of a female. There is only a single scar on his entire body albeit that only scar is ugly. It locates on the left side of his chest, just slightly above his heart. It is a result of a spell gone right (Will be explained in the History). His height is average among his own kin and he has a nice body build - Muscular but not overly so, lean and his movements are fast, precise and decisive.
Chiron doesn't have the normal hair color of a centaur. Instead of brown or black, Chiron's hair (and fur) is silver. His hair is soft and reaches slightly passed his shoulders. It is very easy manageable and more often than not, Chiron let it fall free instead of tying it up. When he has to work or practice things, Chiron ties his hair into a loose pony tail so it won't affect his eyesight much. Speaking of eyes, Chiron's eyes are a startling green. They are clear and they reflect how he feels so much that if someone knows him well enough, his eyes will look like an opened book. When he flips into one of the other two darker personas, Chiron's eyes don't change much. They will only become much colder (in the emotionless persona case) and more violent (in the bloodthirsty persona case). However, they will still show people how he feels.
Chiron's voice is low but clear. He doesn't like to speak softly nor does he like to shout. His voice speaks commands and advises. When he changes into his emotionless persona, believe it or not, Chiron's voice actually becomes higher and softer. This time, it carries a logical touch in it. Undertaker's voice? He's insane, there's no other way to say it. Undertaker's voice is high-pitched. When listening to his voice, one doesn't have any doubts about his insanity. His laughter is scratchy and cruel. When he's in his 'Undertaker' mode, he usually laughs like this 'KukumahaHAHAHA' Needless to say, no one thinks he's sane. It also takes a lot of gut to approach him at that state.
Clothing Style:
Okay Some of you may have character with clothing that doesnât really MATCH the time period of this. That is okay. I would like for you to explain, in a paragraph (8 sentences at least) what they wear. Are they upper class? What do they wear? What material? How often is it washed? Are there holes and wear and tear in the fabric? Patched up with other cloths? I wanna know.

Chiron Thinirit
Nicknames:
Undertaker (don't call him this, unless you want him to flip out, of course), Chiron the honorable, Chiron the machine (he hates this nickname...especially when he is not in this persona), Flippy (A bit of an inner joke since he often flips and switches between three personas), Chiron (most commonly used)
Gender:
Male
Age:
20
Race:
Centaur
Sexuality:
Bisexual
Love Interest:
Chiron doesn't think about romantic relationship...ever. Many years ago, maybe yes but now, his only purpose, motivation is to revenge and take back what fate has taken from him. However, he is not emotionless and may still fall in love...though it will not be easy. He never cares much about the opposite or same gender but he likes people with strong will, good survival instinct who knows the true meaning of hard work, of blood and tears.
No second chances, I'm that sort of a man
Personality:
Chiron is a strange centaur, even among his own kin. He has a severe mental disorder that makes most people afraid of going near him. The humans call his mental disorder MPD (Short for Multiple Personality Disorder) And as such, his personality divides into three distinct people. One different from another as day and night. The first persona is his most commonly seen person - Chiron the calm. Why is he called that way? Well, it is very easy. This personality develops from the training and usual personality all centaurs have. Calm, collected and honorable. He fights fair and acts like a gentleman. He is polite and well-mannered to everyone, even to his enemies and people that he dislikes. He shows everyone the same amount of respect, holding the door for the person behind him, and always offers his help to everyone who seems to need it. He never raises his voice and he never swear, even if he is depressedly wants to do so. If he wants to criticize someone, he tends to use subtle or obvious jabs depend on the target and their intelligence. This Chiron is the ideal centaur and even if this calm persona of his still has flaws (he is too honorable to even fathom the ideas of cheating or fighting dirty. Too much of a gentleman, Chiron can't never raise his hand and hit a woman). This persona of Chiron is the 'good one' - the persona that contains all the positive emotions Chiron has.
The next persona is called Chiron the emotionless. This persona is triggered under great pressure and tends to appear whenever Chiron is under too much stress and/or when he realizes he can't rely on justice to save him all the time. This persona is usually a very reserved young man with a 'less than desirable' social interest. He doesn't like to talk to anyone, doesn't want to make friends, doesn't like finding a girlfriend or even someone to talk to. In short, he doesn't like any forms of humanly contact. He rarely speaks and when he actually does, his speeches are short, straight-to-the-point and curt, almost...rude. Since he doesn't really have that much experience when it comes to others, his speeches are somewhat inhuman as they are, most of the time, robotic and cold. He doesn't lie...ever and it is one of the reasons why he doesn't speak. He's afraid he will accidentally spill some secrets that he keeps all the time. He is a very good listener, mainly because he doesn't talk and therefore, he can sit for hours just listening to others' rants. He's very secretive and is currently keeping many secrets...of himself and of others. He's the kind that holds grudges for a long time but never really voices his thoughts. This Chiron specially hates 'second chances' and believes it will lead to nowhere. He's merciless, emotionless and hard as he can kill off others very easily without as much as a second thought. This persona, however, is not cruel and most deaths caused by his hands are either painless or so quick that the victims hardly feel anything. He doesn't believe mindless violence will solve anything but won't be hesitant to use it if he has to. He likes to use his head and seems to be always deep in thoughts. Another thing about him is that he never...ever gets angry. At least, this 'version' of him doesn't know the meaning of anger. Therefore, he doesn't get angry...but if he does, please be careful....really careful when dealing with him.
The next and final personality of Chiron is called Chiron the bloodthirsty beast or 'the Undertaker'. It is a fearsome personality and only triggered when Chiron kills someone with his own hands and/or has a lot of blood on his hands. This persona is created when Chiron himself is infected with the curse of the land (Will be explained more throughout in the History) While Chiron the kind is gentle and Chiron the emotionless is calm and calculated, The Undertaker is hot-headed, and impulsive. He yearns for attention of any kinds and he will probably do anything to get what he wants, regardless of how the others feel about his actions. He doesn't take insults kindly and is infamous for his cruel streaks which he repeatedly demonstrates through the means of torturing his enemies. Unlike the other two personas, kindness is not something in his dictionary and if he can, he will take hours to torture his enemies before killing them off. He's loud, obnoxious and shallow. He lacks of the calculated characteristic that Chiron the emotionless has or the honorable traits Chiron the kind has but he replaces it with sheer unpredictable moves. He's friendlier to everyone at this state but he still doesn't know much about humans' interactions which is why his actions may be out of bounds. He's energetic and always carries with him a childish yet cruel aura that can send chills into everyone's spine. Like Chiron the emotionless, he doesn't like 'second chances' and he's not the forgiving type, either. He has no real sense of immortality as he can do some actions that are so cruel many people shy away from. He and the other two personas have developed a link of some sorts and can talk to each other mentally or in some cases, cause headaches to each other. He normally isn't the one that interact but instead, hides deep inside Chiron, waiting for the perfect time to surface and more often than not, acts as the other two's adviser though both of them rarely listens to The Undertaker. Releasing The Undertaker is usually a choice of Chiron, he can do so whenever he wants but retreating back into Chiron's body is his other self's choice. Therefore, it is a risk of Chiron to release The Undertaker as he may not want to give back the body so Chiron can control.
Likes:
- â Practicing: Chiron, for the lack of better words, is a workaholic. He loves practicing things, learning new facts, having new skills so much that he's usually seen practicing new skills or skills that he's not proficient in yet. With this aspect of his personality comes a very big reward as well as price. He's very skilled in using both hands, a good swordsman, an okay blacksmith, an excellent swimmer and a decent cook. Of course, there're many other skills as well but he's still practicing them in order to be better at them. The price he has to pay for those skills is his physical strength or rather, the lack of it. Since he uses his time to better things so much, he almost never rests properly and in turn, it makes him have rather low stamina and his physical strength is medium at best. He frequently catches some kinds of illness and/or injuries himself while practicing something
â Helping people in need: True to his dominant persona, Chiron loves helping others in need. He isn't a goody two shoes and he doesn't help people because it will benefit him in the long run. He helps others because he wants to. It is a trait that makes people loves him and hates him at the same time. He will selflessly sacrifice himself if it means the others will be safe.
â Early mornings:
â Honorable acts:
â Dogs:
- â Blood: It doesn't matter whose blood is it, Chiron's other side will come to life the moment he sees blood and he really, really doesn't like others seeing that side of him. But, in the time of wars like this, it is unavoidable and therefore, like it or not, Chiron has to often shift into his other side. It leaves him with nightmares afterward but it is easy to understand consider how he acts when his other side takes over. He doesn't share it with anyone but he secretly fears his other side very much. He's afraid that it will take over him and he will never come back again.
â His alter egos:
â Failures:
â Being useless:
â Cheating:
- ⊠Atychiphobia: Fear of failures
⊠Aquaphobia: Fear of deep water
⊠Losing himself forever
On a cold day in the mid-winter, Chiron was born to the joy of his whole family and clan. He was the first born son and therefore, a heir by default. His parents were both nobles with his father as a knight and his mother as the second-born daughter of a rich and famous clan of centaurs. His parents blessed him with the name Chiron - the name of one of the greatest heroes of the centaurs. They expected him to become strong, famous and above all...a good and honorable person. They were supportive and good parents...still are until now. His father trained Chiron in the art of sword, how to become a warrior and a man. His mother, blessed her gentle soul, taught Chiron manners, History of the world, the ways of a gentleman and how to see the good in each person's soul. Chiron took what they taught him like a duck to the water and within a few years, at the tender age of 12, his reputation had risen to the point that he was soon among the most promising young centaurs of his kin, bringing joy and pride to his clan. That was the time when Chiron had truly been happy. No happiness lasted forever though and fate,
It had taken a while, a whole two years in fact, for Chiron to completely accept the fact that his Father had indeed died as an honorable centaur - his name was forever in the Memory Stone and for Chiron to love his little brother. Fortunately for Chiron, his clan was very supportive and they had helped him as well as his Mother in the time of need, slowly mending her mother's broken heart. However, they weren't very successful when it came to Chiron. Unbeknown to all of them, a tiny piece of Chiron's soul had broken and as a coping mechanism to his Father's death, Chiron the emotionless was born. At first, hearing a voice in his head, Chiron only brushed it off as 'the voice of logic'. Slowly, over the years, Chiron realized it wasn't his voice of logic- it was another piece of himself - a much colder, harder, unforgiving centaur - a centaur that Chiron himself would never be able to become. The major time of Chiron's teenager period was spent playing and teaching his little brother, practicing whenever he had free time and trying to convince himself that he wasn't crazy. It wasn't really a memorable or happy time. The only memorable event in his teenager years was when his Mother, had fully got over and come in terms with his father's death, married another centaur. It was a happy marriage and while Chiron didn't like his step father very much, still had to admit the man was worthy of his Mother's love. He was a fine centaur. With some traits so similar to his biological father that had Chiron frozen in shock several times, the man slowly won his own place in Chiron's heart. Chiron couldn't accept that though... he was afraid that by loving this man, he would forget his own Father. In a depressed move of a teenager centaur still full of angst and dramas, Chiron switched place with his alter ego for the first time.
It was the longest time he had switched with an alter ego, even to this day. He had switched with his emotionless side for a whole month. That, of course, worried his whole family and his stepfather a lot, so much that at the end of the month, the man had offered to end the marriage because he feared his actions had leaded to Chiron's current emotionless state. That statement had shocked Chiron to the core though and he had, after a lot of convincing, come back. Now, fully understood his stepfather as well as loving his family a lot more, Chiron was determined to make up for the time he had worried his family. As he was about to be sent to the battle field to fight for his kin, another disaster crashed down on Chiron's head as he, along with some other less lucky members of the centaur kin, was infected with the madness disease. He had shown signs of losing control of his actions, becoming a lot more violent and ruthless. Killing began to become just a fun game for Chiron. In the rare moment that he was in complete control of himself, Chiron felt ashamed. He had shamed not only himself but also his family and clan, tainting his Father's name in the mud. Because the centaurs were praised for having high mental stability, the fact that Chiron was insane meant that he was a failure. That simply couldn't happen. Unacceptable. To stop himself from completely going mad, Chiron had found a dark witch in the forest near his house. He had begged for a cure from the witch but she only shook her head. There was no cure for madness. However, there was a way to stop it, to prevent Chiron from becoming insane. Of course Chiron took it without question, the result of the spell was the scar above Chiron's heart as well as another persona. The witch didn't cure him from his disease, she simply cut up that piece of his soul and turned it into another persona. Chiron the Undertaker was born.
A few years later, the races came into a temporary truce. They each sent a member of their own kin to try and find the book. The centaurs, valued their own members, didn't know who they should send. Chiron volunteered. The elders agreed. The book was Chiron's last hope as well as his only cure for the madness that was eating away his mind. He needed to find it in order to take back what fate had taken away from him - his pride, his reputation, his...everything. And as Chiron began to pack his things and prepared to go on his suicide mission, one that was easy to begin but hard to finish, the centaur saw the storm clouds in the sky. The last battle was about to begin and Chiron would do everything in his power to ensure that this war would end once and for all so there wouldn't be any lives lost to this meaningless battle.
Other:
- ⣠Chiron has had the displeasure of meeting Serafina before the whole journey start. She had put the blame on him and accused him of stealing food while he was only trying to protect her from (according to his P.O.V) being attacked by a group of men. From then on, Chiron didn't like Serafina but his other self - Undertaker, found her attractive and fun. Chiron didn't know how fun could a person actually feel when they were questioned about stealing food like he had.
⣠Contradict to most belief, Chiron didn't like the rivalry between the races. He didn't hate any races or any specific members of each race even though he acknowledged the wrong deeds the Unseelie and Dragonkin had done in the past. However, his other selves, especially his emotionless self, hated these races. They frequently advise Chiron to try and fight them. Not that Chiron takes their advices, of course.
⣠The Undertaker has the habit of giving everyone nickname as well as joking cruelly. He call Chiron 'tight ass', his emotionless self 'Emo' and he himself 'Awesome'. He also likes to tell cruel jokes to anyone who is willing to listen and just generally tries to freak people out as much as possible
