The city of Limni was not vast, but it was not very small, either. Buildings did not rise high, and the largest was only about five stories. Many of them were made with stone, and had glass tightly sealed over windows. Markets came in a generous abundance along multiple streets. Vendors had their tables set up and their commodities set out. Raw meats, spices, fruits, and other such ingredients mixed their scents and were splayed out for all to see. Vibrant cloths were displayed on another street, along with jewelry.

The Sandwalker that held Jordyn and Pavi swiftly rode toward the city, stopping at a large gate that circled the whole place. "Here we are," said the cyborg as the Sandwalker lowered its body to the ground to let them out. They would be stopped at the gates by several guards.

Jordyn dismounted last, halting abruptly when stopped by the guards. Her HUD started going crazy, scanning weapons, armor if they wore any, whatever gear was immediately visible on their person and generating threat assessments. The nearest one rated the highest and Jordyn's stance shifted subtly, subconsciously readying in case he tried anything.
She didn't know what to expect from these men and their weapon configurations were unknown to her, making the assessments inaccurate and giving her a feeling of unease.

The guards wore the bright reds of their uniform, with yellow cowls wrapped around their shoulders and steely helmets on their heads. In one hand they carried long golden spears dotted with red M-Vials. They looked ahead stoically.
"This woman is Jordyn. She crashed in the desert several miles from here and, allegedly, has no memory of why she is here and what she was doing beforehand."
The guards exchanged glances, and something seemed to be communicated between them. They nodded and began to lead them just inside the walls, to a small, narrow building made from the same smooth, sandy stone that made up the rest of the buildings in Limni. There, inside, was a plethora of complicated machinery, one that was just a metal box with a lot of flashy lights. They directed her toward that.
"This is a scanner, Jordyn. It's just going to take a few readings of your biological structure and cybernetic implants," said Pavi.

Jordyn hesitated before stepping forward onto the box. She stood there in silent nervousness, waiting. Her HUD had told her the guards were a minimal threat at a distance as long as one avoided the tips of their spears there was little trouble to be had from them.

The scanner clicked on once Jordyn stilled within it. The small room she was in would emanate a white glow, which would fill the space completely. She would feel almost weightless as the light searched her, sending off little waves to bounce off of her body and return it to the machine so that it could determine, or at least try to determine, what she was made of.
[Warning: Scan detected.] flashed before Jordyn's eyes as she lifted off the floor. "What? What's going on?" she asked, turning slightly and finding herself spinning a bit. Once the scans progressed beneath her skin it was clear she was human with some form of implant. However the implants registered as both technological and as a separate organism.

Jordyn looked at her right arm in shock as a dark blue and white material extruded through her skin, wrapping around her hand and forearm, tearing the sleeve of her stasis suit as it formed. She found herself pulled into action as she drove this now armored fist through the square device on the floor, intent on shutting if off.

"Turn off the scan," Pavi ordered the guards. "Now. Now!"
One hurried and pulled the switch. The square device on the floor flickered and then died. The machine hummed down. Pavi slowly approached Jordyn with one of her hands raised. "Jordyn. Are you alright?" came her inquiry. "Disarm yourself. We are not going to hurt you." Even as she spoke, one of the guards had his spearhead aimed toward Jordyn from his spot beside Pavi. "Calm down."
One hurried and pulled the switch. The square device on the floor flickered and then died. The machine hummed down. Pavi slowly approached Jordyn with one of her hands raised. "Jordyn. Jordyn whirled to face her, fist raised before she saw who it was and she backed off, holding her arm against her side. "I...I don't know what happened." she said, looking down at her armed fist, slowly unclenching her fingers. It was a few moments for her leaning against the wall as the armor began to dissolve and sink back under her skin, making her wince at the slight pain as well as just the unnerving sensation.
Pavi was absolutely still when Jordyn faced her threateningly. Her eyes gently rested on the girl as she slumped. It took Pavi several long moments to approach her, using the same hand she had raised earlier to try and brush Jordyn's shoulder, then firmly, but not harshly, grasp it. "Are you alright?" she asked her. "You are not hurt?"
"It stings a little." she replied, looking at her now normal looking arm. "I don't know what that was...why I did that." she said. It was a defense mechanism in the armor itself, as it was supposed to maintain secrecy regarding its capabilities and if possible its existence. The latter was now out in the open to some degree.
"... I see," muttered Pavi, trying to lead her out of the area. "Do not panic. We might have to keep you on strict watch. I need to confirm that was not an attempt to harm any one of us. As much as I would like to take that on your word, the circumstance asks me to be more cautious. Understood?"
The two guards were on end, already calling backup despite Pavi's capabilities. People did not just attack at random like that. Not with such intent. It did not matter.

Jason looked at the ring he was wearing. It was glowing. "She's close. Only a few miles left to go..." he muttered. He continued to run through the city. I hope we can start over... he thought. He jumped up, and instead of falling back to the ground, the air lifted him up, almost as if he was controlling it, and sped through the city with great speed.
