A young man in black robes with blue hair and yellow eyes was sitting by himself at a fountain within the gardens. He looked to be fairly ordinary except for an odd blue scarf around his neck which was accompanied by a sapphire amulet. Though if you take a closer look at the man’s face you would be able to notice some healing bruises, as well it may even look as if the man was a bit down on his luck. This man was Valentine Taikuus and he was a mage who could control electricity and his mouth had a way of getting him into trouble with others.

Valentine was a little startled when a cyclone had started forming on top of a fountain in front of him but as soon as he sensed that it was magic and nothing else his heart settled down although he did arch one eyebrow curious at whom it was that was having some fun. His question was shortly answered though as a woman in a very scandalous clothing appeared holding a parasol. Well it appears this boring night took a turn towards the interesting.

The woman appeared to not even notice that Valentine was in front of her though and that caused his pride to immediately spring forth and declare itself. “Well hello there my friend.” Val had hopped down from his seat and began to walk towards the woman. “Does this pretty lady have a name?”

“Maamoon huh? That’s an exotic name alright.” Valentine was already thinking of a few nicknames he could call her by although he did not put any of them into action yet as he didn’t want to offend her. “My scarf? Oh yes, well I received it a long time ago from a good friend of mine.” As he spoke he had reached upwards with one hand and gently stroked the scarf.

There really wasn’t anything special about it besides the sentimental value that it held for Valentine. But still his pride was hurt once more. This woman had not even asked his name and appeared to be more interested in his scarf than who he was. “By the way you can call me Val.” He added as she looked to get distracted by a small rabbit near some bushes.

Valentine watched as a small girl came out of nowhere appearing to have been injured severely and suddenly she began to cry out in pain. Though it had little effect on him at all especially when he noticed that a man had suddenly appeared and was tending to her wounds. Turning his attention from the pair he focused back on his current goal the woman named Maamoon and apparently she was thinking the same thing. As she had stood up and asked him to walk with her.

Finally we are getting somewhere… Was his first thought as he took her hand and began to walk away from the monk and the girl. “So Moon what brings you to this part of town?”

Though Valentine was apprehensive at allowing another person to use magic on him he eventually decided that since he had taken her hand if she tried anything odd he could just shock her into submission. “Alright fair enough.” He stepped into the white circle while holding her hand immediately causing the magic to start and teleport the two from the area.

The setting changes from Wing City Gardens (South) to Wing City Gardens (North)

As the transportation circle had activated it sent off a very bright and stunning light practically blinding and for a moment Valentine had thought of using his own powers to send Maamoon to her knees but soon enough the blinding effect had worn off and the pair was now in what appeared to be the Northern Gardens.

“Well it appears that we avoided a fairly sticky situation. I have seen more than one little injured girl turn into a soul stealing succubus. Although I don’t think that would really worry you.”

“Val is short for Valentine. Though you can call me which ever you prefer.” He responded as he noticed that she was offering him the parasol which he took and proceeded to hold for both of them. Though he was slightly confused why she wanted to have one of these out during the night. But before he could question the oddity of the parasol Maamoon had already asked her own question.

“Well there is little to know really. I am just an ordinary person, living a fairly ordinary life. Though it appears you may have changed that now.” Valentine hadn’t directly lied as he spoke either. He just omitted certain truths. Such as that he was actually able to control electricity, or that fairly might have been a bit too generous of word to use to describe his life.

“How about you Moon?” So far she hadn’t shown any distaste towards the nickname he was using, so he felt no need to discontinue it.

Valentine was a little taken aback by the angry response that he received from especially since she had been the one to pry into his life first. As well he even noticed that she had even appeared to be about to attack him which in return caused him to become slightly on edge as he began to unlock the energy within himself which allowed some electricity to flow through his body and into hers. But it was nothing that would cause harm. To her it would probably feel as if her hand was becoming numbed. Though as soon as she had lowered her hand he followed suit and pulled the energy back within himself and locking it away.

Then she had the nerve to suggest that she was just a harmless girl and added in a request to touch his scarf. “I don’t think I quite believe that lie, Moon.” He stated calling her on the fact that she said she was harmless. And then he got a devious idea, “If you tell me the truth I will let you touch my scarf.”

This woman truly made Valentine curious about her, it appeared that she would rather fight and risk her life than just simply tell him about herself. But he had never planned on allowing Moon to touch his scarf anyways, after all it was the only thing he had left from his greatest companion and he wasn’t about to let someone unknown to him handle something so precious to him.

The fact that she had the audacity to challenge him to a fight over the scarf which was meaningless to her only caused him to become even more irritated with her. “Very well if you wish to fight for my scarf I will fight you. Though know this I would rather die than give it up.” And with the words out of his mouth he prepped himself for the battle that he expected to be coming soon. If he was lucky he would be able to let enough electricity into her body to stun her. Similar to a stun gun that is if Moon actually thought it was worth it to fight.

As soon as Valentine felt Maamoon release his hand he knew that he had his answer before she even spoke the words. Then he noticed that the parasol he was holding was now gone and back in her hands and it looked like she was holding it as a firearm. And before the thought even occurred in his head self preservation took over and he dived forward on the ground towards her just as the sound of a shotgun went off above him. He didn’t know it at the time but a few of the buckshot balls had grazed his upper shoulders though he wasn’t majorly injured.

But as quickly as he had fallen to the ground he was back on his feet coming towards Moon. The distance between Moon and himself had not been very great to begin with so it was easy for him to cover it. And as soon as he was close enough he reached out to grab Moon anywhere that was possible and if he was able to get a hold of her she would have immediately been shocked with the same power of a stun gun if not slightly more powerful.

As soon as he felt contact with Maamoon he knew that the fight would be over but it appeared that the shock Valentine had given her was not strong enough and the woman was able to pry herself away from Valentine. Next time he grabbed onto her he would make sure that he unleashed enough electricity into her body that it would overload her nervous system causing her to drop to the floor in convulsions.

But before he could make any move she had launched a large fireball towards him which he quickly dodge and luckily because if he hadn’t his entire body would have been engulfed in flames. “You want my scarf yet you just attempted to destroy it?” Hopefully his comment would be enough of a distraction to allow him to once again get close enough to her. Once again he would attempt to grab onto her or anything of hers and if he was successful he would unleash an electrical shock that would be just short of stopping her heart.

Valentine cursed as Maamoon had escaped from his grasps this time launching herself several feet into the air. She was out of Valentines grasp even if he attempted to jump up and grab her, but it seemed as if she had realized the mistake of her previous attack as she had not launched any further attacks against himself.

"I hate you Valentine! Just give me the scarf! I'll pay you or do whatever you want!" Maamoon shouted from above him, he didn’t understand her fascination with his scarf. It was as if she was a young child that spotted a shiny object and wanted it, except young children aren’t this dangerous.

“This scarf has a special meaning to me. But to you it is nothing. I will not give it up for anything.” And with that he began to glance around the environment looking for anything he could use to reach the floating woman above him. And there was nothing, but he still had one last trick up his sleeve.

Valentine slid the silver amulet off of his neck and after a small manipulation of the sapphire the necklace tripled in length and was hopefully long enough to reach Maamoon. Putting the theory to the test Valentine quickly twirled the necklace in his hands before launching it up at Maamoon. If it caught contact with her she would receive enough volts to cause her muscles to convulse. Hopefully breaking her concentration and floating spell. And if she fell he was prepared to catch her as well.

Valentine watched as the chain made contact with Maamoon and sent her entire body into convulsions and soon enough she must have lost concentration as she had dropped her parasol and began to plummet down to the ground. And while Valentine was fighting to win he wasn’t trying to kill the girl so he quickly made his way towards where she was going to land but unfortunately she brought up another white circle that appeared just above the ground. Valentine immediately recognized it from early as the pair teleported and he abruptly stopped in his tracks and watched her as she fell through the portal and watched as it closed.

“Well. I guess that takes care of that.” Valentine spoke to himself as he let out a breath that he hadn’t realized he was holding in. And he began to retract the silver necklace that he had used to attack Maamoon with until it was normal sized once more and he placed it around his neck. Valentine would have to make sure he kept a wary eye out just in case the odd mage decided to try for his scarf once more.

Valentine had ended up spending his night in the Northern half of the gardens figuring that since he had bested Maamoon in this place that she wouldn’t bother coming back. At least not for a few days, but one thing he didn’t expect was that she had only teleported a short ways away to the northeastern part of the garden. Unfortunately for Valentine this was the exact pathway he was taking to exit the gardens as well. And while on his path towards the exit he could have sworn that he heard a very familiar noise made by the woman who had attempted to steal his scarf.

“Shit I swear to god, if she is attempts to steal from me again I won’t hold back from stopping her heart.” Valentine mumbled as he quickly moved away from the road as soon as he heard the noise and sensed some of the magic. Carefully though he started to scout around trying to discover if his mind might have just been playing tricks on him. To his disappointment he found Maamoon to be lying on her side staring at a bush full of blue roses. If he was lucky she wouldn’t have spotted him yet, and he would slowly attempt to make his escape.

Valentine cursed silently as Maamoon heard him making his retreat, immediately he prepped himself for the battle he thought was coming. But to his dismay Maamoon instead retreated a few feet to throw up in a rose bush and then she twirled around to face him though she didn’t seem to take a threatening stance. Has she decided it is not worth it to die for a scarf? He wasn’t completely sure how to react yet because he knew of witches who could summon a spell without even the slightest hint of it.

“Have you finally decided it wasn’t worth it to die for my scarf?” He tested calling out to Maamoon though he wasn’t speaking aggressively he was still very cautious watching her every move so that he could dodge anything she decided to throw at him. While he waited for her response he idly caressed his sapphire and silver necklace incase he would need to use it again.

Valentine couldn’t help but arch an eyebrow as Maamoon described the different ways she would die by and he couldn’t help but feel that something horrible must have happened in her past. After all she seemed to have an unnatural love of blue objects and even acted like a child at times she even referred to herself in third person. Then he listened as she questioned whether Valentine wanted to bathe with her or not. She did bring up the fact that water conducts electricity so that he would be able to stop her if she tried anything funny. That is unless she froze the lake before he could do anything.

“Though I would enjoy bathing with a woman such as yourself I think I will stay safely on land.” She had seemed to take on a more friendly stance but it wouldn’t be the first time someone faked friendship only to give Val a knife in the back. “Maamoon you said something about a green fever. What exactly is that?” Valentine had never heard of a disease referred to it as green fever and he had been sucked into what was now the mystery of Maamoon.

Money huh? You surely are interesting. But the rest of her statement seemed like a strike towards his pride, she may act like a child but she seemed to be as devious as any other adult. “No Moon I do not think you are too ugly to bathe with. More like you are too dangerous to bathe with.” He responded as they approached a small natural hot springs. Looking around for a good area to sit he quickly found a large rounded and smooth boulder close enough to the water but just far enough away to avoid being grabbed.

“Besides if I had thought you were ugly I wouldn’t have bothered to still be in your company. Though I do admit the mystery that is Moon has drawn me in more than normal women do.”

“No I don’t...I mean...” Valentine had started and stopped and eventually just sighed at the response she had given. He wasn’t able to decipher if Maamoon was being ignorant or just evading the question. But he didn’t press any further at the moment and consented with just watching her playfully swim around in the water. He was trying to find another question he might be able to get her to answer that would reveal something about herself without her knowing it.
“Moon, what is your fascination with the color blue?” Valentine had slowly realized that everything and anything that Maamoon created or had was blue as well she appeared to desire blue objects. Quickly putting a few different idea’s together he realized he might be able to bribe her again. After all he was wearing a necklace that had a blue sapphire on it. Exactly how well the bribe goes over though he wasn’t quite sure, after all the events with the scarf all started with just a bribe.

“Moon you like blue objects right?” He started as he pulled off his necklace and held it out in front of himself gently swinging it back and forth attempting to entice her interests. “Now I cannot give this to you either but I can let you examine it if you wish.”

Valentine grinned as Maamoon made her way towards him her eyes locked on the necklace. It appeared that his bribe had worked almost exactly as he had planned except she hadn’t answered his question. But before he could ask again she pushed his legs together and shortly after Valentine found himself with a full grown, very attractive and very wet woman in his lap. “I wish, Valentine.” Were the only words she spoke as she the gem retained her full attention.

“Ah. Ah, ah.” Valentine said as he pulled the gem backwards and slightly out of view so he could regain part of her attention. “First tell me why you like blue so much.” Valentine repeated but before she could answer he brought the necklace back into view and placed it in her open palm while at the same time placing his other arm around her slightly though not in a sexual manner more just making sure she wouldn’t run away with the necklace. Because it may not have been as important to him as his scarf it was still held a fair amount of sentimental value.
