Jake's Story

She hummed for split second, and smilled as murderer eyes focused on her once again. One of her hands holding lightly knife's blade, other shaped in gun gesture that kids use when playing outside without toys...pointed at the murderer chest.
"Well...never turn away like that, even this is enough for someone to come up with something, right now it would be checkmate...you would be dead." She paused, glaring as if trying to kill someone with just that glare.
"You are easily tricked, though my rules forbid me from killing you so it won't be downfall of yours right now...anyway can I hug you?"
She smiled mischievously, waiting for reply...would it be knife or an intriqued look, is what she wondered about.

OOC -Kay, at this moment both characters seem nuts, right? Btw got one other character, probably pc/npc that will soon be running for his life :)

"I see, and alright…I wanted to give you my sandwich " She decided to observe her body language more than before from now on, it’s not a sure thing…but she’s thinking body may be saying something else about food and other things than what supposed murderer says. Maybe it will even save her in future, for so far it did...if not for body language, she would miss a lot of things that are past now.

I’m quite sure she’ll start wondering why am I suddenly talking about food while she’s pointing gun at me, so much fun confusing ones that are truly lost! Though I wonder where she got that thing…

"Oh, right I forgot, You can call me Kali, how shall I call you? " Doing nothing for Kali is something she almost hates, so playing with fabric once again is what she does, while waiting for reply.

OOC - :) , also I'm thinking about adding to this post Jake later, first I need to think about how and where exactly he will be...nevermind, got it below.

IC :
Jake wondered if this world would ever go back to its old tracks, to where he could once again play baseball and laugh with friends. He wondered if any of friends he’s been thinking about a lot lately are even alive. He knew that to this question was only one answer, answer he may not like at all. This city smelled foul because of all the people who ended their lives here one way or another, he wished he could prevent at least some of their deaths. Skyscrapers were once a place he would never want to go to, too high he’d say…but now these are but a ruins of what once was, a place worth scavenging if one has luck. He sighted, for he knew he was not a lucky one, almost dying because of wall falling at him proved that. Still lying between rubble, inches away from metal rod…inches away from being pierced, and from death.
Maybe I am somewhat lucky after all...
He thought, but wasn't quite ready to get up just yet.

She smilled, knowing that new player joined this little game of theirs.
"You're right, sucks...for me?" Kali chuckled, and waited for inevitable.
Silent outside, while inside battle unimaginable.


Jake wasn't ready, but it was time for him to get up. Yet he lied there, looking at the sky, space was the only thing that mattered now, place which he always wanted to see and explore, place that now he'll likely never reach.

Wait...

Suddenly he felt a chill down his spine, feeling so well known to him. He got up as quickly as possible, wounding himself in process, without realizing it. Looking around he noticed two people, one white haired and second black as night.
Judging from worried look, this white haired person seemed to be in trouble.

Jake reached inside his sport bag, searching for that one last baseball he had from old times. He found it, still signed by his idol, and friend. He knew what to do, as he readied to pitch it once more.

Come on, you can do it, be lucky for once… - He muttered, as he threw it, aiming for the head.

OOC - I guess it all happens at similar time, out of curiosity how big is chance that Shadow won't notice ball flying towards her in your opinion?

Shadow saw the object and leaned back just enough to not get hit. In doing so she pressed the knife harder on the girls neck.
" You think I'm just going to stand there and take it" Shadow asked, grinning insanely.


OOC- Welp, she noticed it. Shadow has some crazy dodging skills, no doubt about that.Also, she is more aware of things than most people.

Jake couldn’t believe what he saw, she dodged it.

Oh…come on!

"Are you kidding me? Why can’t I be lucky for once! " He shouted, there was only one thing left to do. He began to run towards them, searching for something else he could use. Hoping he wouldn’t see another death so quickly, and thinking why is he even trying to pull something so crazy as that.


Kali smiled slightly, murderer seemed to be happy, she did not. There were some good sides to it in her opinion, for example young man knows he’s facing something dangerous, yet runs towards4 it like an idiot…which is weird to say the least.

"Wouldn’t it be better to let me live for entertainment, without letting him know that? It’s not like I’m trying to resist it after all…" life or death, It was an interesting bet in her opinion, one that she would love to win.

"Not to mention since he’s so unlucky giving him hope would be perfect for shattering that comes later…"

Not to mention I hate dying, one of few things that anger me…

Kali had rules, rules that as any other can be broken, yet she wanted to avoid it for as long as she can. Beyond fear of death and anger that comes out of it, there was something else…a decision she simply wants to abide by, something that is really important to her, choice made of free will.

"Actually…how about we make a bet? " She waited for answer, possibly last one.


OOC - I see, poor Jake...

"A bet? Why not," Shadow said, but yet not keeping her eyes off the boy to make sure he didn't try to kill her again, "After all I have nothing left to lose."
Shadow took the knife away from her throat but didn't let go of her. At the same time she teleported the boy into a cage made of bones. He wasn't going to try to hurt Shadow again.
"Nice try boy, but I'm not going to let a pest like you keep trying to kill me" Shadow snarled at him, then returned her focus on the person in her hands.

OOC- Well, I won't be back this weekend and next week, but I have today. And thank you. Merry (early) Christmas to you too! :)

Surprisingly that worked, which is ridiculous considering how small chance of this outcome was.

Kali was happy, yet thoughtful. Her bet just became more interesting, now question is what kind of bet would satisfy murderer. She wondered if it would intrigue murderer...

"I bet you won’t be able to refrain from killing or even wounding me before killing all humans, but if you do I’ll show you my secret…or you can come up with other bet"

Jake didn’t expect that, suddenly learning that he’s in front of two crazies, one who has some weird abilities and another that won’t even bother to scream for help but is happy and smiley with knife near throat, well maybe no longer with knife near throat. Now stuck in a cage made out of…bones. It kind of creeped him out, when he thought where could these bones come from. He could feel sweat pouring down from his forehead, he was unlucky once again.

Unlucky, and most likely dead…

His last chance was to gain time in any way and hope there’s something inside his bag that would help, save him even. Race against time began…

OOC - Thanks, and I think I'll be away this weekend as well :)

"Very well" Shadow said with a nod " But if I let you go, you better not tell anyone who I am, got that?"
Then she turned and walked up to the boy. She smiled insanely at him. She wasn't planning on letting him live much longer.

OOC- Oh, okay! :)

"Telling them everything would be boring…"
Kali looked at young boy, young enough to be 18-20 years but not old enough to be 30. She knew where this was going, and she knew that boy had little luck today.

He’s going to die, unless…

Jake tried to find something useful, yet there was nothing. He didn’t care about dying much, he cared more for not being able to see friends , if any of them lived.

I’m done for…

He couldn’t think of anything good as his last words.
"Well, I won’t give you that satisfaction" He smiled, wondering how stupidly it has to sound.
Suddenly baseball bat landed before him, as if someone aimed for holes in cage. Second thing was gunshot, shot aimed at murderer.

"Use it, and run kid!" scream came from above, from rooftops.

Kali Smilled.
Oh well, so this is how it goes…

OOC - I think it's time for the third character (who suddenly comes to my mind, such a nice coincidence!), guess he will die soon though and I'm not making his sheet for now.

Somehow Shadow dodged the bullet completely and she quickly grabbed the baseball bat before he could use it. Next thing the person on the rooftops was suddenly in the cage as well.
"Nice try" She said menacingly, "But you aren't going anywhere"

OOC- Yeah. Teleportation and all, useful skill, but bad in the hands of a murderer.

"I totally am confused now, you were hiding while you could just do that…really? "
Kali asked slightly surprised, and seemingly bored.
"Isn’t this boring?"

Man said only one thing.
"Boring or not, surely not what I planned…"

Jake said nothing, thinking about something.
Maybe…
"Who made you like that? " He finally said.
OOC - Wooow, still overkill for them...actually...I have an idea now but not sure whether I should use it or not.
