Primary Tech:

Cybernetics:
The Taiyou are quite adept at cybernetic technology, and it is seen in nearly every facet of Taiyou society. Taiyou Cybernetics are used to augment humans, resulting in the creation of Cyborgs, thinking tanks, superior AI, and enhancements to the human brain. Taiyou computers are generally lightning fast and utilize a blend between a quantum medium, and superconducting filament threading CPUs.

Through this near unparalleled understanding of Cybernetics, the line between man and machine in the Taiyou world is blurred to the point where they could be considered one in the same.

Secondary Tech:

Nanotechnology:
Taiyou Nanotechnology is second to none, with the capability to regenerate damage both biological, and mechanical. Taiyou nanotechnology is utilized in a variety of applications, from construction, to medical applications, to weapons. The Taiyou are the only known nation to develop a viable nanotechnology based shield system.

Uniforms of the Taiyou

Conscript

Conscript Uniform:

The Conscript uniform is the common identifying uniform for basic soldiers and Taiyou conscripts. The single breasted tunic had a stand and fall collar, five buttons which ran down the front and two, or more usually, four internal pockets with scalloped flaps. Long trousers or pantaloons were worn as standard along with the puttees and tapes. All except mounted troops (who wore breeches and high leather boots) wore this uniform with horsehide, pigskin or leather ankle-boots. The boots had either a hobnailed hard leather sole with metal heel J-cleat or a rubber sole with rubber cleats. When off duty, soldiers could wear tabis. A collarless wool or cotton white, grey or light green under shirt was worn under the tunic. This had one or two patch breast pockets with buttoned flaps, most had only a single pocket on the left breast. A khaki cotton shirt with stand and fall collar and two breast pockets could be worn in warm climates, with or without the tunic. The flat-topped peaked cap was replaced by a cloth field cap with a short leather or (more usually) cloth peak. Originally produced in khaki it was later produced in various shades of green ranging from grey-green to a dark green.

Conscript Helmets:

The Conscript's helmet is officially called tetsubo (steel cap) but was called tetsukabuto (Steel Helmet) by troops. It was made in the shape of a dome with a short protruding rim all the way around it (the paratroop version only had a short brim in the front). This helmet was made of a thin inferior chrome-molybdenum steel with many proving to be very fragile, being easily pierced by shrapnel and/or gunfire. A star (or anchor for the ITN) was soldered to the front and the helmet and star were painted mustard khaki, or dark green. They were sometimes whitewashed in the winter. A tan, khaki or olive-green two layer, fiber reinforced linen cover was available with a yellow star sewn on the front. The helmet was secured to the head by an elaborate set of straps descended from those of the Kabuto samurai helmet. It was also able to be worn over a reversed field cap.

Conscript Body Armor:
The Conscript/Banzai Warrior's body armor system consists of an Outer Tactical Vest, with pockets where thin nanosteel ballistic plates, or suicide explosives could be inserted. The OTV features a carrier shell, and three main nanosteel ballistic panel inserts (left and right side panels, and a rear back panel), which are augmented with a finely woven Kevlar fiber.

Infantry

Infantry Uniform
The Taiyou infantry uniform consists of a dark green, camouflage, or pixel camouflage BDU Cut uniform. In contrast to the cheap, poorly made Conscript/Banzai warrior uniforms, the Taiyou infantry uniform is made of much more modernized materials and in modernized cuts, and are identified by the Soldier's collar tabs, shoulder patches, and other insignia. The Uniform was a simple button down jacket, with two breast pockets, and two abdominal pockets for storage. The Uniform consisted of matching trouser, which is worn with a two-inch nylon web belt, and features Velcro pouches for knee pad inserts, two forward-tilted thigh storage pockets with elastic drawstring and Velcro for closure during movement, and two calf storage pockets one on each pant leg with a Velcro closure. In addition, the pants legs can be bloused and must not extend past the third eyelet of the boots as per Army regulations. Taiyou infantry uniforms are also further augmented with flame resistant materials.

Infantry Helmet:
The Taiyou infantry helmet is made from a modular communications styled helmet. Infantry helmets come equipped with mounting brackets for communication and night vision equipment, as well as special Cyberbrain adapters for Cyberbrain interface. The Helmet is constructed of a Nanosteel core, wrapped in a hard woven Kevlar composite material, and securely fastened by a set of elaborate straps similar to that of a Kobuto helmet.

Infantry Body Armor:
Taiyou Infantry body armor consists of a modified Tactical Armor Vest loadout, with Ceramic-Nanosteel composite inserts, load bearing snaps for the attachment of various equipment, and protection from the front, side, and back through Kevlar and flexible nanosteel inserts.
