Description

Sex: Female
Age: 29
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 120 lbs
Species: Human
Ethnicity: Aschen

Image History:
Julianna Margaret Hagan was always the golden child of Miles. She was the one who was going to inherited everything her father had built. All her life Julia studied to become the most able and cut throat business woman. Her educational successes far surpassed anyone else in her family. Miles Hagan's empire in business was going to be handed to Julia on a golden platter.

But that had all been before the kidnapping.

There are no straight facts about what happened to Julia when she was taken or the reason why she had been taken. Her memories were wiped and Julia became a clean slate to start over a fresh life. Without the pressures of her father's empire weighing on her shoulders, Julia was able to pursue a career in modeling. Her half-brother, Dominic Hagan, was left to run the family business while Julia's face became iconic throughout the Confederation for Tech Con Industries advertisements.

And yet recently a strange jealousy keeps prickling at the back of her mind when Julia watches her brother operate Tech Con. Each day it grows but for now, Julia holds her tongue.

So begins...

A car pulled up to the Hagan Manor. It was sleek and silver and expensive. A woman dressed in shorts far too short for the season and a billowing linen shirt stepped out. Large sunglasses sat on the bridge of her nose and a floppy designer bag dangled in the crook of her elbow.
Julia Hagan ruffled her wild mane of brunette hair as she looked at the manor. It had been a long time since she was last home. Touring for her modeling contracts had kept her away. Now that she had secured a solid nominee for Miss Multiverse it was time to see Daddy and Dominic.

“Home sweet home,” said Julia with a small smile.

“Hello? Anyone home?” she called out as she came through the front door. Julia set down her handbag and set down her car keys.

“Dominic? Daddy? Nikolas? Anyone?” Julia stood there and made a ‘what the fuck’ gesture. No one had come yet to welcome her home.

A woman's voice drew Rhea's attention as she was passing through to the dining hall. Everyone had departed for the day, and even Nikolas was running errands while the rest of the manor residents were out and about. Save for a few maids and servants, she had the place largely to herself for the afternoon.

"Shari Kruse?" she asked as she entered the lobby.

Rhea had been expecting another - someone that Julia was very clearly not - and she offered an apologetic smile.

"My apologies, I was expecting another," Rhea explained.

Her accent was light, but it held a note that was unfamiliar among Aschen dialects and difficult to place.

"I am Rhea," she greeted as she offered a hand to Julia. "If you're looking for Dominic he went to the fair in Luminere."

Julia looked down at the woman’s hand for a moment before she gave it a gentle shake. A brilliant and welcoming smile spread across the woman’s face.

“Dominic went to the fair? Ah well, hm…” Julia sighed and seemed dampened in spirit. Her brown eyes scanned over Rhea with an approving gleam. She was a pretty woman.

“Is my father here?” Julia asked Rhea. “He went to a fair? Did he go with someone or … ? Really?” It was almost as if she didn’t believe it.

“Oh you know what,” Julia said with a roll of her eyes. “It’s probably Valerie. I bet she finally came to visit.”

"Your father?" Rhea asked. "Forgive me, but I am not from around here. Who is your father?" she asked.

It hadn't yet dawned on her who Julia was... The family portraits came to mind. There had indeed been a young woman among them. She had never asked Dominic who she was. A sister perhaps?

"I am afraid I do not know this Valerie either," Rhea admitted with an apologetic smile. "Dominic is I believe in the company of a young woman by the name of Jacquelyn." There was the faintest touch of disapproval in her eyes, but it was softened by the woman's smile and seemingly pleasant demeanor.

“Miles Hagan,” Julia said with a confused look on her face. She was assuming this woman was some sort of employee hired on by her brother.

“And Valerie is an amazing girl that Dominic is dating. They’ve been together for several months now. Close to half a year, I believe?” Julia mused on the thought as she walked through the foyer into the living room and then into the enormous kitchen.

“So, who’s this Jacquelyn? My brother isn’t doing something stupid, is he?” Julia raised her eyebrows while she poured herself a glass of water from the tap.

"I am afraid that I would not know," Rhea admitted. "The personal life of your brother is not any of my business," she explained with a gentle smile. "I have not seen nor heard of this Valerie though."

Rhea took a seat at the large dining table.

"I have not met your father either. I believe he moved after he retired and left Tech Con to your brother. Will you be staying long?" she asked.

She plucked a berry from a bowl that had been left out on the dining table while watching Julia curiously. She had been staying here in Dominic's manor for several weeks now and had yet to meet any of Dominic's family - or truthfully to even hear about them. Though perhaps that was her own doing. Between her studies, and her various public appearances around Langara, she scarcely had time enough to sleep let alone be sociable.

“Moved… Hm.” Julia mused on that for a second. Her brows drew together in a knot as if trying to remember something. She shrugged her shoulder and waved it away mentally.

“And I plan to stay a while. This is my house too, after all,” Julia said before she drank down several gulps of water. She set the glass down on the counter top and watched Rhea with a curious look.

“So … who are you exactly and why are you here?” Julia’s tone of voice was genuine curiosity. She rested a hip against the counter and picked an imaginary mote of lint off of her shirt.

"Ah, pardon my manners," Rhea replied. "I'm a diplomat from Terra. Your brother was generous enough to offer me a place here after some trouble with the LDA. My work tends to take me all over the place though, and I'm lucky to get a few hours rest between that and my studies. I am a student as well - it is party of why I took this assignment. Your medical advances here are far superior to those of Terra, and I did not wish to pass up the opportunity to study Aschen medicine. With my hours, I imagine you'll scarcely know I'm here."

She smiled again.

"I expect your brother will be back soon. I believe they were planning to return here in time to prepare for a business meeting in Caprica City later this evening."

“Oh a diplomat, I see. That must be a very interesting job and by that I mean boring,” Julia said with a small laugh in the back of her throat. It was a boring job to someone who was paid to look good like Julia.

“So this woman, Jacquelyn, has she been … spending a lot of time with Dominic … on a personal level?”

Julia crossed her arms. If her brother was cheating on Valerie she was going to beat him senseless. Valerie and Julia had become good friends in the past few months, communicating long distance between Terra and Langara.

Rhea shook her head and waved a hand lightly.

"I think it would be best if you had that discussion with Dominic himself," Rhea replied. "It would not be appropriate for me to make assumptions into his personal life. I am a guest here and he has been most generous on that matter."

Again there was a glint of something that lay behind her eyes - some sense of disapproval. There was something she wasn't telling Valerie.

“Well if he were cheating on his girlfriend I don’t think he would be too willing to talk about that to his sister who he knows adores Valerie Chambers,” Julia said to Rhea.

“I’m just looking out for the best interests of my brother. He’s my best friend in the entire universe. I would hate to see him end up with someone bad for him rather than someone that’s more suited to him like Valerie. I don’t want him heartbroken.”

Julia pushed off the counter and sat down in a chair near Rhea. She reached for the berries and took a handful.

“And I know you have something to say. I can see it in your eyes,” said Julia. It was all assumption and guess but Julia really wanted to know.

Rhea shook her head again. "I would imagine that they are just friends," she replied. "What worries me is only that she is a very troubled woman. Your brother has a kind heart and his generosity for the less fortunate is commendable, but she is dangerous and I worry that he forgets that."

Rhea had seen little of Whisper since the girl had been excommunicated from the Patronus, but what news had reached Rhea had proven troubling.

She smiled then. "I imagine I worry more than is warranted. Your brother is a capable young man."

“Dangerous, you say?” Julia popped a juicy berry into her mouth and chewed it thoughtfully.

“She must not be a good person to have around. I don’t like the way this sounds. I want to meet her. You said they are coming back, right?” asked Julia. She threw the berries back into the bowl one by one.

“She’s not staying here, is she? Not over night or anything like that?”

"She's been here for two nights," Rhea explained. "When he brought her back she wasn't really in any condition to be left alone. She was catatonic. I examined her myself, but there was nothing physically wrong with her."

Rhea shook her head. "She seems to be doing better, but I don't know for how long he plans for her to stay. And yes, I believe they intended to return here after the fair."

“Not for much longer, I suspect,” said Julia. She looked very pissed off in a brooding way. A very long talk needed to take place between her and her brother. Julia picked at an imaginary spec of dirt under her long manicured nails.

“I can’t wait for him to get back,” the woman said with a vicious smile.

“So…” Julia said with a rap of her nails on the table. “How do you like Langara so far?”

Outside the manor a black limousine pulled up, flanked on the front and the back by white pickups. The Limousine slowly came to a stop alongside the silver all too expensive car, and the driver moved to open the door and allow the occupant to emerge from the car.

It was an older man with long greying hair and a Hawaiian style shirt adorned with flowers and bright colors, made from the finest silks.

He had on some white shorts and a cane made from an epoxy infused wood adorned with jewels and gold leaf.

His shirt and hair ruffled in the breeze while the Driver helped him to the Manor, a second flunkie placing a martini in his left hand. Stirred rather than shaken.

Sandaled feet made their way up the concrete walkway towards the house, and the two white pickups started off towards the end of the property.

"Be gentle," Rhea urged Julia. "The girl... she is not well." She sighed and shook her head. "I should not have said anything."

She rose from her chair.

"If you would excuse me, I should be going. It was a pleasure to meet you."

“It was lovely meeting you, Rhea. We should chat more in the future,” Julia said as she stood up too. Her things needed to be retrieved from her car out front.

“I would really appreciate it if you kept an eye on Dominic and this woman for me. You would tell me if something was … strange between them, wouldn’t you?” asked Julia with a smile.

The door to the front jiggled slightly, and then it finally opened up, with a martini in one hand, and his cane in the other, the Hagan senior stepped into the entryway of the massive house.

There seemed to be voices coming from the parlor, so Miles started to make his way, the sound of sandals shuffling on marble floors echoing through the house, and should both Rhea and Julia come to the entryway, they would see the old man in the center, slowly taking his sunglasses off and lighting a cigar.

"Looks like my hooker came, just in time." He said, gesturing to Rhea.

"Ah, Mr. Hagan," Rhea began as she inclined a head in greeting. "It is a pleasure to finally me-"

Her words broke off as she seemed somewhat perplexed by his own, but she took it gracefully enough.

"Pardon me, my name is Rhea," she explained. "I am the diplomat from Terra. I was unaware you were arriving today."
