Aria Roberts's Story

Aria woke up early, it was only 7am, but it was the first day of summer vacation and she was really excited. She got out of bed and went downstairs seeing her mother in the kitchen, her brothers were all still sleeping and her father was already at work "morning Mama". Aria's mother turned around and gave her a hug asking her how she slept and such. Aria smiled "slept good, very excited for today, I can’t believe its summer already! This year has gone by so fast” she smiled “Mama can I go for a walk this morning?"she asked. Aria's mother said she could and that she will pack some snacks for her in case she got hungry. Aria hugged her Mama again “thanks Mama“. She got her breakfast, a bowl of cereal and some juice, and ate it quickly. She then did her chores before going up to her room and getting dressed. She put on some khaki pants and a blue plaid shirt, grabbing her sneakers and her backpack then headed back downstairs. Seeing the snacks her mother picked out for her she stuffed it in her backpack and sat down putting her sneakers on. Her mother came over telling her to be careful and such. Aria nodded "I know Mama, but nothing will happen ill be safe, promise" she got up and gave her mother a hug, not knowing it was going to be the last time she saw her. She put her backpack on and headed outside.

Aria went out back and started skipping to the forest path, stopping once and awhile to pick some flowers, putting a couple in her hair then starting a handful of flowers for the table at home. She was a little way down the path when she heard a branch break, she turned around and looked to see what it was but nothing was there "musta been an animal" she said out loud. She turned around and started skipping again, but stopped as she heard the noises again and turned around, again there was nothing. She then back turned around but this time she saw a man there, she was about to scream but then was knocked out cold, the flowers that she gathered all fell at her feet as they took her.

Aria

Aria woke up kinda disoriented, her head is pounding, she looked around her not really remembering what happened, all she really remembers is she was going for a walk then suddenly it went black. The room she was in was small, she was sitting on a bed and there was a little nightstand near the bed but no windows except for the one at the door, she wasn't sure where she was she just wanted her Mama, wanted to go back home to her family. She started crying, she wanted to get out, wanted to know where she was and why they kidnapped her.

Aria got up slowly to her knees, noticing she didn't have her backpack, they musta took it or it fell when they took her, she wasn't sure yet. Crawling to the doorway she tried to open it but it was locked, the window was too high for her too look out of, crying still she started banging on the door and yelling "Let me out, I want my family, I want my Mama, I want my family, please just let me out! please!" she yelled over and over sobbing. When no one came over she slid down on her butt pulling her knees to her chest and cried harder. She wasn't sure what time it was, is it lunch time? Would her family already be looking for her? Would they be worried? these thoughts kept going through her head as she sat there, scared and afraid that she won't ever see them again.

She twitched as she heard her door open and someone hesitantly take a step inside. She sat up from her spot on the couch, finally getting some kind of rest today. Her dark eyes found the intruder, a scientist bringing a thin file over to her. She brushed back her long black hair over her shoulder and stood. ”What is it now?” The scientist almost flinched at her harsh comment, her voice hard from being woken up from her nap. ”I am sorry to bother you Lady Carmine, but the guards have brought a new subject in. I was coming to see what you wanted done with her.” She took the file from him, looking at the picture inside of the small girl. ”We just lost a flyer in the Games, seems we need a replacement now. Get to it.” She gave the file back to the scientist and shut the door on him. Now that she was awake, she wasn’t going to be able to go back to sleep, she might as well get something done. She went to her desk and sat down, working on the paperwork piled on top.

Guards

As soon as Kyra walked through the door, it slammed shut, leaving her in a dark, solid metal room with no way out. Guards were still going back to their places, relieving the ones that had stayed behind to keep a look out on the mutants while they watched the Games over the screens scattered around the place. One stayed behind, going over to the cages bellow that kept the mutants either going in or the mutant coming out. Whichever mutant won tended to be taken care of more than the others, at least for a few days, getting better food, and water regularly throughout the day. He went to the supplies that was given and pulled out a large slab of meat and a bottle of water. He opened a slot in the metal door and shoved the meat through and tossed in the water, and lastly flipped a switch that turned on a small light in the room. It wasn’t over powering like the ones in the cells that kept the mutants from sleeping, or the direct light from the experiment and testing rooms, this one was set off to the side, was slightly muted so there was a dark corner, allowing the mutant to sleep if they so wished, or be awake if they wanted.

scientist

The scientist walked down the halls to the nicer rooms that the mutants were kept in. Sometimes they weren’t seen to for days, or were taken right into experiment rooms. It let them get comfortable here right before they were put into the empty cells, with no furnishings, no windows, a single bright light and a small window in the large metal door without a handle. They were animals after all; they didn’t need the luxury that the human population liked so much. He went to the door and opened it, seeing the small girl inside he went over, ignoring any protest she may have given, any questions, pleas for help, or any begging. He had done this so many times no amount of emotion seen in the subjects could bring out sympathy in him. He dragged her to an experiment room, and more or less threw her on the table, and cuffed down her wrists and ankles.

_Eriyk_

He and Gabriel walked through the streets, following the strange reports and sightings. Talk of a large creature, almost scorpion like was ravishing through the city, scaring people, knocking over cars and coming close to killing people. Eriyk knew that this creature was probably a mistake; it wouldn’t be able to be controlled so he sent Gabriel after it, to kill it, get rid of any evidence, while he went after the talk of a winged child somewhere near the woods.

Aria was sitting beside the door when it opened, she backed up all the way to the wall far away from him "Who are you, why do you have me? Please I...I just want my family" she said pleadingly. But anything she said the man had no emotion she noticed this as he came and grabbed her, struggling though it was no use. She started screaming as the man dragged her into a room. "What are you going to do? Please let me go...please" she screamed as she was thrown on the table and cuffs around her wrists and ankles "Why are you doing this? Please my parents are probably looking for me now." She started crying as she looked around the room, she only has seen this kinda stuff on the tele never in person and now she was kinda freaking out. "I am only ten I don't wanna die...please just let me go...I wont tell anyone" she said as she cried, struggling against the cuffs, though it was no use, she was stuck and scared of whats going to come next.

Scientist

He glanced down at the girl who was sobbing now, begging to be let go and that she wouldn’t tell. He chuckled at that, ”Oh child we aren’t going to kill you. And you don’t need to promise to keep your mouth shut, you aren’t going anywhere except to another hallway in the building.” While he talked he went over to the array of needles and serums that lined the wall. He grabbed one of the large tubes and put it at the end of the needle. He stepped over to the girl, ”Now, the quieter you are though all of this, the better off you might be.” He jabbed the needle into the side of her neck, slowly injecting the liquid into her veins.

Aria was looking up to the man as he said ”Oh child we aren’t going to kill you. And you don’t need to promise to keep your mouth shut, you aren’t going anywhere except to another hallway in the building.” "Why what are you going to do too me then?" she said inbetween the sobs. She was scared, she wanted her brothers, her family. She turned her head when the guy walked away, she saw him messing with needles and tubes with stuff that she wasn't sure what was in it, or if she wanted to find out. Seeing him walking over with the needle she started to squirm, she hated needles and this needle was huge. She whimpered as it closed in on her ”Now, the quieter you are though all of this, the better off you might be.” "What is that, please I don't like..." she wasn't able to finish as she felt the needle go into her neck.

At first it just felt like cool liquid going into her, but then she felt pain. It was inscrusciating pain, her eyes went wide and she started shaking. Letting out a piercing scream as she felt something in her back, her skin started splitting near her shoulderblades. "MAKE IT STOP!" she yelled, but she saw the man just standing there making sure the liquid was getting into her. Aria never felt what she was feeling right now, she felt things pushing out of her back, not knowing what it was at first. Her body stopped shaking but the pain was still there. She laid there as the wings pushed out of her side, she felt the feathers against her back. No, no this cant be happening, what did they do, why me?This was all going threw her head as she laid there breathing hard, What am I know? what are they going to do?She was exhausted and the screaming made her voice hoarse, looking to the man "w..what did yo..you do?" she said in a very very low voice.

Scientist (with Caylx)

He chuckled at her comment. ”Since when do we fight back? We do as we’re told and complete the jobs we are given. If we fight back we get punished also.” He stepped closer, then stepped behind her so that she couldn’t readily see what he had in his hand. With a quick movement he opens his hand and drops its contents over her head, the jumping and wriggling bugs going through her hair.

Scientist (with Aria)

He watched and waited as the girl squirmed and started screaming. He sighed a little; they never were quiet were they? Always screaming, yelling, crying, begging, they could never take the changes quietly. He stepped over to the girl, taking a wing in his hand and examining it, noting the color the shape, and the feel of the wing itself and the feathers. Then he glanced at the girl, ” Tough one we have here, most usually pass out from the serum right away.”

She felt the guy touch her wings "can you please just get them off me...wings don't belong on people. I don't want them please take them off and let me go home" tears where still falling down her face. She was getting mad and started thrashing against the table "I WANT OUT! LET ME OUT! Once my parents find me they will lock y'all up!!!" she was screaming at the top of her lungs again. "Now just get the wings off me! I don't want to be a freak I don't them" she was struggling against the table and the restraints thrashing her body up and down trying to get out. "Im just a kid I just want to go back, I want to be with my family and friends!"

Guards

There was a commotion down the hallway and the three of them headed that way fast. Other mutants in their cells went quiet, loud noises and sounds making them flinch and hide, since most of the time that meant something bad was going to happen. When they turned the corner they saw their comrade on the floor, a broken pipe over his head. One rushed over to make sure the damage wasn’t too bad; the other two looked up at the ceiling, to see what had happened to the pipe in the first place. They spotted something and immediately started shooting, bullets pinging off pipes and the ceiling, hopefully one of them hit the mutant that was clinging to the pipes up there.

scientist (With Aria)

He chuckled at the screaming girl, watching her struggle and threaten, even begging. ”You aren’t a freak child. You now belong to the Lab, and you aren’t going anywhere.” He wrote a few more things down on the clipboard he had then set it to the side. Picking up another needle he had nearby, going back over to the girl. ”Now, as long as you are a good girl, you aren’t going to get too hurt here okay?” He went over and stuck the needle in her arm, sending the paralytic through her body. When he was sure she wouldn’t be able to move, though she could talk as much as she wanted, scream yell, whatever, she couldn’t move her muscles anymore and he untied the straps and lifted her and headed out and down the hall towards a cell.

Scientist (With Caylx)

He laughed at the girl, thrashing in the chair as the bugs feel off her and squirmed around on the floor. It was actually quite amusing to him, watching her try and flee from the things she feared the most, though why did fear them he could not discern. Either way he let her squirm for awhile longer, seeing if she would calm down in the slightest. ”What we want from you, little one, is for you not to be scared. Fear is a weakness.” He went over to her, jamming a needle full of a paralytic into her neck. He kicked bugs aside, placing things straight before he went over to her, putting the chair upright and untying the girl from it. The guards then lifted her and escorted the limp girl back to her empty cell.

”You aren’t a freak child. You now belong to the Lab, and you aren’t going anywhere.” She cried out "I have wings! I am a freak!" she struggled against the chains crying then turned her head seeing the man with the needle "whats that...please no more..." ”Now, as long as you are a good girl, you aren’t going to get too hurt here okay?” She thought about how he said that....you arent going to get too hurt here...too hurt. She started to cry but then felt the needle go into her arm. She felt her body go limp, she couldn't move, she let out another ear piercing scream "HELP! PLEASE!" she saw the guy take off the straps and picked her up and she couldnt do anything, nothing, tears where running down her cheeks. "Please...why me...tell me that...why me?"

Scientist

He chuckled a little at the little girl. Tears were going down her cheeks and she was screaming for help. He didn’t think this one would last long her if she kept that up. Then again many still cried and begged for help and mercy. ”Why you, you ask? Because you just happened to be in the right spot at the right time. You’re different now, better than you were before.” He continued to carry her down the hallway. Being as young as she was it may be a good idea to treat her somewhat nicely. Lady Carmine could use her in some way if the girl was trained to be loyal to the Lab. He stopped at a room, these ones rarely used except by the mutants who did exactly as they were told. He opened the door and set the small girl on the cot-like bed. ”As long as you’re good; you can stay in this kind of room. If not, there are ones with less than nothing in them.” With that he shut and the locked the door.
