How often could a person say that they saw an Asian man with dreadlocks?

Not all that often, my friends.

If his appearance was missed, it would be harder for the observer to ignore the sheer amount of noise the man made as he wandered into Gambit's bar. The heels of his custom-made boots clicked. The tip of his curious umbrella clicked the floor with his steps, and the metal increments that he had woven into his hair clicked together like the sound of someone dropping and shifting a large amount of pins and needles. His angled eyes were squinted with his smile, a sharp, three-inch needle protruding from the corner of his mouth. He appeared to be playing with it.

Other than his metal accesories, he was dressed rather professionally, in a crisp button down and a vest, with the slacks tucked into the tops of his boots. "One must never be late." he murmured, pulling a pocket watch from the front of his vest.

White Rabbit had, indeed, arrived just in time.

He snapped the pocket watch closed, slipping it back into the front pocket of his vest before walking over to the bar counter. He ignored Gil and Eleven, aiming straight for another computer a few feet down from where they were sitting. After tinkering with the touch-screen for just a moment, he looked up in amusement as one of the bar bots deposited his order of Seltzer water on the counter in front of him. His smile widened, eyes squinting curiously.

His twitchy fingers reached around to the back of the console, digging and scratching until he was able to remove the plastic paneling, exposing the spaghetti formation of wiring underneath. The man set to work, oblivious to those around him (or simply too belligerent to care what they thought), tearing apart the console and causing the screen up front to fade to black.

"I don unnastan." the man muttered to himself as he angled his head to have a better look at what he was working with. "Dis tech, it not like what I used to." Unaccustomed to feeling confused, he sat back, crossing his arms over his chest and tapping his foot rapidly on the floor.

Taptaptaptaptaptaptaptap...

"Oh!" One finger flew into the air, the man's face returning to that fox-like smile. "But of course.." He pulled out his umbrella, aiming it at the computer console, and twitched his index finger.

BANG!

A puff of purple smoke clouded his portion of the bar counter, the console collapsing on the floor with a clatter. The man swore loudly, flailing his hands around to clear the smoke before approaching the decapitated console, practically salivating as he observed the electronics underneath. This was the good stuff!

"AI!" The man screeched, stumbling back and holding tight to his left arm which, for the moment, appeared to be hanging limp in his grasp. The electrical shock had momentarily paralyzed the appendage, and static electricity was flickering through the filaments done up on top of his head. His eyes, now wide, subsequently narrowed as he hissed out a breath through his teeth.

He dropped the arm, letting it hang pathetically limp as he reached into his pocket and pulled out the watch. With a single click, the face opened up, and he tweaked the hands of the watch to set the time to an hour before. And then, something truly curious happened.

The man disappeared, then reappeared at the door to Gambits. His arm was fixed, and he looked rather cross. In the same moment, the computer console had righted itself. There was no sign of damage, and it appeared to be fully functional. The seltzer water remained, fizzling idly, since seltzer rarely had reason to meddle in the lives of quirky inventors.

Taptaptaptaptaptaptap...

The man pondered as he rapidly tapped his foot on the floor, occasionally punctuating the rhythm with a sharp tap from his weaponized umbrella. He glared toward the console behind squinted lids, scowling rather viciously as he walked behind the bar counter and stepped back into the kitchen.

There would be the sound of a switch being thrown, and then all of the lights in Gambits would go dark.

Moments later, the emergency flood lights would engage, leaving the area lit only partially. Some pleased chuckling echoed from the kitchen as the man returned, preceded by a small, floating sphere of light shaped like an egg. The mechanical whir of propellers hinted at what kept the egg-light floating, and it always stayed just ahead of the White Rabbit, making sure to light his steps.

"Dis only take a few minutes." he reassured whoever cared to listen. Approaching the same console as before, he gave a sharp twist to the panelling, removing the entire screen without the use of the gun.

"Lady!" Rabbit called back to her as he started to dig through the console. "Dis is none of your bidness! Go drink tea, or sumfing." He was muttering to himself now, pulling out the parts he needed outside of the risk of getting himself shocked again. As he collected the parts, he slipped them into his pocket, glancing around and haphazardly placing the console in tipped fashion on top of the mess he'd made.

"Egglet," he addressed the floating sphere of light. It seemed to squeak with pleasure.

"Return the room to light."

The light zipped from the room, and after a moment the great switch was thrown again, and the lights all returned, filling Gambits with an abnormally harsh haze. Rabbit blinked, staggering back a step as the egglet returned itself to his front pocket.

"Ok good. All of you can go about bidness now." He stepped away from the counter, arms crossed over his chest, and steadily approached the exit to Gambits bar.

The inventor took up his umbrella, crossing through the collection of tables and chair before picking up his umbrella and jabbing it, rather viciously, into Vampiric Rage's shoulder.

"You sah." He said, his accent thick. "You look like a fellow wort duh challenge of entuhtaining me! So come on den! Get up and show me dos fancy diamond-cutting knives of yours!"

He stood back, brandishing the umbrella off to the side the same way he might a rapier, his squinted smile twitching a bit grotesquely as the metal bits of his dreadlocks clinked together.

White Rabbit took the opportunity to more viciously prod Vampiric Rage, since it appeared as if the man had ignored him. "You su! Are you as deaf as you are ugly?!" he crowed, preparing to swing for the man's rather girlish head of hair.

White Rabbit did not realize that mithril made a man impervious to the sensation of pressure. "I want," the man stated, jabbing for the more sensitive, non-mithril covered portion of Rage's skull, " tuh kick yer polished ass!"

But alas! The man was flung across the room, shattering one of the bullet-resistance windows (since, you know, he had his mithril underpants on under his slacks) and disappeared from sight!!

Tick. Tock.

As if nothing had happened, the man reappeared behind Vampiric rage with a wild grin on his face. "Where were we?!"

The eccentric strode up to the other pair, his head twitching to the side so violently that the metal clanked together like the clattering of a tool box filled with wrenches. WR didn't seem to mind much. He tapped his cane on the floor with a wicked bright smile on his face. That needle passed from one corner of his mouth to the other, eyes shifting between Torrential and Timo.

"You both..smell like murder." he said with a short, high-pitched laugh. He realized belatedly that the male had accused the female of precisely that. He didn't care. While he might have physically been on time, his mind tended to wander in other places.

Tap, tap, tap went his umbrella.

"You two are the type to feast on the unthinkable, yes?" he said through gritted teeth, eyes widening in his sockets. At Varia's appearance, he turned, throwing his arms wide before approaching her almost too quickly.

Stepstepstepstepstepstep.

And, very suddenly, he was before her.

"I'd be careful with that pair," he murmured to her, his head twitching to the side. "They stink of flesh-breath."

Rabbit's eye twitched.

With a grin that was frighteningly wide, he stepped to the side and extended his arm with a flourish, inclining his head to his chest before leering up at Varia.

"Very good." he said with another laugh. If anything, this would be highly amusing to watch.

Screeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!

Though the steps of his boots were dulled by the dead and dying grass and weeds, Rabbit made his flamboyant presence apparent by dragging the tip of his umbrella sharply across the pillar of stone that made up one section of the ruins. He was smiling, black eyes frozen in a wide, fixated gaze that swept the area with clock-like precision.

"Where is it?" he said under his breath, the sentence lilting with a breathy laugh that shook his slender frame. "Late, musn't be late. White Rabbit as alrays on time..."

Pulling something out of his pocket that looked curiously enough like a marble, he tossed it in the air, catching it deftly in his hand before tossing it forward. The marble hissed, beginning to spin wildly before emitting a large, spreading cloud of acrid white smoke. Before long, the area would be covered in the thick haze.

Melting against the wall, White Rabbit grinned, pulling out a pair of specialized aviator goggles, and slipped them on over his head.

His eyes flicked to the newcomer, a sharp laugh piercing the atmosphere so suddenly that it very well could have divided the fog. "I come here to make trouble." he said rather plainly. "Bored, I am. It nice that you decide to come enjoy festivities too."

He did not know who this other figure was, and he didn't much care. His hand went digging into his pocket again, withdrawing a set of what looked like jacks. "You like playing games? I love games. I love to win them."

He took the tip of that cane and dragged it down the stone again.

Screeeeeeeeeeeeeeek.

He dragged the tip of that cane up the stone, sending sparks flying as he stared towards the sky. It was true that Rabbit was not a stealthy fellow, but he never felt the need to exhibit stealth. He'd much rather face his problems head-on, even if the problems were ones of his own making.

"Lookit here, right on time." he said with a cackle. The fog was thick, and it didn't dissipate easily. He felt he could easily hide behind its thick curtain for a little while yet.

"Does the Stetson man feel confident in his abilities?" he querried, more than likely asking himself. "This monster has an unearthly feel to it."

A different door opened, this one at the head of the dojo, rather than at the back, where Rin had walked in. Though his steps were near-silent on the padded floor, there was no mistaking the light clink that accompanied his movements.

Dressed crisply in pressed pants, black, pointed boots, and a white button-up completed with suspenders, the Blasian man came out of the shadows, his massive, metal-encrusted dreadlocks swaying behind him as he approached the three. His fingers were steepled, eyes glittering with amusement as he regarded first Nafy, and then Evan.

"Ah yes, dey will do quite nicely wif us."

He threw an arm over his chest, bowing so profusely that his dreads brushed the floor. They glittered with metal parts, most notably razors, catching the light and scattering it as he rose to stand. "I am White Wabbit. But, fwum now on, you must all call me Mastah."

He threw his arms out wide, practically giggling. "Okai?"

His eyes flicked to Evan, sharp, glittering like the edge of a scalpel. Rabbit approached, standing toe-to-toe with Evan as he leaned in close. Real close.

"Scuse me? But I'm not sitting here talking like a Vie'namese nail lady chatting all blah-dee-blah in her own language so you no understand. So if you speakah something in my presence, you speak so I hear." Without warning, Rabbit seized Evan's wrist, turning and flipping the man clean over his shoulder, and onto his back.

"You no like, and you can take your girly gossip mouth and haul ass out deh back door, yes?" He was still smiling, though his eyes were glittering more sharply than ever.

Rin snorted.

"You get inducted!" Rabbit said. "Oh, but first, I should probably have Jaida explain jus what it is we do." He looked to Rin, who pulled out a cell phone and sent a quick text.

"Mos impohtantly is that you get paid. Lots and lots, cuz my investors pay me too. We take care of big problems. I'm sure Rin told you as much."

The back door opened again, and a tall, slender figure strode out of the shadows, across the dojo floor in an outfit similar to Rin's. Though, Jaida was considerably more, well, attractive in the feminine respect. Sharp green eyes peered out from behind choppy, snow-white bangs, and her lean, shapely figure moved with a feline grace as she came up to Rabbit's side.

"Newbies," she said, her brow furrowing. "Welcome. Nice to see that we've got such...varied talent."
