"I'm the only one who can do sleight of hand, but that's how you do it sometimes." Chemo told Cryoface, getting up from his seat and heading to another group's table.

The Puerto Rican-Canadian soldier grabbed a drink from the table, annoying the man it belonged to. "You can't do that." The man said, "I have a gun." Chemo noted, "Carry on." The man said, defeated.

Chemo headed back to the table with the drink, holding a hand out to Taco. The other soldier dug into his medical bag, slipping out a bottle of pills. He twisted the cap off, pouring two into his palm before handing them to Chemo.

"It's like this. You wait until they aren't looking directly at you." Chemo said to Cryoface, showing the pills. He closed his hand and then opened it quickly, the pills were no longer there.

"Following?"

"A lot like that." Chemo told Cryoface, waving his hand over the drink he had sat down. The pills dropping into it, both of them disolving fairly quickly. "Those are just painkillers, but imagine if they weren't? This is why I take my drinks with me when I need to go to the bathroom."

"Alright, I'm going to let go of my end to open the door." Chemo told the other soldiers holding the crate with him. "Someone needs to compensate for me for about thirty seconds." He continued, "I see the kind of gun you use. You compensate enough." Taco joked.

"We use the same gun, ya' arsehole." Telford noted, "Well, Scotland sucks. England still owns you. America all day." Taco said, raising his hand for a high five. The crate almost falling thanks to Taco's antics.

"I swear to god, Matt. If you drop this on my feet..." A soldier warned.

"Look, we have to handle this crate with care. What's inside is very... fragile." Chemo informed Taco, "You can't fuck around." He said, "I can still disrespect other countries, right?" Taco asked, "Yeah, be my guess." Chemo answered.

"Canada sucks, Scotland sucks." Taco said, "New York is the best state in America, Brooklyn is the best place in this universe and the next." Taco rambled.

"I mean, sure, we have to deal with Puerto Ricans and Russian immigrants, but hey. At least we aren't Africa."

"I can see the brain cells of every person in this room dying." Telford said.

"Hey, Cryoface." Chemo called out, "Can you open the door to the storeroom?" Chemo asked, tilting his head towards the large metal crate he and several other Invictus soldiers were carrying.

"I don't trust these guys not to drop it as soon as I try to open the door and my arms are starting to kill me." Chemo told Cryoface.

"You're a witch, use your magic." A soldier told Chemo, "Warlock." Chemo noted, "My magic isn't for carrying things. It's for combat." Chemo informed the soldier.

The Invictus soldiers carried the crate into the storeroom. Letting their cargo sit in an environment where it would be safe and chilled as needed.

"We've done the most important job we've ever had." Taco said, "We carried a crate of Saint Patrick's themed ice cream into this freezer." Taco told the soldiers, "We've secured our place in heaven."

"Didn't we save children from a burning building the other day?" Telford asked, "The world could use less kids running around." Taco said, "That's pretty fucked up." Chemo noted.

"But, true." Taco added.

Chemo and the Invictus soldiers piled out of the storeroom, beginning their journey across the bar to join their comrades who were already seated.

The lone female of the group of soldiers, with the exception of Anodyne, Nina, sat with her legs up on the table she sat at. Her chair leaned back dangerously.

"Nothing major is going on." She said, "We don't really investigate, so that kidnapping stuff is of no help." She continued.

"We could always go vigilante. We'll be like a whole team of Batmans and Batwoman." Sandman said, "With The Ripper with us... Batmen, Batwoman and... silent Wonder Woman."

"I thought it would be rude to ask..." Vidal said, "But, what are you exactly?" The Mexican-American soldier asked Maria. "I heard someone say you were a Werewolf or something."

"It's the way some of us decide who's going to do something. It's called, by most people at least, Nose Goes." Chemo explained to Maria, "Whoever is last to leave their nose exposed loses and they have to go take care of the task at hand." Nina added.

"Lionel here is the loser." Preston said, pointing to the soldier who stood to go take everyone's orders from the bartender. "We've got Anodyne into swing of playing the game too, some of us were being assholes and tried to force her to do things."

Anodyne and her team stood on a street corner, flanked by the fans they had gained thanks to their part in Militia duty. Though, they had to admit it was only Anodyne that brought them attention. She was a real life superhero at this point.

"This is the Veritas, Team Ripper and any other available Invictus operatives, we have CCTV footage of an attack on the WCPD headquarters." Said a woman's voice into the communication devices of Team Ripper and any other Invictus who were wearing them or had them turned on.

"Respond immediately, we're contacting the NPA, other Militia and any other available police officers who may not be on the scene. Move quickly."

"You heard her, get in the vans. We have to go." Preston ordered, he and the team rushing towards their vehicles. Anodyne stood behind, looking in the direction of the WCPD headquarters. "Anodyne, come on. We're going." Chemo shouted to the woman as he got into a van.

It was then that Anodyne shot off into the sky, then towards the WCPD HQ.

"Holy shit..."

The message ran high and clear in his ears, and the man found it appropriate to follow it as quickly as he could. She had been located, and it took scarcely any time to get there.

He had descended from a rooftop, not far away, the red of the eye barely anything to take note of. The grav-boots allowed him to land silently.

The eye, the eye, it shuffled through settings as he looked around. He knew Team Ripper was not far behind, but he took no hesitation to getting to the door, body completely coated in a black substance, plus the armor. Most of which was for decency, and a sense of style.

He wasn't all that worried, regardless.

Kiro Takahama grasped his rifle and waited for the order, swallowing a moment. "Tennoheika Banzai." He said calmly, then he looked up, and an explosive charge was placed on the front door. The countdown began as two Tsunami Tanks pulled up in front of the station, along with a pair of Sudden Transports.

Four Tachikomas situated themselves along strategic points on the street, Imperial Warriors and Conscripts stacking up around the station, their movements drowned out by the four Jigabachi AV Attack Helicopters, armed with missile racks, and tail mounted 30mm Cannons.

"This is Jet Tengu 103, I've got a target inbound, I'm engaging now." The Pilot radioed, trying to get behind Anodyne.

"Tengu 103 weapons hold, we do not have clearance to engage Anyone but the target and their security."

The Jet Tengu got in behind her, but it did not open fire.

"Let the Terrans make the first move, this will justify inclusion of their world in our campaign to the Emperor."

Anodyne, finally showing off her new ability for her team, and probably everyone else, to see for the first time. She could fly. As the three vans that carried Team Ripper moved down the street Taco was busy being a fangirl in the back.

"She could fly. She could fucking fly. I've found my soulmate." Taco said, "Palmela won't be happy." Nina joked, "There is a Taiyou bird in the air." Chemo said, "Ready the cannon. Myself, Taco, Preston and Vidal will handle it." The Canadian soldier informed the others.

"How do you know it's a Taiyou bird?" Sandman asked, "Because I'm one of four people in here who reads the files we have in the giant library and computer database we have." Chemo responded.

"I would read them... but The Walking Dead started it's new season and I got sidetracked." Taco told Chemo.

"Are we really doing this now?" Vidal asked.

The Kaze no Tani initiated it's landing protocols, and began re-entry through the Atmosphere. The ship bucked and shook as the Commandant grasped the railing.

"Landing ETA, Five minutes." A White clad Lieutenant advised, as the ship bucked, shook and rattled. Those on the ground directly around the WCPD would hear a deafening series of booms, which would come dangerously close to shattering nearby windows. The massive Shokaku class carrier, the Kaze no Tani soared overhead in a brilliant fireball, lighting up the city below and throwing up Taiyou morale as they prepared their charge.

The Ship nearly clipped the top edge of several buildings before it came to rest within the lake, in a massive plume of water, steam, and an audible hiss of water. As the ship settled in it's landing spot, it's massive deck guns swiveled to bear direct aim on the WCPD Building, before a handful of Jet Tengu launched from the deck, followed by a squadron of A6M5 Reisen fighters, which circled the building with the Jigabachi attack helicopters.

"We're ready for bombardment." A lieutenant reported, and Ayako nodded.

"Batten down the hatches and prepare for close-proximity surface nuclear engagement."

NPA aircraft and vehicles began to crowd the area, more Invictus vehicles following them to the scene along with several helicopters. "That's Arya and her people." Preston said as he and several other members of the team carried a large RPG-like weapon.

The soldiers aimed the weapon upwards at the Taiyou helicopter, "This is Ripper-1, we're engaging all Taiyou forces at will. Holding fire is no longer an option." Preston said, seconds letter a beam of dark blue energy shot out from the weapon quickly at the helicopter Motoko had exited from earlier.

The beam seemed to distort the air with an intense heat as it moved, the mixture of energy and plasma attempting to overload any shielding the vehicle had until it breached to the hull to do any real damage.

As this went on and more combatants flooded the area Anodyne stayed stationary, watching the Taiyou spacecraft carefully.

Anodyne was probably crazy for facing off with the ship. Or cocky. Or stupid. Like a Rattlesnake she waited to strike at her prey.

Motoko Kusanagi stopped in her tracks at the sound of an explosion, the Major narrowed her eyes and then checked the Cybercomm.

"Commandant, the Militia and WCPD Agents have neutralized the Conscripts." She looked out and shook her head. "And they're shooting at our helicopters." She said, grabbing her C30. "This whole thing could be avoided if she just came quietly." She said, of course being a combat hardened cyborg with no organic parts, she wasn't worried about the strange smoke.

The Helicopter went down in a plume of smoke, the Terrans fired the first shot, which justified Taiyou retaliation. Preston and his team would find two Jigabachi AV Helicopters bearing down on him, launching missiles from their wing mounted missile racks.

The Missiles would sear towards them and impact in a brilliant flash of light, and a powerful explosion vaporizing anything in it's immediate area. Nearby buildings were forced outwards and began to collapse, as a small fireball mushroomed into the air.

The Jigabachis followed up on the survivors with a fusillade of 30mm chaingun fire, tearing through most vehicles, chewing them up.

The Jet Tengu moved on the NPA Vehicles. "Weapons free, we are now officially in a state of war with the TNG." And they moved to harass and shoot down the NPA Vehicles, which of course likely didn't stand a chance against the Taiyou onslaught.

The Major interfaced with Casey's phone, and she would find it ringing.

"Nuclear ordinance detected!" Aiedail exclaimed, turning around in an instant as she reached the roof entrance and shooting into the air. With a sonic boom, she soared around to intercept the incoming Jigabachi helicopters, her arms morphing swiftly into two imposing looking cannons.

As the missiles began to emerge from their chambers, she returned fire, each missile being met with a perfectly calculated shot of energy that would blast through it and detonate it in midair, midway between the copters and their targets.

Anodyne flew towards the missiles, pushing as many of them as she could upwards into the air and back towards the vehicles that fired them if they had gotten past Aiedail.

On the ground Chemo raised both of his hands at the remaining missiles Anodyne couldn't deflect, blue energy shot out from his palms, blanketing much of the sky.

It was then that Arya jumped from the helicopter she was in, landing lighter than would expect an adult in heavy armor to after jumping from a helicopter. The woman and several other Invictus soldiers moved to join Chemo, raising their hands.

Energy of varying colors shooting out to crowd the sky, covering missiles to contain their explosions or deflecting them back where they had come from just Anodyne had done moments before.

Those who weren't deflecting missiles use their abilties to shield as many on the ground as they could from the shots fired at them.

The NPA and Invictus aircraft returned fire, a mixture of bullets, plasma and missiles being fired. It was war.

Ayako Katamura surveyed the fighting from the bridge of her ship. "Online the fifty centimeter guns, conventional ordinance. Target the center of the fighting." She ordered, and two massive turrets swiveled on the deck and bore aim to the city.

"Deck guns primed."

Ayako nodded.

"Fire." She said simply.

The Shokaku class carrier finally opened fire, not from it's nuclear batteries, but the side mounted deck guns, they let off their thundering report, and hurled explosive shells into the fighting. The shells cracking as they broke the sound barrier, streaking in the skies.

Should they impact, they would go off with thundering explosions, rocking the city. These would be difficult to deflect, as the Energy would seemingly conduct around the shells and make it difficult to interact with them.

"Cannons primed and ready to go."

Motoko Kusanagi looked up as the shells cracked over the city. "This is the Major, Cease fire, the Package is surrendering." She said, waiting for Casey on the roof.

"Package is secure." She affirmed, and once the cybercomm went out, the Taiyou units pulled back, Jet Tengu pulling up and circling loosely around the WCPD Building, escorted by Jigabachi AV Attack helicopters. There was a brief lull in the shelling as well once the Kaze no Tani's deck crew received word, in addition to Commandant Katamura's affirmation.
