Theme Song: Hollywood Undead - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_HHm9ki3JI

We are young, we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, we don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

I see the children in the rain like the parade before the pain
I see the love, I see the hate, I see this world that we can make
I see the life, I see the sky, give it all to see you fly
Yes, we wave this flag of hatred but you're the ones who made it

Watch the beauty of all our lies passing right before my eyes
I hear the hate in all your words, all the wars to make us hurt
We get so sick of so sick, we never wanted all this
Medication for the kids with no reason to live

So we march to the drums of the dammed as we come
Watch it burn in the sun, we are numb

We are young, we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, we don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

As we walk among these shadows, in these streets, this fields of battle
Take it up, we wear the medal, raise your hands with burning candles
Hear us whisper in the dark, in the rain you see the spark
Feel the beating of our hearts, fleeting hope as we depart

All together, walk alone against all we've ever known
All we've ever really wanted was a place to call our home
But you take all we are, the innocence of our hearts
Made to kneel before the alter as you tear us apart

So we march to the drums of the dammed as we come
Watch it burn in the sun, we are numb

We are young, we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, we don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

We are young, we have heart
Born in this world as it all falls apart
We are strong, we don't belong
Born in this world as it all falls apart

Expert level martial artist: Even during they day and in non urban environments he is an expert martial artist having mastered many forms of combat.
*Arch Nemesis: The Teen Titans. He feels as if they are incapable of saving Jump City and that they need to step out of the way and let a real hero help save everyone.

Family: None, the city took them.
History: When he was young muggers killed his younger sister. His parents were devastated by this. His father turned to alcoholism, a habit that would eventually serve to end his life in a drunk driving accident. After his father's death his mother had no way to support the family, she resorted to prostitution to put food on the table for him. She was treated terribly and lived a miserable life, until an unsatisfied customer beat her to within an inch of her life and she refused to get medical treatment for fear of prosecution. The scum of this city has taken his family, and he will cleanse this city. When he made that vow in the middle of the night on his 15th birthday something strange happened, he felt stronger, he ran faster. He was able to wall run and use other parkour techniques he had no knowledge of before. Furthermore as a car passed by him leaving a cloud of exhaust in his face, instead of coughing he was unaffected, and as he willed the exhaust cloud to dissipate it did. With his new found powers he would stop the corruption of the city. The Teen Titans are too soft on the villians and evil within Jump City's borders, a mistake he will not make.

Other: His night empowerment abilities can only heal minor injuries allowing him to keep fighting despite getting hurt. His Urban Empowerment abilities allow him to control pollution and toxic substances but he cannot create them, they must exist in order for him to manipulate them.

So begins...

The Night Watcher as he was known by those few criminals who had been unlucky enough to meet him, woke up approximately an hour before the sun was to set. He took his time dressing in dark but normal clothing. He didn't like to stand out, this city didn't need a savoir it needed someone to clean it up, only a savoir or a hero wears a costume and mask, he was something different. He wanted to blend into the crowd be one with everyone else appearing only when needed and disappearing just as fast. These were the powers the night, and the city had given him, and he would use them to save the city that had taken his family. Since the Titans left the city has become a hell hole, a greater hive of scum and villainy could not be found. The Night Watcher checks his security systems and sees everything is in order "Yet another uneventful day, perhaps the night will be more entertaining" he says quietly to himself as he activates his city surveillance system, tapping into the city's traffics camera's and businesses surveillance cams. From his outpost in the old observatory, previously inhabited by Professor Chang, he can see the entire city, watching for any disturbance in the night. He has converted most of Chang's old equipment to suit his own needs, turning the telescope that Chang used for a laser, back into a telescope. Using the computers to power and display his surveillance systems. Further more be installed a state of the art security system to keep others out of his home, as he wouldn't want anyone getting their hands on his equipment. Everything he did he did for a reason, keeping some of Chang's equipment in tact was done purposely, he can use it to to analyze evidence should he ever need to. The weapons and illegal materials however, The Night Watcher decided to destroy those, no need for these to be used by anyone, I would rather save the city with my hands, the city should be saved by one of its own. Not some faceless "hero" hiding behind a mask he thinks, remembering what he had said to himself when he found the observatory and locked away the weapons. He returned his attention to the many monitors in the main room of the observatory. He saw a lot of the same stuff he saw every night, fighting between a few people, drug use and sale, rape, prostitution, more of the same filth he saw every night. He needs to go fix it but he doesn't know where to begin.

"I suppose Ill help the women and children tonight, at least there is hope for some of them." He says with a sigh, jumping out of a window and heading into the city. He runs along the roof tops of tall buildings not afraid of falling, the city will guide him to the correct path as it always does. As he patrols the night he sees a young girl, she looked no older than he, on the corner of a street dressed in revealing clothes. The Night Watcher drops down to street level a block away and walks by her, "Hey hun, looking for some fun tonight?" she asks him with a wink. "What are you doing with your life? Do you enjoy this life? I know you're miserable, the men you spend your nights with treat you with no respect. You deserve respect, you deserve better than this, go home to your mother and father, or whatever family it is you have run away from and let them help you. Return to school and make something of yourself." She was stunned for a moment before responding "What gives you the right to ask me these questions? You're no older than me, and you are walking through the same shady part of town that I am, why should I listen to you?" He is not at all stunned by her direct question and responds quite easily "That is quite simple, I came here to help you. My mother died doing what you are doing, it's a miserable life, one I don't want to see anyone else go through so please try and help yourself" She nods not saying anything and at that he scurries up a nearby fire escape making his way back to the rooftops but before he get's far he hears her call up to him again "What's your name?"She asks him, and he smiles at her "They call me The Night Watcher, it is my duty to watch over the city in the night protecting the innocent and helping those that I can." He said leaving her as he ran across rooftops disappearing into the Night.

The Night Watcher watched the young girl he talked to as she returned to her home, following silently on the rooftops to avoid being detected, he was good at that. Just after she walked in her door the Night Watcher's phone began to vibrate, well it wasn't really a phone cause he had no one to call, but it was however a connection to his systems back in the observatory. He opened the phone noticing the alert, there were two big things he needed to take care of, and he could do them both. First he needed to go help a woman who was in the wrong part of town. He arrived at an alley in the worst part of town, there he saw a woman being backed up against the wall by three men, they were all laughing and yelling like they hadn't a care in the world. He calls down from the roof top he is on at them "Well hello there, are we planning on letting the young lady go? I really don't feel like finding out what will happen to you if you try anything", at the sudden appearance of a new voice they all look up at him "What the hell do you want?" one of them screamed, "Beat it! She's ours!" yet another responded, "Fine we'll do this the hard way." The night watcher responded monotonously. He jumps down and rushes the group before they know what happened one of them is kicked in the face and after falling he has a boot on his throat, the other two watch in horror "Well you guys have control of his life, if you leave, he'll be fine, if you decide you still want this young woman, I might hurt him when I run to stop you." They hesitate for a moment and then run out of the alley, the Night Watcher takes his foot of the mans neck and lets him run as well, when they got about half a block away the Night Watcher smiled as he focused himself, separating the carbon dioxide from the rest of the air and gathering enough to quickly suffocate the three men, he then sends the CO2 at the men forcing them to inhale it. They begin coughing and then shortly after they stop and their bodies go limp. "Bastards got what they deserved" he thought to himself as he turned back into the alley. The woman they were attempting to assault was still there, crying in the corner. "Are you alright?" He asked, "They can't hurt you anymore." he said as he reached out his hand to help her up. "Who...Who are you?" she asked frightened. "I am the Night Watcher, it is my duty to protect this city, to clean up the scum and save the innocent. Simply put I am here to help." he said to her as she took his hand and got up. She then smiled at him "Thank you" she said but he simply nodded his reply and climbed back up to the rooftops. He had something else to check on. The security and surveillance systems had detected massive fighting taking place not far from were he was. He made his way quickly on the rooftops and he spotted 5 people fighting drones of some kind, Well this is not normal he thought to himself as he watched the fight. He studied their movements and tactics learning what he could from how they fought I cannot take them all alone, I'm not strong enough. He determined as he left heading back to the observatory.

"Thanks Miss Melanie, I'm a bit tired, but I should be able to protect the both of us fer now. If I was physically able, I'd return yer manners, but for now, I've got me hands full. Not that I be complainin' or anything. The name's Pulse, since I am a tried and true Super, Hero." Pulse said, shifting the girl in his arms so that she wouldn't fall from his hands. His self-assigned title of 'super-hero' drew a small smile on Melanie's lips. Yeah, they were all kind of acting like super-heroes weren't they? Maybe after this fight was over that's what they could be... super-heroes.

For the moment though she gave a small laugh and tipped her head slightly in his direction. "That's alright, I understand. It's nice to fight beside you Pulse. If you think you can protect her-" Melanie gestured at the girl who was laying limp in Pulse's arms, "Then I'll leave her to you, but if you need help-"

Melanie needn't waste her breath as a couple of the droids approached Pulse and he noticed them and a wide grin spread over his face. "Best be backin up Miss, no idea how awesome this will be, oh, it would be in very good interest to cover your ears." He took a small breath in after his weapons (at least, that's what Melanie assumed they were) connected to eachother, forming a large instrament which he breathed into. It took but a few moments but the sound quickly reached an almost unearthly volume her sensors couldn't even pick up on. Were she human she would have heard it, but because she was not she could only feel the powerful virbrations. The robot almost seemed to vibrate itself apart, only leaving the bomb a few feet away. Pulse just managed to cover it with this now titan Didgeridoo, and watched as the blast was completely expelled out of the mouth piece.

"Now that," He announced with a slight smirk, "Is going to taste terrible." Melanie laughed at this. Pulse who have no problem handling himself and protecting the girl. White seemed to be enjoying himself. Sprouse, who'd seen White, had appearently started a competition with the latter, for it seemed every time White smashed a drone, Livewire would too. Well, Melanie had never thought that having a little fun on the battle field was a bad thing. The other thing she noticed which she hadn't picked up on were two unfamiliar heat signatures; one male one female, both leaving the area and going in opposite directions. She glanced around to identify them but they were both already hidden in the shadows which hindered her vision since White had managed to damage her night vision.

Speaking on damage, Melanie scanned the area. Two bots were left- okay, scratch that, one (White had accidently taken one out with a flying tree branch) but one would be enough. Leaping towards him he didn't even have enough time to duck before she'd drained his power and put it into her own reserves which she was tapping into now, as well as removing his microchip and storing it along with the two or three others. Now the park was bare besides the group of them and various robotic parts scattered everywhere. She'd likely come by and pick up some of the remaining pieces later when there were less... well, people.

Now that the robots had been destroyed and the fighting had ceased she looked between her companions. They'd done very well, fighting along side herself. Melanie knew she would have been unable to take on the droids in her condition without them. So she owed them her life at the least. Besides, Pulse had just crashed into earth (so it seemed) and he was holding a girl who'd blacked out durning the fight. White had no home and Melanie was apperently the only one who would understand him. Livewire, well, he'd been the first of the group to stand beside her... As her golden gaze slid from one person to the next she kept thinking out the favor she owed them all and oddly enough, found herself speaking.

"Um... Thanks you guys... I... I guess I couldn't really have won this without you." Melanie said, giving a small, sheepish grin. If she could blush, she'd be blushing hard core. "I really can't thank you enough. But-" Melanie hesitated, then spoke quickly, almost not being able to process her own words, "But would you like to help me? Fight crime, I mean. Like, as a group maybe...?" Part of Melanie wanted to run away and hide in the tower, the other part wanted them to be waiting there. Speaking to White she said, "WHITE NEED HOME? WHITE COME LIVE WITH MELON. MELON HAVE GOOD HOME. MELON SHARE AND WHITE HELP TWO LEGS. LOTS MORE RED FOOD." then turned to the others. "I-I have a nice little place, big enough to fit all of us. She could probably use medical care," Melanie gestured to the girl in Pulse's arms, "and everyone needs a place to call home, right? Come with me, and... we could be a Team!"

After watching the fight for a short while The Night Watcher left, the drones were pitiful and even these kids could handle it. He made his way back to his observatory. Upon arriving he checked his surveillance and security systems and found nothing unusual. After deciding everything was fine he recalled the footage his system had caught of the kid's battle. "Can't hurt to learn more about how they fight, I'm gonna have to teach them this is my city soon after all." he said to himself. He watched the battle taking note of how each member fought, he took particular interest in the one who rode in some kind of machine, "I wonder if I can use its exhaust with my powers." He thought and finally he decided it was time for his night to end, he had to be awake during the day tomorrow.

The next day The Night Watcher sat at an intersection watching cars drive by. Eventually the light turned red and a single car stopped. The Night Watcher smiled as this was his chance, he focused and began collecting the car exhaust in a cloud at the tailpipe. After he felt he had enough he moved the cloud to the front of the car near the air intake. The car's engine began to inhale the noxious fumes it sputtered and coughed eventually stalling out all together. The Night Watcher smiled it does work. He returned to the observatory satisfied.

The Night Watcher was sitting in his study relaxing when his security systems started going off like crazy. He ran to the security rooms and checked the monitors. They had picked up a broadcast from the courthouse. He presses a few buttons on one of they keyboards and a picture came up on the largest monitor. -- The lights are all turned off, the only real sources of light are the semi-drawn shades, creating a feeling of darkness and general eeriness. Suddenly there is a sound of grunting, followed by a heavy thud, and finally, a voice, clear as a bell. "Ahh... It appears I'm live. Welcome, Jump City, to my courtroom. As you can see, court is now in session." The lights flick on and camera is focused on a heavily beaten Judge Ramirez. "I see you've found our defendant today." The same voice says, its owner unseen by the camera which bobs slightly, as if it's being held. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Krótos." With that, the camera appears to be set down and Krótos steps into the picture. "Hello Jump City, so glad you could join me." Krótos says slyly. "We are here today for the case of the people vs. Judge Ramirez. How does the defendant plead?" -- As the video continues to play The Night Watcher starts to type on one of his other keyboards and begins searching for this Krótos. He checks every database he has access to and finds nothing. He thinks for a minute realizing that the only database he hasn't checked yet is Titan Tower. He knows it is going to be hard so he turns back to the broadcast retrieving information the old fashioned way. -- Ramirez makes to shout, but his cries are muffled by the gag. "ENOUGH!" Krótos roars at the man in an entirely different tone of voice, one filled with anger. He deftly jumps all the way up to the Judge's podium before back handing the slime across his face, silencing him immediately. "Shush now, little one, the adults are talking. These papers are all filled with eyewitness accounts of you accepting bribes, both of currency and the flesh. Accounts of you overriding a jury's findings due to inconclusiveness are also rampant. Finally, there are even accounts of abuse and assault against minors who come to you pleading for their parents. You, my dear Piece of trash, are the lowest scum in this city and it will be my personal honor to watch the life leave your eyes." Once more Krótos smashes his fist into the face and gut of the man in the chair, knocking him unconscious. He jumps down from the podium and walks over to the camera, picking it up and holding it in front of his face, allowing the viewers a perfect shot of Krótos mask, his long hair tied up in a ponytail behind his head, falling all the way down to his shoulders. "I now turn my attention directly to you, little inhabitant of the old Titan's Tower. I know you are in there, and I want you to come here, personally. If anyone other than the Titan arrives at my door, I will kill this piece of shit and destroy the entire building. Krótos waved his detonator in front of the camera for added effect. "The clock is ticking little Titan. Unless you get here within twenty minutes, before four o'clock, I will kill the man, destroy this corrupted house of justice, and leave, striking again as often as I feel necessary. My name is Krótos, remember me now? At my hands, this city will come Crashing to its knees. Ta-ta little one." -- at that the screen turned to static. "So he has a flair for the theatrics and he's interested in the Tower as well, now I can be almost certain that there is information in the tower. It might be easier to hack if I wait until the tower is vacant." He says to himself. He begins to type away at the keyboards again, setting up his systems to search and retrieve any file or folder that mentions the word Krótos from Titan Tower, the program will activate at his command. And at that he leaves the Observatory and begins moving through the city on rooftops. He approaches the Courthouse but stays back a bit, the ground is covered in police officers outside the building. I suppose I'll wait here to watch the show. He sits low to the roof appearing to anyone below as nothing but a slight shadow as he watches the events unfold.

The Night Watcher sat on his building watching the courthouse, he looked intently at the police officers outside the courthouse who were walking around and appeared to be talking nervously. They had no idea how to handle this situation, usually they would simply ignore a criminal until after his crime and then take the bribe, but this Krótos was different, he seemed to despise these actions. The police were completely clueless in a situation where they would need to actually do their job. The Night Watcher checked his watch and it read 3:56. He smiled as he thought to himself They are only proving my beliefs, they have no clue about how to fix this city and keep it safe, only proving that, that particular task falls solely on me. his thoughts were cut short when he noticed a small figure entering the building, well this is interesting he thinks to himself, his interest peaked. He then recognized her as the one who has been residing in the tower, Ah now is my time to strike he pulls out his PDA, which he has disconnected from the standard systems and is connected only to his security system back in the observatory, he uses it to access his mainframe. He executes the program he created earlier and his system begins hacking into Titan Tower searching for information on Krótos. After activating the program he accesses the local news networks to see if there is any information that he could not gather. Clark Adams, a well known local newscaster, who The Night Watcher knew was on a the payroll of the very judge who was being held hostage, which is why just how corrupt this judge is was a surprise to the public. Mr. Adams begins speaking "As promised we are giving you the most up to date information the hostage situation at the courthouse. At 3:59 a young girl was seen entering the building we assume she is the person that Krótos, the terrorist within, was requesting show up. The police refused to comment on whether or not they approve of the girl's presence, but they did nothing to stop her. Her identity at this time is unknown. The police however did respond that they are doing everything they can to end this situation without the loss of life." The Night Watcher chuckled as he heard this line, the police were doing nothing to stop the situation and he knew it. The newscaster's voice picked up again, "We have just received breaking news, there has been some kind of disturbance in the courtroom, but we are unable to ascertain what is going on, but it would appear that Krótos has received the visitor he was expecting. We will follow up with more information as we receive it. This is Clark Adams signing off." The Night Watcher glanced at the time on the PDA as he switched it off in response to Clark Adams finishing his report, it read 4:05. Nothing new here he thought as he turned his attention back to the courthouse, where just as the news report informed there seemed to be a lot of activity in the courtroom, although also as it said he was unable to see anything. This Krótos guy wants to kill the judge, and is clearly trying to make a statement, so why doesn't he just blow the fucker up already? This is going to be so much more interesting than I thought, I can't wait to see how this plays out he thinks to himself as he watches the police respond to the commotion.

Melanie's eyed hardened as Krótos turned to face her. "Well, you're here. You've even remembered my little greeting, how nice. You do seem to be a very proper girl after all." Krótos said, obviously pleased. Melanie said nothing as he went on, mockingly. "So very nice of you to join us as per our request. We were just about to begin."

Krótos pulled a staff from his belt, still holding the knives and kukiri carefully in his offhand. Melanie made note of these weapons and was carefully watching for any indication of him using these weapons as the staff snapped to its full length, followed imedeately after by his kukiri, then lastly the knives. The blade of his scythe glinted, though as Melanie scanned it she could see the blade was not sharp enough to severe metal in one blow, though human flesh was another matter entirely.

His movements were confident, meticulous as if he knew absolutely everything was going to go his way and there was absolutely nothing she could do to surprise him. He walked towards her calmly, carefully while Melanie stood her ground. Though on the outside she feinted nervousness, computers could not get nervous, only catious.

"You know what this man is, right? Do you know what he's done?" Krótos asked slowly as if she were metally deficient. Slowly he bend down and picked up the papers he had as evidence against the judge. "Accepting bribes, adultery, abuse, and assault; perhaps you need a reminder." Suddenly he threw the papers in the air around her. The good thing about being a supercomputer though was, as they fluttered to form a paper thin wall (if you'll excuse the pun) in front of him, she scanned each docment and stored the information, verifying it while her present mind focused on Krótos. He charged, his outline visable through said paper thin wall as he brought the scythe around his body, ready to swing it lengthwise and cut her in half.

Melanie was ready. She too leapt foreward, but sprung instead upwards and effectively jumped over the scythe as it swung but missed it's target. She landed delicately behind him, turning to face him and inevertly placing herself between him and the judge who was begining to gain consciousness again. "Yes, I do know what he is and I am fully aware of what he has done." Melanie replied calmly, looking directly into the sockets of Krótos' mask, "His name is Mark Ramirez, know to the common as Judge Ramirez and known to the common criminal as a man easily swayed by a large sum of money or the promise of a pretty face."

Melanie gestured to Judge Ramirez who was now fully awake, though still looked very confused. "He's a dishonest man who has commited the same crimes as those he judges without having to face the sentences he decrees because he's a criminal with that sort of power. Power over another's life." Suddenly she became very serious. "Just. Like. You." Moving in a blur she ducked down and aimed a round house kick at Krótos' ankles, seeking to make him stumble. 'I want a DNA sample,' Melanie thought as a strong and sudden wind blew the paper wall away and across the room, revieling Krótos fully, 'I want to know who or what this guy is.'

"You see it don't you? You're playing judge. You're unsadisfied and have decided to give him the death setence because of that. Sure you have your excuses and your neat little papers, but the real reason behind your decree is because getting to decide the outcome human life makes you feel powerful and that's your greatest desire Krótos. That's your ultiment goal." She spoke harshly as he was forced down and she grabbed a hold of a fist full of his hair, scanning it for any matches. "Isn't that right... Ryan O'Connell?"

With that she let go and jumped back, speaking into her communicator, "Titans- to my side!" Shouting so the audience on the other side of the camera could hear she said, "But where is the jury, Judge O'Connell? You claim the people want to rise up against this man; let them! Or are you going to follow the footsteps of the very man you seek to convict and overrule them when you know they will support the justice you claim to uphold?" Falling into a fighting stance a slender katana emerged from her large stash of weapons within Mel's robot body. "Because if you will not deliever justice, they will. If they will not, I will. And if ever I cannot, then others will rise up and take my place as heroes and defenders of Jump City."

At that moment her communicator beeped the locations of her teammates just as each one burst into the room. She could feel her heart swelling with pride in her friends and their perfect timing. It was five to one, and in the back of her mind Melanie filed away a recording of her vailent speach, making a note to watch a recording of the news and see if the camera had caught all of it.

Meanwhile, back at the tower, her systems had encountered a hacker. Hacking was something Melanie specialized in because she knew the ins and outs of computers and the web like no other human could claim to. Being hacked into was an entirely different matter though. Immedeately her systems attacked the program which was searching for anything it could find relating to Krótos as it turned out. Melanie was alerted of the situation, but being focused in another matter she told it to go by defalt. Following programing, an electric scrambler was sent out to the offending electronic, disabling it. It had no information, not being connected to a mainframe and instead used indepently, which was disappointing but not crippling. The PDA released a small spark followed by a puff of smoke before going dead. When (and if) it was restored, the messege "Try that again and all electronics within a five meter radius will have the same result" would be the only information it had collected.

The Night Watcher watched from his perch atop a nearby building as he saw three or four other people enter the building. I do believe in the his newscast this Krótos requested one Titan come to challenge him. I count at least four, maybe five now who have entered the building, this is intriguing. Will he blow up the courthouse as he threatened, if he does, I can use the debris to take care of all those corrupt 'law enforcers' down there, and he would take fall. Allowing me to continue to clean up my city. As he was thinking his PDA's emergency signal went off, That's strange I have the majority of my security system set to record so I can analyze the event when I get back to the observatory he thought as he reached for it and checked the device. "Program Error, Function: Secondary_Search failed to return any information. Press for Details" it read, he clicked on the touch screen to check the information. "Char Secondary_Search encountered a firewall and anti-virus of unknown origin and file type. Char Secondary_Search unable to locate any data on the mainframe. Click to view other functions." Once again the Night Watcher pressed the touch screen and this time a list of functions appeared on the screen.
Press a function for details:
Int Main
Char Primary_Search
Char Secondary_Search
Void Program_Concealment
Int Execution_Delay
Void Firewall_Bypass
Void Information_Storage
Void Information_Copy
Void Information_Send

The Night Watcher clicked on Char Primary_Search which brought up a new screen on his PDA which read, Function Char Primary_Search successful. Located all information containing the keyword(s) "Krótos". He then returns to the previous screen and clicks on Void Program_Concealment the PDA then displayed, "Function Void Program_Concealment partially successful, program was detected but was able to fulfill the function Primary_Search before being blocked form further access. His next location was Void Information_Send, this screen read "Function Void Information_Send successful. All information located, stored and copied was successfully archived in the home system mainframe without being tracked. Not ideal but at least I was able to obtain some information, I need to examine the information when I return to determine whether or not a second attack is needed. He thought as he accessed the news on his device again. Again newscaster Clark Adams' smug face appeared on the screen. "We have received news that somewhere between 2 and 9 people are in the building now combating Krótos. We have no information regarding whether or not he has explosives in the building, or if he is going to activate them, but the surrounding buildings have been evacuated as a precaution." The Night Watcher switched the device off, cutting Clark Adams' report short. Where are they getting their information, they are close than I am, and I could clearly see 3 or 4 new comers, meaning 4 or 5 people, not 9. He turned back to the courthouse to watch the events unfold, unfortunately he couldn't see anything, just blow the fucker up already...

The Night Watcher watched what appeared to be signs of struggle inside the courthouse, there was clearly a battle going on inside. "Finally, I was wondering when this punk was gonna start defending himself, now if he would just blow the shit up, I can do what I came to do." The battle goes on for a few minutes, and then he sees the five people he watched enter individually earlier, leave as a group. As the group exited the police backed away form the building. "Finally it's gonna blow!" The Night Watcher thought preparing himself to manipulate the debris. Suddenly a pillar of fire erupted straight up out of the building creating a perfect circular hole about 6 feet in diameter. "DAMMIT! That's almost no debris." The Night Watcher said to himself as he took a deep breath. Outstretched his hand towards the debris and closed his eyes. The pillar of soot that was created when the material from the roof was vaporized by the heat of the explosion, moved abnormally following his command and stopped creating a cloud above ten officers, he was hoping to take care of at least thirty five today, but ya work with what ya got. He picked this particular group because even though there were larger groups, the Chief of Police was with this group, and The Night Watcher wanted him dead more than any other corrupt cop. He took another deep breath, this time holding it, his hand, which was at this point palm out towards the cloud, moved, his fingers now pointing downward at the police officers. The cloud lowered to them, particles of soot being forced into their lungs. For good measure The Night Watcher took his other hand waved a cross the scene slowly palm out towards the group of officers. This served to remove a some of the oxygen from the area, anyone who wasn't already choking would have only felt a little light headed but for the unfortunate ten that were targeted by The Night Watcher, they began to suffocate, the soot coated the alveoli in their lungs, blocking them from absorbing oxygen, unfortunately he could not coat them entirely, but the decreased oxygen in the atmosphere meant that their damaged lungs could not absorb enough oxygen. After a few minutes they all fell to the ground, clutching their throats, the paramedics on site tried and tried but could do nothing, the air they tried to pump into their lungs was resisted, but they couldn't find the blockages. The ten officers died, suffocated by the explosion in the courthouse.

The Night Watcher exhaled slowly and reached down to his PDA turning on the news channel. Larry Jenkins's face yet again appeared on the device "We have some breaking news from the courthouse. Only moments ago five teenagers left the building with Judge Ramirez and handed him over the Chief of police, with evidence of the Judge's misdeeds. The judge was then taken to an ambulance and treated for minor wounds. Then out of no where - " The scene cuts to an image of the courthouse with a whole in the roof. "An explosion. All of the force was directed straight up creating a magnificent pillar of fire." The shot returns to Larry Jenkins. "The smoke hung in the air for a moment and then it moved, as if by magic over a group of police officers, before descending down on them. I regret to inform you that ten officers, including the Chief of Police, died tonight in the explosion, as a result of the strange movements of the debris. At the moment we have no information on how it happened, or who these five teenagers are." The Night Watcher smiled as he switched off the device and smiled, Didn't get them all, but I can make this work. He thought to himself as he ran from roof top to roof top on his way back to his observatory.

Upon arriving he knew he needed to take credit for the Chief's death, so he records a voice message, using voice altering technology to keep his identity hidden, "I am the Night Watcher, I killed those police officer's and the Chief because they are a virus plaguing my city. The police are corrupt, the justice system is fucked up, and the criminals are taking advantage of it. No one here is safe, the ordinary person is left to fend for themselves, most of them are forced into working for the criminals or dying. Prostitution or your family starving because you have no money, what decision would you make? There is no choice for most of theses people, it is my job to eliminate the criminals, all of them. Your precious boys in blue are some of the biggest offenders, but they'd never arrest themselves so I guess I'll have to serve as judge, jury, and executioner. The other criminals, the lucky ones will be left unconscious for the few just cops to clean up. The worst offenders however, have no hope for rehabilitation and will be exterminated. My city will return to it's former glory, a safe place to run your business, and raise your family. You won't have to live in fear that the vermin and scum will fuck up this city anymore." He ended the recording, played it back to himself and then burned it on to five CDs. He went out and dropped one off anonymously to each news agency in town, ensuring he wasn't spotted by camera's or any other surveillance. His package included a note saying that message was to be played on the 10 o'clock news tonight.

After dropping off the package at the last news agency, The Night Watcher checked his phone, it was 7:38 pm, he had plenty of time to peruse the information he retrieved from the Titan database. He made his way to his computer, sitting down and accessing the program he wrote earlier checking the information it received, the primary function succeeded in retrieving information on Krótos, but the program was blocked before it was able to retrieve any other important information, The Night Watcher didn't expect perfection, the Titan database was bound to be well protected. He pulled up the information on Krótos, it contained only a couple files, the most promising a video clip of a masked man, threatening the "little titan", the Night Watcher thought it odd that he only referred to one person, but couldn't figure out what it meant. Once he had gathered all of the information he could on Krótos the Night Watcher began checking his security and surveillance systems, but it was a quiet evening, the criminals were apparently frightened by today's events at the courthouse. He switches to the news at 10, just in time to see mister Larry Jenkins yet again, this time on his television. "We have some alarming information, that the police would rather we not share, but I have decided to share it with you all anyway. Now I must warn you the tape I'm about to play contains strong language, please be advised that children should change the channel now." He said before playing the audio file. The Night Watcher heard the message he recorded earlier and smiled, now they knew who he was, and what he was willing to do. "I don't know what I'm gonna do about this Krótos person, but for now I'll let him do what he wants, and I'll stop him after I've taken care of more of the cities worst criminals. Just need to figure out my next target." He said to himself relaxing in his chair.
