History

Ink has been attending the university for two and a half years now. She is going after a degree in the fine arts which puts her on the path to graduate in one and a half years. While engrossed in her studies, she has also sought and gained employment at Taylor's Bar as one of the bus staff. It's not a glamorous job, but the bar is rather nice. When not working, she tends to be out somewhere drawing or taking pictures.

Ink has had a stalled on again/off again kind of relationship with a man named Nathan, a banisher of demons who has brought a bit more violence than love to her life. On one of their reunions, Ink was attacked by one of Nathan's enemies and suffered a broken arm. She hasn't seen Nathan since...

Her friendship with Titania, the janitor at Taylor's, has grown exponentially as she has taken Ink under her wing at work and been a supportive companion in Ink's personal life.

So begins...

Ink groaned and quick stepped away. "No! You'll write a curse word!" Ink laughed and hurried back towards the hotel.

Ink tromped down the stairs from the hotel wearing a black halter top and blue jeans along with her black boots. She had a bracelet clamped around her cast that gave it a bit of bling for some class. Looking around the place, she keeps an eye out for Titania. Ink wasn't working so she could have a drink, right? She went on over to the bar and took a seat in a booth.

Ink smirked at hearing her friend before turning her head to lock eyes on those gloves. "Another appointment with the porcelin goddess? I've got to get you on a real date sometime. I was just going to have a beer before heading upstairs again. I find it's easier to sleep with a little bit of alcohol to numb the pain." Stretching a bit, she motions towards the seat across from her. "You have time to hang out?"

Ink nodded in understanding. "You're a braver soul than I, Titania...But say, do you do contract work? It's hard to clean with just one hand. I'm not quick enough to spray the cleaner, then switch to a paper towel and wipe it away before it all goes to hell...Though, I guess I could just let the hotel cleaners in." Shrugging, she leaned back in the booth and plopped her cast in her lap. "Not like I wouldn't pay you anyway." Smiling, she takes her drink as it arrives and gets a swig out of it. "If you're up for video games you can come up after your shift. I've got that new batman one. My brother sent it to me."

Ink took her drink with her as she stood and followed to the bathroom. She didn't go in, though, choosing to stand at the doorway instead. "What do you expect? They drink piss water and then piss water. It's gotta go somewhere." Leaning on the frame, she crosses one arm over to hold onto the cast. "Besides, I'm sure you're just jealous.

Ink normally wouldn't be seen out in the city by herself at this time but she was at least on her way home. Her arm was still in a cast and it was only a week before she'd be getting it cut off. Sighing, she held her cast against her chest and walked a bit faster while looking about the street. There didn't seem to be many people about, and that worried her. Without her bag, she didn't even have her knife to defend herself with. The best plan was to walk as fast as possible to get out of here.

Ink was frozen, unable to act on her thought to run while the guy with the knife was distracted. She said nothing as she thought her mouth could only get her further into trouble in this situation. Looking upwards, she focused on the masked man, trying to take a cue from him as to whether or not she should run or maybe just back away. It figured this would happen. That she'd die -one week- from having her arm back.

Ink cowered down at the action, covering her eyes against the light of the flash light coming out of the alley. Now crouched on the sidewalk, she looked up at those icy-blue eyes with dumbfounded awe. "I-uhh...yea. Yea, I'm fine. Uh, thanks?" Then she realized who else was there. "Titania! What the hell? You couldn't show up TWO MINUTES earlier to keep me from being traumatized?"

Ink couldn't help but roll her eyes. "You seriously think I could punch someone with one arm out of commission and the other as strong as a wet noodle?" Looking to the masked man, she rolled her eyes a bit. "Tell her that I should leave the fighting up to mad mean - I mean, masked men like you." She held her arm again and frowned. "Whatever. I'm all for going home, if my savior will walk my friend and I back...?"

Ink came around to walk with her friend, even hooking her good arm around the woman's elbow. "Could I stay with you? Like, seriously? I'd rather not go all the way back to Taylor's." As they started to walk, she left room for the masked man to her left, expecting him to stay alert for all their sake's.

Ink frowned a bit as she came inside, holding the door for Oddface to come in, too. "Couch? Couldn't I just...stay with you?" She didn't realize how awkward that question would make her feel, especially since it was asked in front of a stranger. "Uh...Titania, how bout a drink for my savior?"

Ink blinked before her expression just flat-lined...."What the hell are those?" she asked as she put the drink down and walked over closer to the fox. "And why the hell are they so cute?" Squatting down, she reached out to touch the pokemon.

Ink held Sandshrew in her arms as she walked down the crowded sidewalk just outside the gym. There were moments that she had to squeeze past battles in progress, making her feel pressured to dip her toes in the pool, so to speak. But she had no intention of acting like an actual trainer just yet. No, instead she was just looking for her friend, though it seemed her Sandshrew had other ideas as it squirmed to get out of her arms.

Titania Brightsmith came out of the Gym behind Ink before seeing a familiar sight, though Ink might not recognize her old friend in her imposing get-up. "Hey! You with the Sandshrew! Stay right where you are, I'll come get you!"

It was like a sea just parted as everyone chose to stay out of this woman's way. It was moments like this that made all the grueling training she went through to get here all worth it.

Ink blinked at the voice and winced while turning to look towards it. Had someone really picked her out for a battle? The sight of Titania threw Ink a bit before she finally recognized her and threw a hand up to wave to her friend. "Titania, hey!" With only one arm down around Sandshrew, the small pokemon found the opportunity to escape, leaping down and scurrying off towards another pokemon to pick a fight. That little guy was always so aggressive. Before Ink could snatch him back up, the creature dug into the ground and disappeared. "Hey! Sandshrew, get back here!"

Titania Brightsmith just chuckled. "Relax, Ink. Just stick close to me, I'll go get your friend. Go get 'em, Claw!" A large mole with steel implements of destruction popped out, giving the two of them quite a wide berth. "Keep 'em offa me, I gotta have room ta work," the Excadrill snarked before going down after the little one.

"You don't let Sandshrew out very much, do you? Pokémon can be like pets, but this one wants to get out and explore. I'm guessing it's been causing quite a bit of havoc around the apartment, hmm?"

Ink frowned. "Well, he has shredded through two doggy beds now...I would let him out more but I don't know how to train him. I feel like he just needs a good work out but I'm too chicken to let him out of my sight..." Sighing, she crossed her arms and stood next to Titania, turning to watch for her Sandshrew who just then re-emerged just in range to give a good bite to a poison type pokemon. "Hey! Be careful!"

Titania Brightsmith smiled. "All right, looks like he's found himself a good scrap. Those claws he used on the doggy beds? I bet they'll do some damage to that Ekans there, too. Go on, tell him to use Scratch."

Ink looked worried. "But I don't want him to get hurt...Er, use scratch, Sandshrew!" For a bit of comfort, Ink reached out and took hold of Titania's hand, eyes glued to the battle her Sandshrew just started.

Titania Brightsmith smiled as Sandshrew lunged forward and raked the enemy Ekans with its wicked claws. "Ooh, look out. Sandshrew looks like he's having a lot of fun battling, especially with the--LOOK OUT!" Dude to Ink's inexperience, all Sandshrew could do was stand there and try to defend itself from Ekans employing the attack Poison Sting. It didn't seem to affect him much, but then he shuddered.

"Uh-oh. I know what this is. You have to find a way to get him out of there before he passes out. Keep fighting if you have to!"
