Hair Colour: Dirty Blonde to blonde, really depends on the sunlight.

Eye Colour: Blue eyes

Height & Weight: 5'9" and weighs 180 lbs

Distinctive Markings: On his right hand he has three little burns that form a triangle near his thumb. On the same hand there's a fairly large scar on the ring finger knuckle. On his left wrist is a vertical scar half an inch to the right of artery.

Clothing Style: Steven usually wears what is comfortable and that usually means t-shirt; that usually has something funny on it or it's a band shirt, a sweatshirt; he has a couple of these some are pullovers and others are zip ups, Steven usually rotates them out every couple of weeks to keep things kinda fresh. Right now he's wearing the zip up he found in a mall restroom, it's got "fur" lining. He swears it's the best thing he's ever found. His pants part of his wardrobe is full of khaki's, cargo pants, and cargo shorts. He only owns one pair of shoes and they're a tattered pair of Vans sneakers he's had since start of junior year. His truly favorite way of dressing is in silk. Steven once got dressed up when was 15 and his tux was one of the most comfortable things he's ever had on.

Personality: Steve's personality is hard to put into words. He's the type of guy who would be friends with two people who hated each other and would not say a mean thing about the other person to the person he was with. He also needs to hear both sides of an argument before coming to a conclusion about anything. When he is hanging out with his friends he's often the one who's making jokes and keeps morale high among their group of friends. He might take the weight of the world on his shoulders by listening to everybody's problems, but he doesn't show it. His patience could beat Mother Teresa's, though he does have his moments when it wears thin. When it happens he gets all snippy, distant, and generally irritated. It's usually because somebody was doing something stupid for an extremely long period of time.

He's not much of a leader but more like an advisor, many of a times he's said they shouldn't do something, but they do it anyway and he's usually right about what happens. He still participates anyway even though he knows it's doomed to fail, better to have fun and fail than never to have had fun at all. When somebody threatens his friends he's one of the first people to throw a punch. He doesn't like violence, but he has accepted that it solves pretty much every problem that you can't fix with words. His friends may come first but his loyalty is always for sale. He views loyalty is a commodity and like every commodity it has a price.

Just because he has a sense of humor and loyalty doesn't mean Steve doesn't have a dark side. He's always looking to make a buck, his lastest venture was a gambling stand(the entire three cards bit,) behind the school. He worked it that every so often a guy would come around and 'win' big so that people would just give him their money, he worked it so that for every dollar that was bet he got almost 60 cents of it. By the end of the week he had 500 bucks in his pocket and the principal's palms got a little grease. Now he likes to point out that he's not a con man, he's a con artist, there's a difference. Con men lie to get what they want, Steve doesn't lie, inf act he hates lying. Con Artists leave their victims happy, and usually require a silver tongue. He rationalizes the stand as he's selling hope to the students that they might win big on a rigged game. Hypocritical maybe, but it's how he get's through his day.

By looking at him you wouldn't be able to tell that he has a brain in between those ears, he spouts off random information and useless facts like it's his job. Granted they are pretty interesting, but still terribly useless. In addition he's also liable to surprise you with a skill you never knew he had. Like he can do some pretty complex math problems in his head; mainly multiplying and dividing 4 digit numbers. One thing you can probably tell about him just by looking at his face is that he is a stoner, the rest is a closed book. He uses this gross underestimation to his benefit on several occasions.

Steve is lonely, sure he's had his flings with a few of the chicks that were floating around the school. He's honestly never held a girl down longer that a couple of weeks. He enjoys the thrill of the hunt and succeeding, but usually as he's laying awake he feels empty inside. Like there's somebody waiting for him and he doesn't know who it is.

Likes: Blink 182, reading, Fall Out Boy, Eminem, Bowling for soup, video games, and Mary Jane

Loves: Money

Dislikes: Country, liars, people with bad fake accents, guns, and dub step.

Hates: Cops

Fears: Heights (100ft+), dying while his house is being broken into, and putting his heart in a head case.

Strengths: Loyalty, his deft hands, and his silver tongue

History Steve was dropped off at an orphanage with a card that just said his name and his birth date when he was just a baby. He stayed in that orphanage until he was two years old, he was then adopted by a couple calling themselves the Coltmans. They had tried for years to have a child and they had failed every single time. So they decided to adopt, they thought it was best to get a toddler because they wanted him to love them as his real parents. Shortly after they brought him home, the Coltmans were blessed with a child of their own. The months moved quickly and soon Steve had a little sister.

As the years progressed they moved to a small town that their father lived in when he was growing up, they even lived in the same house too, but happiness couldn't last. When Steve turned 9 his parents got divorced. His sister and him both chose to live with their mother. From there Steve bounced from apartment to apartment, and his mother when from loser boyfriend to loser boyfriend. His father dropped all contact with them and they have no idea where he could be. During the summer break his mom met a man. They started dating and they moved one last time.

When he started high school it was painful to see all these kids greet each other because they've known each other their whole lives, they didn't know what it was like to make friends and then leave and then have the entire process again in a year or so. He knew he was going to get picked on, he was the new kid. The new kid always got picked on and sure enough; as Steve was getting his food a group of seniors walked up to him and they pressed him for his lunch money. He wasn't in the mood to talk his way out of another bully. So he did the only thing sensible at the time when your patience wears thin. He hit the biggest kid of the group square on the face with the lunch tray he had. The kid dropped and the other two ran for it. He got himself a week of detention, but he wouldn't get picked on again. In the days that followed he got hired by a few kids to ward off bullies. As the year went on he met the others in the group.

With his school life all settled and taken care of, his home life was far from perfect. His mother's boyfriend seemed like a cool guy at first. Then as the years rolled on his mom's boyfriend became more and more verbally abusive. A couple of kids he could take care of, but that man was a different story. He was mentally unstable, he went from calm to violent faster than you can drop a coin. It also didn't help the man had a couple of inches and at least 50 lbs on him. The closer he was to graduating the more relentless the abuse came. The worse part wasn't the abuse, the worst part was the fact his mother stood right there and didn't say a single thing.

Before Steve left home his mother told him the truth. He wasn't devastated, the last few years had made him strong. When the group goes their separate ways, he's going to his grandmother's to find his own way.

Family:

Biological Father: Unknown

Biological Mother: Unknown

Ashley Coltman: Adopted Mother: Alive: 48

Alex Coltman: Adopted Father: Unknown: 50

Emily Coltman: Adopted Sister: Alive: 16

Secrets He's adopted, he talks to himself (calls it the most intelligent conversation he has all day), he has insomnia, and he was mentally abused the entire time he was in high school.

So begins...

Whether your arriving by car, bus, or taxi your doing what it takes to get there. The group is assembling for a last hooray. Will this be a vacation of fun or will this break the friends up? "What, are you serious? Your telling me that you need more today? For Christs sake, Todd. I told you that I was leaving today. Why didn't you call me yesterday? You know what? You ran out. That's why your calling me TODAY." Steve was getting angry at the only other friend he had besides the group. His incompetence had finally gotten to Steve. "I have what you need meet me in 20 minutes, and I mean REAL time not stoner time. So, get your lazy ass off your couch and get to," Steve gave him the address to the beach house. He turned off his cell phone and started his ruby red '96 Mustang. He pulled out of his driveway and looked out the window. He saw his mom's boyfriend in the window of his house. He flipped him the bird and took off.

"Finally, if I never see his face again it'd still be too soon.", Steve said to the air. He drove in silence for a little bit, but his mind soon drifted to Todd. "That piece of... Grah, thinking about him makes me so mad. He's freaking lucky that I have more than enough weed to get me through until I get to Connecticut." He took his cell phone and whipped it out the window. He didn't want Todd or anybody else bothering him on this trip. He pulled out another phone from his pocket and plugged the audio jack into it. After a few swipes and taps of his finger, Blink 182's song "Wishing Well" came on. He jammed out the entire time there.

8:45 am

Steve pulled up to the house and whistled. He doesn't remember ever coming here. "Fancy place they got here." He saw Todd's car parked. "Finally he does something right," Steve turned off his car and reached to the back seat. He got his duffel bag and opened it. Soon, his entire car reeked of weed. He finished what he needed to do and closed it back up. He tossed in the back and got out. As he was closing the door he remembered something, "Don't want to smell like weed. Khloe would probably kill me," Steve said grabbing his can of Axe. He sprayed the cologne and soon smelled better. He walked up to Todd's car and knocked on the window. Todd looked kinda pale, pasty and a bigger stoner than Steve.

"Hey, Steve how's it going?" Todd said as he rolled down his window.

"Not good, Todd. Not good. At All. Now, I'm going to tell you exactly what is going to happen. Here's your weed," Steve said throwing the bag in his lap. Todd gave him some cash, "Now your going to get lost and stay lost. If I ever see your face again. I will make you regret it. Now, I'm going to give you the name and number of the guy I get it from. Tell him Xander sent you. He'll know what your talking about. He will take care of you from now on. Out of all my customers I'm giving this number to you. That's only because you helped me so many times over the years. Thank you for that Todd. Now leave. And never come back." He knocked on the roof the car twice and heard a noise. Somebody else was arriving. "Shit, seriously? Todd shut up and stay like that."

There was nothing more relaxing than watching the boats cruise through the water while on top of the bridge that connected New Jersey to the peninsula that was Seaside Heights. The bright blue colors shining upon the ocean's surface brought back many memories of Ellie's childhood. She had been to the Jersey Shore a couple of times with her family. It seemed to always stay the same, which was what she liked most about it. That, and the salt water taffy her dad brought her and her sister, Suzanne, every time they walked the boardwalk. Things would be different this summer, however. Ellie wouldn't be spending time at the Jersey Shore with her family, but with her friends. Although she wasn't too sure how good of a decision that would be, her therapist, Doctor Houston, thought it would a good experience for her, and take her mind off of other things...

The radio was playing some sort of poppy, electric song as her mom pulled up to the side of the beach house. Ellie hadn't had time to receive her permit yet, so she still had to have her other family members drive her places. It was utterly embarrassing, to say the least. She was probably the only eighteen-year-old she knew without a driver's license.

"Do you have all of your stuff?" her mom asked her as though she were still a child from elementary school. "Yup," she replied, "I made a checklist and everything before we left."
"Okay," said her mother, "Well, goodbye, sweetheart. See you in a couple days. Be safe! Love you!"
"Love you too, ma." she said, opening the passenger door and revealing a navy-hued outfit that contrasted greatly with the pastel colors of the other beach houses. "Oh, and Ellie," her mother added, "try to have fun, okay?"
"Okay." she nodded in reply, although in her mind, she made no such promises.

After getting her suitcase from the trunk, Ellie waved to her mother, who slowly drove the emerald-colored mercedes away. She turned and took a deep breath, realizing that this vacation she signed up for had just begun. She saw red mustang, which could only be Steve's car, and another car she didn't recognize. The eighteen-year-old pulled her brown suitcase behind her as she approached her friend nearby.

"Heya, Steve. How are ya?" she said, trying not to scrunch up her nose. He smelled heavily of axe cologne - a cologne that shouldn't exist, in her opinion. She turned to face the guy in the car beside him. "Who's this?" she asked. That's when she noticed the bag in his lap. Unfortunately recognizing the pungent odor coming from it, Ellie could tell that marijuana was inside.

She gave a serious, deadpan expression. "Well, clearly I'm interrupting something."

8:25

Khloe was frantically running around her room, which looked like a tornado went through it; Tornado Khloe. "Ma have you seen my pink crop top the one that says "Flawless"on it?" She hollared "No Baby now hurry up your guest are going to get to the house before you" Chloe groaned. She just bought that top specifically for today. Finally she just sighed heavily before standing in front of the full length wrought iron mirror in her room. She and Sammie spent hours trying on clothes and getting ready in front of that mirror they even kissed the mirror in their signature color lipsticks. She put her hands on her hips, narrowed her winged eyeliner eyes, and puckered her neutral pink lips before examining the outfit. It was a bustier top with high waisted shorts and her favorite sandals , though she really wished she was wearing her platform peach sandals instead. But the shorts highlighted her long curvy legs and toned butt and the top exposed her flat midriff. "Ok Ma I'm leaving, make sure Leo doesn't leave too late," She said, slipping the platform heals in her bag anyway.

She ran downstairs to their bright yellow kitchen, where her mother, grandmother, and grandfather sat." Ok bye guys" She said as she set her bags down. She kissed her grandfather on the cheek, who winked and patted her arm before returning to his breakfast, then gave her mom a big hug and kiss on the cheek before nodding at her grandmother, who was eyeing her outfit. She quickly grabbed her bags, careful to squat and not bend, then headed outside. The warm summer air engulfed her in such a familiar way that she couldn't help but smile. She sat in her sky blue Mini Cooper and quickly turned to one of the popular pop and hip hop stations. "You know what to do with that big fat butt!" burst through her speakers and she couldn't help but do that cheeky dimpled grin she was known for.

8:50

She pulled up in the familiar stony driveway to see three cars. First she spotted Ellie's beautiful thick curly hair. "Ells!" She practically screeched in delight. She dropped everything and ran to her. But she quickly slowed as she saw Steve and Todd. Realization hit her as she made eye contact with Todd. She blushed and looked away, suddenly feeling like a small child. "Stevie you promised..." She chastised before tuning, and heading back down the driveway for her bags. She walked back to the house with her nose in the air and her already plump lips a little puckered in agitation. She knew she looked like a child whenever she got angry but right now she didn't care.

Once she got in the house she pulled her hair, which reached just above her waist in the front (Sammie talked her into letting it grow super long) into a high ponytail, though she left her curly tendrils around her face out. Khloe had hair that most girls envied it was long and dark but not too thick and naturally fell in big curls, except for around her face, where the curls were fine and much tighter. "Damn I hope Sammie had a straightener' She said biting her lip. She and Leo always got one of the single rooms, even though when Sammie was there she and Sammie usually just shared a single room. She really was worried about Ellie and Sammie. There seemed to be tension there but she didn't understand it.

8:35

James' alarm clock went off way too late. He'd had it for over five years, but he just never got around to buying a new one. It was set for 7:30, and it didn't buzz until 8:15. He had planned on leaving the house around 8:15. He still hadn't taken a shower, and was just getting dressed. He put on a pair of khaki shorts and a white and blue striped tank top. He was considering which shoes to wear when his sister, Missy, walked in his room.

"Little brother," she said. Missy, who was 20 years old and still living at home, had no sense of privacy. "make sure you bring condoms with you. Just in case." She smirked at him and sat down on his bed.

"Whatever Miss," James replied. He grabbed his white boat shoes and walked out of the room. Downstairs, in the kitchen, his mother was cooking breakfast. "You want some eggs before you go, honey?" she asked him. He answered no, adding that he was already late. He kissed her goodbye on the cheek, grabbed the keys to his van, and walked out, ready to start his vacation.

8:50

After getting lost twice, he finally pulled into the driveway of the beach house. He saw that Khloe, Ellie, and Steve were all there already. There was another car that he didn't recognize, too. He jumped out of his car, grabbing his one suitcase, and walked towards Ellie and Steve, who were standing by the driver's window of the foreign car. When he could see who was sitting in it, he realized it was Steve, a major stoner kid from school, who had picked on him one or two times.

"Steve," James said. "didn't know you were joining in on our vacation." He had noticed the bag of marijuana in his lap, but ignored it. It was no surprise, really.

'Damn it, she had to be to one to show up right now. Huh, time to save face and make Todd do a a disappearing act. The faster I get him out the faster I can forget this happened.' He thought as he turned around and saw who showed up.

"I'm doing great Ellie. This here is Todd, and fortunately he's leaving us right now," Steve replied to Ellie and as he spoke the last few words he heard another car pull up. He saw Khloe get out his heart dropped. Now he really needed to get Todd out of here. If she was here than Leo wouldn't be far behind, actually the fact he wasn't with her is kind of surprising. He snapped backed to reality, when Khloe spoke him.

"I did, and I had every intention... But, it doesn't really matter now does it?" He sighed. He didn't make much money from selling weed, so when Khloe asked him to stop he agreed. He had that table set up from April to the end of school. So he made a couple of pretty pennies. He had about 2000 bucks in cash somewhere in his stuff. He cursed himself for not taking care of Todd yesterday. It would have solved so many problems, he dismissed the thought, 'No use crying over spilled milk.' He turned around to Todd and said, "Get out of here, man. It's been nice man, but not real nice. Maybe I'll see you at the reunion." He said to his only other friend. As he was saying his final goodbye James pulled up as well.

"He's not staying, James." Steven said to James. A couple years back, it got back to Steve that Todd was bullying James. He took Todd aside and told him not to pick on him anymore, and with Todd being Steve's friend he listened. He motioned Todd to leave and right after his car started, he pulled out, and said, "Have a good life Steve."

'Yeah, as things look right now, I'm sure this a fucking fantastic start to a life.' Steve thought himself. "Well, I need to go kick myself a few times, and I'm sure this is going to get back to Leo. I think we might actually swing this time. So, I'm gonna take a walk," He said walking to his car and opening the door. He put his key in the ignition and turned it so he could roll up the windows. He grabbed his pack of smokes, his phone and his skull candies. He put his ear buds in and turn on the music. He pressed the lock button twice on his key chain and started waking.

Chloe was still a bit upset about Todd and Steve but decided she needed to greet her friends as they pulled up. So she slipped off her sandals and instead wore her platform sandals and headed downstairs. Once she made it to the living room she glanced out the big window facing the front of the house and squealed in delight at the sight of James. Jamie!" She shouted in delight from in the house. She ran from the living room to the front door and down the front steps. Then once she reached him she launched herself in his arms and hugged him tightly. Most people seeing this would say that they look like a couple but Khloe and James were as far from a couple as the sun were from the moon. Once he set her down she hugged him once more before saying "My sweet genius Jamie" She then realized she hadn't hugged Ellie. So she stood in front of her held her arms out straight and did the puppy face she had perfected over the years before giggling and pulling her into a tight hug.

"Can you guys believe we're high school graduates?" She asked once she let Ellie go. She tilted her head back and sighed. "Oh my god I'm an adult" She groaned. She did stop her groaning though as soon as she saw the pink beetle in the parking lot of a apartment complex. She grinned and stated "Sammie cannot follow directions"

To:Sammie Sweetheart
Hey Love were the big blue beach house. Two lots down.

While she had her phone out she decided she should text anybody who's not here yet. Which, she realized as she glanced around, was Rylee, who was probably hungover or his terrible car stalled, Leo , probably still sleeping (he's the cutest sleeper ever she couldn't bear to wake him up), And Lacey, probably still in front of a sketch pad or getting dressed.
To:Ry-Ry
Hungover, stranded, or held hostage by a one night stand?
Either way you better have an excuse for not being here.
To:Leo Bear
Hey sleepy head wake up your twinnnie needs you
To:Lacey Love
Hey fashionista did you forget about us little people already?

She also sent one to Steve. She was mad at him but he was her friend and she still cared about him. The truth was even tough some of the people in the group resisted him she defended him spiritedly and was always loyal to him. That's why she and him are such good friends.
To:Stevie
Stevie love, I'm not mad anymore but we WILL talk about him. Still love you though.

She attached a picture of her with duck lips to emphasize the not mad. Then turned back to her friends. "So you guys wanna roast marshmallows and hot dogs in the fire pit tonight?"

"He's not staying, James," Steve said to Jamie about Todd. Jamie was thankful for that, because he couldn't stand Todd. He had a low tolerance when it came to drugs. The second you do them, you get stupid. He waved to Todd as he backed out of the driveway, in a jokingly way. He began to walk to the house when he saw Khloe running down the steps towards him. He embraced her tightly, as if he hadn't seen her in weeks, months. He hated when girls did that in the halls between classes. But this might be his last summer with Khloe. They had gotten so close over the past six years.

He lifted her and spun around. "Khloe, we saw each other a few days ago. But I guess I missed you too." He set her down. After Khloe hugged Ellie, he walked up to her, putting both hands on her shoulders, and pulling her into a hug. When he let go, he looked around. Still no Rylee. Jamie knew he had gone to a big party at Mason's the last day. He hadn't talked to him since, but he figured he got drunk off his ass, hooked up with a random girl, and now had a hangover. "Where's Ry?" he asked Khloe. He also noticed that Leo wasn't there, but since Khloe was, he would be there soon. Lacey also hadn't arrived, but she was bound to be fashionably late.

"I'm doing great Ellie," replied Steve. "This here is Todd, and fortunately he's leaving us right now..."

As if on cue, another car pulled into the driveway. Once she saw the familiar face behind the wheel, Ellie's stony-faced expression turned into a bright smile. "Ells!" Khloe Chase greeted her, dropping her bags and everything just so she could run in her direction. "Koko!" she replied, ready to embrace her once she approached. She didn't approach, but rather stopped in front of Steve and Todd. It didn't take long for Khloe to realize what Ellie had noticed a minute ago. "Stevie you promised..." she reprimanded, swiftly grabbing her bags and sauntering up to the house in agitation. James had arrived not too long after. "Steve," he said, "didn't know you were joining in on our vacation." From the look in his eyes, Ellie could tell that he was immediately conscious of the marijuana in Todd's lap.

She smiled back at Steve in a mirthless manner, everything but her lips displaying another serious expression. Before James had showed up, Ellie could hear Steve commanding Todd to leave. "He's not staying, James." he said, the car beside him rolling away almost instantly. With some sort of vague expression she couldn't read, Ellie watched as Todd told Steve to 'have a good life', leaving the blonde-haired boy in a troubled state. "Well," he said afterwards, "I need to go kick myself a few times, and I'm sure this is going to get back to Leo. I think we might actually swing this time. So, I'm gonna take a walk." After grabbing a few items from his car, Steve took off, earbuds pressed into both sides of his head. Ellie watched him walk away in silence, and crossed both of her arms. "Ain't he just the most charming businessman you've ever seen?"she asked James sarcastically, giving him a smirk and a way to tell him that she was on his side. She had heard about the despicable things Steve's friend had done to James. She had been gone for two years, but it wasn't like she was out of the know.

Before he could head inside, Khloe came out of the house with her hair tied in a high ponytail and platform sandals instead of regular ones. She hugged James tightly, and he spun her around. "Khloe, we saw each other a few days ago. But I guess I missed you too." Ellie smiled, and soon she was hugging Khloe as well, reproducing the same silly puppy-dog expression that her friend had given her before wrapping her arms around her. It felt like the greatest hug that Ellie had received from her in years, and she couldn't help but break out into a chorus of giggles. She then turned to James. He placed his arms around her shoulders, and she did the same, all the while giving him a jocular expression. James hugged her, and she did the same. After patting his back, she pulled away, listening to what Khloe had to say.

"So you guys wanna roast marshmallows and hot dogs in the fire pit tonight?"
"Of course!" Ellie roared in reply, "You didn't even need to ask!"
She giggled again, and then noticed the brown suitcase still by her side. "I'm going to go put my stuff in the house. Maybe unpack a little..."

She walked inside and marveled at the luxuriously monolithic atmosphere of the house. Everything was absolutely bright and beautiful. She'd get used to staying in here for sure. She carried her suitcase up the stairs, where she picked out a single room. Ellie started putting some of her clothes in the closet until she came across her notebook. Her therapist had advised her to write her daily activities, thoughts, and feelings while she was away. She didn't really see the point of it, but she did like writing, so she thought it'd be something she could at least look forward to if the trip ended up turning into shit. Producing a pen, Ellie looked around, and then jumped onto the bed. She opened her notebook, and started to write.

8/10 ~ 9 am

Just arrived at the house. The drive to Seaside was nice. There was some traffic, but nothing too bad. I can't get over how nice the inside of this house is. It's so magnificent...I wish you could see it. When I first arrived, I found Steve with his friend, Todd. Steve had obviously given him a bag of weed, which he had sprawled across his lap before driving away.

She paused and looked over what she had wrote. Realizing that she might get Steve in trouble if her therapist were to go over what she had written, she decided to cross out her last sentence, and then continued.

Steve had obviously given him a bag of weed, which he had sprawled across his lap before driving away. We talked, and then Todd drove away. Khloe and James are also here. Khloe's mentioned roasting hot dogs on the fire pit tonight. I really hope that happens...
I guess I'll write again later.

She then closed her notebook, leaving it on the desk beside her bed. Ellie turned to the window, and opened the white curtains that shielded it. A beautiful view of the water came into view. She immediately became enraptured with the picturesque scenery, and placed a hand on the window pane while she took a few seconds to take it all in.

Khloe stood in front of the pantry with her long nails tapping on the door. She glanced, for the fifth time at the counter as she mentally did a checklist 'Ok chocolates?check. Nutella?check.Graham crackers?' She broke off a piece of one and popped one of the corners in her mouth 'Check. She put those in one of her eco friendly tote bags before pulling the two coolers (or dragging) toward the fridge. She filled one those with hot dogs (and more chocolate) and the other with Sodas, water, hard lemonade, and beers (if they were going to drink she'd rather they do it here). Once she double checked she took the bag and the light cooler down the back stairs. She set up the snacks on the outdoor kitchen counter before opening the mini fridge outside and loading all the stuff from the cooler in there. Her eyebrows shot up when she noticed one of her moms tasty fruity vodka mixes in there as well. She grabbed her now empty bag and headed back inside.

Before she forgot she put plastic cups in the bag and headed upstairs to her room, though she was pretty sure Sammie was going to sleep in there too. After a quick shower (she was sweaty) she temporarily slid into a big t-shirt that hung down to her mid thigh (probably James, Rylee, or Steve's) and headed toward her room. She passed one of the rooms first and saw James and Rylee "Hey guys you think you can take the heavy cooler outside for me?" She asked as brushed her wet hair. Before they could answer she said "Thanks guys, also if you could start the fire that would be spectacular" She asked them because besides Sammie (who she needed for girl time) They spent the most time at the beach house. Her mom always had an open door policy for the three of them.

she went back in her room and turned on her Spotify getting dressed playlist. Which were really just girl power songs, lots of Beyoncé, and the soundtrack to confessions of a shopaholic. She had thoroughly brushed her hair so it hung down her back but it was quickly starting to curl. So she sprayed her summer waves curl control spray in it and prayed she wouldn't look like a precious moments doll. She slipped on a casual outfit before flopping on her bed. She grabbed the closest magazine and began thumbing through it.

Around 8 pm, Ellie found herself outside. She was on the beach near the house, taking photographs of the water just before the sun was about to set. Her small, black camera looked cheap, but it actually took very nice quality photos. She liked to use it while she was travelling. It provided her with great memories, and whenever she flipped through all of the pictures she had taken, she relived those great memories once again.

Her outfit hadn't really changed - she still wore the same tank top, shoes, and jeans. However, the back of her hair was parted into two identical pigtails, and a gray zip-up hoodie was draped across her shoulders. After a while, Ellie quickly headed down the stone path back to the house, where she soon spotted James and Rylee huddled around the fire pit.

"Fire!" she cheerfully exclaimed once she observed the orange and red flames that were dancing across the blocks of wood and the crumpled up pieces of newspaper. "I'll go let everyone know."

She headed inside, and ran to the staircase, tilting her face upwards. "Guys!" she projected, "Firepit's ready! Get your butts outside!" She then walked to the kitchen, where she grabbed marshmallows, hot dogs, buns, graham crackers and chocolate bars before heading outside again.

There were sticks in one of the outdoor kitchen's cabinets. Ellie grabbed them and put them on a tabletop nearby. Once everything was ready, she grabbed a stick of her own, and pierced it through a hot dog. She then started roasting it on the fire, and started to smile instinctively.

"Y'know what this campfire needs? Music. Like, an awesome acoustic guitar or something..." she said aloud.

{“Would you destroy Something perfect in order to make it beautiful?”― Gerard Way }

Lacey was late, very late. She was aware of that as she stood in her mentor's fashion studio. She watched with a close eye on the design he was trying to bring to life, the gown laid in front of them and it was gorgeous, close to perfect even... But, something was off and for hours now the two tried to find out what it was. What made the dress look so incomplete? Was the cut too short, were the colors off? No and more Lacey looked at it the more it irritated the young Italian that she couldn't figure it out. "Bloody hell! Forget it, I can't put my finger on it, darling! Go, get home before it get any later. You've been here long enough as it is." Her mentor, James Issac shouted as he stormed off to his office space in the small loft. As he slammed the door, the girl jumped as she sighed in defeat to grab her bag. She looked at the time, 8 at night. She had been in the small loft since 7 in the morning with no break. But, the two wanted to make their last summer together count. Because of James, she had been given the opportunity to go to Italy to study fashion among the best in the world. Even if that meant leaving her close friend and fashion idol, he wouldn't let her refuse the chance. The girl slung the bag on her shoulder as she continued to look at the dress.

She tilted her head as she softly walked back towards it. The dress was made of the same red fabric all around and while it looked like roses, it still looked like just fabric. This client was bizarre and wanted a one of a kind dress for the red carpet. She bit her lip softly before gasping. "James! I got it! I know what would make it look perfect!" She said as she knocked on the stained glass doors. "I knew I could count on you. Now, come. Tell me what your idea is, darling." James moved back towards the table as Lace moved to the vase of roses that James' girlfriend had sent him from Paris. She hurried to the table and put the rose on the button half of the dress. James raised an eyebrow as he looked at his intern. "Hear me out her, James. She loves roses and avant grade fashion, right?" James softly nodded his head before she continued. "Then what's more avant grade and original than cover the whole dress in fresh roses?" She asked as James thought about it. "C'mon, Jay. I have been with you for almost two years now and I have never been able to sketch something for you. All I need is a couple of hours, I swear I'll have it for you in the morning."

"Fine."

"James, please I swear I won't disappoint y--.." She stopped before smiling and looking towards her friend. "Did you say yes?!" James just nodded as he smiled. Lacey hopped up and down softly before hugging her boss. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I swear I won't let you down, the dress will look beautiful. Honest." Lacey assured him as she grabbed her sketchbook and the rose and put them in her bag. "I believe it. Now, go. It's eight at night, get to your friends before they forget about you." James teased as he kissed her right cheek as she rolled her eyes with a smirk on her face. "Have a good night, James!" She said to the man as he made his way back to his office which was playing Don't You Forget About Me very loudly. "Goodnight to you too, Lace." Once he shut the doors to his office, Lacey jumped up and down softly in celebration. "Finally." She said softly to herself as made her way to the elevator and pushed the first floor button. It didn't take long for her to make it to her white beetle car. She tossed her bag in the passenger seat before starting the car and letting her Beyonce playlist start playing throughout the car as she started the drive to her and her friends' new house for the summer. She turned to her phone and realized that she still had her phone off. James had this rule for his employees, no phones. He thought that they killed their ideas and imagination. When she turned it on, she saw a text from Khloe. She smiled as she read it but, also formed a lump in her stomach. She still couldn't face the fact that she would be moving out of the country after this summer. While all her friends stayed in the country, she would be thousands of miles away. What if they forgot about her? What if they replaced her with some other loud Italian girl while she was gone? And when she came home, they acted as if they never met her... She was overreacting. She knew that, but to her it was a possibility. A lot could chance in a couple of months. She shook it out of her head as she put her phone back in her bag and turned her attention back to her car as she started her drive to the beach house.

She parked her car outside as she checked her reflection in the car mirror. She moved a piece of her curly brown locks behind her ear before grabbing the bag and rushed inside. She already had her things packed in the back of her car as she moved towards the truck to grab two of her four and a half suitcases. Lace put her purse on top of one and her duffle bag over her shoulder as she walked inside. She cleared her throat as she walked towards on of the rooms. She was quiet as she wanted to surprise them. She laid the bag against the wall before heading back out to grab her other two bags.

After putting them along with the others, she changed out of her black jacket and skirt in replacement of a more suitable outfit for a bonfire. Not that she had a lot of 'causal' clothes. But, she did by a few for their bonfire nights. She change from her heels to a pair of red Vans and topped off the outfit with a black jacket from a friend of hers that she never remembered to give back. She snuck out to where she could hear talking between her friends. She walked outside and zipped up her jacket a bit before looking around in the backyard. "A bonfire. Awesome." She said as she looked around. "Where is everyone else?" She asked Ellie with a softly raised eyebrow.

"..ted."

Steve jolted up in terror, he rubbed his eyes as he assured himself it was only a dream. Now that he was awake, he had trouble recalling the nightmare. He looked around and saw that he had made it to one of the unoccupied rooms in the beach house. He looked towards the window and saw darkness. "Huh, guess I sleep for a while." His memory started to become clearer now.

"That's right, I got back here, dragged all my crap up here, and started to read." He said as he picked up the book off the floor, "The Colorado Kid," by Stephen King. He looked over at his stuff and saw there was a hole in his duffle bag. "You have got to be kidding me..." Steve said getting off the bed and walking over to his stuff. He opened the bag and checked the contents.

"I'm missing a shirt..." Steve said as he finished. He shrugged it off; it wasn't it was his favorite shirt and he could always get a new one.

"Guys, fire pit's ready! Get your butts outside!" He heard someone yell up. He sighed as he got up. He did not want to deal with a fire pit right now. Steve bent down and grabbed his backpack and threw it on the bed. He opened it up and pulled out an A&W Root Beer can. He untwisted the top and pulled out a bag with roughly thirty clear plastic capsules with green stuff inside of them. He took two out and downed them with a Pepsi sitting next to the bed. He screwed the lid back on with the bag inside and put it back in his backpack.

He checked himself really quick to see if anything was majorly out of place before heading downstairs. He followed the sound of the talking to find the fire pit. When he stepped outside and saw Ellie, James, Rylee, and Lacey.

He walked up to the group and said, "What's going on germs and germettes? I swear there's nothing more infectious than a nice fire and marshmallows. My sense of humor is sick this evening isn't it?," He kept looking into the fire, he didn't know who just shot him a dirty look, but boy he could feel it, "I know my jokes aren't well, but their nothing to sneeze at either." He had loads more, and he knew he'd have a bunch more when the capsules kicked in. This was going to be a fun camp fire.

Khloe patted Sammie's long slender arms before nodding "Yeah he can be pretty disgusting," She giggled. She bit her lip mid giggle though. Khloe and Sammie never really discussed Rylee's feelings for Sammie. She liked it better that way. She didn't want to be pitied. She went up the mirror one last time to check her outfit, she always checked her outfit like five times (not including quick glances in reflective surfaces). It fit her nice, but she couldn't help wishing she was more slender like her friends. Khloe had plush curves and a full bust that no amount of working out could control. I mean it was nice sometimes but she wished she inherited her moms willowy features instead.

She could faintly hear Ellie summoning them downstairs, so she turned off her music. "Time to go," She said with a dimpled grin. She quickly went through her closet and found a gorgeous acoustic guitar. She didn't know the name or type but when her dad bought it for her the vendor freaked out... Until he found out it was just for decoration on her wall.Ellie freaked out too when she visited freshman year and saw it all shiny and untouched on the wall. "Did somebody say music?" She hollered down the stairs. Khloe's voice tended to travel so she knew they could hear her. She tucked it under her arm and headed downstairs, knowing Sammie was right behind her.

"I can't play it but I brought the guitar." She said with a blush creeping up her cheeks. The guitar was a funny story for the friends that she knew since seventh grade. She began seventh grade looking like a chubby dark cherub and she swore by eighth grade all the boys in her class would say she was pretty and she would learn to play guitar. She only accomplished one goal. She set the guitar next to Ellie because she knew she would take the best care of it.

She spotted Lacey as soon as she went outside. It was had to miss the statuesque girl with the wild curls. "Hey Lacey Love" She said hugging her, even though Lacey was taller than her. Well then again she was the shortest in the group. Not short! Just shortest. "You look amazing, be sure to keep me in the loop with the latest trends" She had to admit her group was always well dressed. I mean Ellie's been more nonchalant lately but she's still pretty.

She playfully swatted Steve but he pulled her into a hug afterwards. Before settling in the sand in front of James."Did you guys get anything to drink?" She asked nodding toward the mini fridge. She turned to Sammie "My mom even left that cocktail stuff you like. We just can't use the glasses, my grandma would freak out."She propped up on the counter and smoothed out her leggings. "Oooh I say we play dish and drop!" She said with a mischievous grin. "It's the game where you have to either dish out a story about somebody else or drop a secret of your own."

Sammie groaned, and followed Khloe out of the room, and outside where everyone else was waiting. She spotted Rylee, and being good friends with him, went over and sat in his lap. She knew he was half-drunk, and probably wouldn't even remember this. "Hey Rylee, baby." She giggled, then got up, and sat next to Khloe in the sand.

Her eyes widened at the mention of Khloe's game, "Dish or Drop". Sammie hated that game. Khloe always wanted to play it, and it was always Sammie that ended up giving the most away. That's how Khloe found out about Rylee liking Sammie. Or so she thought. She sighed, and shook her head, looking at Khloe. "Do I have to play?" She frowned, and wiped some sand off, that had already somehow gotten in her lap.

Sammie hated all these childish games. She knew they were just made to make her look awful. Sammie had played things like, "Truth or Dare?" and "Spin The Bottle", when she was younger. She'd always get publicly humiliated somehow, and lose that group of friends. Sammie guessed that was how she was so... different. She had experience from all the different social groups, and knew how to act with each type.

Sammie then noticed Khloe's guitar. "You brought your guitar? I didn't even see it earlier! Play something, Khloe, baby!" She smiled. Sammie loved to sing in her freetime, and that was part of the reason she was ditching this place after this trip, that no one really knew about. She couldn't remember if she'd told Khloe yet or not, but knowing herself, she probably didn't. Singing had been her habit since she was little, and was good at it. She heard of an agent out-of-state that was good with beginning singers, so she said, "Why not?" .

Day Two
| August 10| 10:00 a.m | thirteen days left|

Image
Its a beautiful Sunny day. The group hopes that by spending the time on the beach maybe the awkwardness will fade away. Thy plan to head to an area closest to the house. Which is still actually pretty close to the boardwalk.

Recap of last night:
The night began with a few laughs as they shared stories and remenisced. A few members of the group drrank a bit much and things started to take a dangerous turn so instead of playing the game they decided to plan for tommorow. They bys wanted to go down to the public beach during the day and head clubbing that night, the girls said that would be fine as long as they got to pick the plans the next day. Just as everyone was ready to tun in for the night a visitorr arrived. To Khloe, Sammie, Rylee, and James dismay it turned out to be Khloe's spiteful cousin Vanessa.

Vanessa insisted that the group was boring and challenged them to a drinking game of never have I ever. Twenty minutes in (by that time everyone was buzzed) she said Never have I ever liked my best friend's crush Then once Sammie begrudgingly took a sip she turned to ask Khloe how it felt to know that the guy you've always had feelings for wanted your best friend. Khloe of course ran off, completely mortified. Ellie and Lacey went after her but before Ellie left Vanessa smirked and said "I bet you know exactly how it feels to be jealous of Sammie" Ellie then went to her room. Lacey ended up sleeping in Khloe's room. The boys went to their own rooms. But not without Vanessa winking at Steve

Sammie woke up in the hot sand on the beach, where she sat last night. She couldn't remember much, but there were a couple of empty glasses and a bottle next to her. "Oh no.." She sighed, and buried her head under her arms. The sun was so bright, she had a headache. After a few minutes of just laying, she sat up, the white sand reflecting the sun's rays, making her believe she was in a desert at first, until she heard the soft crash of the waves onto the shore. Sammie ran a hand through her messy hair, and shook her head. If there was alcohol, then Vanessa couldn't be too far behind.

Stumbling around in the sand as she got up, carrying the glasses and bottle, she went inside the beach house, and looked around. Why couldn't she remember last night? Something seemed off. She put the glasses and bottle on the counter in the kitchen, and suddenly made a beeline for the bathroom. She was definitely hung over. After doing her thing in the bathroom, Sammie went to the mirror in the hall way. She looked at herself, and sighed. She had this horrible empty feeling that she hurt someone, but she honestly didn't know who.

Finally, Sammie shrugged, and sat on the stairs. She leaned her head against the railing, and closed her eyes, letting out a long sigh.

8:50

Khloe woke up to a slight twing in her head. She groaned ad slowly opened her eyes, which were a bit stuck due to the fact that she fell asleep in mascara. She glanced over to see that Lacey was asleep next to her, a halo of curls envoloping her face. That's when all of last nights events flooded through her. She groaned and raked her hands through her hair. After some serious reluctance, she climbed out of her bed and paded to one of the bathrooms. She turned on the shower but went to the mirror first. She wanted to see how she looked, she wanted to memorize this feeling, so she'd never have to feel it again. Her hair was plastered frizzy, her eyes had black smudges along the bottom, her cheek had a faint black streak along it, and her eyes were red from crying. She groaned loudly. Why me?, she thought as she slipped into the shower. She sighed, letting the hot water and steam engulf her. She thoroughly scrubbed her face, her body, and her hair.

When she opened the bathroom door the smell of Vanilla and honey suckle. She had completely refreshed herself. Her skin was dewy, her hair deep conditioned, and her skin softened. I am pretty, I can have any boy I want She chanted. She walked to her room with her head high but when she slipped in she sighed. Lacey was still sleeping so she grabbed her clothes and got dressed in the bathroom. She slipped on her sexiest bikini's. It was a string bikini, but was wired so it still fit her comfortably. She then slipped a long tank ove it that hit her upper thigh, she opted to not put shorts on under it, but packed a pair of white cotton short shorts anyway.

9:40

Khloe headed downstairs and grabbed an iced coffee from the fridge. She headed downstairs but stopped when she saw Sammie on the stairs. A lump formed in her throat, choking her up but she swallowed it down and walked by, mumbling a "Hey" before passing her. She slipped out the door, to one of the terraces and sat in one of the lounge chairs.

Vanessa smirked as she awoke. She flipped her long blonde hair, out her way and slid out of bed. She was quite pleased with herself. So far she'd pretty much ruined her spoiled little brat cousins vacation and found a hot guy to play with. After showering, she slipped into a tiny bikini and a pair of cheeky shorts that showed the bottom curve of her butt. Then skipped down the stairs where she saw Sammie. She grinned her cat like grin before poking out her lip and saying "Poor baby" She sneered, Perfect little Khloe doesn't like you anymore because you took Rylee? By the way, nice job. I mean you could have any boy in the group, especially since you want every boy in the group and you take the one she wanted. Even better the one she made herself pretty for" She giggled "You are cold hearted Then skipped happpily aaway.

Steve groaned awake as the sun finally hit his face. "Ugh, Man. Guess those pills hit me harder than I thought." He rubbed his eyes and yawned as he sat up and swung his legs over the bed. "If I felt this bad after taking them. I don't want to imagine what I'd feel like with a hang over and this." He said standing up. He looked around and saw that he crashed in Leo's room. "Fitting, he never showed up. I sleep on his bed."

Steve was the only one who didn't drink that night, or at least as far as he remembers. He could remember what generally happened, but specific details are fuzzy. He managed to sneak out of playing by volunteering to tend the fire, he said something about drunks and fires don't tend to mix. Vanessa only agreed because he made such a good case about not wanting to take an intoxicated teenager to the hospital for severe burns and explaining why a bunch of underage kids are drinking anyway. That, and she didn't know how high he really was.

He headed towards the room he put his stuff and was greeted by a person sleeping on his bed. He shrugged it off and grabbed his stuff and headed back to Leo's room. He changed out of the clothes he had on yesterday. He put on his red swim trunks and his Spiderman T-shirt. Something else happened he knew it, but he couldn't put his finger on it. It had something to do with Lacey. He thought about it for a bit and came up empty.

Steve walked up to the window and saw Khloe sitting in a chair looking very sullen. He felt bad for her, it sucked having someone you want taken from you. He tried to remember what exactly happened to end like that, but he just couldn't recall. He sighed, "Join us this year Steve, she said. You'll have fun, she said." As he finished talking to himself, he saw Sammie walk out fairly quickly and then take off running.

"Aw, Jebus. Things are not looking for this group." He sighed as he decided to head after her. He needed to know her side of things. Honestly, he couldn't care less if Sammie did anything with Rylee, but it isn't like Sammie to openly hurt her best friend. He had to get to her first before anybody else did. Steven headed down stairs and saw Ellie and Davey,

"Sup Davey, Morning Ellie." Steve said walking past the pair. He briefly wondered why Davey here, but he'd find out later. He made his way towards the front door and said, "I'm heading out. I'll be back soon." He headed outside and went to the beach directly. He found her a couple minutes later. He heard her before he saw her.

"You know, you're going to need a better hiding spot than this if you keep crying like that." Steve said kneeling next to her. "I'm not here to call you names, tell Khloe where you are, and judge you. I've already done the last one, and this," he made a movement with his hands, "Doesn't change that judgement I made so long ago. So, cheer up. You have at least one friend that cares about you. Of course I'm not sure how much I count, but it's still one more than Hitler." He smiled at her. "Anything you say, will be kept between us. Unless you spill the beans then I pretty much get a free pass."
