Just 1 day before the military exercise in the Casgrax system...

Inaya II - High Planetary Orbit"Eden Inhibitor Control this is CONCORD DED vessel CV117 requesting a straight shot to transmitted coordinates. I am sending the authorization codes.", the pilot transmitted as a bright yellow sun crested Inaya's horizon. Nearly a full minute passed before a reply came. "CV117 we are offlining system inhibitors on your route. Please standby.", the reply came. Another minute passed. "CV117 your window is open for 10 micron. Stay on course. Alloway.", replied Eden Inhibitor Control. "Alloway.", answered back the pilot as the Drift class corvette started to move.
He pressed his will to the ship and she aligned away from the planet. EGO, Environmental Guardian Online was busy running calculations and plotting possible problems with the route while the warp core spooled up. Metallic plates shifted across the ship's hull. Outside of the frigate that had yet to be destroyed on Terra this was one of the fastest ships that Ayenee or Eden could cough up. A warp field shimmered as the ship lurched forward and in a flash vanished from the pristine view of Inaya II's rising sun.
The pilot's eyes were closed. He was suspended in fluid and linked directly to the ship. Within his mind's eye he was watching a HUD as the ship's speed climbed at a blistering rate.
Just how fast was the fastest ship of Ayenee? Light travels at a constant speed and in the vacuum of space. That speed is 299,792,458 meters per second. It takes the light of SOL about 8 minutes and 17 seconds to reach Terra just so you can fathom the impossible speed of CV117. By interstellar and especially intergalactic standards the speed of light is a snail's pace. The pilot's HUD did not display factors of warp. The pilot's HUD displayed AU, the distance between SOL and Terra per second and within the first minute the display was climbing over three hundred. An AU just so happened to be the same distance between Inaya II and her parent star. The number continued to climb. Just in that moment it surpassed 400 AU per second, nearly 199,602 times the speed of light. That is still the speed of a tortoise when forging across the vast distances of intergalactic space.
They had yet to make it out of the galaxy as the ship bored right through a star and then a jovian planet, a giant hot Jupitor like world dancing too close to its sun and being torn apart. Neither star, nor planet, nor ship felt the sting and failed to even notice. 'Prepare phase drive.', the pilot thought and the ship and EGO responded with readings and a count down across his HUD. 'Your corridor is still clear.', EGO relayed directly into his head. 'Drift.', the pilot thought and the ship, visible to those within the warp field faded and shimmered until their was nearly nothing left. The ship was scrapping the border of phase space between individual universes within the multiverse, the 5th dimension and accelerated to a speed that made the former impossible speed seem like a leisurely walk in a park. The ship rocketed into intergalactic space at a relative velocity of nearly 600 light years per second, 37,944,646.3 AU per second. It would still take slightly less than one day to reach the Casgrax system, which was just a bit more distant than 800,000 LY away.
Day of the exercise...
Casgrax SystemA ship exited warp on grid with HDS Citadel and broadcasted a hail as metallic plates shifted around her hull. It was CV117. "This is CV117 requesting audience. We are diplomatic. Please accept this information packet transmitted on FTL channel 1010.1010.", the pilot relayed across commonly used channels. The one kilometer tall hull slowed to a stop as its engines spooled down.
