Dusk Erutin's Story

The Dark was sitting up against his favorite tree with a book in his hand which was a manual for Traveling as always. Dusk sought nothing but perfection in his career and had a small obsession with being seen as perfect under Hope's eye. A light breeze tussled his dark bangs and Dusk almost smiled. His eyes continued to dash back and forth through the pages. Little did he know that his twin was up to no good …

"Waauuugghh!"

The sound of branches and their leaves shaking was heard before Dawn landed directly in her twin's lap with an 'oof'! Dusk's eyes went wide with shock and mild pain for the fact that his book had crushed a very important portion of his body.

"Gnh!"

"I'm so sorry Dusk! I didn't mean it! I was just playing!"

The Light quickly rolled out of his lap and began to flit around her brother to make sure that he was okay. Dawn didn't realize that she had multiple twigs in her hair and a few leaves to accompany them. She looked down right silly.

"Eeek!"

"Guh!"

There was a terrible collision as another Erutin came crashing into them in full form. Suddenly there was a large cat-pile as Dusk and Dawn changed into their nature forms. They were both much larger than Grape but it did not stop them from playing, not even Dusk. But as soon as her golden eyes landed on Spiral, Dawn stopped and skittered out from beneath Dusk and Grape, ungracefully.

The ivory colored panther paused for a moment, blinking those big beautiful eyes before pouncing at Spiral in a playful manner. He looked fun!

Meanwhile, Dusk nipped at Grape's ears and gave her a few good swats of his big paws without the use of his claws before shifting back into a more humanoid form. He watched his sister take off after Spiral and leap for the man but was too late to stop whatever trouble she was going to cause. He sighed and shook his head though he was still smiling.

"And I am Dusk, Grape. It is nice to meet you," the male said with a small and humble smile. He gave the female a few good pets to her fur before pulling himself out from beneath the Light. Dusk looked over at his sister while flattening his hair and said,"That is my Light, Dawn."

Dawn began to purr awfully loud for the fact that she was terribly happy and beyond content. Not only did she get to play with her Dark but with other Erutin twins too! So happy in fact that she lolled out her large tongue and ran it across Spiral's cheek.

Dusk watched and a slight frown came over his face but it was hardly noticeable.

"Alright Dawn, that is enough," Dusk called out in an unhumored tone of voice. He didn't exactly like his sister taking so well to a sudden playmate. It made him a bit more cautious and Dusk was going to keep an eye on his twin.

"Too friendly," Dusk said to the Light who rested against him and he blew out another annoyed sigh. Dawn was rather lucky this was a good day and he had been in a good mood, otherwise someone would be getting an earful.

Dawn's ears laid flat against her skull and sulked for a moment in her natural form. A low sound came from her chest and she laid submissively on the ground in her reprimand.

Dawn purred at the attention but then stopped seconds later after Dusk had thrown her a displeased look. The Light immediately changed back into her humanoid form and ran over to her Dark, hugging him tightly when she got to him. Dusk looked up at the sky for a moment and sighed again. How she was able to do that was beyond him. Dusk reached up and patted the top of her white head.

Dusk and Dawn both blinked and then looked at Spiral and Grape at the mention of Lock.

"You know our siblings," Dusk asked curiously while Dawn lit up and clasped her hands together. She rushed up towards the other twin set with a brilliant and pretty smile on her face.

"Do you?!"

"W-What. Wait! Why does she get to be courted and I don't! Key and I are the same age and even she is courted. This isn't fair, Dusk. When do I get my chance to find a mate," Dawn said with a bit of her temper flaring up.

Dusk flipped Dawn's hood over her face with a deft hand and put a hand over her mouth in order to keep her from talking anymore. "When I actually approve of the male that wishes to court you," he responded. The cloak's hood didn't stop her from pointing at Grape, whom she thought was Spiral and muttered," There's one right there!"

The Dark pretended that he did not hear anything. It was obvious he had a rebellious Light on his hands but still one that considered his thoughts from their conversation.

"No. There were only four in our litter and even still we are not close. We only know them by name," Dusk said, hoping that Dawn was finished with her bad behavior.

"Oh," Dawn said and blinked while placing a finger against her lips. She stifled a bit of laughter at seeing Grape instead of Spiral.

"And that is why you do not go around saying whatever you please, Dawn," the Dark said while folding his arms across his chest and looking down at her from the corner of his eye. "You should apologize to Spiral," he added while nudging her towards him.

Dawn stumbled a step forward and hung her head slightly while muttering her apology,"I am terribly sorry for my blunt behavior and I will try to not do it again."

Dusk nodded in approval.

"No, we have not been assigned out traveler as of yet. That is why we are still here. Dawn is a colonist headed for Terra and I am going along with her as a medic," Dusk explained before stooping down to pick up the manual on traveling.

"But Dusk wants to be a traveler too," Dawn pitched in with a lovely smile. She seemed in a better mood after receiving pats from Spiral. It made her feel liked and enjoyed in company.

"Indeed," came her Dark's addition.

Dusk flinched as the other Light clung to him in a rather large embrace and then placed his hands on her shoulders. He lightly attempted to pry Grape off of himself as was mentioned, she was being courted by another and the two of them were definitely not courting.

"Forgive me but your hug is inappropriate, Grape," Dusk said while trying not to hold the same tone he would with Dawn which was much more harsh.

"Terra sounds wonderful! When can we go! And we get to be with Grape which is really, really, really going to be great! Grape is great! I like her and I think we'll be good friends," Dawn said while bouncing on the tips of her toes.

Dusk caught the tone in Spiral's voice and looked at his Light who was clinging to Grape. "You're not allowed to go there either. I don't like the sound of it," the Dark said while nodding his head and closing his eyes. He word was final and when he made such a gesture, Dawn knew.

Dawn's expression directly reflected Grape's and matched it perfectly as they both stared at Spiral. "Uh oh …!"

A figure on the distance was growing closer who had a familiar scent. He was following one as well; one that the Erutin had not picked up in several days. A faint smile touched the corners of his lips but was not even visible. It would be good to see his fiance again …

Dawn pointed to the male coming towards their group with one arm still wrapped tightly around Grape. "Who's that," she exclaimed in a questioning tone and forced Grape to stop.

Dusk turned around with an arched brow to see what Dawn was yelling about now.

Lock wasted no time in taking her hand and yet he did not place a kiss on it but instead pulled her into him to embrace the woman that was to be his mate. The Dark held her tightly for a moment, having missed her every second they were apart. Not that he would admit to such things but it was the truth about how he felt.

Releasing her only slightly from his arms, Lock took up her chin and tilted her lovely face so that they would meet gazes with each other. His smile became a little more noticeable.

"How have you been, Grape," he smooth voice said before he leaned in and pressed a kiss to her temple softly. There was another form coming up behind them and it was definitely female; Key.

"Graaaaaaaaape!"

It left Dusk and Dawn in bewilderment at what was going on. Dusk just stood there silently watching and Dawn was reveling in the romance of the moment with big eyes and clasped hands.
