Are Ruisha's Story

It was early evening in the Ports, the young satori was stood outside and watching the water flow in and out calmly in an endless symmetry that made her heart soar. It was a wonderful thing, the beauty of nature...never ceasing to amaze her, despite having 500+ years to enjoy it, it never took a break or became dull. With her hands placed behind her back, she took in a deep breath of the salt water, feeling the breeze against her hair.

Things were calm ever since she decided to travel off-world from Berngulsh. Because of all of the bloodshed and war that occurred on Berngulsh, even the less than peaceful atmosphere in other planets of interest were a welcome change and were still just peaceful enough for her to enjoy its solitude and serenity. She took one more deep breath, taking in the smell of the ocean as she relaxed her third eye, not sensing any thoughts other than her own at the current moment.

Are Ruisha 's third eye twitched awake once it noticed the thoughts of another within the immediate area. The mind reading wasn't something she did consciously, it was something which occurred when she wasn't trying to do it, a force of nature beyond her own immediate thoughts if you will. She turned her gaze to the school girl as she approached, and asked about seeing a large boat around? Are took a moment to think before shaking her head.

"Not off the top of my head. I mean...I only got here a bit ago, so. It's possible the boat you're looking for hasn't arrived yet." She tilted her head. "Are you waiting for one?"

Are Ruisha had an steely blank expression on her face, one of an icy cold demeanor with no real regard for Melody's tone or threats. Simply, Are stared her down with a disinterested and cool look. "I see...good to know." Once this was stated, she turned her back towards Melody and resumed her watching of the sea. Despite this act of seemingly being dismissive, it was more of a test...her reflexes were prepared to dodge or deflect with her own nodachi if she needed to, especially considering the tone of voice the girl was taking and the thoughts that came to her mind...Are had no idea why she was trying to do this, but playing along wouldn't help anyone.

"Go run along now, child."

Are Ruisha let out a heavy sigh as she half-turned back to look at Melody again, her stance she was taking and the tone of voice she was using...this girl was clearly mental to some degree. Either that or she was desperate to pick a fight. Still, Are chose not to tease her further and potentially push things over the edge into violence. She'd keep that being called a child bothered her in mind however, for use in battle.

"Very well...you are indeed seventeen then, and not a child. I am 516 years old, and was considered a child up until my 500th birthday. I already grew out of being bothered by being called that. I suppose you have not."

Her head tilted. "What do you wish to be called, then?"

Are Ruisha kept her near emotionless expression, perhaps as a safeguard against everything and making it appear that she was not bothered by any of what she was saying, or even considering it weird. This was on the contrary, she was most certainly finding Melody very strange and was increasingly becoming more cautious around her. Still, she maintained her 'polite' attitude for now.

"Very well...I am Are, Are Ruisha of the Black Fang. I'm here away from duty so I can explore and learn about other cultures...I didn't quite expect to come across someone like yourself though, Melody."

Are Ruisha raised an eyebrow briefly as Melody began giggling, not really paying much mind to the headphones. She didn't actually know what they were, and figured they were noise mufflers or something...maybe for those with sensitive hearing. She wasn't technologically adept. Still though, once Melody began making puns about her name she just shrugged.

"I see...is my name that amusing to you? I suppose it's only fair, considering what I called you earlier, that you'd respond this way." With that, she turned completely to face Melody. "Are you quite done?"

Are Ruisha shook her head when the question arose again regarding asking whether she was being called a child. "No. I'm stating that, it'd only make sense for you to be retaliatory after you went through such a ruckus after me calling you a child." She crossed her arms and tilted her head.

"Don't tell me you're going to freak out again about it...are you?"

Are Ruisha was taken aback for once, taking a small step back and looking more worried. Her hand moved back towards her weapon just in case and she took a more readied stance. "Are you...okay, Melody?" She took a step forwards with an eyebrow raised. "Do you need my help...?"

The Fem Scout exits the bus and tosses the driver...a shining yellow key. With a quick reload of her prized Scattergun, she set foot into the new area and looks around rather nonchalantly.

The bustling streets of Hayslem City were alive and well in this city, with all sorts of activity going on. Aliens, mystical creatures, the occasional spirit, robots, some draconoids, a few elves, a number of hobits and children, or un-children, or shapeshifters. But it was far more complicated then that. Robots that were wielding magic, elves with robotic prostetics, the city had a variety of different characters and shapes to it. And right here, this was the entrance to it all. Everyone and everything just seemed alive here, alive, interesting, and full of adventure to explore. Space ships, aircraft operated by magic, sailboats, all were making its way here.

IN addition, a vibrant amount of activity was on the newspapers and the news feeds, as another Sola Arkan concert was announced, the popular pop idol that was causing sensation across the nation. There were also still some followup reports on the latest investigation into the signs that indicated the awakening of a new Demon King, or the revival of an old one, as well as various traffic reports, immigration stats, and recent stock changes. Valkier industries was apparently producing a new line of robots that went on the market today, and Seldine Industries was working on a revolutionary magic formula that would help increase efficiency and portability.

"And I am telling you, the new XG63 Guitar will do wonders for the performance" Oza, or "Oz" by his friends, mentioned to his companion, who seemed to be wearing a rather thick cloak in daylight, almost like he was a vampire. But actually, he was Sola Arkan, the very pop idol mentioned in the news, trying not to draw attention to himself.

"I know, I know" Sola replied, keeping his voice down. "But I love my Nezerak 44. It was my first guitar, and I dont want to abandon it so easily".

"You are really sentimental over that, aren't you?"

Sola gave Oz a playful wink. "Its part of my charm. Now, I should probably get headed towards the beach soon. They want to do a whole bunch of shots. More exposed, the better. Apparently less is the new more, again".

"You know you love having fans and putting on a show".

"More in the theater then on the beach".

They seemed to be casually chatting as they were walking along, that they got a bit distracted and did not realize they were walking right towards some people.

The Fem Scout decided to cause a little mischief. She raised her scattergun up high and fired a shot into thee sky, the loud fire shattering anyone's quiet easily.

The moment that she did that, all of the nearby security around this transit area became alerted, and various civilians went and ducked for cover, or raised barriers, as several guards wearing power armor and carrying heavy weapons appeared.



They were armed in the latest of tech and software, and quickly surrounded the culprit.

"Attention Civilian! It is illegal to discharge firearms in public areas unlawfully! You will cease and decist at once, and you will pay the fine for such unlawful action!" one of them announced, as their weapons were locked and ready. Oza and Sola, who looked at this, decided to avoid involvement right now, given the danger of the situation.

The Fem Scout put her arms up in the air and put her weapon down. She wanted some action but fighting an entire batallion by herself wasn't something she was used to. "Alright alright geez. Call off the fuzz."

The Fem Scout nods, slightly uncomfortable. "Uh right...listen, I'm not really allowed to say my name otherwise Mann Co would be huntin' my ass down so just call me "The Scout." And...ain't ya a little too young for...whatever it is you're doin', pipsqueak?" she chuckled.

The Fem Scout growled. "I'm from Boston, alright?? If you've got a problem with me, big freakin deal. I'm just like that! Enough with all the death threats ok? Do ya want me to blast a hole in your skull? Just lay off, ok?" she shook her head once the blades disappeared and began to walk away, holstering her Scattergun and now pulling out a can of BONK! Atomic Punch, opening the top and taking a quick sip.

"I'm just bein' me. I'm a chick of action, none of that cutesy mushy crap."

Are Ruisha looks around confused before slinking away quietly...

Jay Null opens his comms, reaching out to the vessel he notices off his bow.

Is everything okay out there? Do you need a terrestrial assist?

he asked inquisitively.

Outside of orbit around the planet Terra.

A medium-sized ship, shaped like a triangle with a blunted end, moves slowly towards Terra and the space station above it. The shape and size of this ship may have been seen before, but this one in particular has never been witnessed by any Terran, or as a matter of fact, any species or beings besides the ones who had made it. If they were able to trace it's origins, then it would point to an unexplored area known generally as RA-619, and even more specifically the Glendathu system. The doesn't seem to be armed, and a scan for life would only turn up three humanoid beings.

The ship made no advances of any sort towards the planet or the station, and seemed to just be there. Watching. Peaceful, it seemed, and the crew had no intentions of attacking. But they were truly awestruck. In front of them was a culture, a sophisticated one, unseen to any of their people, and they didn't know how to feel about it. They were just awaiting orders at this point.
