Kinery Mave's Story

Koe flailed lightly, her feet pounding against the ground as she made her way to school. "Late late late, so very late. Oh well, that's peachy, I can deal perfect." She chuckled, talking to herself in order to get energize herself more. She spread her arms out in front of herself, ramming straight into the door but being able to push down on the handles, causing said door to fly open. Kinery slid on the floor past the front desk then tried to alter her direction, running in place for a split second before gaining traction and heading back to the desk. "Haha, sorry I'm late, what's up? I hope I'm not too late at all. You know, these things are hard to avoid and all. Oh hey, by the way, did you notice there's a spider in that corner?" She chattered on, getting suddenly distracted as she spoke to the front desk person. The fem's lips turned up in a small smile, her eyes closing as she pointed to the web.

"No worries, classes were cut short today anyway. All that is needed is for you to go meet other kids, I suppose. A scheduling mishap, you could say. It's so shameful, so much work...." The woman mumbled on. "Alrighty then, thanks!" She panted lightly, pressing down on her hand between her thumb and index finger to calm herself down. Koe chuckled to herself quietly. "Well, I'd suggest killing that nasty bugger; who knows what gender it-" But she was cut off, the lights suddenly flickering off. However, light from the woman's laptop lit up the small hallway, and Kinery smiled. How cool is this? A blackout at school. I've always wanted this to happen to me.

The brown-haired girl turned, about to dart away when the front desk lady called out. "Miss Mave, did you remember your pills this morning?" Kinery groaned, smacking her forehead. "Oh dear, in my rush to get to school.... Oh well, no time for such trivial things, I must be off! Adieu!" And with that, she darted away into the darkness, lowering her hand to her messenger bag and pulling out a lantern. Ha! What are the odds? I bring this for my tryouts in theater after school, and now it can actually be used! The girl smiled, pulling out a lighter and flicking her thumb on the gear, a small flame flickering to life. Koe paused in order to ignite the lantern, light now pulsating against the walls and in a small circle around the girl's figure. She closed the glass door, and then put the lighter back, taking off once more.Gym might be an awesome idea. People will probably amass there! She nodded to herself contently, absolutely sure of her idea. Maybe I should try finding Naomi. But then again, what are the odds THERE? Besides, I forgot my phone as well. But on another note, how cool is it she's actually coming to this school!

Kine continued to run along the school corridors, taking a sharp left and slipping into a room, going through it and coming out the other side. Oh man, where am I now? She groaned mentally to herself, taking a left for no reason at all and running down a flight of stairs. Her lantern illuminated around herself, still bright and flickering. Then she heard voices up ahead. She only caught one part of it before all hell broke loose. "Oh man.We need a Daphne and Scooby.." After hearing that, she got distracted by a stray thought, running forward and around a corner towards the voices. However, there were two steps leading down, and she tripped over one, scaling the second, and barreling right into someone. Her lantern went flying, the glass shattering and the metal becoming bent slightly. Luckily, most of the flame went out as the glass door had popped open, allowing the incoming air to extinguish it. Well, most of it.

Kinery let out a loud yelp as the two collided, split-second realizing that he had glass on, y'know, because A.D.H.D. totally makes you notice tiny details, and then they started to descend towards the floor. A small spark ignited from the lantern, catching on a piece of paper that just happened to be there coincidentally and igniting it. The paper then began to smolder, a small stream of smoke spiraling up and reaching a single fire sprinkler. This caused it to turn on immediately, soaking the paper and the kids near-by. Luckily, most of the fire sprinklers were spread out, so only that one turned on. And it was only a light sprinkle, luckily. The sprinkler shut off soon-after. Koe groaned quietly, well, at least the lady at the front desk is kind of sort of looking out for me maybe just a little bit perhaps she then clenched her eyes shut as the hit the floor. She coughed quietly, before chuckling sheepishly. "Ruh-Roh." The fem muttered in that same sheepish nature, rubbing the back of her head.

"Thats alright I'm really happy to see you're safe" said Aoiro as he patted his friend on the shoulder, which made Karuko grin. Then Elliot said something about Scooby Doo, and Karuko laughed at the thought of being Fred, who was really the team leader of Mystery Inc. Then he felt something being fastened around his neck, before realising it was a luminous green glow stick, which he began to fiddle with absent-mindedly. Once Elliot put on his glowing earrings and switched on the belt lights, the group really were glowing brightly. But Karuko almost laughed out loud when Aoiro spoke, "Wait a sec your name is Bill!?"
Suddenly there was a help as a girl came flying into Elliot, knocking him over, dropping the lantern and causing all of them to become soaking wet. "Crap, dude, my glasses flew off. At least I'm still glowing." said Elliot quietly. He began searching and soon found them.
"God! Are you guys OK?!" Karuko asked anxiously, since he was always worried when someone got hurt. He held out his hand to help them up, while examining the girl to see if he recognised her. "Maybe you could help us in getting to the gym?" he asked hopefully, gazing down on the girl. "I just came down from there, but I seemed to have taken the long route and I have no idea which way to go now."

Bill looked at Aoiro when he called out her name. She smiled, many people usually got that reaction after hearing it. "Actually, its Billie. But I'm not very girly, so I go with Bill. Plus, its shorter and easier to write AND say." She nodded at him. She seemed pretty calm, but as soon as a girl came flying in, she quickly hid behind Michael, but soon realised that it wasn't a monster, or a 'Giant-Sushi-Lobster-Thing-Attack'.

Bill sighed and peeked out, then talked away from Michael. "Err... Right. Sorry." She muttered and looked at Kinery. Suddenly, she came to the realisation that it was Naomi's friend, or atleast, LOOKED like her. She blinked and came up to the girl, offering her a hand to help her get up. "You're Naomi's friend, right? I'm Bill." She said quickly, smiling at her. Then she looked at Elliot, and offered him her other hand.

Kinery smiled sheepishly up at Bill. "Ah yes, Bill! Indeed I am. Hey, sorry about that whole collision, I'm fine, by the way. Kinery is my name." She completely ignored her now ruined lantern. She never really liked theater anyway. Her head suddenly popped up, moving from side to side as her ear wiggled. "My Naomi senses are tingling." The girl laughed quietly. "Just kidding, really though. I have A.D.H.D. which explains the reactions and stuff. But hey, you now have your Scooby me-thinks! Oh yeah, right, nice to meet you too!" She chuckled, hopping off of the boy. "Glad to be of service too, even though you're probably going to have bruises. Got your glasses?" She peered back over him before nodding. "Ah yes, great. Well, off to the gym then I suppose?" Just then she heard about what seemed to be a hundred screams and swoons of girls. A shudder ran through her whole being. "Oh dear Lord, what is THAT?"

Koe pulled out her pencil bag, unzipping it and taking out a thick pen before clicking the end. Blue light shot out from it, and she gave a cheeky self-satisfied smile to herself. "So prettyy~" She mumbled before snapping back to attention.

Kinery laughed brightly at the blue-haired boy. "You're pretty fun, huh? I think it's totally great when boys screw up~" She teased whole-heartedly. She then clapped her hands together, her eyes seeming to almost sparkle. "Ah mai goodness! I'd love a glowstick!" Her mouth turned into a wondering 'o' as she accepted the gift cheerfully before staring down at it, her head tilted slightly to the side. "So... beautiful... why... must you give... me these things. Best creation of mankind since like, microwaveable popcorn and cotton candy." The fem put her hands on her hips and nodded resolutely.

Koe laughed merrily. "You're such a clutz, little Elliot, a whole lot worse than me!" She then tilted her head, stamping her foot on the ground. "Nah, I totally just forgot to take my pills this morning! Yo, don't just go disappearing without us!" The brown-haired girl turned back to the boy she had just spoken to, her eyes gleaming with mischief. She merely grabbed his arm, attempting to drag him off after Elliot so they could get started on this newly discovered (by her, since she had no idea that the gym was hosting said game) activity. "Billll~" the girl whined playfully "grab the others and let's go!!" That same cheerful smile returned to her facials, her eyes closing as they always did when she made the action, still tugging on the blue-haired boy. "By the way, you should all tell me your names so our acquaintanceness isn't so awkward!"

Rolling his eyes at the two girls getting into a conversation, Karuko wandered over to the wall and randomly started to stroke the wallpaper in his boredom. Then he heard Aoiro say, "wha...wai...you're not mad?" and really did snigger at his friends question. He edged away as Elliot started to spin round, just in time as he bashed against the wall were Karuko had just been standing.
Eventually the group decided to resume making their way towards the gym. The girls lead the way, and soon Bill ran off ahead. At that moment Karuko jogged up to Kinery and grinned. "Hey..." he said cheerfully. "You asked us to tell you our names so...Hi! I'm Karuko." Holding out his hand for her to shake, his grin widened.
As he didn't meet girls that often, Karuko was always sort of sheepish around them. Well, he wasn't exactly nervous but he acted strangely. His face always had a big grin on it and he felt obliged to be as polite as possible. Maybe it was just how he was brought up. However some girls weren't like that, some girls were just different with Karuko.

Bill just laughed, Naomi's still 'frightened' expression over the fangirls kind of made her giggle. "Its nice to see you alive, sis'." She gave her a quick nod, before she made her way back to the gym. Or atleast, she THOUGHT the gym was there. Without a moment of thinking, the girl just kept on walking.

"Tuxedo Mask, huh.." Billie thought. "So like, you just met Tuxedo Mask, or a guy like Tuxedo Mask, and all you're worrying about is... Fangirls almost clutching out your hair?" She said sarcastically, as she wasn't paying attention to her surroundings. "Oh between, that friend of yours is waiting for you in the gym, she must be worried since her 'Naomi Senses' were acting up." Bill giggled, stumbling slightly as she did. Her head felt kind of dizzy, but just for a brief moment.

The girl just kept on walking, untill she bumped into a door. It was rather large, but through the window could be seen some pretty lights. She opened it, and peeked inside, quickly sneaking through. The room was full of colorful lanterns, and there were various amounts of chairs, gathered up in seperate circles. She tilted her head, this was nothing like in her old school. The girl shrugged and took her sister's hand, and came up to Elliot and the others. "I'm alive! I think. Well if not, send me some flowers on my grave if they find my walking body." She said.

A laugh made him look up the other girl was speaking to him

"You're pretty fun, huh? I think it's totally great when boys screw up~"

He blinked his actions saying "excuse me?" as he stared up at her but her attention was gone again as she in many words thanked Elliot for the glowsticks with some mention of popcorn
Aoiro just blinked this by far was the weirdest day ever. And he had had quite some weird days before. But this one jsut topped it. He rubbed his eyes wondering if it was a dream and looke dup to see the girl was looking at him again.

Aoiro froze he didn't like the look in her eyes he couldn't even speak a peep before she grabbed his arm and commenced to drag him through the hall in whatever direction Elliot had gone."Karuko!" >.< his thoughts screamed

My mistake he thought She's worse than Elliot

"Billll~" the girl whined playfully "grab the others and let's go!!" she said still pulling on his arm He felt like a plushie or some badly taken care of pet.

"By the way, you should all tell me your names so our acquaintanceness isn't so awkward!"


Aoiros expression shifted from freaked out scared to a look of irritation "Like I wou-"

"Hey..." Karuko said appearing out of nowhere stopping Aoiro in his tracks. "You asked us to tell you our names so...Hi! I'm Karuko." he was holding his hand out to the girl with a huge smile that Aoiro loved to see.

it changed his mind and calmed his expression blushing and staring at the ground sheepishly

"Aoiro Hoseki..." he said his voice almost a whisper. "class 2C"

Kinery rolled her eyes with a chuckle. She then waved to the new guy she hadn't seen before. "Karuko. Nice to meet youuu!!" She grabbed his hand cheerily, shaking it with a smile plastered to her face. Her eyes then lit up. "Well fine then, Ao. I'll just take him instead if you're going to be a spoil sport." The fem chuckled, deserting Ao and latching onto Karuko's arm. "Let us frolic!" Koe then raced towards the gym with the boy in tow, giggling quietly as they went. "Ha, sorry for that. You're just another likely candidate to play with." She stuck her tongue out a bit at Karu. "You and I, we're going places kid.... Mainly the gym." That same sweet chuckle returned, and she slowed down a bit. They were almost to the doors anyway.

"I'm in class 2A, too bad I can't be in your class! That'd be a lot more entertaining. But nah, I'm all by my lonesome little self. Left to my devices allll day. My life is so hard." She sniffled, then smirked playfully at the boy, obviously joking around. "Yeesh, all that pink Elliot boy wears is so blinding. Pink is okay, but too much of a good thing is never a good thing."

The day was strange and now it had gotten worse probably the absolute worst.

"Karuko. Nice to meet youuu!!" The girl practically screamed touching Karuko's hand Aoiros eyes flashed to them then back up at her face her smile was so fake he wanted to scream especially with what she did next

"Well fine then, Ao. I'll just take him instead if you're going to be a spoil sport."


Aoiro hadn't the time to correct her on the name or even object to the statement the worst "Eh wai I-" had come as she dashed down the hall with Karuko in tow. Aoiro lifted a hand trying to stop them but they were out of sight and he was alone again. and that girl had taken Karuko his friend Karuko. Aoiro just stood there all alone his hand outstretched but catching nothing but air wishing today had never happened.

"Aoiro Hoseki..." whispered Aoiro rather sheepishly. "class 2C." Karuko sighed at his friend, who acted so shy at times, which rather bugged him. However he was rather taken aback when Kinery suddenly grabbed his hand to shake it and said, "Karuko. Nice to meet youuu!!" He rubbed the back of his neck and continued grinning, before his new friend began dragging him to the gym after saying, "Well fine then, Ao. I'll just take him instead if you're going to be a spoil sport."
Although Karuko didn't want to leave Aoiro, he also didn't want to end his new found friendship with Kinery so he ran along beside her, chuckling as she rambled on about frolicking and her lonesome little self. She seems fun, Karuko thought to himself as he gazed over at Kinerys' cheerful face.
When they entered the gym, Karuko gazed around at all the beautiful lanterns and bright colours that filled the place with the essence of enchantment. Soon he was distracted when he noticed Elliot, Naomi and Bill sitting over in a circle of chairs. Holding Kinerys' hand, he wandered over to them and sat down next to Bill, smiling cheerfully at the fun that was yet to begin.
Looking at the people around him, Karuko thought to himself what a lucky day this was. It went from a boring old english lesson to...well....this awesome event! He giggled at his own thoughts then looked behind him absent-mindedly to check if Michael and Aoiro had been keeping up with them.

Kinery smiled brightly, taking a liking to the 'new' gym. Her eyes scanned the entire room, looking for Elliot and the others. Elliot wasn't hard to find at all, but then her eyes landed on Naomi. "Nay-oh-my!!!!!!" She was just about to run and tackle her before she was dragged along over there anyway by Karuko. "So what game are we playing huh? Anyone know, any ideas?" That same smile plastered onto her face, and she crossed her legs comfortably on the chair, her hand still in Karuko. "Karuko's really nice, Naomi have you met himm?"

The fem chattered on excitedly to her friend, glad to finally meet her in person. "Hey, Karuko. Know what we could do? Depending on the game, but still." A mischievous giggle made its way from her vocals, and she leaned over, whispering something to him. She then went back to her previous sitting position, poking Naomi in the knee.

Aoiro hadn't moved he remained in the same place but slowly dropped his arm in hopeless defeat.

(flashback mode)
he remembered when he first came to the school people had made fun of him for being so short teased him for his blue hair. It didn't help that he was so shy. But Karuko had stood up for him made the bullies leave him alone. That had given Aoiro an instant attachment to him. But he was scared that Karuko was only just being nice the next day Aoiro avoided school and did that for a week. his parents wouldn't care he was often sick they would only think that and let him stay home. Aoiro had been considering never going back and maybe running away but as he climbed out his window he ran into Karuko arms full of books and a huge smile on his face.

Karuko had collected all Aoiros work for him even asked the teacher where his house was. Still Aoiro thought... He's just being nice, they were closer in school same class. As this was years ago. Best of friends. Still Aoiro always feared he'd lose him. Until the moment when Aoiro lost it .... Karuko stopped him from running away stopped him from doing something terrible not to be nice but because he really cared. Finally Aoiro had accepted Karuko really cared. Since then Aoiro and Karuko were as close as ever. Even though this year they were assigned different classes.

Aoiro stayed cheerful and hung out with Karuko every chance he got. But now..
(end flash bakc mode)

Aoiro starred into the empty hall... "No" he thought "Karuko Is my best friend he'd never leave me I'm just overreacting" he ran a hand through his blue hair and smiled. Then set off down the hall as if he suddenly knew where to go finding his way to the gym easily and returning to greet the others. The girl was motioning Karuko to another girl one Aoiro had never seen. Whom the other girl was calling Naomi.

"Truth or dare sounds fun.. But I don't know about spin the bottle." Billie said. "If we do play truth or dare, I could go first! Or..." The girl went silent for a moment, and took out a piece of paper, folding it into something that 'looked' like an origami bird. "We could play risk. Basically its a version of Truth or Dare with just dare, so people be 'saved' by saying truth." She giggled, placing the bird on her shoulder.

Her eyes locked on Aoiro as he entered the room. "Hey, Aoi! Come join us!" She waved at him, in a surprising welcoming way. Then she looked back at Elliot. "I'm out of ideas, so I don't really know. Its up to you guys." Bill nodded and stretched, as she forgot that the paper bird was still on her shoulder.

However, when she realised that the bird was about to fall off, it was somehow too late, as the girl fell back with her chair. "Oww.. This sucks." She said, kicking her legs like a child. Then she rolled over her head, and stood up, picking up the chair and the origami.

"I suppose they were right when they told us not to doodle on our chairs." Bill laughed, checking if her phone was still 'alive', and if she perhaps could've lost something during the fall. She shrugged, everything seemed to be there, so she sat back in her chair. "Right'o, so what're we gonna play!?" She asked, looking at Kinery, then at Karuko, and then back to Elliot.

Laughing aloud at Elliots' constant rambling about the games they could be playing, Karuko turned round to see if Michael and Aoiro had arrived yet. Just to Karukos' luck, walking through the door was Aoiro. Waving over at his blue-haired friend, Karuko grinned before being distracted by someone mentioning his name. "So what game are we playing huh? Anyone know, any ideas?" Kinery was saying, while crossing her legs. "Karuko's really nice, Naomi have you met himm?" He blushed at Kinerys' comment as she began chatting to her friend.
"Hey, Karuko. Know what we could do? Depending on the game, but still." Once again Karuko was distracted by his new friend who giggled mischievously before leaning over and whispering something into his ear. Karuko nodded slowly, unsure if he should go along with the idea. But then he grinned and looked more eager, in order to please Kinery, though really he was still uncertain inside.
Sighing in slight boredom, Karuko looked around the room, waiting for this special event to start, and his eyes met Billies' face as she fell off of her chair. "Woah! Are you OK?" he asked anxiously, as Bill got back up.
"Right'o, so what're we gonna play!?" she asked, looking around at everyone.
"We'll just have to wait and see, it seems." remarked Karuko with a hint of mystery, smiling peacefully. "Though I really do hope it's truth or dare, that would be exciting! Risk sounds good too." He chuckled to himself at the many silly dares that came into his head, though none of them would be suitable. Then he returned his gaze to Bill. "So, Bill, I'm unsure if we've been properly introduced. I am Karuko, if you didn't already know. Now...questions, questions. Uh....where are you from?"

Masuku's body language showed that he was relaxed, and most likely smiling as he gave a tap on the microphone, calling for attention at the stage near the front of the gymnasium. Once everyone had settled down reasonably, Masuku began to speak.

"Hello, my fellow students. It is good to see you made it all out. As in the years past, the school has once again allowed us to use this day to get to know one each other and befriend our fellow peers." His mask centered on the group of Truth or Dare'rs giving a small motion. "Some of us, as I see, have already begun. That is good, for it has also come to my attention that there are two new students in our school. I would like for you all to welcome with kindness and respect--" There seemed to be invisible daggers thrown from the eyes toward the fangirl collective. "--like the responsible students you all are."

He gave a small adjustment to his cuff before continuing, seemingly taking the cufflink off. "This year, we will be doing something a little different." The second cufflink was removed, and both were placed in the navy-blue pocket in the overcoat, which was unbuttoned. "There were complaints last year about the choice of music--" The students who were attendant of that day gave a groan at the memory of the teachers attempting to band together into something 'cool'. "--and this year, the school has allowed me to bring something a bit more modern to you all." The lights raised slightly behind him, revealing a DJ set, complete with all the bells and whistles. "Remember that the cafeteria and main hallway are also open to students. Thank you all for your attention, and have fun today!"

The overcoat was removed, and set on a chair behind the DJ set, followed by his tie; both were folded with proper care. He then folded up his sleeves, bringing up the sound on the DJ system, listening for a moment to the soft feedback before opening up a nice rhythm--nothing ridiculously hard in bass or tempo, just something to get the beat started.

"I've been awesome, Naomi. But really, I should be asking how you've been doing! I mean, we finally get to meet up here." The girl poked her closest friend in the knee yet again. She then turned to look around the room once more, her eyes wide and excited from the darkness. "You know, we would really be able to pull some awesome stuff in here, if you catch my drift." She smirked back to her friend, then jabbed Karuko in the ribs. "Aw, but we can't start now. We should wait till Aoiro gets his slow butt over here!" She nodded resolutely, then got up from her chair, stretched, then plopped right into the boy's lap, her hands on her knees as that masked dude came up to get the attention of all the students. "Aw, that's bloody BOORRING though! Do something more entertaining!" Kinery smirked, her arm flailing in the air as she complained. "Goodness, that guy. Him and his mask, it's really... eh, how do you say... insensé." She smirked over at Elliot, waving cheerfully at him before returning her attention to the rest of their group."

"Well in any case, what time is it?"

Aoiro walked into the room and saw the others Bill looked up and called to him

"Hey, Aoi! Come join us!" she waved as she spoke. Aoiro waved back calling

"Okay!~" and skipped up to the group

" so what's going on" he smiled asking. He listened to the groups ideas on what game they should play and sat cross legged on the floor when they decided. Risk sounded like an awesome game Bill seemed to be very good at coming up with things like that. everyones answers to questions was interesting to him. He wondereed vaugely when it would be his turn. He played absent mindedly with his shoe string while half listening.

Karuko's voice however caught him off guard.

"Well...it was quite a shock to see two girls. I mean, although there are girls in this school, I've always had classes that were all boys. And my day was boring, so I was excited to see something interesting arrive. Anyway...you seemed funny, and looked nice. Naomi, I thought was very pretty, though she didn't seem as...outgoing as you."

It sounded differnet than Aoiro was used to he looked up to see his friend blushing as he tried not to look at the girl named Naomi. Aoiro blink and rubbed his eyes when he looked back Karuko seemed fine. Aoiro laughed as Bill kicked, Karuko yawned and Elliot watched Bills oragami bird. His attention only snapped away when the annoucment happened. After which he turned back to the group as Kinery who had apparently not noticed him spoke about him.


"I'm right here" he said with an air of sarcasam that no one would detect.

As soon as Naomi said the words "Umm... truth I guess", Karuko grinned widely and begin to think up a suitable question, whilst absent-mindedly listening to the people talking around him. He noticed Aoiro sitting on the floor and smiled down to him, while listening to Kinery ramble on about the DJ in the tuxedo mask.
Eventually he came up with a suitable question. "Aha!" he exclaimed, beginning to smirk at Naomi. "OK Naomi, if you had to date anybody in the world....who would it be?" Sinisterly he gazed into her eyes, a grin emerging once again onto his face. Whilst doing so, he crossed his legs and leant back on his chair thus....beginning to fall backwards and before he could stop himself he collided with Bill and created a domino effect. "Oh god!" he exclaimed, immediately leaping up and checking to see if Bill and Elliot were OK. "I am such a klutz!"
