Thus, she has a somewhat uneducated view of the world. Despite this, she is generally pleasant to be around, but can become intolerantly dismissive when argued with at times. She also doesn't see the benefit of an education. Luckily, she is not overly prone to become offended at teasing, and is more likely to ignore someone or walk away when she knows she is being teased. She seems to be a natural tomboy, not obsessing over stupid things like hating pink but rather simply sometimes demonstrating a disregard for femininity.

Bulldoze? Bulldoze?? ...Somehow she thoguht she'd heard of that move somewhere, but Boufallant certainly didn't know it. Perhaps there was a different strategy here... Wait just a moment! A thought occurred to her. Boufallant knew a move specifically for catching fleeing targets! Surely /that/ would come in handy, right? "Boufallant, use pursuit n' punish!" she commanded, reminiscing about times where she'd had to herd fleeing pokemon on the ranch. It occurred to her that she had neglected to take her favorite sheep dog with her. Perhaps she would go 'fetch' her later. The buffalo pokemon lunged forward, this time predicting a dodge and attempting to follow up with an immediate second attack meant to take advantage of the lack of a guard a pokemon would have whilst trying to flee. Underhanded tricks could be fought with underhanded tricks.

Sure enough, Huntress tried to dodge out of the way, but Bouffalant sniffed out the backstep and kept going, smashing into the Lucario for some damage. It popped right back onto its feet, more ready than ever to fight, but Titania recalled her. "Good. That's enough. Bouffalant knows how to chase down a dodgy bastard, but how about the rest of your team? Let's see what they've got. My guys need practice with evasion, too!"

Jessica seemed to hesitate. Tauros knew pursuit as well, but Miltank... Hm. She released the two pokemon from their balls. Not that it was on her mind, but this training would surely more than prepare her if she ever decided to take the gym leader's challenge. "Tauros knows that move too—We used to train 'em to herd, just like our herdier. Me n' my Dad." she remarked thoughfully.

Titania Brightsmith nodded. "Excellent. That training will serve you well. However, our main objective will be to take on the enemy on his turf, so nobody else will suffer what I had to go through. To do that, you're going to need to pay attention in the infiltration classes. I dunno what your trial mission is gonna be, but you'd better start learning to sneak around now."

Titania Brightsmith smiled and decided to see how Jessica could think in three dimensions. "Go, Bomber! Don't go up too high...just enough for them to think about it!"

"Oh..." Jessica responded, seemingly unsure about this. Stealth? How did you stealth? What was tha? She wasn't used to the thought of not wanting to be seen. After all, she was so social! Hm... "N—.." she started, stopping abruptly when Titania released a new pokemon. She raised a hand to her lips and just appeared to think about it.

"This really isn't fair to you, but something told me that this is just the sort of thing Ahriman would do. Right now, Bomber is about as high as Ahriman's underground chambers would allow him to be," Titania explained. "Your ranch Pokemon will have to learn to attack high, low and all around, as well as work together. I know I'm learning a few things from this!"

Jessica just sort of seemed to think about it for a moment. What exactly was stopping her pokemon from just attacking like normal again? It wasn't like they couldn't jump, right? "Alright... Tauros! I need ya t'use pursuit!" she commanded, and the tauros obeyed. With all the striking grace of a bull it charged the flying pokemon, predicting an attempt at fleeing and reacting accordingly. "Miltank—Um..." Jessica started, not really sure what to do there. "Seismic Toss..?" she said, kind of doubting herself. Miltank in turn took off and came at the flying pokemon from an entirely different direction, lunging out and attempting to grapple with it in mid-air with intent to bring it down to the ground—Hard.

Titania Brightsmith grinned as Bomber instead flew forward to intercept the Pursuit, slamming Tauros down hard. "I thought you had it. I thought wrong. Your Pokemon are supposed to learn this stuff, not you!" But Bomber wasn't expecting the follow-up Seismic Toss. Squawking in surprise, Bomber was crushed under Miltank's weight.

"Didn't I tell you to shut up? Ahriman knew that Trainers and Pokemon alike were helpless once they were separated from each other. They've gotten used to taking orders. Now we have to let them know that the time will come when it's okay to listen to their own instincts. Your Bouffalant got it!"

seemed slightly dejeected by Titania's response. "Well—Sorry..." she said, shrugging slightly helplessly. "They don't fight unless they're told, though..." she said, somewhat confused. Nevermind the fact that a pokemon was quite unlikely to utilize as much strategy without a human, even a human of limited intelligence. Jessica glanced briefly at the two fighting pokemon. Miltank was clinging to Bomber expectantly.

Bomber shrieked in Poke-speak. Miltank did have the right idea, for her part: The enemy was helpless, therefore don't let go until it stopped moving. "That's right. As powerful as humans and pokemon are in tandem, the opposite is also true--separate them and the parts are less than the whole. Both of you must learn to operate independently against such a wily and resourceful opponent. Now, Bomber, return. We can't train on an empty stomach, and I happen to like the way you make those country-style hash browns."

Jessica was at least mildly confused. If this was such an issue, why didn't they just learn not to get separated? She had difficulty imagining how one separated a pokemon and their trainer. She declined to comment however. "Hash browns?" she asked, apparently amused by Titania's fondness. Though, her tone also suggested she was totally willing. Hash browns it was, then.

"Yep. Hash browns. And Pignite smoked bacon. And whatever else you people who actually work for a living eat after a hard day," Titania mentioned with a chuckle. "While you were taking care of me after that accident in the garage, I gotta say, that was some good eatin'."

Titania picked up her tool box and started inside. "It's getting dark, anyway. We get some food, then we start learning why shadows are both dangerous and beneficial."

...Did pignite smoked bacon cook itself? "Glad y'like it. My daddy used to make it every other day. Sometimes 'e got exp—... experimental with it." she said, struggling with the word excremental momentarily. It was unknown if that was because of her limited vocabulary or because memories were sending shudders up her spine. Either way, she follows Titania. "No eggs n' toast? Corn beef?" she asked, tempting Titania with the offer. "N' I take it we ain't done for the day either... Maybe some biscuits n' gravy." she added in thoughtfully. Something that stuck to their ribs would give them plenty of energy for whatever came next.

"Sure, pile it on," was all Titania had to say as she got to work mashing some potatoes. That much she knew how to do. If she couldn't sleep well, at least she could eat well.

"Jess. I don't know if you noticed, but...I'm scared. Just one of those guys very nearly broke me. I might be out of my league here if what Tungsten told us is true and there's two more just like him..."

Jessica got to work on this feast of a meal they were both preparing, only to be interrupted by a confession that successfully distracted her. All of the feelings in the room were now in the spotlight and she dropped what she was doing to give Titania her attention. "Hey." she said, attempting to grab the woman's attention. She waited a moment as if hesitating, but then moved over closer to her to continue talking. "I did, and I'm scared too..." she admitted, though she didn't really seem ashamed of it. "Not a long time ago ya' took me out to a bar, bought me a drink and I shared my first kiss with a girl that wasn't my mum." she explained with a faint smile on her face, finally acknowledging the elephant in the room that had been there since that night. "I got wrapped up in some business better suited for a man, n' I don't really know what'll come of it." she said, moving over to wrap an arm around Titania's upper-body in a somewhat affectionate manner resembling a side-hug. "...But y'know—Somethin' I had to learn on my own was that it ain't worth worryin' about the past, n' what might've gone wrong." she said in a slightly awkward tone. She silently had trouble believing that lesson herself at times. "You've gotta look t'the future n' make the most out of it." she continued, taking a moment to take a breather. "...Whatever happens, you're not gonna go through this alone. 'Cause ya've got me now." she said in a tone of utter confidence, directing a clenched fist with it's thumb extended up towards herself. She met Titania's gaze, friendly as ever. Sorry, Titania. No magic eyes here. "For better or worse." she added in a moment afterwards. She silently knew she was far from the best trainer out there.

"Right. For better or worse." Titania turned and converted the side-hug to a full hug, as if suddenly overwhelmed with affection. "All this time, I've had to be strong for other people, people I thought who were my friends telling me to suck it up, that I was stronger than this. I've never had anyone stand up for me when I was weak for a long time..."

Here came the waterworks.

"Thank you, Jessica. Let's...let's finish dinner first. I don't think I'm in the right mood to get on with training anymore."

Jessica Stark was pulled into a full hug and blushed accordingly, hesitating a moment before returning the embrace. She wasn't shy about it either, even though she'd kind of... just bluntly admitted that she didn't know how to feel about all these feelings. It was just the way she worked. "...Alright." she responded, just sort of giving Titania a brief squeeze. "Part of a good workout is knowin' when ta' rest, anyway~" she offered. "And...Ya've got...—Oh..." she started, declining to further comment on the tears. For the moment, she'd just hold Titania there in that embrace. "...Yer welcome. It's... what any good friend is for—Right?" she asked, attempting to figure out how she felt about all the affection.

Titania Brightsmith nodded. "Yeah...yeah. I'd better get back to mashing the potatoes. I think your bacon's getting a little well-done over there." Jessica's awkwardness was ending the tender moment, so it was best for the women to go their separate ways for the time being.

"How's that hideaway bed I set up for you? You need another blanket, let me know, Mom got me a quilt for my birthday. It's got a bunch of fairies on it."

Jessica allowed her arms to drop, albeit almost a bit hesitantly. "Yeah—A'lil crisp never hurt no one." she remarked, before turning back to her work finally. "It does the job pretty well—I've been thinkin' 'bout settin' up a shop in town n' sellin' Moomoo milk, though~" she continued, apparently fine with getting off the subject for the time being. Was that healthy, though? Avoiding talking about her feelings like that? ...
