A P P E A R A N C E ||Freya gets her height from her father and her curves from her mother. Her body is covered in scar tissue and lean muscle from her life as a part of the Tezarra people. Some days she rings her eyes with kohl. Some days she doesn't. It all depends on her mood. She'll paint her face for special occasions when it calls for it, but otherwise, it's mostly like kohl It brings out her eyes. She wears leather armor over tunics. The type of tunic depends on either her mood or the occasion. However, the blue one is her favorite. She wears her blonde hair in tight braids in the front but keeps her hair long as is the tradition for her people. These braids are oven woven together along with scraps of fabric or shards of beads or shell as a reminder of places traveled and events of her life.

-- Fidgets: Whether its twisting
Her hair, running her fingers along her fletching,
Sheâs constantly moving
-- Private pain: Sheâs a warrior.
Warriors donât share their pain. They endure it.

-- Combat: trained since birth
To fight, Freya is adept in most areas of combat.
Of all the combat skills she's obtained, her strongest--
by far-- is her archery.
-- Survival: just as she's been
trained in combat, she's also been trained to survive.
It's a necessary skill when you live off the land.
-- Singing: you wouldn't expect
it from someone who looks like Freya, but
she's a gifted singer. Her siren songs have lured
many to their doom and her dirges have moved
even more to tears.

-- Death: Even with their
strong faith, Freya struggles with the concept of
the afterlife. Even still, she'll fight until
the day she finds out on her own.
-- Destruction of her world: Sure,
most of the world could use a good wipe
and recreation, but so much of the positive
things about life would be changed and
rewritten. The world herself probably wouldn't
be able to handle it and everything
would be gone.

-- Arkyna: Technically, Freya
has an affinity for fire magic, but she doesn't like to
use it. She doesn't like magic that can destroy
and the healing magics are very difficult for her
to achieve. She can perform minor healing,
among other minor spells of different types, but
nothing spectacular,
-- Ettiquite: Freya is by
no means a lady. Because of her wild upbringing,
she doesn't exactly follow the standards
of classy individuals.
-- Knife throwing: of all
the combat skills she's been taught, knife
throwing is one that elludes her. It's something
with her wrist. She just can't snap it right.
Despite her fear of death Freya is vastly courageous. She may not seek Death out on her own, but she's willing to put her life on the line when it comes to those she cares about. Her firey personality and impulsiveness tends to get her into more trouble, and more fights, than she would like. She's quick to anger, but she's passionate. Her need to protect also gets her into a lot of trouble.
As mentioned previously, Freya doesn't like to share her pain. She's stoic and likes to keep things to herself. Both emotional and physical pain is something Freya keeps private. Freya is just a very private person and she doesn't share much about herself. Those manage to get her to open up typically mean something to her. Or they bug her until she shares.
You wouldn't know it by looking at her, but Freya often has a way with words. Thanks to the schooling provided by her mother, she learned to read and write both Tezrran and Kettian. She often sings songs in both languages and enjoys poetries and legends. Sheâs great at sharing her stories with the little ones and will often recite poetry to potential lovers. Her eloquence is a hidden gem that few outside her people get to witness.
While she knows how to use her words to get what she wants whether it's cutting, persuasive, or seductive, she can also be very blunt. When it comes to things sheâs indifferent about, she wonât sugarcoat or beat around the bush. Sheâll tell you exactly what sheâs thinking.
Freya was born to Tonas, the Chief of the Kett located Tezarra people and his beautiful wife Winope. She was raised a warrior first and a princess second. There wasnât much to being a Tezarra princess. Unlike the princesses of the kingdoms, the Tezarra cared little for etiquette and proper dressing. Honesty and respect were valued more than the politics of court. She wasnât expected to look a certain way or learn certain things. Instead, she was taught how to defend herself and her people. She was taught how to mend clothing and stitch minor wounds. (Healing talents were rare among her people so, unless it was necessary, they performed physical healing versus arkana) She was to act like a princess not in the docile, doe-eyed way. She was expected to be a leader and guide her people to victory and survival.
She had learned a lot growing up. She had learned languages (retained mostly her mother tongue and the common tongue). She learned different combat styles and how to resolve a skirmish. Her favorite thing, however, was archery. She was barely into her childhood by the time she learned to shoot. By the age of eight, she was out targeting her fatherâs most skilled archers. By twelve she was hitting impossible targets. Her weakness? Knife throwing. Using a bow and arrow means keeping your wrist straight, something she struggles with now when it comes to knife throwing. You have to snap your wrist. She tries, but isnât any good at it.
Her magic also manifested at a young age. She had set fires to tents in anger and bonfires roared into infernos when she was excited. There was an incident when she was twelve, she discovered how destructive her magic could be. Part of the forest was scorched and the land was reduced to ashes. All because she had tried to use it to protect her home from an enemy tribe. Her own people were scorched though none hold it against her. They knew they werenât the targets. However, she holds it against herself. Ever since she uses her magic sparingly.
The lives of the Tezarra people are pretty predictable. Sleep, eat, train, battle, sleep, celebrate, etc. It wasnât until the winter princess showed up that things started to change.
