History

As the executive strategist for Section One, Madeline is Operations's closest ally and confidante. The ultimate personification of Section One's ideals, she is cold and efficient in the execution of her duties, which often involve using torture to extract information from captured terrorist subjects. A master manipulator, she knows the psyche of each Section operative inside and out, and can push the right buttons to get what she wants from each one each time.

So begins...

Madeline W. opened the door to the room the two of them were situated in, she then quietly closed the door behind her.

"Michael... Claire..." She said, nodding before she gracefully made her way around the two, a file folder in the crook of her arm. It was then she moved to stand just adjacent to Michael. Her eyes were on Claire. Then they fell on Ari.

"As a Level one Operative, training under a level four operative..." She said, addressing both Ari and Claire respectively. "You will stay together during the course of your training, if you fail your training, you will be cancelled, if you do not follow the orders of your senior operatives, then you will be placed on abeyance." She said flatly, staring at Ari. "Abeyance or Cancellation is not a place you want to find yourself, do I make myself clear?"

Madeline W. glared at Claire, and threw the file folder on the desk in front of them. "Red Halo." She said, pushing aside several papers. "You're both Terrans, the goal is to infiltrate this organization and terminate a man by the name of Nikolai Grosha. I want him terminate by the end of the yahren." She said flatly, then she sifted through some more paperwork.

"There are additional targets you need to look into, a Dr. Reichkopf, and a.. Rabiya Dolet." She said, sliding the files towards them

"Additionally... I want intel on any and all planned Halo attacks on Aschen targets here on Terra, lastly..." She then brought her gaze over to Ari.

"The red cloaked figure that Michael reported you encountered, I want intel."

Madeline W. made a face. "Eos Paradigm? My Intel was limited on the subject, but I see the connection is apparent." She said after recalling up the memory of watching the video from Michael. "Nikolai Grosha has caused the LDA And the Contractors some heartache, additionally we believe that Grosha was connected with the destruction of the Dawn under Heaven, and wish to eradicate him as a little payback." She then turned to Ari, narrowing her eyes. "I also have cause to believe, after going over some of the footage of you and the tracking data before the original implant was destroyed, that you know a little more about Grosha.. then you're telling me, so let's get this out in the open, and make sure everyone's on the same page."

Madeline W. remained silent. "Then you won't mind if I go ahead and cancel you right now, as you're of no further use to me." She said, opening the desk that Michael was sitting at and withdrawing a disruptor pistol. It was then she walked around the desk, and firmly pressed the weapon to Ari's head. "Unless there's something you'd like to add?" She said, Madeline was a whole different animal.

"You know him and Reichkopf, or perhaps you could.. take a Zatarc to prove your truthfulness?" She said, nodding. "Or I can just cancel you right now, and we can stop wasting mine and Claire's time."

Madeline W. remained silent as she held the weapon against Ari's head. "You're lying." She said, as a middle aged woman walked in with a strange device, which was on a cart, as she wheeled into the room. The Device was a box like device, with a crescent shaped podium and an eye, a screen on the back of the device had various statuses online. As the woman rolled the cart around, a second Agent approached with a pill shaped device, moving to press it against Ari's temple, if the device was pressed, it would latch into the brain with a thin tendril, resulting in a sharp brief pain. If Ari resisted, Madeline would power the weapon. "Move and I'll frakking kill you." Madeline warned, looking to Claire.

"You're dismissed."

Madeline W. completely had a straight face, lowering the weapon for the knees. "This is your last warning, sit down, or I'm going to cancel you." There was no tone or inflection in Madeline's voice The weapon was primed and aimed, while the two Agents stood there quietly. A Distinct whine emanating from the weapon.

"Here's the deal, your refusal to sit down and take that test tells me that you have something to hide, and in Section, there are no secrets. So. Now that I think you have something to hide, I'm going to cancel you, unless you park yourself in that chair."

Madeline W. remained quiet for a long moment, then watched as Ari moved into her chair. "That's good." She said, nodding to the technician, whom placed a manila folder with the OIA Logo in front of Madeline. "That implant in your eye..." She said, shaking her head. "Go through with the test anyway." She said to the technician, whom nodded, and moved to press the familiar pill like device against Ari's head, should she not move, it would lock onto the brain, and begin to analyze brain patterns.

Madeline then spoke. "Look into the light." She said, pointing to the light mounted on top of the Machine, once it was active, a technician would watch a screen, which showed the brainwave patterns, raw data, with a green background.

"Is your full name Erin Loire?"

Madeline W. made a face then looked back up to Ari. "Then what is your name?" She said, as a technician took notes, clearly shaking her head. Already Madeline's mind was made up. "She's tampering with the machine somehow, I'm getting a few errors, let me reboot." She said quietly, pressing a few controls on the machine.

"You're good, an obvious lie registering as truth, you're mocking me." She said flatly, then continued to read the file.

"Why do you feel the need to lie to us? Do you... enjoy putting more lives in danger?"

Madeline W. nodded, the green icon and stable brainwave patterns indicating truth. "Very good, if Erin Loire is not your true name, what is your true name?" She asked, as she took some notes, then she turned to the Technician, whom nodded. "All's green, Madeline, she's not lying." She said, then Madeline nodded.

The second control question came. "Have you ever stolen from a cash drawer?"

Madeline W. nodded, and turned to the Technician, whom spoke. "I am going to ask you to lie in this next question, it will not determine whether or not you fail this test, it is to establish that this machine is functioning, so in this next question, you are instructed to lie." She said frankly, then nodded to Madeline.

"Have you ever consumed alcohol in the course of your life?" The Technician asked, waiting to see the screen, anticipating a change in color.

Madeline W. would let the technician handle the test for a moment, nodding to Michael, whom was silently sitting in the room, through the whole escapade. "Excuse me." Madeline said quietly, she would move into the adjacent room, where a video phone was set, sitting at the desk, she would dial the phone, and plug in a specialized land line, and deep underground somewhere on the planet, a certain entity would pick up a beacon.

"I hope Marlene was right about you." Madeline fussed.

Madeline W. took a breath for a moment. The Landline was completely isolated, the video phone the only source the machine could get in to. "I don't like you, and you don't like me, but we have a mutual enemy, and I have your prize, if you work with me, and she works with me to get what I want.. I might be inclined to let her go, or at the very least, release my restrictions, and allow her to lead a relatively independent life, do we have some sort of consensus?"

Madeline W. watched the screen, and then cleared her throat. "Okay... Red Halo, I believe we have a common enemy in that regard. They recently have been stepping up attacks, Hataf too. My job is to make sure that lives aren't in danger any more, if you can help me with that, I might be able to.. make some arrangements to stop the hunt, maybe even call you an ally."

Madeline W. cleared her throat, and watched the screen. "Very well... if you agree to assist us against Red Halo, I will arrange for information to be provided to you about our civilization, knowledge for knowledge, a fair exchange?"

Madeline W. leaned forward. "Access to ancient technology, and the codes to reactivate it." She said, light playing darkly on her features. "I'll hand you Proclarush Taonas on a silver platter."

Madeline W. pulled up several highly advanced weapons schematics pulled from various Alteran databases, technology vastly beyond even the Aschen scope. "Our study of Ancient Technology has allowed us to develop some interesting weaponry... you could have a slice, if you helped us."

Madeline W. nodded, and leaned forward. "It's not just Red Halo and Hataf that concern me..." She said quietly, then she cleared her throat, and rested for a moment. "The Belkan Hegemony... we will need help against them... no.. this entire galaxy will need help against them. We will treat you as an ally, with respect, and with dignity, when Ari passes this test, and is a full Section Agent, I will treat her with the same respect I treat all my level two agents. Is that acceptable?"

Madeline W. nodded, and then spoke. "And what am I to do if she carries out an attack against us?" She asked quietly, crossing her hands over her chest. "Am I supposed to... continue to treat her respectably?" She asked, tilting her head. "Otherwise I will treat her respectably."

Madeline W. nodded. "Then the deal is concluded, I will uphold my end of the bargain, and you clearly have ways to monitor her, so that shouldn't be a problem. In two weeks, I will transmit the schematics I promised to you, I have to gather them first, as this installation only has a few."

Madeline W. frowned from her spot in the video, then she shook her head and went over some files. "You have an hour and a half to report in." She said before she terminated the link, the holographic image fading away into thin air.
