Samuel Lark's Story

On top of a rooftop Samuel had watched everything from a distance, from a guy torching a van, to the girl taking down a group of the corporation henchman single handedly, and the boy who had popped out of the van ready to kill. Samuel however was not concerned at all with those people, his single focus was taking down The Organization. He had been waiting for a moment like this. He knew the corporation would come by to check on the wreckage and since there were two vans in the area, they were bound to come. Samuel placed a hat on his head and covered his face with a scarf while wearing a black trench coat. He had seen to many movies and figured this would be the least obvious disguise. He casually walked outside the building as he saw two men get out of car who were dressed up in a way that screamed corporation. They walked over to the first van and reported what they saw, speaking through the phone. They then walked over to the other van and he heard them say "he's not here" They were obviously referring two the boy who had escaped.

Samuel had seen enough, he casually took off the clothing to reveal the black suit he'd been wearing under it. The suit was custom made to endure high levels of heat without catching fire. It was rough, scale-like, and sleek, but Samuel thought it made him look like an idiot. Samuel did not have the luxury of having his other clothes because they'd been taken along with everything else when The Organization captured him. He was too afraid of how prepared The Organization might be if he ever returned to his mansion in Colorado.

Samuel dashed towards the men in no time at all, almost looking like he had teleported. He then seemingly in one motion, took the cell phone, grabbed both men's head and spun them so fast that their spines unscrewed from their bodies with the heads still attached. He then ran twenty blocks away from the area and all this was done in about half of a second. Samuel now had a link to the corporation. Phone numbers, names, and previous text messages could now all be accessed by him. He looked at the phone's screen and the was quickly disappointed when he realized that the phone had one of those annoying touch screen locking functions. Samuel was not tech savy at all, so it seemed like he was going to need help after all.

Samuel remembered quite some time after acquiring the phone that one of the people he'd seen earlier used electricity. Maybe he could find him and get him to bypass the lock on this phone. Luckily Samuel had a bird's eye view of where they headed when the incident occurred. He quickly retraced his steps to the top of the building and remembered that the guy who used electricity sped off in a different direction separating himself from his group.

Samuel sped off in that direction and stood across the street from where this guy entered. He didn't know who he was, but Samuel was determined to get this guy to unlock the phone. He couldn't call a service for this because Samuel no longer trusted regular human beings. He looked to see if the guy might have been standing in a window, but he was nothing.

Samuel had caught a glimpse of the guy from earlier as he walked in, surprisingly he had gotten there just on time. Samuel thought he was already inside, he did the math himself...but then again, Samuel was never good at math. Something startled him as he saw someone following him. She seemed to have an urge to catch up to him and since she wasn't one of the people from earlier, he figured she was with The Organization.

Samuel felt like this could be trouble, so he followed he stealthily. He did this by using his speed to move behind object to object, making sure he wasn't seen. As she walked into the building Samuel followed her in, through the door that was still opened from when she had pushed it open. Samuel had dashed through it. He tucked himself behind a corner of a hallway as he watched her knock on the door. Samuel was getting ready to get rid of her if she turned out to be who he thought she was.

Glaring down the street watching a group of two flock around one man, Skylers brow rased haha you he thought as he watched them follow the liberator from earlier today. Hell if he didn't let Skyler out who knows if that dark power would have taken control of him, watching closely as she followed him into an apartment building. Skyler casually jogged across the street entering the same building following the girl from a distance, approching her as she knocked on the door, "Hellllooo" Skyler softly spoke walking towards her placing his hand on the wall leaning against it while he looked to her. " You wanna speak to the one who set you free right?" He asked as he looked at her. Yawning Skyler relaxed as he waited for the door to open, this place seemed safe enough if this guy was calling together meetings and such, But what is he trying to start.... A war on the organization? Skyler just wanted to finish of the last chain of his past, to gain the birthright that was passed to him by his father. Waiting with the girl he causally smiled.

Samuel who'd been hiding, quickly dashed to the door, and appeared by everyone else. "Well I don't know who these guys are, but I'm Samuel" he said as he looked at the other two, giving them a smug glance. "Do me a favor and see if you can bypass the lock on this phone, your lightning and what not, so I can be on my way" Samuel said as he thrust the phone at Dorian. He looked around to see if he had been followed, he knew the phone could be located and it'd be only a matter of time before The Organization would track it back here, also being that many of their agents had been killed today, they would be sending top-level guys. Samuel didn't want to be around everyone when they came knocking, more people equaled more distractions when he was fighting.

"Skyler Lucian Vicero, "The Lightning Prince" I would like to speak to you about our next move, you freed us for a reason" He introduced himself yawning, as he felt the pressence of another man speed up in frount of himself and the girl. Who ever it was he presented himself as if he didn't care about anyone else, and when he looked smugly at Skyler and the girl it reminded him of the looks his brother gave him. Clenching his fists as Samuel rudely introduced himself, walking into the apartment sitting down on the sofa. Watching the seen play out between Samuel and Dorian laughing but catching interest in Dorian's power "Oh Mister Dorian, I can help you free the two that were kidnapped. It's the least I could do for you helping me escape my brother."

At the sound of someone speaking to her, Lana jumped, quickly turning her head. She gave the best smile she could muster at the time to the male standing there, who seemed to be at least a foot taller than her. She relaxed a bit after he asked his question, nodding a bit. As she was about to speak to him, the door opened, and she turned forward again to see the same face she recognized from the streets earlier. The presence of another person who seemed to come out of nowhere startled Lana yet again. She quickly slipped inside Dorian's apartment as he and the newer boy who introduced himself as Samuel had their little exchange. "Uh... My name's Lana Azarov." She said, giving a slight smile and nod to each of the boys. "Er, Svetlana, but I prefer Lana." Lana toook a few more steps inside, mostly to be out of the way, but opted to not sit down.

Baylee went with the two boys to the address that was on the paper and seeing this guy past by with a blink of an eye to a group of people, but then seeing the guy they met earlier she walked over to the group her hands in her pockets then heard them say their names, at least she wasnt the only girl anymore she thought to herself. but just as she was thinking the boy..Samuel thrusted a phone into Dorian's hand and she watched Dorian break it with his ability and she grinned, thats quite a power she thought, she followed the Skyler boy into the apartment and sat on the floor crossing her legs and she finally spoke up "Im Baylee but most call me Bay.." she then heard that there was two others that were kidnapped and she gripped her hands "I say we go after these blokes that call themselves the Organization...did they really think they could keep a group like us locked up, they just be stupid whackers. We need to get those two that kidnapped" she started getting on one of her tangents, a thing she did when she got angry or frustrated.

Lana stood quietly and listened to the others. She fumbled with the hem of her skirt again, a sort of nervous habit that she'd developed since she'd been in New York. Her main goal had originally been to just get home, but that kept seeming less and less likely to happen. I guess if it's the only thing for me to do... Lana raised her hand up a bit. "I'll help however I can."

Samuel had been looking at the destroyed phone for quite sometime, convincing himself not to start a fight with these people that he would more than likely lose. He calmly looked back at Dorian. "I have the ability to travel around the world in a minute, you could have simply bypassed the system and let me leave. When they tracked it I would have been miles away from here. Now you destroyed my quickest source of info on the corporation. Names, locations, orders, were all on that phone and now...you...destroyed it." Samuel said all of this giving Dorian a stoic stare, in a surprisingly calm tone.

Samuel felt himself heat up just a bit. "Perhaps I shouldn't have been so rude, but i have no time for pleasantries now a days with a secret cult hunting us down and all" Samuel said sarcastically, giving Dorian a glare and ignoring everyone else.

Samuel tried to jog his memory...he was referring to the woman who he saw back when he was captured by The Organization. He remembered her clearly, he hated that woman very much. The fact that Dorian was like him and his mother was with The Organization made him feel even more uneasy about him. "So let me get this straight. What you're basically saying is that your mother is that woman from the facility we escaped from?" Samuel questioned while looking at the ground. He had not known that Dorian was the one who'd set him free because he'd traveled to the opposite end of the world as soon as he got his chance to escape, not really seeing anyone during the escape. "Man, you have one f'd up family, but if what you're saying is true then give me one reason as to why I should be standing here, with you." Samuel boldly said once again displaying his mastery of douchebaggery over the past couple of years since leaving a superhuman and non-human community.

Samuel looked at Paxton who had just called him Flash, he wanted to laugh at his comment, but he was trying to keep his composure. "Flash? That's a good one wonderboy. Yeah, wonderboy that'll stick to you just nice." Samuel said this smiling for the first time. "I actually think wonderboy over here is actually making sense here though except for the part where he decided to tag along with me, no offense. I don't know what this kid can do and I don't babysit...at least not anymore. Use me to distract the group and you guys can storm in when their guards are spread out, but that of course is only part one. I know that these guys will probably have reinforcements and since they're fighting people like us they've got to be stronger than these losers we pick off in the street." Samuel said as he decided that he would work with these people for the time being.

Bay smiled to Pax when he asked her to go with him but then turned her attention to Dorian "I can place their fears in one of the blokes and around em...it will keep em distracted for a long time...then someone can grab the two kids...I just am able to do one person right now, if i try to do fear on more then one person it ends up bad, it happens to everyone that is around me. So I just can only distract one." she looked at Pax and heard his idea "ye plan...it isn't very umm...how do ye say this..." she tries to think of a word for it but then sees his smile to her "just needs a little work i think" she then got up and got between Samuel and Pax "ye two need to stop bickering like ye damn three year olds, jeesh.

Baylee nodded "I can project them from a distance yes, so I can hide while giving the nightmare" she looked to Pax seeing the wink "threats are not nice...and if we are all going to be working together i think we should all try to at least getting along" She looked to Samuel then back to Pax then to Dorian, she was really trying to keep her words that she wanted to say outloud, thinking we really need to go get the ones that are still stuck out there.

Samuel smiled at Paxton "Yeah i've actually raced with a bullet once and won, but you're right I'm fast but I'm not agile enough to dodge all of them being fired at different locations." he said admitting that he did need help."

After that Samuel was pleased that Paxton got mad at his comment, he wanted to keep going but he was wearing his titanium necklace that had a locket attacked to it. He wasn't about to take it off anytime soon so he decided it'd be best to not call him wonderboy anymore. "I'm sorry, my mistake, I meant to say Magneto." he laughed at Paxton, just then Baylee had stepped between them. He heard her speak of her power to conjure a person's fears. Samuel thought of his worse fear for a second...his fear was very real and possibly alive.

Samuel was disappointed that Dorian shot down their plan, but if their were as much people to overwhelm a plan like this one Samuel had his work cut out for him. Samuel this time listened to what Dorian had to say.

Samuel turned to Dorian and said "Yeah I could carry some people out one by one, which would be quick, but I'd either need to be submerged in water or they'll need to wear a flame retardant suit because they'll burn to death. I tend to heat up when I run at full speed, which is what I'll need if I'm dodging bullets" This plan was a bit more complicated that he had anticipated, he wished he had kept in contact with his friends, they'd might of had a better chance if they had more people to fight along side them."

Bay looked at Pax with a serious face "Ye needed to stop talking like that" she wished he would stop talking about death like it was nothing she then turned to Dorian "did ye think of sumthin?" she then heard Samuel talk and tried to think of a place "well pax can take care of the guns, i can distract with fears. someone needs to be able to get the two though with out being caught...." she looked around and tried to think of an idea

Samuel looked left and right at everyone. "Ehem...Hey I remember a helicopter at the place we broke out from, you think they'll have one there, I could easily take out anyone guarding it and keep the engine running, but I could also run like you guys suggested, I'd just have to have someone who could freeze someone to death to blast the hell out of me. You guys wouldn't happen to be in contact with such a person?" Samuel asked knowing the answer would more than likely be a no.

Baylee listened to Dorian's plan and nodded "Sound like a good idea" she looks to Paxton "try not to get yeself killed alright? i know ye talk like death is nothing..but.." she stopped herself before saying anything more "so shall we get going then?"

Samuel was upset that no one was taking this heat situation seriously, so he took out a piece of paper he'd been carrying with him as he often did carry pieces of paper to watch ashes. Watching ashes fall was one of the only things that calmed Samuel since he could remember. He took the paper and rubbed his hand against it at full speed. To the average eye it looked like Samuel hadn't moved at all. The paper spontaneously burst into flames. "Ok now imagine that but with the two people you want me to save, and much more slower and agonizing for them" Samuel said with a bit of sarcasm in his voice.
