MENTALITY
Skills: As an actor, Valve is second to few, his casual attitude allowing him to effortlessly fulfill any role with ease. He's also an excellent Pokemon groomer and coordinator, putting his knowledge of costumes and make-up to good use in preparing Pokemon for public appearances. Finally, he can use some very minor psychic powers, but overuse of them tires him out quickly.

Ability: Interference

Move Set:

Likes: Masks, Pokemon, acting, and coordinating.
Dislikes: Arrogance, sheepishness, and cruelty.
Hobbies: Dancing, socializing, acting, and coordinating.

Personality: Always casual, cool, calm, and collected, Valve can stand in the face of any challenge without any hesitance. He mainly attributes this to his job of sorts, participating in Pokemon Musicals and Contest Spectaculars, as well as starring in Movies, where you're always in front of a crowd. He also loves to socialize, always taking the time to interact with other people and their Pokemon. With his fans and media however, he's not as eager, but still gives them time anyways.

HISTORY
Relationship Status: Single
Family: Father, Mother, Three Sisters
Best Friend: Arielle
Background: TBA

POKÉMON INFORMATION

On Hand
Species: Gardevoir
Nickname: Arielle
Power Estimate: 65 Levels worth of Experience
Nature: Mild
Abilities: Trace, Forewarn, Instinct
History: Raised by Valve since she was a Ralts, Arielle always got to sit and watch his other Pokemon participate in Musicals and Contest Spectaculars, as well as star in Movies. All this observation eventually kindled in her a desire to participate as well. When she interrupted a practice session to ask Valve if she could have a go, he said yes, and began training her as well. It wasn't long before he realized she had a knack for this, and he decided to take her into her first Contest (at the Normal Rank of course). While she didn't win, a second place finish was good given the inexperience, and not too long after, she evolved into a Kirlia. Seeing this, Valve began specific training for her to excel more at the Contests, and as a result, she won her first Contest the following month. From there, through continued training and improving, she eventually began participating in Musicals, usually alongside Valve or another of his Pokemon, and, when she finally became a Gardevoir, he gave her the opportunity to star alongside him in one of his Movies. In a successful movie, and now a recognizable Gardevoir, she travels with Valve to various other showings of his Movies, or the latest Musical or Contest Spectacular being hosted, bringing her to where she is with him today.

Move Set:
Common Attack Moves: Psychic, Moonblast, Ice Punch
Common Status Moves: Flash, Teleport, Misty Terrain

In His PC Box
Stunt (Stunfisk) / Ray (Raichu) / Quake (Steelix)

Valve Vlanderson's Story

Valve Vlanderson was used to this "lateness", as less people meant less time spent being recognized and surrounded, and more time to enjoy his Pokemon and ponder his future events.

Namely, right now, he was practicing with his Gardevoir for a contest that would be occurring soon. Hot off the heels of a movie, they needed to look their best. Right now, he was sitting on a bench with his Gardevoir sitting on his lap, his hands essentially working with the dress-like part of the psychic-type in terms of how to make it work with an outside dress; a sort of tailoring exercise.

The Gardevoir was smiling, apparently enjoying the time readying. Of course a lot had to be done, but it wasn't anything too out of line. The dress he was apparently checking the fit for was one similar to the one she wore in the movie she starred in with Valve. The black dress contrasted with the natural white of the dress-like part of her body to create a striking two-tone that drew attention well.

After all, in contests, the first part was all appearance. No matter how good your moves are, if you can't win audience attention, you're as good as gone.

Valve Vlanderson looked up with a smile.
Indeed I do. Some might even say I am him. Of course...they are entirely right.

He opened a small case he had with him, revealing a full set of accessories designed for Pokemon (and a few meant for Humans that he used in small quantities). He pulled out a small flower, colored yellow, closely comparing it to the dress.

So, the presence of that notebook and pen means you probably want me to sign it, right? I'm usually right in that regard.

He seemed super calm, and maybe even a tad aloof. That was probably what added to his charm however.

Valve Vlanderson pulled a pen out of a pocket on his suit, and clicked it open, signing the notebook. He then handed it to his Gardevoir.
Arielle, you should sign it too. Remember what I showed you?

The Gardevoir took it, and after a brief moment of studying it, apparently remembered what to do, and signed it similarly. The handwriting was very similar, and likely a result of one teaching the other. When finished, she handed the pad back to him, and he gave it back to Jennifer.

The current hour keeps many of my fans away. I generally look to practice at this time with Arielle, because this way, we rarely get interrupted, which means we can actually get some work done.

Of course, we do take the time to talk to those who do show up at this time of night. In a few hours, the late night life of Nimbasa will start, and that is when we usually take off.

Valve Vlanderson nodded and waved before going back to fidgeting with accessories, trying to see what would fit his Gardevoir and what wouldn't. He eventually did decide, having her stand up as he put the black dress on her, testing his speed at getting it on her, and checking for where it was tight, loose, or odd-looking.

Well, Arielle, the dress looks gorgeous. Very beautiful, very elegant. Not sure what sub-category it'd fit in though. Those sub-categories can be a real pain sometime. I swear they make that stuff up just to confound us sometimes. The Created, The Colorful, The Natural, and many more.

...

I see, so you think that maybe this dress would be fit for The Shapely, The Sharp, or The Solid? Perhaps it would. It's a pretty basic black dress that makes anyone look good...provided they're a lady of course, ahahaha.

Apparently, his Gardevoir talked to him through telepathy most of the time, even though she spoke in the movies.

Valve Vlanderson took roughly thirty-five seconds to get the dress on. That was decent time, but given that only sixty seconds were allotted to dress-up on average (at least, spending more time makes people raise eyebrows), spending half of that on one item wasn't very efficient.

Well, we'll practice putting this on a bit more. I think I'd save it for specific contests and musicals though. Did it fit you well, Arielle? Anything feel odd?

... ...

Excellent. Then the tailor we hired did good. Beautiful. Well, let's see...

He went back to rummaging through his accessory box, retrieving a few more props. He pulled out a necklace, placing it alongside the yellow flower he had retrieved, and also dug out a small cone that was designed to have several flowers placed within it as well as a pair of square spectacles that looked very refined.

One by one, he went through the careful process of putting them on. Timing himself, he needed twenty seconds to get these perfect. Well, perfect timing. He'd have five seconds to spare to make adjustments if needed. As he got better at putting the dress on her, he'd cut that down, which would leave plenty of time to make final decisions.

Looking at his Gardevoir, she was now wearing the square glasses, the yellow flower was placed in her "hair" so to speak, she wore the black dress, the necklace hung around her neck, and she held a cone that just needed some flowers, and lastly, a domino mask attached to a small stick that was a replication of the masks often used in masquerade balls.

Even more beautiful. This will do.

While there were others, there was less people than was normal. He turned to smiled at Ilene.
Indeed I am. Most people recognize me though.

He was so calm and aloof, that he radiated charm from it.

Valve Vlanderson responded.
Now, if I say something is beautiful, then how does one get "hate" out of that? Arielle is always beautiful though.

As far as dress goes, I always dress this way. I don't think I own anything aside from suits in fact. So, yeah. Did you need something? We have a bit of time.

Valve Vlanderson smiled.
I don't hate attention, but it does interfere with our training sometimes. Musicals, Movies, Contests, they all need lots of time spent practicing so you'll always do your best.

As far as her talking, well, I'll let her tell you.

A voice would find its way into Ilene's head.
[I am quite capable of talking, however, telepathy is easier for me. The English language most of you speak is still rather difficult to pull off effectively. If you noticed, most of my parts had accents that were used to allow me space to clip words and use some broken lines. It makes it far easier and less stressful when performing.]

Arielle was smiling too. Valve went back to talking.
I hope she just demonstrated it to you. Sometimes, I can't tell what she's telling others with her telepathy. Not that it matters too much.

Valve Vlanderson looked at his Gardevoir as he fidgeted with the flower he had put in her "hair".

Arielle responded.
[I don't see why not...although most of us can do this to some degree. Some of us have limited psychic powers, but their presence allows us to do this.]

Valve Vlanderson was finally satisfied with their possible attire, and therefore put everything away with his Gardevoir's help before the two walked off to their hotel.

The place had the faint scent of iron and dirt in the air. A never ending background chorus of grinding gears pierced the silence within this seemingly enormous, cavernous place. One would have to navigate a series gears suspended over a drop too far to see the bottom to get further down. Over, under, and around one goes--Careful not to wind up on the wrong side of the gear. Deep within The Works what appeared to be a young lady knelt near what appeared to be a large computer of some sort. The large computer had no monitor or graphical interface of any sort other than a series of red and green lights blinking in a rythmic manner in correspondence with a gear embedded in it's base. On closer inspection, it was not the machine itself that was of true interest. There were several of it's kind located around The Works, their purpose unknown. The girl however was strange. Where her 'skin' was exposed she had open joints much like a ball-jointed doll, and her skin had a sort of metallic texture and tint to it. Her eyes glowed in the dim lighting. This was no human. She appeared to be staring intently at the machine, as if attempting to will it to do something...

"Castle, what in the wide, wide world of sports are you sniffing at?" Jennifer panted, trying to keep up with her Bastiodon partner. "We're already WAY off of the main path, and that last Ferroseed did a number on you. I don't know if we'll be able to get out of here with the supplies I've got left." Then she heard the clanking of gears.

"What...was this it, boy?" She crept closer. The clanking got louder. Until she finally beheld it. The Works. The supposedly bottomless chasm of moving gears and electrical equipment.

"Oh, Arceus...so it is real..."

And yet Castle insisted on pressing onward, leaving Jennifer no choice but to follow.

Jennifer wasn't the only other one down there. A man dressed as a spy with a domino mask was there already, leaping between safe spots. With him was a Gardevoir dressed in a catsuit as well, a mask on her face much like the man.

With the dress that Gardevoir often had tucked away hidden by the catsuit, only figure was shown. The man's suit was similar, if a bit bulkier, as he was apparently carrying all their supplies.

A few more agile leaps, and the duo would land behind Jennifer.

Jennifer Harsdorff did a leap of her own when there was a loud THUD just behind her. "EEP!" she shrieked and turned around, ready for a battle as Castle came to her aid. "I...I don't know who you are, but this isn't really a good place for a battle..."

The man laughed.
Ahahahaha! That wasn't part of the script. No one else was supposed to be here right now. Oh? If it isn't Jennifer. I recall you got an autograph.

He did away with his mask, revealing himself to be Valve. The Gardevoir moved to his side, taking her mask off as well. Valve continued.
I wasn't quite looking for a battle, but I'm more than willing to give it a go if you want. After all, I do my own stunts. Keeps me busy.

"Wha..." Now Jennifer was even more confused. "Do your own stunts, huh? This would be the last place I'd practice. Anything but a controlled environment here. This must be why you're famous and I'm not. So how about it? Your Gardevoir against my Bastiodon." Castle grunted and pawed the metal below them, ready for anything.

DIN-05.2 White could swear she heard something from farther up in The Works, and yet the constant grinding of machinery prevented even her extremely sophisticated ears from making sense out of what she heard. She looked up and turned to start into the distance as if hoping she wasn't being watched for a moment before turning back to the seemingly alien machine in front of her.

Valve Vlanderson shrugged.
Very well. Can't be helped.

He was going to reach into one of his bags for a Poke Ball, but was stopped by the Gardevoir.
Hrm? Arielle? You have the disadvantage...

...

Arielle...

...

Fine, we'll accept those terms.

The Gardevoir smiled and assumed a ready stance in front of him. She still wore the catsuit though.
I take it you want a 1v1 then? So be it. We'll take you down with the star power we earned through hard work and dedication!

Arielle waited for an order.
Alright Arielle, dazzle them as if they were the generic faceless goons of our next big hit! Flash attack!

Gardevoir took a small step forwards as she flashed an exceedingly bright light, intending fully to blind the Bastiodon somewhat.

Jennifer Harsdorff shielded her eyes as the flash went off. "Yow! You sure talk a big game, huh? Castle, try a Toxic attack!" Then it did the most natural thing, seeing as it was such an ancient and widely available technique.

"Castle, did you seriously just try to shove your mess at her?" Jennifer couldn't believe it. Instead of a cloud of poisonous gas that could easily rotate into his Trainer, Castle opted for the safe version. And the gross one.

Eh? Eh?! Arielle! Dodge that simply horrid attack attempt and employ the special Safeguard you used when you were captured by the villain in our last movie! We can't afford status!

The Gardevoir managed to sidestep most of the opposing attack as she put up several small rings of green to surround herself. She then assumed another ready stance, trying to see what the Bastiodon was doing.

Valve continued,
Ahh, a wonderful safeguard Arielle! Beautiful as always, truly pleasing to the eye!
