Dawn’s Blade Those who are of pure heart and intents true for the world will find that the sword matches them perfectly. Once in proper hands, the sword erupts from the blade into a dazzling inferno that radiates divine glory for its new master. With a distinct set of enchantments, the sword will never leave its new master unless commanded too and will always be at its master side when it is called upon. If in a combative situation the sword's true powers take effect but only in direct sunlight as the wielder of Caledfwych will suddenly find himself reinforced with an armor of light leather or shinning steel plate armor. The appearance of the blade usually depends on the master of Caledfwych but if nothing comes to mind the blade will normally take on the appearance of a long sword of masterwork design and bare the image of a golden sun and several red opals.
Midday’s Curse To those who do not claim to be fighting for either the light or the darkness Bigsby grants his ultimate boon. Caledfwych grants the barred of its name a weapon more suited for leadership in all forms and ways. The blade takes on a somber look that only hides the fact that from the darkness light is born. The blade takes on the effect of being a mercurial weapon-making every swing feel heavy against the shields and armor of those who it is being used against but not to the wielder who feels as if they are using a sword that is as light as a feather. This blade does not supply the master with a magical boon of armor but instead grants the ability to step in and out of the shadows as if every dark path was a doorway to a brighter tomorrow. The blade itself will take on an appearance of a rapier with an adamant blade and a dark blue sapphire that seems to swirl with a shadowy figure deep within.
Dusk’s Cut For those that have allowed darkness to fill their hearts and claim their souls Caledfwych can be both a blessing and a curse. It is no longer a blade once it meets the wielder's grip but a spear that seems to radiate darkness akin to what most would consider being the great evil of this world. It is always hungry for the blood of its master's enemies. Due to this sometimes if the master is not of strong will they might fall prey to depraved acts such as murder and other crimes against humanity if the spear's will is not sated. Each day if the master does not kill someone Caledfwych might turn on them and try to take their life. The boon that it grants, however, is an almost unheard-of amount of knowledge that it grants it master in the arts of necromancy and divination. Besides that, if the Master of the weapon touches a corpse there is a chance that the dead will rise from their graves and become part of the undead menace that haunts parts of the multiverse.
Soulless Abound Caledfwich is by no means a weapon most would consider good, especially if they knew who created it, but it does try to offer a hand for those who are in desperate need of help and do not want to die on the spot. If its master wishes to live through a fight and things are looking bad they only need to ask Caledfwych to take part in their soul as payment in order to lend a much greater hand. When this exchange happens Caledfwych takes on the form of a human being surrounded in armor and radiating power. The now human-looking weapon can create multiple types of swords, axes, blades, and firearms from its own body and is able to stay in this form indefinitely until the day its master dies or wishes to pass on the weapon to someone else.
