Requaza's Story

Not knowing anything else to do, Requaza decided to clear her mind by flying over the city, giving the people something to look at, also seeing the other pokemon of the city, some of them were too weak to even fight, Req gave pitty to those too weak to fight. Landing on a tree, Requaza fell asleep. Waking up at hearing sliding doors close, she raised up and landed, with a whirlwind at the ground below her.

Tungsten flinched at the whirlwind as the god of the skies touched down.

Wait a minute...Rayquaza never touched down! Not even to rest! Arceus damn it, he had been followed!

"Drop the illusion, you impostor!" Tungsten barked in PokeSpeak. "If it's a fight you want, you just might have found it!" He immediately dropped his guise and ran southwest into the woods near the Johto National Park, where he could use the thick foliage to his advantage. Once he got there, he made sure to get ready for a brawl by allowing his mind to come up with various nasty plots. Aha! That one would do nicely!

"Come on, you Rattata," he muttered. "Don't make me come out there and beat you in front of all those Humans."

Rayquaza lifted it's head, and tilted it, looking at Tungsten. As it blinked, Tungsten's footsteps were heard as he hid. When Rayquaza lifted up higher, he began looking down hoping to intimidate Tungsten into fleaing.

Tungsten refused to be intimidated. He knew this form to be a facade, nothing more. If a legendary showed up outside their usual stomping grounds, fine, but this one acted way out of character. Unless the stories were untrue?

This knowledge that he was most likely dealing with an impostor allowed Tungsten to cut loose with a boosted Night Daze. Not only would it be stronger from the fact that the move shared the dark-type with the user, but the nasty plot he had concocted doubled the power of all his special attacks. All that power was concentrated in a blast of darkness right at the false dragon's eyes, hopefully ruining the accuracy of his adversary in addition to dealing what would probably be a good chunk of damage. A hit this strong would definitely reveal this interloper for what he truly was, assuming the Illusion ability was in play.

Ray was hit, shaking it off, Ray used fly and jumped up higher than most pokemon, and came swooping down, just barely hitting Tungsten, landing back where it was, Ray waited for Tung's next attack.

"Shit," Tungsten spat as Rayquaza flew out of reach. So this was the real thing, as a ditto would have turned into him. He knew he couldn't take what was coming next, so he used the trees as cover and plotted some more.

Then Rayquaza came crashing down, like the trees weren't even there. Tungsten barely got out of the way in time to avoid serious damage, but the legendary dragon had still left its mark. Tungsten clutched his side in pain and staggered backwards before jumping up into the canopy for a Flamethrower attack. Screw the possible forest fire. Screw the type resistance. Tungsten needed to scorch his adversary's emerald flesh to severely hinder its physical might and possibly make the next attack survivable. The fact that they were surrounded by combustible material would make a burn that much more difficult to avoid.

Ray's eyes widened as the fire shot at it, attempting to fly up as Ray had been hit, making it hard, instead came crashing down and rolled around, to extinguish the fire, really angry now, Ray used body slam, hitting Tungsten with it's giant body.

Tungsten grunted in pain as his body was driven into the ground by a whole lot of pissed off dragon. The burn he had inflicted earlier practically cut the legendary beast's physical might in half, making the blow survivable even for the frail Zoroark. That didn't mean he wasn't in a whole lot of pain, just that he could get up to continue the battle.

His body shook as he rose to his feet, barely able to stand. One more blow would surely knock him out, but his superior speed and special attack power would ensure that he would carry the day. Showing the iron will and relentless determination of his mother, Tungsten reared back and let loose an even more powerful Night Daze, dazzling Rayquaza's sight with waves of dark energy that rippled along its sinuous body, causing wracking pains. Whether from this attack or from the burn damage he would suffer after delivering a final blow of his own, the guardian of the skies would find itself crashing to the ground once again.

Ray felt the pain and knew it had to hold on just a little bit longer, as it held on, it knew it's oponnent couldn't hold on that much longer, as it was hit, it staggered back and with all that he could muster, he used bite, biting Tungsten.

"Gyaaahhhhhh!" Tungsten shrieked in pain as the legendary beast found the strength for one more attack, ripping into the flesh with savage fangs. Even taking type resistance into account, Rayquaza was just too strong for the Zoroark's meager defenses. He bucked and kicked desperately as the jaws of death closed in on him, trying not to get utterly bitten in half. Even after two accuracy drops from night daze, he still found his mark...it looked like Tungsten's luck was about to run out.

The burn! Yes! That would be his saving grace! Taking a deep breath, Tungsten belched forth another jet of flame, aiming specifically for its previous injury while scrambling to avoid losing a limb to the hungry maw. This maneuver used up the last of his strength, and the Zoroark fell to the forest floor, succumbing to the pain even as he knew he had managed to incapacitate the emerald-hued monstrosity.

A draw it was. Not bad for the scion of Ahriman.

Solua was walking through the forest when he came upon the beat up Zoroark and Rayquaza. He stood there frozen in place with fear. 'What the hell happened here?' Solua thought.
