What's your name? Yasva Koren

How old are you? Just turned 20

What do you look like? If you had to describe yourself as though you were
talking about someone else, what would you say?
That's a pretty stupid question, but I'll entertain it. I consider myself a pretty good looking guy; Dark, shoulder length hair, chiseled facial features, pale skinned. I'm around 5'10, 175 pounds, and I have cybernetic arms.

What is your race/species? Now this is a good one. Mom was Human and Pops was a Alulan, they're union produced the man you see today; More human-like features with my spiky appendage here.

Place of birth? I was born in a small village outside of Nahatsu called Oldwyn, one of many villages formerly tasked with creating Calidonan technology.

Formerly? Villagers getting snatched up by disturbed spirits, the leakage of unstable magic; the plants were eventually shut down.

Where do you live? Zanzaria

How do you handle anger? Are you slow to anger or easy to annoy? Are
people afraid of you, and if so is this justified?
I usually keep my cool, but when crossed I can be quite the ruthless one.

What are your primary and secondary goals? My number one priority, as most members of The Rebellion is to put an end to the Calidonan Supremacy. All others will be fulfilled by achieving the first.

What is your level of education? Has what you have been obtained by
'street smarts' or 'book smarts'? A mix of both. Growing up I was an apprentice to the leading engineer in the village, the rest came from living on the streets after being orphaned.

What particular talents or traits do you possess? Innate mechanical intuition, skilled armed and unarmed combatant.

Known Languages? Misranae and Terran English.
Lures. Expensive or advanced technology.
Ineptities. The esoteric side of magic, women.
Temperament? Phlegmatic
Any Hobbies? Tinkering, fighting the Supremacy.
Pet Peeves. Racists, xenophobes, homophobes.
Something you consider taboo. Killing a child.

Means of communication Untraceable phone
Criminal Record? Murder, Battery, Conspiracy, Kidnapping
Means of Transportation Modified Sajeera, equipped with two light energy cannons and one mounted rapid-fire gun.
That's all the questions I have for you. Cool, see you around.

So begins...

"Annd that should do it." Yasva said to himself. He was finally done tuning his cybernetics and it was time to go test them out. After probing the length of his robotic arm Koren hastily packed up his supplies and headed out the door. Once outside Yasva strolled to the driver's side of his Sajeera. He stepped inside obsidian hovercraft and placed one hand on the center panel, causing the sleek piece of machinery to spring to life.

"To the range I go." The virtually inaudible vehicle lifted itself into the air and jetted in the direction of his desired location. The trip didn't take long; speed was just one of the things augmented during Koren recent modifications. Upon arriving, the Sajeera descended vertically on a relatively flat piece of land. The Misranan hopped out of the cockpit, hurried out onto the field, and armed himself.

His metalline arms transformed suddenly, taking the shape of a medium-sized cannon on each. The nozzle of the weapons began to emit a brilliant yellow light as ambient Magick was pulled from the atmosphere, providing a constant flow of energy. Once his weapons were primed, he let loose. The sound boomed throughout the area as wide beams of energy exploded from the barrel. It took several seconds of cannon fire for him to feel content.

"Great, they're working much better than before." The targets that stood at the end of the field were completely destroyed, having put up very little resistance against his advanced cybernetics.

"My, my."

A familiar pounding of bear-sized feet upon the ground were audible enough. Most ATWs made the same sound. It was common, especially in a place like Misrana. This one, however, was not a popular make, simply because of its size. It was smaller than most, meant for being agile, to dodge and move quickly to be a difficult target. The armored plates were jet black, along with the skin of its organic joints. The snout was pointed and thin, and its legs slender. On its back was a rider who rose princess-style, if only to get a better view of the man who she was circling.

Josai Toye was well known within Trashtown. Not many knew her as a spy, but those that did never quite believed it. She was too outgoing, too happy. She couldn't keep a secret if she tried. She was merely a soldier. That just who Josai Toye was. And that's who came to a stop behind this young man. Her brown bangs flopped into her face, and she combed her fingers through it to be able to take a gander at him with dark purple eyes.

"Well, won't you look at that?" she grinned, giving him a wink. "Trying out some new weapons? I shouldn't be surprised. Trashtown is filled with you guys." She hopped down from the back of the ATW, which curled up and sat on its legs. "Who might you be? Mabon never told me of any new, brilliant faces around these parts."

"Testing out the Repulsor Rays yeah." he shifted his gaze to the armored ATW, and then to its rider. The cannons shifted back to their original shape and size as she approached. "Yasva Koren." the Misranan looked the slender brunette, silently admiring any visible weapons.

The blanket of litter rustled underneath his feet as he stepped forward, hand extended for a firm shake. "Yeah, I don't get out much." He normally operated outside of Trashtown, and when he was here, he was always inside his shack working on some new invention.

"If you've come to get some practice in, you're gonna have to wait until someone replaces the targets.. I got a little carried away." he pointed toward what remained of the stationary targets. The smell of super-heated metal was still fresh.

She reached out to grab his hand. "Josai. Nice to meet you," she replied.

The woman was not particularly decked out. A stretchy, form-fitting pair of pants, a tank top with a few pockets, a glove that ran up one arm, which was undoubtedly a glove fitted with capsules for M-vials. Red tubes that still faintly carried traces of used magic glowed from the attachments that ran all the way up to her elbow. Most of her other weapons were on the ATW, out of sight. She didn't need to show off.

"I'll get Mabon right on that, if he's still around this week," snickered Josai. "Good job demolishing the target zone. I know quite a few people who'll be happy about that." Her eyes nearly rolled. "So you called them...Repsulor Rays. How do those work?"

Koren held one arm parallel with the ground, motioning toward the device at its center. It was a cylindrical component erected about half an inch from the surrounding metal. "This is a gadget I created a few months ago." he apprised, "Instead of using Magic stored in traditional capsules, it pulls it straight from the air."

This Energy Conversion Unit(E.C.U) rose an inch or two, exposing the crystalline tubes that arced along its inner chamber. "Instead of using the magic itself as a source, it gets broken down and converted into different forms of energy." Koren continued to explain the workings of the device. Although usually a man of few words, he could talk for hours about technology.

Josai seemed genuinely interested. Her fingers reached out to hover over the tech. Her eyes lifted to his face. "May I? I have no cybernetic implants, myself, but my fascination knows no bounds." She beamed up at him. "I'm also a bit tech savvy, myself. It's a bit hard to live in Trashtown for any length of time and not pick up something here and there."

The ATW stood up on its legs and shook, much in the same behavior of any organic mammal. The large vehicle sauntered over, circling behind Koren.

"Ah, sorry. Tyst, naturally, is curious, as well. Anything that can convert magic that easily and quickly is useful!"

Koren shrugged his shoulders upon hearing her request, raising his arm toward her. "Feel free, I'll answer any questions you have." He lowered his gaze, observing her carefully with olive eyes. Besides the A.C.U, the cybernetic arm was entirely smooth; a meticulous blend to produce a highly durable alloy.

"Yeah, I plan on making lesser models and distributing them to the rebel army." He explained.

Josai's fingers carefully ran down the man's arm, delicately feathering the skin. "This is excellent. You did it all yourself? I've seen very few designs this seamless. It must have been difficult to do."

Tyst let out a low rumble from her chest. There was a voice- smooth, female, and uppity:

"Intriguing that he might keep it all to himself."

"Everything except the attaching process." he added, looking around upon hearing another voice. There was no one other than Josai, Tyst, and himself; leaving one possibility. I didn't know they could speak. "Why wouldn't I keep the best model for myself?" he shot the duo an interrogative stare, "I am the creator after all."

Besides, the rebels wouldn't be getting seriously inferior models; just ones missing some of the deluxe features. "On another note, I could use a hand back at my shop. You said you're tech-savvy, so how's about it?"

"That would be a bit difficult, wouldn't it?" Josai said, drawing back from him. One of her hands dropped at her side, and the other propped itself up onto her hip. She lifted a hand to figuratively brush off the ATW.

"Don't mind Tyst. She's got a problem with being friendly. It's not in her programming."

"I don't have the soul for it."

Josai smiled through her annoyance. "That's the problem with spirit infused ATWs, I suppose. They can't keep their opinions to themselves." One hand came up to rub the back of her neck. "Help, you said? Well..."

She had one more day before she departed from Trashtown. She could do this.

"Very well."

Koren simply nodded in response to her question before moving over to his Sajeera. "Great, just follow me." He didn't see the point of waiting around any longer. The cyborg hopped into the driver's seat of his vehicle and once again placed a hand on the dash to turn it on.

The protective glass top closed over the cockpit, sealing him off from everything outside. It hovered just a few feet above the ground, waiting until Josai mounted her ATW to begin the trip back to his shop.

He wouldn't even have to wait. Already, Josai had boarded Tyst, and the feline cyborg began to rapidly transform into a tightly designed, gorgeous motorcycle. Tyst's engines purred.

"Ready when you are! Don't think that we won't be able to catch up, either!"

Great, he thought, The perfect opportunity for me to see just how fast this baby can go. The cyborg's hands hastily moved across the fully touchscreen dash, punching in the desired actions for his vehicle. "Better keep up!" he shouted, "I won't come looking for you if you get left behind!" The Batoid-esque hovercraft took flight, gradually increasing its speed as it departed. Despite the higher speeds made accessible by his recent tune-ups, the Sajeera still managed to fly smoothly. Koren made sure to stay close to the ground so he wouldn't loose sight of Josai and her ATW. Having already entered the coordinates to his Trashtown abode, Koren leaned back as far as his seat would permit.

"Be sure to try and stay ahead so I don't have to slow down and wait!" she retorted with a smirk. The motorcycle roared down after him, building speed as it went. The smooth, thin design of the vehicle decreased its air resistance. Josai and Tyst zipped through the piles of trash and turned with a stunning agility. Both drivers had known one another a long time, long enough to of gotten used to one another. They worked together with the turns and their balance.

Koren and his Sajeera weaved through the maze of trash little difficulty, occasionally bumping into a pile in the hopes that Josai ran into it. With the speed at which they were moving, the trip only lasted about five minutes. As his housing complex appeared in the distance he gradually reduced the Sajeera's speed until it hovered in place in his front yard. Once it powered down, the sleek hovercraft rested on the softened piles of garbage.

"Pretty nice ride you got there." Koren feet made a soft 'pat' against the ground when he jumped out of the cruiser. He fetched his keys from his coat pocket and opened the door, stepping aside to let her in. It wasn't the largest joint, but he made due. Most of the space was taken up by shelves of books and various gadgets, a small area sectioned off for when he wasn't working. It had a working tv and a mini-fridge filled to the brim with his favorite drinks and snacks. "Welcome welcome." he said while closing and locking the door behind her.

The motorcycle skidded to a stop, transforming mid-skim into the Callandaline Walker. Josai leaped from Tyst's back and landed onto her feet. "Why, thank you. Tyst is stolen goods, so she ought to be."

The ATW growled in reply, causing Josai to smirk. She walked past her and toward the garage. She put her hands on her hips. "Very nice. Simple. Comfortable. Nothing over glorious or disgustingly trashy. Just perfect." She nodded. "What is it you needed help with, now?"

"Well I've been working on this new invention." he said to Josai while moving to fetch a sleek metal suitcase from his desk. Koren set the suitcase on the floor and opened it with an audible 'click'. Sitting inside was a cylindrical device of simple design, which he carefully lifted from the suitcase's interior and stood up on the wooden floor.

"My intent is for it to erect an energy field capable of disrupting external magic." he continued, "But whenever I try this happens." Koren directed her attention to the device sitting before her and pressed the button. The metallic gadget hummed lightly as it came to life, drawing ambient magic from the air.

Soon enough a faint orange field of energy formed around Yasva. "Now observe." Koren raised one of his metallic arms, and fired a concentrated blast of energy toward the field that surrounded him. It dissipated on contact. "It's no good if rebels can't fire from inside it, they're just sitting ducks."

Josai watched with light intrigue, fingers up to her chin. She nodded after she saw that the problem. "Ah, yes. From my knowledge, there are some outside forces which have been able to figure out this concept and use it. You know the attack we had by the Aschen a few months ago? They used those kinds of shields. We were able to penetrate them, but they were still bothersome. I can't access any of the information that the Nahatsan Military got from that battle, however, so I don't know how they were able to pull it off."

The spy mused for a few long moments. "Perhaps something we can fire around? An energy field that doesn't completely envelop the user?"

"Yeah...yeah, that could work." he shook a pointed figure toward her while moving over to his desk. Fetching the pencil and notebook sitting atop his closed laptop, Yasva started to scribble on the blank pad. When he was finished, he tossed the small notepad toward her.

On the paper was a sketch of the portable gadget projecting an arcing shield in front of a stick figure soldier. "They can fire around the shields and take cover when needed." he explained, "I might make them into throwing disks to reduce the time it takes to deploy them."

He leaned back on the edge of the desk and looked her up and down. "You know I forgot to ask." he said, "You're apart of the rebellion, what's your trade?" She didn't seem to be the building type like he was.

#, as written by Gasmask
Hassan navigated the garbage of Trashtown with remarkable ease, he'd picked up the familiar noises of gunfire and roar of ATW's. If there were enemies in the heart of the rebellion, they needed to inform the girl. Hassan's antennas flicked out of his red shawl, bowing underneath a broken wreck and sliding down a hill of trash.

Hassan perched upon a mound of discarded luggage and stared at the home of the inventor Yasva. Yasva wasn't someone that the spirits knew, and it caused their plasmatic fluid inside their metal skull to curdle. Someone he didn't know had established a home just outside his usual prowling area.

The vibrant light of their three-eyed optic on the left of host's skull clicked around in a circle and the machine gave a curious trill. This wasn't enough to call into the girl with, they needed to know more. The spirit sunk down into a three-legged gait, hoping to remain unseen as it scampered across the ground and stopped short infront of Tryst.

Tryst, they knew, if only barely. The host raised it's three-clawed hand and put it in-front of it's skull and then pointed at the door, moving it's head from side to side. "Inquire safety of the Toye?" It whispered to the cyborg feline. Hassan's voice sounded like someone was quickly changing radio talk stations.
