A smirk played across the pale face of Asakuno, now suddenly visible as he tossed back the curtain of gold. He was ready for the little game his opponent would play, for most of his opponents had begun like this. Asa did little more than just rising to his feet, allowing the shuriken to strike the black leather cuirass harmlessly in his stomach. Although it was harmless, it had struck a little lower than expected, and threw Asa off by maybe half a step. Cursing his hesitation, and knowing it could easily kill him, Asa drew his hand-and-a-half sword, Helvetii. He held the blade before his face in his left hand, right hand left free for balance, among other things. With his movements so quick, Asa could have charged, but again, he opted to be patient, and wait for the speed of his opponent to allow for the advantage.
